The hand of the Lord was with them and a great number who believed turned to the Lord

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-17-2011

The hand of the Lord was with them and a great number who believed turned to the Lord. Acts 11:21

My sheep hear My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them Eternal Life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of My hand. John 10:27-28

Acts 11:19-26, Psalm 87 & John 10:22-30

Sometimes we find it difficult to trust in the LORD with everything we do. I know many a people say, “How can God keep tabs on so many people? “ or “If God is real, why does He let bad things happen to good people?” Our God gives us so much yet allows us trials and tribulations to teach us true respect of His Word and His Strength.

The Apostles learn of the coming famine by a Prophet named Agabus and yet their response was one of trust by asking all people of God to prepare by helping one another and become one in faith, charity and love. God doesn’t allow bad things to happen to good people, He seeks our trust by forcing us to give Him all the Glory and delights when we surrender all to Him even more in times of famine or distress.

He is a God of learning and growth in Truth and we are taught by our good times and our tough times to give all the Glory to Him. As Jesus told His followers when they asked if He was the Messiah, “I told you and you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s Name testify to Me. But you do not believe, because you are not among My sheep.” John 10:25-26 You must learn that people and things will let you down but God will never let you down when you share you love of loving His Son Christ Jesus. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we continue our prayers for Augie Silva’s healing. We pray today for Jose’s son Nick that he will see your Truth as the answer to every need his mind, body and soul seek and that he will nourish all of these with Your Son’s guidance. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Jews began to ask
Are you the Holy One?
Belief is your difficult task

All My Works are of Him
Who sent Me to testify
His Truth I live by
His Name I Glorify

Still unbelief runs in your souls
My flock you are not
My sheep seek My voice
The follow instead of rot

Eternal Life is theirs
A belief you can know too
Seek not Satan’s havoc
If only you’d believe you knew

My sheep walk in fields of love
Souls imperishable to death
My Hand guides them safely
Their heads shall seek My rest

The greatest glory of all

The Spirit told me to accompany them without discriminating

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-16-2011

The Spirit told me to accompany them without discriminating. Acts 11:12a

I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear My voice, and there will be One Flock, One Shepherd.  John 10:16

Acts 11:1-18, Psalm 42 & John 10:11-18

The Jewish Christians felt it inappropriate for Peter to eat with the uncircumcised Gentiles but Peter explained he had a vision that coincided with the Gentiles of accepting the message of Salvation from Jesus Christ and they as well came to believe God’s desire was to have One Church through One Body in Christ Jesus. I think we are up against this today as they were then with so many different religions swirling around our God-given globe. But Christ reminds us to be steadfast in our love of His Truth and pray and instruct for those who lack a complete understanding.

As Christ expressed today in John 10: 17-18, “I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear My voice, and there will be One Flock, One Shepherd. This is why the Father loves Me, because I lay down M life in order to take it up again.” Jesus instructs us to help those who are not saved by His grace by our actions, our sharing knowledge and our love to know and experience the Redemption of the world.

Last Saturday, I took a very close Protestant friend to the abortion clinic to pray with our weekly Vigil Rosary Prayer Group. He had never prayed at an abortion clinic before not to mention he had never prayed the Rosary before either. He was a joy in presence being a tall man with a smile of God that can and has changed hearts to know Christ’s Salvation. I am reminded of him today as someone who truly seeks to share the LORD with anyone, anytime and anywhere by his actions of complete surrender to Christ’s Truth. He stood with us for awhile as we prayed the Rosary, but then he wondered across the street to stand near my wife who was holding a sign saying “Women do regret abortions” and he began conversing with the pro choice people sitting with their signs.

He is such a warrior in Christ who seeks to learn as well as share Christ’s Truth with people. As I walked over to him to encourage him to leave with me because it was time to go, he introduced me to the elderly lady holding the pro choice sign and I caught the last part of her statement which was, “if the Church would have alternatives for birth control there would be less abortions.” I shook my head as if to say, “what did you just say?” I applaud him for taking a step I have not yet taken and to simply learn what some of these people are thinking. He truly shares his love of loving Christ Jesus and I am proud to call him my Brother in Christ. God Bless you John!

