For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be the Will of God, than for doing evil

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-29-2011

For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be the Will of God, than for doing evil. 1 Peter 3:17

On that day you will realize that I am in My Father and you are in Me and I in you. John 14:20

Acts 8:5-8, 14-17, Psalm 66, 1 Peter 3:15-18, & John 14:15-21

There are times in your life when you are going to suffer for doing good even though you feel the LORD has forgotten you because of your suffering but in Truth you will see He has blessed you by your hurdle with patience to overcome the discourse to accomplish His Will for all eternity. Even from the smallest things in life, God has a plan to strengthen your morals, your desires for His Truth and for His graces.

Paul describes in 1 Peter 3 a need to overcome evil with good even in the midst of feeling their spite and evil anger directed at you in the midst of doing something worthy. “Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but, on the contrary, a blessing, because to this you were called, that you might inherit a blessing.” 1 Peter 3:9

When did you realize God’s Only Son dwelled in your heart and directed your every thought and action? Was it in the car? Was it in a church? Was it in a dream? Mine came from an Angel telling me to become a teacher of God’s Children and my life has never been the same since. I seek to embrace His Will in all things and I look to live only for Him.

Because He is in me I was led to an amazing weekend in the LORD giving back to the community in Truth, effort and action by participating in the God Squad for Miami Beach. Today’s journey lead me to Miami Beach by 6 PM and after some assignments and dinner we were told to wait for a briefing by Miami Beach Police. As I waited, I chose to go outside and listen to music on my iPhone and I became lost in God’s Spirit and was singing song after song out loud in a sea of volunteers and beach goers alike.

With my arms raised high I would belt out Amazing Grace with such fervor that I caused some Christian ladies and men to join in without me realizing it who were also on the God Squad. I learned my love of loving Christ caused them to go inside and begin a sing along with the entire group of volunteers. One walked by saying, “you’re the cause of this,” with a smile on her face as many joined in singing “praise God, praise God, praise God, praise God.”

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, a prayer of thanksgiving for keeping the God Squad volunteers safe. We continue our prayers for Augie Silva LORD. And today I include special intentions for a dear friend and his wife, Kelly and Karla. LORD, we pray we always seek good and turn from evil by living Your Son’s Truth. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless His Truth,

Romans 8:28
Spirit led God inspired Christ fed

The Death of Flesh is Spirit Grown

Keep Him in your heart
Share His Truth as you start
To talk with strangers or friends alike
Be not afraid of the unknown to part

People will seek a reason for hope
His love will guide them to truly cope
Conscious clear and full of love
God’s grace enjoyed from above

His suffering for sins Redeems your soul
Only once did He take up the Cross to know
The unrighteous might need to be shown
The death of flesh is Spirit grown

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
