Wig’s Word of God Today 5-8-2011
Exalted at the Right Hand of God, He received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father and poured it forth, as you (both) see and hear. Acts 2:33
Who through him believe in God who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 1 Peter 1:21
Seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus. Luke 24:13
Acts 2:14, 22-33, Psalm 16, 1 Peter 1:17-21 & Luke 24:13-35
In Acts 2 we are receiving reassurance the Holy Spirit will be given to us by our repentance, living example and baptism clearing the way to establish a daily routine to live in a personal relationship with Christ Jesus. What Peter stood and announced is what was the first of six discourses in Acts proclaiming the life, crucifixion and death of Jesus was foretold by David and gave us a life to believe in faith, charity and love. I have heard people say they their relationships young and old were lost because they didn’t have God as the center of their lives. You can’t experience this amazing life in Christ without having faith to guide you, charity to lift up a soul for His Glory and love of God to live in peace and Truth. A relationship won’t stand on lies but only on Truth of living the Word of God.
Seek His Word and people who surround their lives with His presence and you’ll find a person filled with the Spirit to become one with your soul in Christ Jesus. Amen! My daily decision of surrender to His Truth is a walk I accomplished for His Glory and His grace lead me to my Soul-Mate in Christ, Toni. Her devout and moving way of embracing the Spirit of Christ every day strengthens my faith and hope in God to want to live in absolute dedication to the LORD of LORD’s and the King of Kings. There is excitement in living a life of Christ while a backslider lives a life of self focused on renouncing God as their sole guidance to eternal hope and glory. Live your life in the nourishment of doing the Will of God in all things and Jesus will appear to you as He appeared to the Disciples on the “Road to Emmaus.”
The Holy Spirit moved me this morning to write in brevity about the “Seven Miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus” in Luke Chapter 24. I’ve written before that I’ve taken this walk to a now unknown/disputed location of a little town called Emmaus countless times in the past 5 years since attending my first Emmaus here in South Florida at St. Louis Catholic Church. The walk with two disciples and the vision I had has been very clear of who the second disciple was. This person was mentioned in John 19:25 and I believe the person’s name was left out because it was the wife of Cleopas. While my vision sees a woman with Cleopas on the Road to Emmaus talking to Jesus, I’m sure countless people will believe otherwise. Whether it was the wife of Cleopas or a man, the two witnessed the Resurrection in a very special way with Christ Himself that lit a fire in their hearts and became a true testimony of their love of loving Christ Jesus. Jesus will appear to you just as He did to the Disciples that day by living a life of practice (read your Bible daily), nonstop prayer and Spirit-led proclamation. Amen.
So we ask in prayer: Dear God, I pray today for Augie Silva’s healing and peace. I pray for today for my daughter, Alexandra, who became engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Mark. I pray for her mother Maria and our son Allen’s protection. I pray for all mothers today especially my mother Betty LORD as we celebrate the moms of the world. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
God Bless,

Romans 8:28
“Spirit led God inspired Christ fed”
Humanity’s Sin He Would Gain
David’s account was moving
His love of God foretold
He lived a life of surrender
His Truth he spoke so bold
At His Right hand He will sit
Protected and Grace filled too
A hand of victory guided
The Foundation of Truth for you
His soul survived the Nether World
He boldly wrote to ordain
The Son of God would die and rise
Humanity’s sin He would gain
