If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy. 1 Corinthians 3:17

Wig’s Word of God Today 11-9-2011

If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy. 1 Corinthians 3:17

Ezekiel 47:1-12, Psalm 46, 1 Corinthians 3:9-17 & John 2:13-22

When I awake each day, I say aloud and my wife chimes in, “in the Name of the Father Who created me, in the Name of Son Who Redeemed me and in the Name of the Holy Spirit Who sanctifies me, I offer this day I’m about to take on.” Then I say “good morning beautiful- I love you” to my amazing wife in the LORD. I begin each day in this manner to accomplish what I believe is my complete surrender to a life in Christ for during the day and as I lay down at night I call out to the LORD for strength, wisdom and guidance to build up His Temple in everything I do. My desire to be One with our LORD and Savior rings loud in every step I make longing to accomplish acts of faith, charity and love. If only humanity would treat their bodies as Paul describes as Holy, then we’d see less abuse of self and more enjoyment in worshipping our LORD.

The LORD leads me to situations to align with my study of His Word such as the experience I had with an unemployed homeless man I met yesterday after work. He was sitting on a curb in front of a convenience store and he commented about a sticker I have on my car. He was in his late 50’s and obviously needing of a bath and a hot meal but he was interested only in me buying him a beer. As I listened to him talk, I bent down and shook his hand holding it firmly I asked if he was hungry or in need of some fresh clothes I had in my car. He said no that he as interested only in a $1 for a beer.

I explained I wouldn’t buy him a beer but I would pray for him as I held my hands high above his head and called out the LORD to guide him, protect and lead him to His Son’s Truth. When I finished, I looked down shaking his hand saying, “the LORD wants you to take care of His Temple and beer is clouding your thoughts of His Truth. In Jesus Name I pray you find His Word to guide you to His Eternal Home and heal your broken spirit. Amen.” Looking into his toothless smile with tears rolling off his cheeks he said, “Amen.” As I walked away, he was smiling looking into the clouds as if God Himself was calling him to come home. “God loves you Brother,” I said. “His Truth will set you free.”

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to treat our bodies as Your Holy Temple so we may live our life void of pain and sorrow. We pray for Desmond the homeless man I met yesterday LORD. Guide him to find Your Truth. We pray for Andy Nezbith to receive the donor he needs for a new kidney. We pray for a friend of a friend named Kyle who has leukemia. We pray for a young boy named Christian who is battling brain tumors. We pray for the children of the world. We pray for Prayer Points and the need for people everywhere to be thankful to Your mercy. We pray for the LIFE FM and its ability to reach countless people to share Your Son’s Gospel. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
