Wig’s Word of God Today 11-17-2010
“Worthy are you, Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things; because of your will they came to be and were created.” Revelation 4:11
Revelation 4:1-11, Psalm 150:1b-2, 3-4, 5-6, & Luke 19:11-28
John’s vision continues in Chapter 4 of Revelation as he is swept up in a spirit and enters the doors of Heaven. There he encounters the Throne of God where an image of majestic wonders surround His heavenly seat including gold and emeralds all which suggest the majesty of God. Sitting amongst Him are the 24 Elders who represent the 24 Tribes of Israel constantly giving praise to our God. I believe many of us want to constantly praise God in the same way but we haven’t figured out how to do this. How can we praise God all time? I mean, we have a family, a career and bills to pay, right? But the Book of Revelation gives us this imagery to accomplish the Will of God here on earth and by our lives; we can praise God continually in everything we do. What’s the first breath from your mouth when you get up in the morning? My wife and I say together, “in the Name of the Father Who created me, in the Name of Son Who Redeemed me and in the Name of the Holy Spirit Who sanctifies me, we offer You this day we are about to take on. You can praise God in all you do. There is nothing holding you back from talking to God all the time offering everything you are doing in His Name. Call on the Lord for everything. Give Him His due praise. And you too will see the Glory of the Lord! Hallelujah!
Luke 19 gives us the Parable with two themes: the Parable of the Productive Servant and the Parable of the Rejected King. Both allow us to understand even today the needs of being productive for Christ all the time while recognizing even He was rejected by many while establishing the New Covenant here on earth. Take each day as an opportunity to do more for the Lord. Look for ways to share the Kingdom of Heaven proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus to bring Eternal Salvation for those who choose. Just as Christ was rejected, He explains to us that we will be pitted against even our own families in sharing the Good News of Christ Jesus. But do not dismay, be ever diligent for the Lord and seek not to accomplish your own will but seek to accomplish the Will of God. Only through His love and guidance can we become all God intends for us to be. By loving your love of Christ, you are a productive servant even when people put you down and are judgmental towards you.
And so we pray: Dear Lord, we continue our nine days of prayers of peace and healing for Chris Santello. We pray today for the Fort Myers Emmaus Team and candidates this weekend. I offer a prayer of thanksgiving for prayers answered for a friend and I ask Lord to use everyone who reads my study to be productive servants for Your Glory. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
God Bless,

Salvation’s Vision to Be
The door is open
We will surely see
Repentance to proclaim
Is our guarantee
A halo surrounds Him
His Throne sparkles too
Majestic wonders of love
Constant adoration to prove
Almighty and Holy
Everyone will agree
Limitless and pure
Freedom eternally
Be productive for Him
Sharing the Truth eagerly
Even He was rejected
Salvation’s vision to Be
