Wig’s Word of God Today 12-11-2010
Elijah has already come and they did not recognize him but did to him whatever they pleased. So also will the Son of Man suffer at their hands. Matthew 17:12

The story of Elijah brings about fear from those who truly believe the Lord our God is real for many reasons; The Bible tells us he was commanded by God to tell King Ahab in 1 Kings 17:1 that there would be no rain for three years because of worshiping a fake God they called Baal. Then the Lord sent him to a place where he would be brought food by ravens and drink from a stream. Ultimately, Elijah challenged the King’s Prophets to prove the Lord God was God of all by having each build a big pile of wood and throwing a killed bull on top of each pile and asking their God to set it a fire. The Prophets prayed, screamed aloud to Baal and danced, yet nothing happened. When it became Elijah’s turn, he prayed and fire rained down from heaven and burned up the wood and the bull even though Elijah had poured water all over it. Elijah proved time and time again his Lord, the One and Only Lord God, is the Lord of All forever and ever. When the Lord God took him to heaven, he took him in blazing chariot of fire. His life was an example of someone who truly loved God and followed His Will. Your fear of His Wrath is understood as Glorifying the One and Only True God.
Christ tell us here Matthew that Elijah did come again as the Scribes believed by the life of John the Baptist but they didn’t heed to his warning of repentance and did with him as they like, ultimately taking his head off in a mindless and senseless death. “Then the disciples understood that He was speaking to them of John the Baptist.” Matthew 17:13 The Son of Man was God in the flesh who brought about God’s New Covenant of love establishing the Truth once and for all. I constantly remind people Jesus was God in the flesh Who knew of His impending death on a Cross because He came to the world to live sinless and allow Himself to be nailed to a Cross for the Salvation of Sins for all Humanity. He raise himself from the dead proving only God could do such amazing acts of faith, hope and love. An Everlasting Covenant between the Lord our God and His people; You and Me. Center your life around the Cross and your love of loving Christ will be your protection from God’s coming wrath of all the world.
And so we pray: My Lord and my God, today we continue our nine day prayer of healing and peace for Jhaysonn’s primary refractory Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Please Lord place Your Healing Hands of life around his body and heal this disease. His family and Jhaysonn I believe worship You Lord as the Lord of Lords just as Elijah proved by Your fire You are the Lord God. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen. Pray, please pray.
