The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are Children of God. Romans 8:16

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-24-2011

The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are Children of God. Romans 8:16

Romans 8:12-17, Psalm 68 & Luke 13:10-17

Paul reminds us we are all adopted sons and daughters of God by our shared sufferings in Christ allowing not only a new relationship with God but a new life in Christ through the Spirit dwelling in us all. I for one embrace this kinship as a Child of God to imitate His Truth in faith, charity and love. We all have a chance to imitate Christ by our practice, prayer and proclamation asking our LORD to bring us strength and wisdom to an already hopeful soul to accomplish His Will in a moment-by-moment process of living for His Glory. Amen.

As we left our church yesterday, I had a feeling God was calling me to share His Charity somewhere and as we walked into a restaurant to eat with a friend there was a homeless man sitting outside alone and I stopped and asked if he wanted some breakfast. He replied, “Oh, yes sir. God Bless you.” I asked him what he would care for taking his order and going inside with my wife and close friend.

While my wife and friend stood waiting for the food, I took his coffee to him and invited him inside to sit and break bread with us. We learned his name was Andy who had eyes of blue steel and eager grin of love. We prayed together holding hands asking the LORD to bless our food and Andy’s journey for His Truth. As we enjoyed our meal together, my wife and I shared God’s love with him in Scripture and offered suggestions for him to pray about. Simple joys in life can be shared by the Spirit’s guidance of Truth to accomplish faith, charity and love. Seek to share your love of loving His Son and find His Will around every corner. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to always live as Children of God who seek to share Your Truth in faith, charity and love. We pray for Andy today that he will make a decision to turn from hopelessness to hopefulness in Your Word. We pray for the women who encountered Jesus this past weekend during their Emmaus. I pray today LORD you will fix any email problems my study has encountered in the past so Your Truth will be shared without hindrance. We pray for the children of the world. We pray for Prayer Points to be established and carried out. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

You became imitators of us and of the LORD, receiving the Word in great affliction, with joy from the Holy Spirit, so that you became a model for all the believers. 1 Thessalonians 1:6-7

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-23-2011

You became imitators of us and of the LORD, receiving the Word in great affliction, with joy from the Holy Spirit, so that you became a model for all the believers. 1 Thessalonians 1:6-7

Exodus 22:20-26, Psalm 18, 1 Thessalonians 1:5-10 & Matthew 22:34-40

The earliest mention of faith, hope and love in any form of literature comes here from Paul in 1 Thessalonians and described by Biblical scholars as the three “theological virtues” gives thanksgiving yet insistence of the selfless love missionaries of Christ give. Selfless love comes from receiving the Word with “great affliction” and has the same impact today as in any time in our history of the world. You may find your hesitancy to talk casually about God’s love in your life be it with family, friends and co-workers or complete strangers, obvious, diffident and lacking confidence but your intimacy with God’s Word increases each day the ability to share His Truth at any time or anyplace. When you become confident in the LORD, you will begin responding to people with a God Bless you in greeting as well as in passing or during normal everyday activities of shopping, eating or hanging around the water cooler at work. You can become a model for the believers today as much as Paul was in his day.

I began talking to a man in the Salvation Army yesterday who said he got out of the Army in 1962. As I commented to him that was the year I was born, he spoke of accepting the LORD in 1953 one year before joining the Army when I said “God Bless you for serving” in response to his military service. “I believe we’ll see God’s wrath soon,” he commented taking my arm in a plea to do something about it. Taking his hand and carefully shaking it up and down I responded, “I agree that if we don’t get people praying and be obedient to God’s Word, we will see the wrath of God descend on the earth as in any other time God needed to clean up the world’s unrighteous. But we have to pray. Pray alone. Pray together. Pray in public. We’ve got to pray.” “I agree,” he commented with a smile. Our world of people who want and understand what it means to be God-fearing must seek prayer in great numbers by sharing your prayer yourself. Try and pray with people in public and be not afraid of the affliction your heart or soul may fear. Make people imitate and see your love of loving Christ Jesus. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to always be imitators of Your Son’s Truth anywhere, anytime and anyplace with anyone Your Will directs us to. We pray LORD we learn from any affliction we receive in publically displaying our love of Your Truth. We pray for the Women’s Emmaus at St. Louis Church in Pinecrest, Florida. We pray for this children of the world. We pray for Prayer Points to establish God’s favor on people of faith. We pray for Your strength LORD. Teach us to follow Your Will. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; it may bear fruit in the future. If not you can cut it down. Luke 13:8c-9

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-22-2011

The concern of the flesh is hostility toward God; it does not submit to the Law of God, nor can it; and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:7-8

I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; it may bear fruit in the future. If not you can cut it down. Luke 13:8c-9

Romans 8:1-11, Psalm 24 & Luke 13:1-9

A mind controlled by the flesh has a soul controlled by the flesh and life’s purpose has a heart given to Satan. You cannot serve two Masters. Jesus made it very clear: “No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24 I think we’ve all known someone who has lived this hostility towards God. People like you and me. Not pleasing God all the time.

