Spirit oracular telling fortunes
As we were going to the place of prayer, we met a slave girl with an oracular spirit, who used to bring a large profit to her owners through her fortune-telling. She began to follow Paul and us, shouting, “These people are slaves of the Most High God, who proclaim to you a way of Salvation.” Acts 16:16-17

At that time some Pharisees came to (Jesus) and said, “Go away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you.” He replied, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose.” Luke 13:31-32

Salvation Way proclaimed by a spirit-oracular many thought were signs of the guarder of the oracle Delphic literally meaning “with a Python spirit.” Many thought the spirit rested in the belly making some think a ventriloquist spoke from this very spirit from their stomach sensationalizing the story of fables Greek passing down the stories of living a life of mythology. What may have seem like a person crazy shouting constantly obtrusive was actually the Will of God that gave Paul Jesus as a Way of quieting and even healing the heart chained to folklores by people wanting to subdue human free will.
Paul was in a teaching moment no matter the time or locale he may have encountered the girl who worked the crowds as a teller of fortunes making profits large for the owners who wanted excess over freedom. Salvation was proclaimed learning peace can overcome the saga of fairytales many create to find living without Truth somehow stable in the midst of world beckoning you to create illusions over ideals incredible for they think Salvation doesn’t equal Life Eternal, No! They think Salvation means life is dead without lies to accomplish a world’s intent over a Christ proclamation of love. Amen.
