Aha their Emmaus felt

May all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You, Those who long for your help always say, “God be glorified!” Psalm 70:5

Now that very day two of them were going to a village seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus, and they were conversing about all the things that had occurred. He said to them, “Oh, how foolish you are! How slow of heart to believe all that the prophets spoke! Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and enter into His glory?” Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, He interpreted to them what referred to Him in all the Scriptures. Luke 24:13-14, 25-27

Acts 3:1-10, Psalm 70 & Luke 24:13-35

We all have memories of our surrender to rejoicing in God’s Truth. Maybe yours was the day you felt the Spirit tell you in Words of Truth being read to you on a Sunday morning or maybe you had the Spirit visit you on the weekend some friend talked you into going called Emmaus. I know you remember that fire you felt as you listened to someone just like you describe the struggle of their life seemingly just like yours that makes you see things in a different light; Christ’s Light of forgiveness.

The Walk to Emmaus reminds me of the walk children do every day of their lives seeking unspoken understanding of a brain soaking up learning by mistakes and successes taught and learned so long ago by an Instructor Who laid the Foundation of the World. We learn about free will unknowingly living God’s Will to recognize Truth of rejoicing in faith, hope and love of God’s Charity. Just as Jesus suffered to enter into His Glory, we too must suffer in living to know correction as much as we know inflections of growing by reading God’s Word.

God reminds us constantly that making mistakes and growing in Truth is a constant rejoicing we should practice to live in contemplation of thoughts that create the works God’s Will produces in you. Yes, this means effort on our part to listen to the Prophets of Old knowing your passing along the knowledge of Salvation by living in Truth. Deny not the Father or His Son and He will not deny you when your Walk to Emmaus ends in an instant just as Jesus Who disappeared from sight from the Disciples so long ago. Amen.

We ask in prayer. Dear LORD, we pray our walk teaches us to love in Truth. We pray for the Emmaus Walkers of the world. We pray for every listener’s prayer intentions request across the world. Novena prayers day six for Joseph L James. Prayers for Kairos Prison Ministry of DCI#49. Greg Bishop has our never ending prayers. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. LORD, from Psalm 70:4 I chant, “Let those who say “Aha!” turn back in their shame.” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
