Returning to God with patience, persistence and purpose of sharing God’s Truth.

So whoever is in Christ is a New Creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come. Second Corinthians 5:17

This son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found. Luke 15:24

Joshua 5:9, 10-12, Psalm 34, Second Corinthians 5:17-21 & Luke 15:1-3, 11-32

A week ago today I was preparing to awake in the Hills of North Carolina where just the day before I was running around in snow flurries yelling “thank you God for washing us clean” acting as only a Native Florida Boy could do praying I could make a Snow Angel summoning and showering God with praise holding my hands high and yes while opening my mouth up catching the surprisingly large snowflakes drifting towards the ground. (Whew, a 77 word sentence.) The most amazing thing about life is to be “Born Again” in Christ when the waters of Baptism wash your sins away and allow a fresh look on life as examples of living True to God begin to emerge in your thoughts, actions and deeds to know Christ’s love of body, mind and soul.

Paul reminds us to day we are a “New Creation” gifting us with His Grace to accomplish new and exciting acts of charity joined in returning to God with patience, persistence and purpose of sharing God’s Truth. You can see it in your friends and family warming your heart indulging in Truth by practice of His Word living His New Creation day-by-day energizing the dead body leaving old things behind enjoying new things in Christ. The wrong turns of a selfish child can one day turn into a found new creation in Christ.

Any father I would think feels the same way about any loss of their own child in their heart whether separated by life’s mistakes of selfishness or greedy desires acting excited as Christ’s Parable depicts. Love of child does not go away it resonates in your soul as a silent reality of God’s love. It is God’s love that is constant through hurt and pain success and failures birth and death. Being Born Again allows God to daily wash you anew in His Spirit seeking faith, admiring hope and living love. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today we live Born Again in Your Spirit of Truth. Day 7 of a Novena for the completion of Carolina Emmaus #2. Praying for Kairos. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Greg Bishop has constant prayers. LORD, grant us the courage of our convictions that our lives may faithfully reflect the Good News You bring. I pray for Juan Menendez and his family who my poem is in honor of today. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God did not create us to be critical of others but to lift each up in prayer.

Let us know, let us strive to know the LORD; as certain as the dawn is his coming. He will come to us like the rain, like spring rain that waters the earth. Hosea 6:3

I tell you, the latter went home justified, not the former; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted. Luke 18:14

Hosea 6:1-6, Psalm 51 & Luke 18:9-14

Without water we find no life to know while in water we find pulsating a victory we pursue that is already won. Paul as many of us was/are amazed to know God truly accepted him from the depths of sin recognizing not the disgust selfishness rings in the heart of humanity. I think each and every one of us wants to live in harmony void of danger, destitute and deceits wanting God’s love just as the flowers silently crave needing His “spring rain that waters the earth.”  The “know” comes in practice to turn the pages of Truth quietly and exuberantly celebrating the triumph already accomplished in the Stained Grounds of Calvary’s Hill.

Our lives accept this fact in the complexity of pain as well as exaltation. Here we find the joy of praising God in worship by prayer alone in a quiet place and together in community forgoing self-living evolving Christ’s Charity. We remain alive in Christ in havoc reaped by accident or involvement humbling ourselves before God every moment of every day. Awake with Him in prayer on your lips and pray to Him with eyes closed holding your spouse’s hand as you go to sleep.

Jesus reminds us today in this Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector that God wants us to feel justified in our proclamation of repentance from sin forgoing display of prideful judgment of others like the Pharisee a supposed man of dignity distinguished by strict observance of the traditional and written law of the Old Testament. Jesus observed hypocrites not relishing God’s love of all mankind humbly serving as a Child of God playing in the PE Fields of Life.

The Pharisee took up his position and spoke this prayer to himself, ‘O God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of humanity—greedy, dishonest, adulterous—or even like this tax collector I fast twice a week, and I pay tithes on my whole income. But the tax collector stood off at a distance and would not even raise his eyes to heaven but beat his breast and prayed, ‘O God, be merciful to me a sinner.” God did not create us to be critical of others but to lift each up in prayer of respect seeking not selfish motives of dishonesty, flesh or envy rather faith, hope and love of charity. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to honor You humbly praying for those around us as Children of God. Carolina Emmaus #2. Praying for Kairos. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Greg Bishop has constant prayers. LORD, grant us Your strength and wisdom that we may seek to follow Your Will in all things. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Convinced of righteousness won

Despising obvious Truth he undone

IN prayer he selfishly sung

His own merits in his life of fun

Off in a distance the tax collector bowed

Looking not to heaven in shame he growled

Give God our whole heart allowing His Truth to be the fruit of our lips.