Our surrender complete comes from knowing how to channel His Truth into our very being relishing in a complete submission of His Spirit. The flesh becomes not ignored nor adored seeking only His Will in mind, mouth and motivation. Pleasing God is living His Will learning His Word, laboring in prayer and loving your proclamation to glorify Him voiding the flesh of greed and lust. Sharing Jesus and His Priceless Redemption. Amen!

We have to let go and allow God to use us in His Way for His Purpose actively cultivating the ground around you to become His Fruitful Servant of faith, charity and love. Take time to apply God’s Word as fertilizer to your faith giving way to deed in charity. Give your life a chance to live in forgiveness of lust and flesh. Be driven by giving God the first and last thing you do everyday. Live in a community of faithful friends in Christ and build up His Kingdom around your everyday accomplishments.

Proudly say, “This day is for You LORD.” People will see the strength of His love in your smile. Together we can all smile by living His Truth. Sometimes we do this by serving others on a Friday night instead of serving ourselves. We take time to listen to a prisoner getting ready to go home craving prayer from the outside. He is so hopeful he can live in society again by His Truth. Kairos has given him God’s resources of faith to overcome the desires of flesh. Please offer a prayer of hope for men and women like him to become and example of His Redemption. In His Name I pray. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we pray today to avoid flesh and please You. We pray by our love of Your Word we can share It with pride and cultivate our life for Your Glory. We pray for children of the world. We pray prayers of peace and healing for the prisoners of our Kairos Ministry. You know their needs LORD. We pray this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

Exhaust the soil no more he said

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our LORD. Therefore, I myself, with my mind, serve the Law of God but, with my flesh, the law of sin. Romans 7:25

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-21-2011

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our LORD. Therefore, I myself, with my mind, serve the Law of God but, with my flesh, the law of sin. Romans 7:25

Romans 7:18-25, Psalm 119 & Luke 12:54-59

We can only be saved by God’s only Son on a Cross not by any law established here on earth by mere mortal men. The law of sin can snuff out the goodness the Law of God entails by the selfish needs our brain may desire in the flesh. You must face this evil desire of lust by focusing on God’s Law in His Word through practice for your will may be too weak to go it alone. Allow your relationship in Jesus Christ to overcome these temptations and fulfill His Will in your life. Pick up your Bible and read His Word to practice what you preach so to speak allowing your mind to intentionally be lead by the Spirit of God in His Words of Truth.

There’s an emptiness inside our soul when we don’t maintain the Three P’s of living for God; Practice, Prayer and Proclamation. Oh, you might think you have it all together because you have a good job, bills are paid, wife and kids are great, house is nice and the boat in the yard, well it’s cool, right? Nevertheless, there’s an emptiness inside your heart/soul and life’s meaningless without practice, prayer and proclamation. You have to open His Word daily and listen to His Word in your heart. You have to pray over everything you do to find God’s Grace in your desires of living. You have to share God’s Good News in charity and in deed. It’s a matter of life or death. Live in Christ for life. Live in death with sin. Be alive and share your love of loving Christ Jesus. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to follow the Law You established in Your Word to live in faith, charity and love. We pray we always live for Your Son’s Truth. We pray for my good friend Tim and his spiritual needs in You Father. We pray for the children of the world. We pray for strength to guide our thoughts, actions and deeds to be for Your Glory LORD. We pray for Prayer Points to establish people’s desire to be thankful to You. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

What profit did you get then from the things of which you are now ashamed? Romans 6:19:21a

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-20-2011

What profit did you get then from the things of which you are now ashamed? Romans 6:19:21a

Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. Luke 12:51

Romans 6:19-23, Psalm 1 & Luke 12:49-53

Sometimes I wonder why the embarrassment of sin doesn’t weigh on our soul as much as it does after the fact of personal discovery of surrendering it all to Christ. I personally can look back and feel such shame when I begin to recount the step-by-step sinful life I lead of selfish acts of indulgence. While the memory will sadden me, I am now forever optimistic because of living a life of following His Word. My smile represents His Truth and I know in my heart He has forgiven me by my repentance and life I lead in faith, charity and love. There is something no one can take away from you when you give your all to His Truth; God’s Love.

Last night my wife and I watched a video about miracles and five testimonies of how each miracle impacted their lives. People of faith are drawn to miracles I believe to strengthen our joy of being a God-fearing people but I believe we all love a good witness because we want to be able to share the effect God can have on everyday ordinary people. Each described such a love of Christ that amazed my heart in the midst of such personal tragedy.

