Nothing that enters one from outside can defile that person; but the things that come out from within are what defile

Wig’s Word of God Today 2-9-2011

The LORD God formed man out of the clay of the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and so man became a living being. Genesis 2:7

Nothing that enters one from outside can defile that person; but the things that come out from within are what defile. Mark 7:15

Genesis 2:4b-9, 15-17, Psalm 104:1-2a, 27-28, 29bc-30 & Mark 7:14-23

As a school teacher, I encounter children doing things repeatedly you ask them not to do. No matter how much you explain to some children, “don’t climb the tree because you could fall and hurt yourself” they still climb the tree when your back is turned. Even after a child has fallen and broke his arm, they still want to climb that tree. I relate this to Adam being told not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge when He said to Adam, “The LORD God gave man this order: “You are free to eat from any of the trees of the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and bad. From that tree you shall not eat; the moment you eat from it you are surely doomed to die.” Genesis 2:16-17

Humanity likes adventure. Humanity likes to seek the thrill and push the limits of living to the very edge. Some people you can’t tell anything to because they are going to do what they want or they’re going to follow anyone leading them into mischievous activity. By having God in our life we learn to pray for the lost and wondering. As a parent of five children, you learn by God’s Word to discipline your child in living the life of Christ by action and example. I see children who are schooled in the way of the LORD and those who are not and believe me, you can tell the children who are learning to act with respect, helpful enthusiasm and a true desire to learn versus the children who are lacking the fundamentals of gaining knowledge without God as their guide. I have taken on the responsibility of teaching all children but I relish teaching children who are respectful in the Glory of God the Father because their parents are taking the time to school them Biblically and they come to school eager to learn with respect as their guide.

Jesus reminds us in Mark 7 it’s not food that defiles a person but the thoughts and actions of our mind and soul. “But what comes out of a person that is what defiles. From within people, from their hearts, come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, licentiousness, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, folly. All these evils come from within and they defile.” Mark 7: 20-23 We all know what happened to Adam and Eve when they didn’t follow God’s instructions, it is our duty to teach our children and family, our friends and our coworkers the Way of Truth by our words, our deeds and our actions. God the Father breathed life into the nostrils of man by taking clay and molding him in His Image. It is our duty as His Disciple to mold our family, our friends and aquaintenances into loving their love of Christ to find the Redemption of Eternal Life. Practice, Pray and Proclaim. Amen!

And so we ask in prayer: Dear LORD. we pray today Your people will know Your Truth and teach our children to love Your Word to accomplish Your Will. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Romans 8:28

God’s Only Son Informed Us to Care

No shrub yet planted
No grass on the field
His wisdom firmly rooted
Man formed from clay to appeal

Breath of life fed into his nose
Breathing Adam smiled and rose
Eat and be filled with every grace
Forbid only to eat of knowledge’s base

This tree is of Good and Evil
Doomed to die if laid on your table
Much like that of wicked thoughts
Eternal damnation for Satan’s lot

Nourishment passes through and out
Christ informed in a parable they got
No food can defile from within
Only evil thoughts from your heart begin

To ruin a life and those around you
Killing and blaspheming alters affairs
All food is said to be clean to share
God’s Only Son informed us to care

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