Take with you words, and return to the LORD; Say to Him, Forgive all iniquity, and take what is good. Let us offer the fruit of our lips. Hosea 14:2

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. Mark 12:30

Hosea 14:2-10, Psalm 81 & Mark 12:28-34

Many times we fail to recognize God in our everything we do because we place not His Word first in our lives obscuring the Truth with mundane daily “routines” we accomplish in the name of “process, progress and prudence” not realizing Satan has his tail wrapped around the details these “three p’s” endure. We look at life as a process where we have to be somewhere at some time in our lives to accomplish something driven by pride.

We have to go to college forget about God taking on desires of the heart in flesh to find greed in every cup of coffee. We believe the process of growing from a child to and adult is liken to a video game filled with flash and flair to steal our mind’s desire to live for God not incorporating His Son’s Truth of Charity to swim in God’s clear clean water of life.

We do all this in the name of progress allowing Satan’s tethered tail to lead us knowingly and unknowingly to places of more waste, wickedness and worry disturbing the balance of nature forgoing charity for choice. We begin prudently saving our money for “rainy days” that never come witnessing caution we think is wisdom allowing foresight to become hindsight ruining our calculations of common sense. Remain in Christ as He in you by the “Three P’s” of Truth instilling persistence, practicality and purpose.

We must return to God with our whole heart allowing His Truth to be “the fruit of our lips” in practice taking only “what is good” by prayer forgiving “all iniquity” in our proclamation of Christ’s Redemption. We must learn life is not about fortune and fame but to provide charity and change to live in God’s grace and love. If your vocation has taken you to financial heights or dirt-poor exclusions, God asks more of those who have more and complete surrender of all who are given the means to survive by God’s grace of trust.  Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to live in Your Words openly sharing our means by Your grace of Trust. Carolina Emmaus #2. Praying for Kairos. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Faithfulness has disappeared; the Word itself is banished from their speech. Jeremiah 7:28e

Exclaiming veneration of God’s Truth in every aspect of your life.

Faithfulness has disappeared; the Word itself is banished from their speech. Jeremiah 7:28e

Whoever is not with Me is against Me, and whoever does not gather with Me scatters. Luke 11:23

Jeremiah 7:23-28, Psalm 95 & Luke 11:14-23

We carry a lot of faith in our lives if we repeat the Name Jesus Christ over-and-over-and-over-and-over again often during the day not in vain but in reverence of His Truth we exclaim in our desires, destination and duty to God’s Word. I’m sure none of us would argue that mankind’s speech as a whole has evolved into a majority of us using words as easy as breathing that disrespect God’s Grace, Grandeur and Greatness. We must bellow in our desires to be One with God by exclaiming veneration of God’s Truth in every aspect of your life.

Oh sure, we’re going to make mistakes that stop us cold in our tracks but we must engage mistakes with confidence of God’s forgiveness continuing to worship God in thought, action and deed. The ultimate destination of God’s love is a never-ending trip gathering with the souls who revered God’s Son as the only Way to live eternally in the Perpetual Bosom of God’s Grace by the faith, hope and love we embraced in God’s Word.

The Word of God is living and active form of Grace that breathes and calls out deserving our duty to offer respect, reverence and resolution to give our all for Jesus and Jesus alone. The Word of God teaches us in Hebrews Chapter 4 versus 10 through 13 that nothing can be hidden from God making known the words we share in disrespect disgracing the One and Only True God by our lives of lust, envy and greed.

Whoever enters into God’s rest, rests from his own works as God did from His. Therefore, let us strive to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall after the same example of disobedience. Indeed, the Word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart. No creature is concealed from Him, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must render an account.” Hebrews 4: 10-13

Living His Word will lead us for sure

Respect for reverence of His Holy Word to endure

The lips of many gives off smells and sounds of pig manure

Find humility forgoing mockery standing tall teaching God’s love.