There was a story of how the parents of a 17-year-old girl who was killed in a car wreck prayed to God prayers of thanksgiving for giving them 17 years with their beautiful daughter once learning of her death. The girl had just written a paper in school the day before about her love of Christ and the peace she felt living His Truth in Word. Her death has impacted countless people worldwide after her story was translated into a dozen different languages. Ordinary people praying for miracles and seeing God using their story of miraculous healings to change lives and establish His Truth in their hearts. Every story recounted the power of prayer. The most powerful tool in the world; God’s Will from prayer.

Jesus speaks of division today in Luke and it’s the kind of division we must all be prepared to embrace when we give our lives over to His Truth. The joy we receive in His love will overcome any separation of family or friends. We must be steadfast in our commitment to God ‘s Truth in living His Word in everything we do always praying for the lost souls of the world. Your commitment will be rewarded with Eternal Life and your prayerful love of a family’s surrender to His Truth will guide you no matter how your love of loving Christ Jesus will separate you from people of blood relation or friends who make selfish life decisions. Pray for a miracle and live in a miraculous state of Truth. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to live in righteousness for Your Way is the only Way to heaven. We pray the division encountered by our love of loving Your Son will be overcome by our prayers of faith, charity and love. We pray for miracles to give people hope in Your Truth. We pray for the children of the world to find Your Word and live in peace. We pray for the Women’s Emmaus Team of St. Louis and the candidates who will see His Truth mold their lives this weekend. We pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Division of families may seem as tragic

Peace comes from knowing His love to lavish

Freed from sin, you have become slaves of righteousness. Romans 6:18

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-19-2011

Freed from sin, you have become slaves of righteousness. Romans 6:18

Romans 6:12-18, Psalm 124 & Luke 12:39-48

Paul wants humanity to know that while we were once all slaved to sin we have been released by Christ’s Grace and no longer are subject to the slavery sin places our mortal bodies under. We are free from self-indulgence and awaken in a new life of Christ by God’s Teachings. “Freed from sin, you have become slaves of righteousness.” Romans 6:18 Your love of loving Him can overcome all sin.

God is fully aware we are natural born sinners but He also knows if we fully immerse ourselves in His Teachings we become slaves of His Truth because our entire life becomes dedicated to listening, learning and living His Word. Are you a slave to sin or His Truth? Are you ready when God comes a calling in the middle of the night by your conduct in living His Will for your life?

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today we always live as slaves for Your Truth. May our lives be filled with righteousness for Your Glory. We pray for the children of the world. We pray for Prayer Points to Keep God in America. We pray this in Jesus Name. Amen.

The LORD will rescue me from every evil threat and will bring me safe to His Heavenly Kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen. 2 Timothy 4:18

2 Tm 4:10-18, Psalm 145 & Luke 10:1-9

You may become abandoned by your friends but God will always be by your side. He will defend you in every instance and give you strength of 10 men or give you wisdom to defend yourself in any situation. If only you will walk with the LORD in all things allowing His Word to mold your every step in life, God will never leave your side. Paul may have been abandoned by his friends or acquaintances, but the true Brothers in Christ stood by his side throughout his entire ordeal allowing his Divine Assistance at his first trial to have a successful ending of not only winning but allowed Paul to share the Gospel with those who needed it most.

Paul knew he must remain patient in the LORD having nerve, loyalty, and fortitude despite the defiance, enmity, apathy, and defection of many to whom the Truth had been preached. Jesus reminds the 72 He sent out, “I am sending you like lambs among wolves” where “the harvest is abundant but the laborers are few.” Many will see your love of loving Christ Jesus and scoff but just as many will embrace your love of His Truth and open their hearts to a life of His Gospel. Be steadfast and announce, “The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.” Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today You LORD will rescue us from every threat and bring us safely to Your Heavenly Kingdom. We pray for knowledge, charity and love to accomplish Your Will LORD in all things. We pray for Prayer Points and others in our Christian community to come together for the good of America. We pray for the children of the world. We pray for endurance LORD. We pray this in the Name of Your Son Christ Jesus. Amen.

Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God. Luke 12:21

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-17-2011

Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God. Luke 12:21

Romans 4:20-25 and Luke 12:13-21

The LORD our God reminds us that material possessions are not important to Him or His Kingdom but the relationship you have with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. By placing your trust and focus on bits and pieces of stuff you accumulate during life, you surround yourself with selfish acts of pride and impress no one but yourself.

I have learned to shop for less and give away more. Seek His Will and let go of the past. Praise Him in everything I do sharing the Gospel of Redemption. We all have a plan to fulfill for what matters to God the most. What is your plan? Is God the treasure you share?

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to store up treasures of faith, charity and love. We pray for strength to live life for Your Will LORD. We pray for wisdom and peace to understand our wants and needs for Your Kingdom. We pray for the children of the world. We pray this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

Calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father. 1 Thessalonians 1:3

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-16-2011

Calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.

