But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you

Wig’s Word of God Today 2-20-2011

Be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy. Leveticus 19:2b

You shall not bear hatred for your brother in your heart. Though you may have to reprove your fellow man, do not incur sin because of him. Leviticus 19:17

If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy. 1 Corinthians 3:17

But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you. Matthew 5:44

Leviticus 19:1-2, 17-18, Psalm 103:1-2, 3-4, 8, 10, 12-13, 1 Corinthians 3:16-23 & Matthew 5:38-48

A day to reflect on lost babies, silent screamers who lost the chance to live because of a law allowing their mothers to legally kill them. The destruction of God’s Temple is occurring nonstop across the world and babies are literally being thrown away in a bin without even a proper burial. “It’s best not to worry about the fetus once the procedure is over,” a friend of mine once told me a nurse said responding to the question she asked the nurse while being lead in to the death room at the clinic she went to. Yes, I know, it’s a tough subject to talk about but God is tugging on me and America to get involved and end this tragedy of lost souls across the world.

Many years ago, I was lost in the selfish moments of being 18 and my then girlfriend of 2 months had an abortion. I have never spoken of this loss with the mother after we were married had two children and were divorced. When I addressed this death 25 years later in an Emmaus retreat, I cried my eyes out to a man I did not know but since have grown to become good friends with. I reflect today because we are going to a Family Fun Day this morning after listening to the Word of God to help raise money for Respect Life. I bear no hatred in my heart and I long to share my love of His Love with the world. Pray for the babies today, tomorrow and every day.

How does one become committed to giving your all to keeping God’s Temple clean? Or is it a lost cause? The Temple of God is everything you encompass as a human fashioned in the likeness of our Heavenly Father. The passage from 1 Corinthians 3:17 makes a lot of sense when you look at what our bodies need to operate correctly in harmony with God keeping us free of disease, depression and death.”You are what you eat” is more than an expression of Truth, it’s Biblically verified in His Word. “If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy.” I believe with all my heart this includes our homes, our neighborhoods, our cities, our country and the world.

Everything belongs to Him Who made the world Who wants us to keep it clean and beautiful. There will be times you’ll see someone drop paper on the ground and instead of saying something truthfully ugly, just walk over and pick it up and smile. Yesterday I had this happen to me while in a parking lot where a young girl dropped her white danish bag as I drove into a place next to her. I got out and walked over and picked it up turning to her and her boyfriend with a smile on my face as she frowned from a distance. I know, it’s hard not to hate evil and want to stop it as we can but His Guidance in His Word gives us proof of our directions and reactions to anything evil. Even littering. Even ugliness. Even death. The day you can say I love my love of Christ is the day you can say you are “children of your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:45a

So we ask in prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, today we thank You for life and pray for the unborn of the world. Help us to be strong when we are trespassed on and to pray for our enemies as well as those who offend Your Great Name. We pray for the weak, the lonely, the depressed, the homeless and the elderly. We pray for strong families in the LORD. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Romans 8:28
“Spirit led God inspired Christ fed”

Love your love of Him- Matthew 5-38-48

Seek not his eye
Seek not his tooth
Give him your cheek
As Christ-led proof

Taken to court
Settle and renew
A shaken heart
God’s eternal glue

Will you walk just a mile?
Or prove His Truth
Sharing your energy for two
Giving your all for His use

Allow one to borrow
Smile in His Use
Enemies must be loved
Neighbors’ arm-n-arm for You

God’s child world of joy
Sinful people enjoy too
God’s daily sun will rise
God’s Son’s Death did prove

Love your love of Him
Be perfect and true
Redemption given freely
His Holiness like you

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