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we continue our prayers today for Augie Silva’s healing and peace. We pray today LORD You will lead us to be undiscriminating when we seek to share Your Son’s Truth of Salvation. We ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.

If you are patient when you suffer for doing what is good, this is a grace before God

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-15-2011

For it is the Will of God that by doing good you may silence the ignorance of foolish people. 1 Peter 2:15

If you are patient when you suffer for doing what is good, this is a grace before God.  1 Peter 2:20b

A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.John 10:10

Acts 2:14a, 36-41, Psalm 23, 1 Peter 2:20b-25 & John 10:1-10

There comes a time in everyone’s life that we must declare ourselves to God and end the silence associated with the ignorance of avoiding God’s Truth and live to accomplish the Will of God in all things by doing what is right and avoiding things that are wrong. As most of you know, the Secular world chooses to live without God and therefore they are living scandalous lives by their behavior that constitutes just a small portion of the human race while the many have become silent too afraid for some reason to stand up and be recognized as Christians because many have believed they will be labeled as fanatics. While God tells us He provides us grace to be patient in what we suffer for doing what is good, He also calls to action to live the Gospel and share His Truth with the world. “Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:13

Can there really be a future without God? Why have Christians become silent in our approach to live the Will of God? Did not Jesus say to the Disciples before He Ascended to Heaven in Mark 16:15, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.” Jesus didn’t say sit around and wait for my Second Coming. He said “proclaim the Gospel (TRUTH) to every creature.”  We the Gospel Army must pick up our weapon of choice (His Word) and make disciples of every person throughout the world just as Jesus proclaimed in Matthew 28:18-20, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”

Jesus explains today in John 10 that while the Pharisees did not recognize the voice of God in Jesus, the Children of God will just as the blind man did when he listened and believed and was healed seeing Jesus as the Son of Man. If we are to live as Children of God and share the Love of God Worldwide, we must be willing to be proactive in our approach and overcome the secular needs of the few and boldly proclaim the Gospel by the many and revise our world as a thankful race to God Almighty. When we love our love of Christ, we will share the Truth of Action living the Gospel in faith, charity and love to Glorify the LORD in all things becoming true Children of God. Climb over the top and act as a thief

Labeled as a robber who is ugly and weak

If you listen intently you can hear His voice

He calls in the night and provides you a choice

Follow Him as the sheep in a herd

Never living life in a silent absurd

He is the True Gatekeeper of Life

Before Him were thieves of the night

They steal and kill securing their plight

Hell is their door closed in their sight

My Soul is here for all to see

Even the blind can witness internally

The shine of Love I have for Life

A true humanitarian guided by God’s Light

As the Father loves Me, so I also love you. Remain in My love.

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-14-2011

Then they prayed, You, Lord, Who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two You have chosen. Acts 1:24

As the Father loves Me, so I also love you. Remain in My love. John 15:9

Acts 1:15-17, 20-26, Psalm 113 & John 15:9-17

The Acts of the Apostles is Luke’s second volume of Biblical history he wrote to establish a timeline of Christ’s foretold life, death and resurrection in the Old Testament. Today we learn of the choosing of a replacement Apostle to replace Judas who Luke described as being killed in a fall on the property he supposedly purchased with the money from handing of Jesus over to the Jews instead of the hanging as described in Matthew 27:5. The replacement Apostle chosen was Matthias and Luke’s description of the necessity of this replacement Apostle represented the Twelve Tribes of Israel as symbolic number to complete and continue the mission of Christ’s message of love.

Jesus describes the love He has given is also the love His Father has given Him to accomplish the Redemption of Souls for all mankind by His life, death and resurrection. Jesus reminds them He will always be with them just as the Father was always with Him as He lived and preached the Truth of Salvation telling them to remain in Him as He is in the Father and to keep the commandments. “By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become My disciples. As the Father loves Me, so I also love you. Remain in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.” John 15:8-10

As I continue to understand the Mission For the Love of God Worldwide, I as all of us must first understand our Father’s love before we can understand anything about loving ourselves so we may value this gift of love and life from the Father. This is absolutely the greatest gift the Father has given mankind that we are Children of God twenty-four hours a day seven days a week and we must act as children who are seeking to understand the meaning of life through our experiences of Free Will to grasp in our hearts by the end of our lives to love our God completely. Only then will we understand the citizenship of eternity to love one another as He has loved us. Regain the identity as Children of God and stop selling your soul for the things of this world to share your love of loving Christ Jesus. Learn more about the “Mission for the Love of God Worldwide” at www.fortheloveofgodworldwide.org.

