Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry. Because of these the wrath of God is coming [upon the disobedient]. Colossians 3:5-6

Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry. Because of these the wrath of God is coming [upon the disobedient]. Colossians 3:5-6

Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude and insult you. Luke 6:22a

Colossians 3:1-11, Psalm 145 & Luke 6:20-26

Paul explains to us today to stop our vices allowing the life of Christ to become completely alive in you centering your life around His Word to live in your resurrected life for the Glory of God. He warns us if you are disobedient in your behavior you surely will experience the wrath of God somewhere in your life because of your evil desires of greed and self. Once you find God’s Spirit dwelling in you each moment of every day you will find the mundane tasks for God will seem so joyous. You will seek this joy of His love constantly putting to death what once was a selfish passion of lust, greed and self.

Many times in your life of living for God, you will find people will try excluding you from certain events or conversation by the Grace of God working in you. People who are fearful of God’s Truth are fearful of you entering upon their landscape in more ways than you can imagine. You are a threat to their selfish ways of life and they will do whatever it takes to exclude you and your righteousness. Once you become righteous in the LORD, you take on a different persona that selfish people will fear but it is our duty as Disciples in Christ to share His Truth without hesitation. One or two at a time can we make a difference until many come to know the passion you feel for Christ’s Salvation and His Everlasting Promise.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today for all vices in our life to disappear and for us to become completely in communion with Your Truth. We pray for those who exclude us, even those in our ministries who seek preference over Purpose in choosing their likes and dislikes of life’s leaderships. We pray for my daughter Alexandra’s peace and healing. We pray for my cousins in Georgia having a serious surgery today and a stress test later this week. We pray for my Prison Ministry Team of Kairos as we prepare to minister to the imprisoned next weekend. We pray this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