1 Thessalonians 1:3

Isaiah 45:1, 4-6, Psalm 96, 1 Thessalonians 1:1-5 & Matthew 22:15-21

When you find you are living God’s purpose, your labor, endurance and love of hope in Jesus Christ is a part of everything you do. When you work, His Labor guides you. When you seek charity, His Endurance lifts your soul. When you feed the souls of humanity, His Love is your meal. God has a way of using you for His Glory in the least likely places but you must be ready by practice, prayer and proclamation to nourish all human beings you come in contact with. You may be at the park talking to a mother who’s overwhelmed by motherhood. A Light might come on when you meet someone new in your weekly hair salon (still the Beauty Shop to me where my mom comes home beautiful for as long as I can remember each week). Share His Truth in conversation- How God has affected people in you life. Like- “You know God sure has blessed me with (?).”

People will see Christ’s smile before you see the smile he has in store for you to pray with. May it’ll be a t-shirt that’ll strike up a Godly conversation. Just maybe, God’s divine plan for you will become your vocation and His Truth will be served by constant action in deed. I met just the person who fits that description. I noticed a t-shirt last night that promoted a tutoring location here in Miami. I asked about their work and ended up talking to a bystander who was shopping with her mom. I described her vocation in an email later as “such a position of importance actively using your vocation in an effort to participate in God’s Divine Plan for Humanity. I applaud you.” Her voice is a voice many in South Florida wake up to. Maybe on an early 6 AM ride to church to worship, you’ll hear Donna Jean of Life FM 90.9 praying and playing the music that saves souls daily. Let your labor, endurance and love too be His Vocation for you in loving your love of Christ Jesus. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today for endurance to finish the plans you have given each of us. We pray for the wisdom to actively labor for Your Truth. We pray Your love gives us Light for a Bright tomorrow. We pray for the Pastors, Christian Radio Hosts and lay people of the world are anointed with Your Endurance of Redemption. We pray the Children of God everywhere to live in your peace. We pray for our mothers, wives and daughters of the world. You are the beauty of God’s Creation. We pray for the attempt of Satan to disrupt our purpose of praying at the abortion mill is crushed by Your Divine Judgment. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

I know life can be tedious, ugly and mean

In his darkness you’ll now be his sinful evil being

I tell you, everyone who acknowledges Me before others the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God. Luke 12:8

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-15-2011

I tell you, everyone who acknowledges Me before others the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God. Luke 12:8

Romans 4:13, 16-18, Psalm 105 & Luke 12:8-12

The Word of God teaches us the Covenant established by God with Abraham will never be broken. We are all descendants of Abraham by faith not any prescribed law allowing you and me to inherit the world. Yes, the world. The world has been enveloped by God’s People to bring good to God’s Creation and allow humanity the joy of living amongst every living thing in every corner our planet covers.

Eventually we each have a choice to make to either serve God or deny Him. Embrace His Truth or shun His Kingdom. No law gives you the right- it’s your faith of acknowledgment. Jesus makes it very clear; “everyone who acknowledges Me before others” will have angels as friends. You hear the stories all the time of these angels saving lives or just ministering to the heart directing people with a message from God to “teach My children” orBehold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son.”

When you acknowledge Him, He acknowledges you with grace; not the plan just the action. It’s your faith in His Promise and His Son’s Truth that instills Christ-like action in every step you make. People say it’s impossible to acknowledge God in everything we do but I beg to differ. He is EVERYTHING we do. Your love of loving Him can be your life’s work in every occupation. Do you have any Angel friends? Acknowledge Him and they will minister to you too. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today we acknowledge you in every step we make in every corner in the world Your Will leads us. We pray You LORD lead us to the people we can share Your love with. We continue our prayers for the recovery of Jon Scharfenberger. As always LORD, we pray for the mothers who may see us praying for their child this morning at the abortion clinic and allow her baby to live because of our praying presence. I pray for my kid’s success and safety. We pray for the success of the Glory House of Miami Fundraiser today. We pray this in Your Son’s Precious Name, Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Holy Spirit’s Truth Shall Guide You This Day- Luke 12:8-12

Jesus eloquently advised

To acknowledge My  skies

His Kingship in any court

Universe of Creation to retort

The Son of Man will speak your name

To an angel maybe of fame

Michael the Archangel is seen to gain

Protection from Satan’s ball and chain

If you deny the LORD of Truth for all

His Son’s Kingship to judge your fall

No angel to announce your beck and call

Denied of Heaven’s gold streets to crawl

Words of hate will cause your demise

The Son of Man can cure your lies

Forgive your sin and set you free

The Holy Spirit for you and for me

When they bind you and take you before the court

Your defense will be guided by the Spirit His fort

No worries mate for the words you shall say

The Holy Spirit’s Truth shall guide you this day
