Wig’s Word of God Today 2-18-2011
For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and that of the Gospel will save it. Mark 8:35
Genesis 11:1-9, Psalm 33:10-11, 12-13, 14-15 & Mark 8:34-9:1
The LORD scattered His people around the world making sure they spoke different languages biblical scholars believe because the LORD saw the building of a city as an attempt to build an urban culture separate from God. The sacred writer also was attempting to show how different languages all over the world arose from the scattering of humanity. When we separate ourselves from God, He shows us His discourse through different means of sufferings. It’s when we take His sufferings and turn them into His Will that He in turn blesses us with graces of peace and unity.
I was talking to my mother yesterday how I feel about wasting so much of my life up to about seven years ago by not giving my all to God’s Will and living a life according to the teachings Christ Jesus. She commented, “you are burning the candle at both ends.” I couldn’t agree more. I find an energy in me I’ve never felt before because of my surrender to His Plan for my life. To many people I might appear to have lost my life but in His Word I have found my Eternal Life of sharing and living in His Truth. I pray my love of loving Christ Jesus never makes me afraid of proclaiming His Truth to live for His Will. If you are ashamed of Jesus Christ, then you are ashamed of living a life in faith, hope, charity and love and will spend Eternity in torment. For, “Whoever is ashamed of Me and of My words in this faithless and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
So we ask in prayer: My LORD and My God, today we pray to lose our life in Your Son’s Truth to accomplish all we do for His Sake. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Knowing their love of loving His kin
An inheritance of joy gained from within
The nation choosing Truth over Lucifer’s sin
Deny one’s self to take up His Cross
Follow the Way of Truth of humanity’s Boss
No profit in gaining the world of deceit
Ashamed not of My Word to forever speak
