The Spirit told me to accompany them without discriminating

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-16-2011

The Spirit told me to accompany them without discriminating. Acts 11:12a

I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear My voice, and there will be One Flock, One Shepherd.  John 10:16

Acts 11:1-18, Psalm 42 & John 10:11-18

The Jewish Christians felt it inappropriate for Peter to eat with the uncircumcised Gentiles but Peter explained he had a vision that coincided with the Gentiles of accepting the message of Salvation from Jesus Christ and they as well came to believe God’s desire was to have One Church through One Body in Christ Jesus. I think we are up against this today as they were then with so many different religions swirling around our God-given globe. But Christ reminds us to be steadfast in our love of His Truth and pray and instruct for those who lack a complete understanding.

As Christ expressed today in John 10: 17-18, “I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear My voice, and there will be One Flock, One Shepherd. This is why the Father loves Me, because I lay down M life in order to take it up again.” Jesus instructs us to help those who are not saved by His grace by our actions, our sharing knowledge and our love to know and experience the Redemption of the world.

Last Saturday, I took a very close Protestant friend to the abortion clinic to pray with our weekly Vigil Rosary Prayer Group. He had never prayed at an abortion clinic before not to mention he had never prayed the Rosary before either. He was a joy in presence being a tall man with a smile of God that can and has changed hearts to know Christ’s Salvation. I am reminded of him today as someone who truly seeks to share the LORD with anyone, anytime and anywhere by his actions of complete surrender to Christ’s Truth. He stood with us for awhile as we prayed the Rosary, but then he wondered across the street to stand near my wife who was holding a sign saying “Women do regret abortions” and he began conversing with the pro choice people sitting with their signs.

He is such a warrior in Christ who seeks to learn as well as share Christ’s Truth with people. As I walked over to him to encourage him to leave with me because it was time to go, he introduced me to the elderly lady holding the pro choice sign and I caught the last part of her statement which was, “if the Church would have alternatives for birth control there would be less abortions.” I shook my head as if to say, “what did you just say?” I applaud him for taking a step I have not yet taken and to simply learn what some of these people are thinking. He truly shares his love of loving Christ Jesus and I am proud to call him my Brother in Christ. God Bless you John!

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we continue our prayers today for Augie Silva’s healing and peace. We pray today LORD You will lead us to be undiscriminating when we seek to share Your Son’s Truth of Salvation. We ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.

God Bless,

One Flock One Shepherd Always Near

The Good Shepherd I AM

My life is for all

Not hired help

Savior standing tall

A hired help will run

When a wolf comes to eat

My strength will shield

Evil ugliness with sharp teeth

His work for pay

Has severe need to seek

The Good Shepherd of love

Who protects the meek

All who want Eternal Life

Know Me and I know them

As the Father’s love is in Me

I will lay down My life to win

The lost sheep of every nation

My voice they will hear

Gathered in to accomplish

One Flock One Shepherd always near

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
