Destination navigating Rome

When it was decided that we should sail to Italy, they handed Paul and some other prisoners over to a centurion named Julius of the Cohort Augusta. We went on board a ship from Adramyttium bound for ports in the province of Asia and set sail. Aristarchus, a Macedonian from Thessalonica, was with us. On the following day we put in at Sidon where Julius was kind enough to allow Paul to visit his friends who took care of him. Acts 27:1-2

Good indeed is the LORD, His mercy endures forever, His faithfulness lasts through every generation. Psalm 100:5

The next day (Jesus) decided to go to Galilee, and He found Philip. And Jesus said to him, “Follow Me.” John 1:43

Acts 27:1-2, Psalm 100 & John 1:43

If you’ve ever been incarcerated, you know how difficult it is to feel as if you’ve been stopped in your tracks obviously having no recourse to move forward except to get on your knees and pray to God. I can remember that cell door closing as cat calls from steel barred windows yelled descriptive words of fear not knowing God to hear proved by getting caught up in the silliness we fight that our will decides is right. I felt so alone so afraid was hard to overcome the sound of steals might. Here, you see Paul continuing a journey only the God Head created not the day today wishes of excess but the ongoing necessity and reality of the only way to survive is to pray.

No matter the reason you were stopped your knees should become raw with supplications truth by a soul that aches from denying God. What you want will certainly crash if it is not connected to Gods Divine Will. While Paul may have been able to be released that day, God had other plans making his journey to Rome to establish The Church of Christ that the gates of the never world will never be able to destroy. This is Mercy! This is Jesus! This is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit allowing you the opportunity to share the Good News of Life Eternal by your love, faith and hope Christ’s Charity.

Somewhere along the line after the train stops and your world seems to run out of tracks remember God can sail you around these broken tracks in waters of baptismal rejuvenation which never run dry. Many times in this journey you will come across people you do not even know praying for you while praying with you who will give you blessings without being asked such as yesterday driving into Alabama our GPS steered us to take Highway 9 to avoid an accident. We stopped at a small country store and man approached to get gas and commented to my wife about our White Cross and the message in American Flag that reads “America Needs God First” spoke to my wife and gave us a blessing without asking as we returned the grace of Christ giving him a tie from our fundraising effort of Ties Testimony. Sometimes we don’t know why God stops us in our tracks but along the way of life we find those Angels he sends to give us peace and goodwill everlasting as I envision him wearing “Jesus Walking on the Water” to Church this Sunday. Amen

Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. Lord, I am sorry. Please forgive us as we forgive others. Please be with us always. We will try to live mercy as the Works of You. We pray for each other for our warriors risking life for liberty, our leaders who guide us faithfully and for family or friends sick or troubled alone and afraid. We pray for all intentions in the silence of your own heart. Prayers for G Labelle. Closerwalkmedia.com. IN Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
