Wig’s Word of God Today 6-19-2011
Pardon our wickedness and sins, and receive us as Your own. Exodus 34:9f
Blessed are you, O Lord, the God of our fathers, praiseworthy and exalted above all forever. Daniel 3:52
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you. 2 Corinthians 13:13
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have Eternal Life. John 3:16
Exodus 34:4b-6, 8-9, Daniel 3, 2 Corinthians 13:11-13 & John 3:16-18
There will be many a father today who will be forgotten by their children because of one reason or another of not forgiving his past behaviors or indulgements in a secular world of Satan’s demise. I for one know the Truth in my heart of His Love is more important than any other “Atta boy or nice job dad” but I do dream of a day where I will be forgiven completely of my past life led in sin. My joy resides in His Word of accomplished living in Truth which for years I shunned because of the flash and flair of Satan’s trickery of selfishness. While I may never get to go back to the days of my children’s youth, I embrace forgiveness afforded to me by the death of The Father’s Son Who grants me Eternal Life to share with many a child, family and stranger alike.
I pray for all fathers today but I pray especially for the One Who I turn to each and every moment of every day to live in His guidance and Truth to accomplish His Will forever more. I walk in His Light guided by His Spirit to live as a Child of God hoping to share His love with all Humanity. His forgiveness is real children. By His Blood we are washed clean of a life we did not intentionally lead to hurt any of you. Please forgive them as they are forgiven by Your Heavenly Father to live in harmony for a better world.
I for one was raised by a dad who succumbed to this life of sin where he would come home a many a night intoxicated yielding a drunken hand against my mother, my brother, my sister and me. The smell of alcohol still lives fresh in my mind today and his harshness ached my heart and soul for the longest time long after I was a father myself. I can still remember the sting of a belt or the sting of an insult by a drunk who knew not what he was doing. There would be times he wouldn’t even remember what he did to us the next day but not me, the memories rode in me like a burning fire raging to consume my soul to retreat into a life of selfish acts of sin.
Nothing I could do would take away his ugliness until the day I truly surrendered my life to living for Christ’s love through God’s Word. I gave in to the Father of all because I began to understand what His Sacrifice meant to my life and the lives of all mankind. He sacrificed His Only Son. None of the hurt I received from my own father would ever match what He endured for all Humanity. Today is a day to recognize the Father of all as you should each day of our lives.
So we ask in prayer: Dear Father God, we pray today for all fathers’ especially You LORD Who is Father of all. We pray for forgiveness and we thank You LORD for giving us Your Only Son to die for us and relieve our sins for all Eternity. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

The Father’s Son Who Sealed Our Fate
My God why do we seek You?
Your love and comfort to feel
Is it our desire to live in Truth?
As we seek the needs so real
The needs of life’s precious grin
A newborn baby not knowing sin
Their silent laugh we see in this smile
A day for joy we toss away in denial
A day for every father to embrace
A reminder of Whose love to relate
Forgiveness is needed by all who hate
The Father’s Son Who sealed our fate