Make them (God’s Commandments) known to your children and to your children’s children. Deuteronomy 4:9c

Whoever breaks one of the least of these Commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these Commandments will be called greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 5:19

Deuteronomy 4:1, 5-9, Psalm 147 & Matthew 5:17-19

There comes a time in our lives when we have to realize the importance of our survival depends on studying and living the Commandments God expects from us in our daily lives as Children of God. Here, we lose the fright of ridicule while we slowly but surely depend on God more-and-more each day until our old self has melted away with every letter from the Word of God is resonated in our hearts by practice, prayer and preaching. I know, it’s hard to live God’s Truth let alone read it every day and it defiantly isn’t easy to say in public, “Jesus Christ is Risen. He is Risen indeed.” We shy away from these simple confessions worrying more about selfish desires or short-fused responses than we do on how God can perfect the love of living by His peace and passion in Truth.

You can see the new self-arise when you guard your children in this way too receiving unknown graces of honor, hunger and humility of God’s Everlasting Ability to strengthen your heart to live for His charity of life. When we bring down the defenses allowing God to work in our lives, we strive to understand the need for complete surrender rendering our lives in accordance with Christ’s Redemption. Something we must share with our children, our friends and acquaintances by every encounter we have allowing God’s honor instilled our hearts to pulsate His love. It’s a feeling of hunger in the pit of our solar plexus craving God not living for ourselves. You will find such humility here forgoing mockery standing tall as God as your guide. Nothing will bother you for in your lives Christ’s Eternal Life of Redemption seeking God’s Will. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to share Your Commandments by our Tru th st in You. Welcome prayers for Carolina Emmaus #2. Praying for Kairos. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Supplying not enough surrender in the era of youth’s capability?

My father, if the prophet told you to do something extraordinary, would you not do it? All the more since he told you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?” So Naaman went down and plunged into the Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of God. His flesh became again like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. Second Kings 5:13-14

Amen, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own native place. Again, there were many lepers in Israel during the time of Elisha the prophet; yet not one of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian. Luke 4:24,27

Second Kings 5:1-15, Psalm 42 & Luke 4:24-30

Imagine being told to go and wash yourself and you’d be clean of a disease that bursted  upon your body like puss popping sores in the night causing fingers to die and your face to fall apart. It’s an ugly sight and takes a special person to minister to them and take care of them for the Glory of God the Father. Naaman was aching for cleanliness more than anything else. Could you follow the guide set forth in His Word to find this type of cleansing? I have felt like a little child this past weekend coming to Jesus on my knees crying like a baby needing a hug. We have the answers to life’s puzzling questions in a beauty we continually set a apart by misconception.

We think it’s too much too soon so we give too little too late supplying not enough surrender in the era of youth’s capability. When you find Truth with time to act instead of linger, you listen to the Prophets of Old discovering the type of person it takes to hold a leper or treat a child with no hands. I met this type of man over the weekend in his walk to Emmaus. After a couple of years of living in half mile area of concrete, casualties and corpses, this man takes a break to seek further support completing his journey home finding men to lift him up in prayer in a weekend retreat. I salute this man who I prayed with and embraced as a Brother in Christ.

I finish now returning at 1 AM from flights home to write and share the fire that had me singing out loud in the Charlotte Airport awaiting my flight with arms raised above my head sounding like the loving Jesus Freak I am singing aloud and dancing. I was still humming the tunes of God when I boarded the plane to find one of the men who attended looking up at me taking the words right out of my mouth from row 1 in First Class with voice lifted, “Jesus Christ is Risen!” I spoke out, “He is Risen Indeed!” both of us smiling being amazed that we were on the same flight. God is so amazing.

The Mountains of Sudan are being terrorized by a government seeking to convert tribes of people to be Muslim dropping bombs on the villages tearing hands off little boys destroying the legs of others. I salute Dr. Tom Catena who vigorously doctors and directs Mother of Mercy Hospital in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan. He operates with aging medical equipment dealing with cases that’ll break the heart of any man, woman or child.

