Whoever does not take up his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. Matthew 10:39

Whoever does not take up his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. Matthew 10:39

Exodus 1:8-14, 22, Psalm 124, & Matthew 10:34-11:1

The Cross of Salvation is not an easy One to carry denying you pleasures or at least you think it denies you of some of life’s indulging pleasures but truly we find ourselves in temptation all the time. Pleasures of self run on silk highways lined with hooks of health destroying sin where the gold-laden highways of heaven are lined with the open arms of the Trinity each affording you Eternal Salvation and rest for accepting the Cross and all of its pleasures and pains.

Jesus tells us today in Matthew 10: 34-40 something we all need to study and try to understand. His Cross is heavy because we can make it heavy. His Cross is as heavy as your Bible lifted high above your head. His Cross is only heavy when we deny ourselves the ability to share His Truth of living. When parents deny this right as a child grows, then the child will experience God from someone else on their own. When you live in God for you and your child, your communion with Him affords you the ability to overcome them being taught by someone else even if your selfishness steals away your earlier life, God wants you to know your love of Him will guide the lost home from an Eternal Flame of Hope of living for Him.

Everyone who acknowledges Me before others I will acknowledge before My heavenly Father.  But whoever denies Me before others, I will deny before My heavenly Father. “Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword. For I have come to set a man ‘against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one’s enemies will be those of his household.’ “Whoever loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me; and whoever does not take up his Cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. “Whoever receives you receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives the One who sent Me.” Matthew 10:32-40

Yesterday I addressed a youth group from our church about the importance of practice, prayer and preaching and I was struck with great gratitude for Deacon Alpha and his wife Glardia who had undertaken 23 adolescents from 9 to 21 instilling in them the love of God and the Truth of Christ Jesus.

Sacred Heart Youth Group

I enjoyed the youth’s energy and immediately was praying for their guidance and peace. Amazing how hard it seems sometimes to get through to the youth of today. I’m prayerfully thankful for them both for starting the prayer group’s leadership. How difficult it is for us to undertake but how dreadful the consequences are if we don’t art least try to instill in our children the importance of practice, prayer and proclaiming. Jesus said “whoever loses his life for My sake will find it” signaling to us our surrender to His Truth will bring families together instead of driving them apart. Deny to die. Carry to marry. Soul-2-Soul.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today for all youth to be guided by trust for You. We pray today for Deacon Alpha and his wife and every little child who was there yesterday, may you look over them and give peace to the ones who need it most. We pray for the Sera family and the loss of a son and a brother. Give them all peace in Your Holy Name we pray. Amen.

Romans 8:28

Spirit led God inspired Christ fed

Whoever Loses Receives His Cross

His peace will cause havoc

His peace for some to use

His Cross might seem heavy

His Cross is as light as Truth

Family unless taught will be searching

Family unless taught will cry

Family unless taught ever guiding

Family unless taught will die

Whoever loses receives lost families

Whoever loses receives his cost

Whoever loses receives His reward

Whoever loses receives His Cross

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
