I have dealt with great things that I do not understand; things too wonderful for me

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-2-2010

I have dealt with great things that I do not understand; things too wonderful for me, which I cannot know. Job 42:3

 Job 42, Psalm 119 & Matthew 18

The Lord calls on us to understand so little but accomplish so much. There are things we will never understand as humans. His love for us protects us from knowing everything. With such knowledge we would destroy life.  Job recognized this and he announced this to God when God spoke to him. Job’s surrender to God was resolute and could not be broken even when his entire family was taken from him and he was reduced to ashes.  By Job’s response to satan’s demise, the Lord blessed Job abundantly in his latter years and started a new.  The Bible tells us that Job’s daughters were the most beautiful woman in the world because of God’s blessings and his livestock grew into thousands living while Job lived to a “ripe old age.” I must admit my wife must be a descendant from Job’s bloodline for she is the most beautiful woman I have ever known. I too was reduced to nothing, homeless and out of work sleeping in bushes and living from a soup kitchen. His plan for me was too great for me to envision on my own.  A Trust I could give to living His Will.

But God had greater plans for me by my surrender to His Truth through His Word. The day I picked up a Bible, my strength came back to me and I have lived in His Love every second of every day since. The day was in Jesup, Georgia, and I was looking at a Bible my father had on his desk. The Good Book sat there covered in dust but radiant white with gold letters. I picked it up and felt a change in me and I sat with it outside in the sun on my daddy’s porch and began to read the Truth of Life. My life changed that day as I would soon discover by being told by an Angel to “become a Teacher of God’s children.” Just as Job, I have learned to give everything over to the Lord in thanksgiving. Being thankful for everything He gives me, everything He keeps from me and everything he takes away.  My joy too is resolute and everlasting.

Yesterday, I listened to a pastor talk about Jesus describing us to “become like children” allowing our heart, mind and soul to accept all things God teaches us as humans. His description of being childlike yet responsible captured my desires of giving everything about me to the Lord’s guidance. I agreed with his statement God did not instruct us to become childlike in our actions and responsibilities but to become childlike in our acceptance of God’s Divine Plan for our lives accepting His Truth as our guidance. Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:11-12 reminds us that (as a child) “I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things. At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known.” Loving your love of Christ allows you to experience who will be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven and this Truth will establish Christ-like adult behaviors for sharing His Love with the world. Be child-like in your understanding yet maturely driven in God’s Plan for your life.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, Your wisdom is so Great, we know we can never understand everything but we thank you for the Trinity to give us faith, hope and charity. Grant us wisdom to be child-like in our love for You as we live to see Your Will done in all things. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

Romans 28

Angels in Heaven to See

He can do all things
Life is Him abundantly
Created by His Breath
Nostrils of air Eternally

Ashes to dust to repent
His love gives life
Body’s joy completely spent
His Son’s Truth He sent

Latter days can be blessed
No matter what your life impressed
Homeless or troubles to rest
On the shoulder of His Son of no stress

A beauty all can see
In your wife, your children abundantly
Living through His love
Guided by His Truth openly

Knowledge and wisdom to Trust
Ordinances for the just
Discernment on my knees
The joy of learning Your faithful decrees

A Light of Truth You shared
God’s people are like children we dared
Simple understanding so fair
Joined to Christ Jesus we care

Greatest in Heaven to seek
Child-like attitude to greet
Angels in Heaven to see
Shining on God’s face for thee

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