He is a testament of God’s faith, hope and love living for and in humanity’s charity true servants of God seek to live and enjoy. His efforts go unnoticed and his risk is goes beyond dangerous protected my his mothers prayers of angels surrounding his hospital he lives and work 24 hours a day committed to God’s Love. Can you help him? See my sight for further information on how you can help a man living God’s Work. Today’s poem is in honor of him below. God, watch over him. Amen.

So let our sacrifice be in Your presence today and find favor before You; for those who trust in You cannot be put to shame. Daniel 3:40

So will my Heavenly Father do to you, unless each of you forgives his brother from his heart. Matthew 18:35

Daniel 3:25, 34-43, Psalm 25 & Matthew 18:21-35

Finding trust in God’s Word allows forgiveness to penetrate your heart with such humility holding a grudge becomes a thing of the past learning instead to offer your anger to Christ’s Mantle of Love granting understanding and unity with His Spirit of Truth. I know, the hardest thing to do is to forgive people especially family and friends let alone foes but God reminds us today that if we don’t let go and let God living in pity for your fellow brother and sister in Christ He too will not forgive you to grant entrance into His Heavenly Kingdom at the final judgment.

When we learn to forgive and forget, we live in honor of Christ’s Truth allowing us to forgive “not seven times but seventy-seven times” accomplishing something more precious each time we let go in the Spirit of God’s love and understanding. We let this forgiveness seep into the being we live and speak as a Child of God embraced in arms of Christ. It is a feeling of surrender incorporated into the daily walk we have in home, at work and in public seeking not our own will but the Will of God abiding in faith, hope and love experiencing charity of His Truth. Amen.

God will not allow us undertake anything He Himself will not give us the strength and knowledge to overcome.

These things happened to them as an example, and they have been written down as a warning to us, upon whom the end of the ages has come. First Corinthians 10:11

Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; it may bear fruit in the future. If not you can cut it down. Luke 13:8-9

Exodus 3:1-8, 13-15, Psalm 103, First Corinthians 10:1-6, 10-12 & Luke 13:1-9

We all think we can live forever living foolishly absent from God’s Commands. Some may even deny the need to be educated about God’s history of civilization opting instead to live wrapped up in desires of the heart escaping reality by seeking pleasures of a life in excess denying the history that has given them life. The LORD has led His Chosen People through different aspects of growth by the guidance shared with Prophets of old allowing the examples of living in faith, hope and love “upon whom the end of the ages has come.”

Paul allows us a comparison to the Children of Israel during their exodus explaining the realities of the New Covenant through baptism, spiritual food and drink expressing the interpretation in this way to point forward to the Christian experience. By no means does this give humanity an indication of a permanent pleasure explaining if mankind does not repent they will experience the same as those who died in multitudes by God’s wrath. “Let us not indulge in immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell within a single day.”

They were all given the opportunity to eat “the same spiritual food” hydrated by “the same spiritual drink” from the “Rock” sustaining their need for water. This “Rock” was the Christ explain their trials were not of God but that of human nature for God will not allow us undertake anything He Himself will not give us the strength and knowledge to overcome. “No trial has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; but with the trial he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it.”

The Parable of the un-producing fig tree points to this fact because without proper guidance or cultivation if you will we as a people will indulge and experience death but lifted in care surrendered to God we can overcome any all obstacles of life by trusting in His Word. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to allow our lives to be guided by Your Truth. Carolina Emmaus has our prayers. Praying for Kairos. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Trust the Word of God with the desires of our heart and find the forgiveness God promises.

Who is a God like you, who removes guilt and pardons sin for the remnant of His inheritance; Who does not persist in anger forever, but instead delights in mercy. Micah 7:18

My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours. But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found. Luke 15:31-32

Micah 7:14-15, 18-20, Psalm 103 & Luke 15:1-3, 11-32

Do you often wonder if God truly forgives our sins allowing us to know His Son’s Redemption without question? Questions like these arise in the mind of us all especially if you have “squandered” all of your possessions given to you in an inheritance making life seem lost and lonely. We must learn to trust the Word of God with the desires of our heart and find the forgiveness God promises by the grace He bestows on you in your obedience to His Truth. You can’t help but to experience the Grace of God when you live for God and God alone because they will come at you unexpectedly filling your heart with such amazing warmth and love that it overwhelms you to the point of “God bumps” or literally take your breath away. Find it now, God’s grace that is, by taking in a deep breath and exhaling saying, “I love You LORD. Thank You for Your grace of peace. Amen.”