So we ask in prayer: My LORD and My God, we continue our steadfast prayers for Augie Silva. We believe LORD You have a plan for Him to complete and we ask You to lay Your healing hands upon His body and feed Him Your healing grace. Keep us courageous afraid of nothing to accomplish Your Will as we pray to share the love of You anyplace, anywhere and anytime as the Mission For the Love of God Worldwide continues to wake up humanity and be silent no more. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

He began at once to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-13-2011

He stayed some days with the Disciples in Damascus, and he began at once to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God. Acts 9:19b-20

Whoever eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood remains in Me and I in him. John 6:56

Acts 9:1-20, Psalm 117 & John 6:52-59

One day you’ll be walking along and suddenly a Light from above blinds you and the voice of God rings aloud, “My child, why are you forsaking My Name for pleasures of self and persecuting My Children?” You fall to the ground unable to see and your mind races. God has pierced your soul and your entire life flashes before your eyes. You feel your entire life was wasted on selfish acts of lust, greed and sin and your Maker has taken your sight as His just punishment. He offers you a deal: become a Child of God and surrender your life to His Son’s Truth to practice, pray and proclaim to everyone you meet the Redemption God brought to the earth until your last dying breath.

We are living in times that are uncertain filled with fear our ability to love our Father will be taken away from us reminds me of when God struck down the lead oppressor of Christ’s movement and filled his heart with His Truth to revert his soul for His Purpose. When Saul was persecuting the Church and those who believe Jesus is the Son of God, he was a child of the world and didn’t understand the Truth of God’s Will for his life or humanity. All of this changed on the road to Damascus and Saul became Paul proclaiming Jesus is the Son of God. He gained a tongue filled with the Holy Spirit and his silent hateful heart became Christ-filled to accomplish the Will of God dedicating himself to the love and protection of God the Father of all mankind becoming a Child of God.

Today, too many of us Christians have become silent in our approach to an ever changing Secular world. We must unite to proclaim the Love of God Worldwide and band our strengths in numbers to overcome the oppression of people trying to remove God from our daily life, our families and our history the entire world is feeling today. By our silence we have allowed the views of the few to shadow the Truth of God and we must seek to pull ourselves together to prove the views of the majority are the rightful desires of mankind to be thankful for God’s love of all humanity. We must approach this mission with an everlasting determination and share God’s love by the Truth His Son brought to the world giving us life Eternal.

Just as the living Father sent Me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on Me will have life because of Me.” John 6:57 Our mission is to share this amazing Truth God brought to the world which gives us life Eternal. We must stop offending God by our silence and stop evil from spreading. We must awake each day and pursue God in all things bringing together people to practice our faith by studying Scripture, praying unceasingly over everything we do and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ with an abundant zealous commitment of honoring God in all things. Our world is in need of the “Mission for the Love of God Worldwide” to stop the silence and dedicate our lives to keeping God in our world. Please share your love of loving Christ by joining their movement at www.fortheloveofgodworldwide.org . Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray for the healing of Augie Silva. Please heal his body to keep him working for You. We pray today for the Mission of “For the Love of God Worldwide” to stop our silence as your faithful ones and change our lukewarm attitude into an attitude of honoring You LORD in all things. Bring us together God to live in Truth for Your Glory. Amen.

Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has Eternal Life. I am the Bread of Life

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-12-2011

Then Philip opened his mouth and, beginning with this Scripture passage, he proclaimed Jesus to him. Acts 8:35

Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has Eternal Life. I am the Bread of Life. John 6:47-48

Acts 8:26-40, Psalm 66 & John 6:44-51

In Acts today, we find Philip being instructed by an Angel to approach an Ethiopian eunuch who was returning to his homeland after a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. He is said to be “a court official of the Candace, that is, the queen of the Ethiopians, in charge of her entire treasury.” Before we learn of Philip’s Holy Spirit filled instruction, I would like to explain what a “eunuch” is and how they were considered necessary to accomplish acts of service for various people of authority. A eunuch was a man who was castrated usually at an early age to keep them from having urges to complete a bloodline of their own and therefore was considered very trusting when it came to keeping the women of the rulers happy. They had no family ties and therefore were considered more trusting. Many cultures used this type of process as a way of punishment to turn their subjects into loyal servants. The Ethiopian eunuch Philip approached was reading Isaiah 53:7-8 and asked Philip what this passage meant. After explaining that it was Jesus the Prophet Isaiah was foretelling, the Ethiopian eunuch asked to be baptized by Philip when they came across some water on their travel and disappeared after accomplishing his task of sharing the Christ’s Truth.

