Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last. Matthew 20:16

Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last. Matthew 20:16

Judges 9:6-15, Psalm 21 & Matthew 20:1-16

We study the Parable of the Vineyard Workers today and begin to understand that Jesus was comparing the workers to His Disciples who surrender at different times in their lives to a life of following Christ’s Truth still receive the reward as all the others for God does not discriminate based on the amount of time you begin to follow Him. The payment of Eternal Life in Heaven with the Father and the Son is given to even the dying sinners on a death bed of disgust where the arms of Christ will soothe them and welcome them.

I know, it seems unfair to think that one could live a complete life of sin and yet still receive the reward promised by Christ but it is not out place to judge the wicked but to continually try and lift them up in prayer and compassion. I welcome the life I live as a life of a saint encouraged by God and Christ to live for the Trinity. Yes, God wants us to live saintly lives not lives filled with pride of self where we make “us” the item of our “God.” No, when you become a Disciple of Christ Jesus your pride, self interest and self-sufficiency has been completely erased allowing you to allow God to grant you graces fit for a saint.

This new name you are given erases the old names you lived with for so long becoming a new Child of God filled with faith, charity and love. I don’t know about you but I embrace the Name of God written on the imprints I make in the sand, along the paths of life and across my forehead to help bring anyone at anytime and anywhere to know Christ’s Freedom from sin. I felt it last Sunday when I was leaving my church and a man in 80’s possibly even his 90’s came walking up to me with his wife. I don’t know their names (yet) but she shook my hand as I said “God Bless You” and her husband standing next to me said, “I want a hug.” Reaching out his arms I held him a true hug of Christ’s love as he whispers in my ear, “St Paul says we should greet one another with a saintly hug.” I replied as held him a true “un abrazo,” I will expect this every week from now on.”  This I would describe as loving your love of Christ. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to never worry about where we are in any line of life because we are always first in Your eyes forgiven by the Blood of Your Son on a Cross. We pray for peace and healing of Alexandra, Kelly (thanks Brother), Alysse (surgery today) and everyone we pray for each and every day. Give us Your grace to live strong in You LORD. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

By Your Surrender to His Saintly Worth

The Kingdom of Heaven is open

For anyone who acts in respect

Repenting from a life of self

Bringing your soul into check

Lives lead in His Name

Brings about joy to sustain

A soul of love to see

Where birds of love agree

Agree with the Vineyard’s Keep

He allows your soul to reap

Pleasures of heaven on earth

By your surrender to His Saintly Worth

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
