For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have come to believe that I came from God

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-4-2011

For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have come to believe that I came from God. John 16:28

Acts 18:23-28, Psalm 47 & John 16:23-28

In the darkness of the morning, a single candle is lit by a Monk who has just awakened in a far away land to illuminate his reading of the Word of God to live in Christ’s joy each and every moment of every day. On his knees he begins to pray aloud the very Scripture each one of us is reading now to open our eyes to see the Light of Christ’s joy as Children of God. He reads aloud to himself, “Until now you have not asked anything in My Name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.” John 16:24 Tears begin to stream down his face as he welcomes this verse in his heart and he knows God has already given him everything he wants: Redemption from sin.

My imaginary Monk is a true example of how God’s Word affects me this morning and every morning as the tears of Christ’s joy roll off my cheeks as I pray for the people I have gotten to know over these last seven years of my complete surrender to His Truth. This morning I am praying how Christ’s love has impacted my life in every aspect of knowing how to embrace faith, hope and love to give true charity to those less fortunate than I and to share His Redemption with complete strangers. Today, many of my Brothers in Christ will awake in a small retreat house here in Miami to continue sharing this hope for about 30 men attending an Emmaus Retreat weekend. Their witness will lay seeds of faith in the scattered hearts of many and bring them closer to God’s Truth to strengthen their faith, their hope and their lives to begin their own Walk to Emmaus which will transform their hearts to burn as bright as the candle I lit this morning.

I lit a candle and just sat back and stared at the Light as I prayed for all those I said I would pray for and all those who have asked me to pray for them and I prepare myself to share a sign of hope to those mothers who are about to abort their child at a local abortion mill. My heart aches for these gifts of God’s love and I’m drawn to pray for our Vice President who met with the Pope yesterday not only because he is a leader in our government but because we know he’s a practicing Catholic who believes in the right to choose. He as every other leader of God’s world receives a prayer from me of hope, justice and enlightenment each and every morning as our LORD has instructed us to pray for the leaders of all countries.

As Jesus explained today, the Father loves you when you embrace Him as the Redeemer of the world and follow His Teaching of love to begin each day. When I awake each morning the first words from my mouth are, “In the Name of the Father Who made me, In the Name of Son Who saved me and in the Name of the Holy Spirit Who sanctifies me, I offer this day I’m about to take on” and I turn to my wife because she’s saying it too and I say, “Good Morning beautiful” because being One in God together I want her to know her beauty reaches every depth of my heart at every moment of every day just as the Spirit of Truth dwells in my soul forever more. Who can you share His Redemption with today to allow your love of loving His Truth to help someone who needs God through you?

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today for the continued healing of Augie Silva. We pray today for the Emmaus Weekend of St. Louis. We pray to ask You LORD for only the things we truly need to fulfill Your Will in all of our lives. We ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