The Jews were trying to figure out what Jesus meant by saying “for the Bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives Life to the world” and the Jews related to this as Him saying “I am the Bread that came down from heaven.” Obviously, many people today have just as much trouble relating this to their belief in Jesus because it is hard for anyone to understand how one’s own flesh and blood can be consumed let alone be given by a man who was still in their midst. Many a disciple left Christ’s side that day and note He did call anyone back by saying “oh, I just meant that figuratively.” The teaching of Jesus is very clear: “Amen, amen I say to you, unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink His Blood you do not have Life within you. Whoever eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood has Eternal Life and I will raise him up on the last day. For My Flesh is True Food and My Blood is True Drink. Whoever eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood remains in Me and I in him” (John 6:53-56).

Paul in 1 Corinthians states, “For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night He was handed over, took bread, and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, “This is My Body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the New Covenant in My Blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until He comes. Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the Body and Blood of the Lord. A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself.” 1 Corinthians 11:23-29 It is not our place as followers of His Truth to question His Commands in consuming His Body and Blood. It our duty to share His Truth with the world to live in communion with Him in all things just as the “Mission for the Love of God Worldwide” is shared by over 1.5 million people worldwide to consecrate everything, our lives, our families, our towns and cities and our world on the hands of God asking Him for His love and protection. You can learn more about their mission at www.fortheloveofgodworldwide.org .

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we keep a vigilant prayer for Augie Silva. Please heal him and bring peace to his family and friends. We pray today to always seek to live Your Son’s Gospel in every aspect of our lives and consume His Body and Blood worthily LORD. We pray we will consecrate every moment of our lives to live in Your Glory. We ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.

I told you that although you have seen (Me), you do not believe

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-11-2011

Now those who had been scattered went about preaching the Word. Acts 8:4

I told you that although you have seen (Me), you do not believe. John 6:36

 Acts 8:1b-8, Psalm 66 & John 6:35-40

The future saint of the church begins his persecution of the people who truly believe Christ’s message of faith, charity and love. This is something we should really pay attention to because Saul before he was Paul was a devout Jew who was totally dedicated to the law as the way of salvation and his faith led him to crush the Christian movement as many a Secular believer is doing in these times we live today. As Children of God, we are seeing the Covenant brought to Humanity by God Himself destroyed by people who as a man last night I went to see described as children of the world. The title of the talk my wife and I attended last night was called “Mission for the Love of God Worldwide” by Rick John Miller.

As he explained last night and I totally agree with, mankind no longer sees ourselves as Children of God because we are seeing ourselves as children of the world. He reminds us that God has written in Revelation that those who do not believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be spit from the mouth of God and forgotten while the faithful will live Eternally in heaven. “‘The Amen, the faithful and true witness, the source of God’s creation, says this: “I know your works; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:14-16

Mr. Miller further explained, “We must learn to love God first before we can truly love others.” As Children of God, we have been given the power and authority to believe who you are by the gift the Father gave us to overcome the Secular movement of evil greed, immorality and selfish acts of disrespect towards our LORD and Savior Christ Jesus.

As Jesus so explained today in reading Luke 6: 36-39, “I am the Bread of Life; whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst. But I told you that although you have seen (Me), you do not believe. Everything that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to Me, because I came down from heaven not to do My own Will but the Will of the One Who sent Me. And this is the Will of the One Who sent Me, that I should not lose anything of what He gave Me, but that I should raise it (on) the last day.”

