Goodbye courage to stay alive- In Honor of Gregory Thomas Bishop

Not to us, LORD, not to us but to Your Name give glory because of Your mercy and faithfulness. Psalm 115:1

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

Acts 2:1-11, Psalm 115, First Corinthians 12:3-7, 12-13 & John 20:19-23

I am dumfounded by the gifts each of us have as much as I am dumfounded like many of you of why we lose family and friends to disease, evil and fame stealing them away in amazing gifts of grace or depressing deeds of death? I speak of deeds as the final judgment we will all have with God while adding depression for we all whine in tears the death results of all three circumstances. We know fame can be used for Good that being The Trinity of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit as much as some say good has come from the evils of war noted and exampled in World War II’s D-Day liberation.

In my trust of God I like many of you ask questions to God that leave me dumfounded as I hold the hand and feet of a dear friend fighting the disease of cancer in different forms around his body aching in severe pain wallowing in fright famined and afraid as tears roll down our faces to the soothing feeling of washing his feet with blessed water. Anointing a sick person in itself is a Spirit-filled gift taken upon the workings of Christ comforting fear from an unknown ailment that can lead to your last breath.

I didn’t have to search for Scripture or preach some fire-filled Sermon I just had to be there anointing him with confidence, courage and capability to say goodbye as much as to fight to stay alive. To cleanse him from evil rebuking disease wrapping him in peace by love’s embrace of Truth’s surrender. There are many miracles we cannot see in the death of friends or family be it the ease of pain or the smile of surrender. Each of us will forever change lives as the gifts we live by His Manifestation of His workings from the obedience we give to charity’s embrace. Amen.

Pray with me. Dear LORD, we pray our Spiritual gift is of Your Will LORD. Novena prayers day three for Cassandra Andrews. I am surrendered in Christ,

Goodbye courage to stay alive– In Honor of Gregory Thomas Bishop

We come and go unexpectedly

Death from life must occur

We live life sometimes regrettably

As mortality knocks on our door

We fight or plead most note ably

Skill learned from family or friends

Tears will fall most pleasurably

As we confess our mistakes to defend

A life of living can seem to end abruptly

Pain from disease makes us all struggle to survive

My gift to you is something very heavenly

Goodbye courage to stay alive

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
