Do you have eyes and not see, ears and not hear?

Do you have eyes and not see, ears and not hear? Mark 8:18a

Genesis 6:5-8; 7:1-5, 10, Psalm 29:1a and 2, 3ac-4, 3b and 9c-10 & Mark 8:14-21

In Genesis, the LORD began to see mankind as evil and He regretted creating man to accomplish ugliness and sin. “When the LORD saw how great was man’s wickedness on earth, and how no desire that his heart conceived was ever anything but evil, he regretted that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was grieved.” Genesis 6:5-6 The LORD’s heart found favor in His servant Noah and the LORD directed Noah to build an Ark to carry the creatures and beasts of the earth. There comes a time in everyone’s life that we either listen to the LORD and do as He asks us or we take our chances with the world and live a life of selfishness. One day, we too will be drowned in a flood of sin that will take away your heart and soul or we can choose to live in peace as the flood waters rise around you by our surrender to Christ Jesus.

We are called to understand the Words and Deeds of Jesus in the verse “watch out, guard against the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.” But still the Disciples did not understand His Words because they could not see this in the multiplication of the loaves for the 4000 or the 5000 people. Since yeast, or leaven, induced fermentation in bread dough, it was a perfect symbol of the insidious effect of those who opposed Jesus. How many of us see His miracles every day but are unwilling to serve because of selfish needs?

I have written about the need for us to carry our own sign these last few days instead of waiting for a sign from God to live for Him. Yesterday I stopped and prayed with a woman who had made just a sign. She was holding an advertising sign for some company when I noticed by her feet a sign that read “Jesus loves you.” I immediately turned in and parked near her. As I got out and approached her I said, “I have asked people to make up their own sign to show their love of Christ instead of waiting for Him to give them a sign. And today here was an affirmation of this. I would like to pray with you.” And I began praying out loud with my eyes closed and as I finished I opened my eyes and she was holding her hands up high repeating “thank You Jesus, thank You Jesus, thank You Jesus.”

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, today I pray for Brother Ed Kassler and his wife, Gerry. Please place Your healing hands on him and make him well. I also pray for my son Allen Thomas Wiggins who turns 25 today. We pray we can always understand Your Word and always be focused on Your love during the floods of emotions, problems and obstacles in our lives. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

Blood of Redemption We Do- TNT Cruz-Wiggins

He is our love together
He is our protector might
He will leap for joy
When we come home at night

He stands tall by our side
He holds us up to fight
He will die for the right
At Crucifixion’s height

His shade of red excites us
Blood of Redemption we do
Valentine’s love for all Eternity
Soul-2-Soul He is our glue

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