This Secular movement is destroying our youth, our families and our world by the loss of modesty and morality because we as Christians have become silent in our approach because we think God is going to come down and fix everything. Because we don’t understand the Gospel we don’t value the Gospel and life as we know it will be destroyed if we don’t speak up and become involved in every aspect of Humanity by the Power of God Almighty in living the Gospel. We must stop the silence and read our Bibles, pray unceasingly and proclaim the Truth to live as Children of God loving our love of Christ Jesus. Gather your friends and neighbors and pray with them weekly and be steadfast in your approach to love God’s Children and move the minority of Secularist over by the love of Christians everywhere. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Heavenly Father, today I pray I am silent no more and I become the person You want me to be to share the love of You worldwide. I pray my voice is Yours, my actions are Yours and my life is Yours always to share Your Son’s Truth with all Humanity. Please LORD, give me the strength, the courage and the wisdom to work only for Your Glory as I Consecrate everything about me to Your Way of living. I pray for John Rick Miller and his Mission “For the Love of God Worldwide.” We pray all of this in the Name above every Name Christ Jesus. Amen.

For the Bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives Life to the world

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-10-2011

Behold, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God. Acts 7:56

For the Bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives Life to the world. John 6:33

Acts 7:51—8:1a, Psalm 31 & John 6:30-35

Sitting above me on the shelf of my desk is a small plaque that says; “We know that all things work together for good to them that love God… to them who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 I am reminded of Stephen when I read this daily because of his courage to love God even though he knew people didn’t understand his love for God or his love for His Son Christ Jesus. He boldly proclaimed this love without hesitation and accepted his destiny with courage, passion and forgiveness. He forgave his killers as they were stoning him to death for he knew he would pass into the hands of Christ to live Eternally in Heaven. I have to agree that forgiveness is the most compelling feeling of release and jubilation a person can accept to live in peace and harmony with God. Without forgiveness, we will end up despising life living in a world of spite, jealously and hate. Take the time today to forgive someone in your past as Stephen forgave his killers at his death and live in liberation from detestation.

It was just as hard then as it is now for people to understand what Christ meant when He said, “For the Bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives Life to the world.” John 6:33 It seems so hard but yet it is so easy to accept His Words as Truth to accomplish living in faith, charity and love. His life, crucifixion and death brought about absolute Redemption of sins for the world becoming the Bread of Life for humanity to reach Eternal happiness here on earth and in heaven. It’s how we share His Truth which gives us continued faith to accomplish Good Works of charity each and every day. People will sometimes ask me: “How can you talk to complete strangers about Jesus?” I talk to people as friends and not strangers to share with them Christ’s Truth of Redemption by the Power of the Holy Spirit moving me with the correct posture, with the correct words and the correct actions of His Truth to bring more souls to know His love. I like to think that people are drawn to me because I wear His Truth in my smile, in my walk and in my actions becasue He is EVERYTHING to me. Is Jesus everything to you?

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we continue our prayers of healing for Augie Silva. We pray today people will always see Your Son in our thoughts, our words and our actions. May we live to share His Truth with anyone, anytime and anywhere. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

You threw him out of the city

Stoning him along the way

He accepted death with humility

Forgiving his killers Christ’s Way

Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a Light for my path

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-9-2011

Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a Light for my path. I make a solemn vow to keep Your just edicts.  Psalm 119: 105-106

Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for Eternal Life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him the Father, God, has set His Seal. John 6:27

Acts 6:8-15, Psalm 119 & John 6:22-29

If you have a chance today, open your Bible and read Psalm 119 from start to finish. Be prepared to spend a little time reading each line and really soak in the Word of God and begin to scratch out a note or two. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you as you read the longest of all the Psalms by starting with a prayer; “Heavenly Father, I pray You open my soul to Your Word and enlighten my mind, my thoughts in speech and my heart to accomplish Your Will. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.” You’ll discover 176 lines of God’s amazing instructions and He’ll bring about in your heart a need to write one or two of them down. For me it is verse 105 and 106 which has become a vow I keep each and every day. I awake each morning with His Word on my mind and His Light to guide me each step of the Way. His Way!

Let’s step back into time and follow a young man as he is fed by Christ amongst 5000 people with just 5 loaves of bread and two fish. He awakes the next day in search of Jesus because he can’t stop wanting to hear this Man speak about life and the love of God. Upon finding Him, he and others ask Jesus a question; “What can we do to accomplish the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in the One He sent.” John 6:28-29 Jesus reminds everyone that by your belief in Him you are offered Eternal Life in Heaven by His Gospel of Truth and you will never hunger or thirst. You will begin to live a complete satisfaction by your devotion to His Teachings and you will seek to share your love of loving Him by your faith, charity and your love of Christ Jesus. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, today we continue our prayers of healing and peace for Augie Silva. We pray today we will always use Your Word as as Light for our paths in life and to always keep Your just edicts. We pray today for my long-time friend Kelly Layfield, his wife and his kids. We pray my words of brevity always guide people to Your Glory to accomplish Your Will in their lives. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

My Father’s Seal is Upon Me

Many people ate
The Word was their fill
In search of more to gather
They found Him on a hill

He was praying there for comfort
His Father was His joy
Not wondering in flesh and ugliness
Providing hope where love is void

Your food will perish from sinfulness
My Food provides Eternal Life
My Father’s Seal is upon Me
On the One He sent your Light

Seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-8-2011

Exalted at the Right Hand of God, He received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father and poured it forth, as you (both) see and hear. Acts 2:33

Who through him believe in God who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 1 Peter 1:21

Seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus. Luke 24:13

Acts 2:14, 22-33, Psalm 16, 1 Peter 1:17-21 & Luke 24:13-35

In Acts 2 we are receiving reassurance the Holy Spirit will be given to us by our repentance, living example and baptism clearing the way to establish a daily routine to live in a personal relationship with Christ Jesus. What Peter stood and announced is what was the first of six discourses in Acts proclaiming the life, crucifixion and death of Jesus was foretold by David and gave us a life to believe in faith, charity and love. I have heard people say they their relationships young and old were lost because they didn’t have God as the center of their lives. You can’t experience this amazing life in Christ without having faith to guide you, charity to lift up a soul for His Glory and love of God to live in peace and Truth. A relationship won’t stand on lies but only on Truth of living the Word of God.

Seek His Word and people who surround their lives with His presence and you’ll find a person filled with the Spirit to become one with your soul in Christ Jesus. Amen! My daily decision of surrender to His Truth is a walk I accomplished for His Glory and His grace lead me to my Soul-Mate in Christ, Toni. Her devout and moving way of embracing the Spirit of Christ every day strengthens my faith and hope in God to want to live in absolute dedication to the LORD of LORD’s and the King of Kings. There is excitement in living a life of Christ while a backslider lives a life of self focused on renouncing God as their sole guidance to eternal hope and glory. Live your life in the nourishment of doing the Will of God in all things and Jesus will appear to you as He appeared to the Disciples on the “Road to Emmaus.”

The Holy Spirit moved me this morning to write in brevity about the “Seven Miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus” in Luke Chapter 24. I’ve written before that I’ve taken this walk to a now unknown/disputed location of a little town called Emmaus countless times in the past 5 years since attending my first Emmaus here in South Florida at St. Louis Catholic Church. The walk with two disciples and the vision I had has been very clear of who the second disciple was. This person was mentioned in John 19:25 and I believe the person’s name was left out because it was the wife of Cleopas. While my vision sees a woman with Cleopas on the Road to Emmaus talking to Jesus, I’m sure countless people will believe otherwise. Whether it was the wife of Cleopas or a man, the two witnessed the Resurrection in a very special way with Christ Himself that lit a fire in their hearts and became a true testimony of their love of loving Christ Jesus. Jesus will appear to you just as He did to the Disciples that day by living a life of practice (read your Bible daily), nonstop prayer and Spirit-led proclamation. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, I pray today for Augie Silva’s healing and peace. I pray for today for my daughter, Alexandra, who became engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Mark. I pray for her mother Maria and our son Allen’s protection. I pray for all mothers today especially my mother Betty LORD as we celebrate the moms of the world. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God Bless,

Humanity’s Sin He Would Gain

David’s account was moving

His love of God foretold

He lived a life of surrender

His Truth he spoke so bold

At His Right hand He will sit

Protected and Grace filled too

A hand of victory guided

The Foundation of Truth for you

His soul survived the Nether World

He boldly wrote to ordain

The Son of God would die and rise

Humanity’s sin He would gain