I awake today in South Carolina serving 52 men for the Glory of God allowing each to witness the true forgiveness each of us feels in our heart by our faith, hope and love in God’s Word. The Walk to Emmaus reveals many things but most importantly a retreat of this magnitude allows God’s Grace to envelop the soul of the one who trusts and lives the forgiveness of Truth. My trip north has been a cold one but the Holy Spirit keeps us warm by the Fire of His Love. I have encountered some technical difficulties preventing from recording my work over this weekend. I will move forward by God’s grace giving my all to His Truth. Be not afraid for God “does not persist in anger forever, but instead delights in mercy.” Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to trust and share Your forgiveness by our desire to live for You and You alone. Carolina Emmaus has our prayers. Praying for Kairos. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Greg Bishop has constant prayers. LORD, allow us to be forever in Your care. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Jesus’ love made me fall– In Honor of Carlos Zalvidar

I don’t want to be here theme

More importantly I feel unworthy and mean

Dirty little secrets blown long ago

I thought I’m unworthy of Christ to know

God gives forgiveness

No matter the your ills

Murder or swindler

Christ’s Cross God’s Will

Supposed to be here

God in the center of life

Here to show surrender

Jobs of God to end your strife

Sixty seconds with your eyes closed

Open your heart to see the knows

Uncle signed me up to Emmaus to grow

St Louis the starting point to show

Nightmare it seemed I saw

Their peace was my inviting draw

Trial and tribulations the eternal law

Jesus’ love made me fall

Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the scriptures: ‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes’? Therefore, I say to you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit. Matthew 21:42-43

Wigs Word of God Today 3-1-2013

Take the present and turn it into the future of God’s Will by loving His Son.

Then he had another dream, and told it to his brothers. “Look, I had another dream,” he said; “this time, the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” Genesis 37:9

Genesis 37:3-18, Psalm 105 & Matthew 21:33-46

There will be times in your life God will reveal to you the future by your surrender to His Will in practice, prayer and proclaiming that will seem so unreal you may want to reject it or deny it completely until one day “wham” it hits you like a ton of bricks falling from the sky. Joseph although he was an adolescent he experienced these dreams as a youth that infuriated his brothers to the point of wanting to kill him but instead of shedding his blood they sold him off to one day be the true ruler over them as God intended and allowed Joseph to see in the Divine Revelation Joseph explained of his dream. Many times we will see God’s intention for our future but are too caught up in our own desires to recognize His Truth in dreams that are written off as common every day fantasies.

If only we can take the present and turn it into the future of God’s Will by loving His Son above all things wanting nothing more than to please Gods every desire then we too can find His Truth to guide His Divine Will for our lives. Don’t be afraid to trust God’s Divine revelations in your life and turn them into the thoughts, actions and deeds God is asking you to accomplish. We see this in our everyday need to live the Sacraments of Faith not rejecting what God intended us to know in sin forgiveness in His Son the One and Only Way to Heaven. Be not afraid of witnessing to the Truth before “the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit.” Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to trust Your Divine revelation to us carried out as Your Will for our lives. Carolina Emmaus #2 begins today remaining in our prayers for His Will to be lived by those attending and directing. Prayers of safe travel for the Miami Team and all attending. Praying for Kairos. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Greg Bishop has constant prayers. LORD, keep temptation from our heart and please cool our soul by Your grace. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Seven Sacraments of Faith’s Reconciliation– In Honor of Deacon Labelle

I hope you’ll come to understand

That partaking makes a stand

In the Sacraments of Christ’s life so grand

Experiencing Heaven on earth of God’s land

Living the Sacraments of Food

When washed clean in Baptism’s youth

Give adoration to the Eucharist Truth

Nourishing your mind and soul by its use

Christ’s body and blood honored as proof

Receiving the Host’s forever Good News

Confirming your faith in honoring God proves

You want His Son and His Spirit over recluse

Repent asking for and living in forgiveness

Through confession you find Truth’s eagerness

Always binding Christ in the midst of marital bliss

The union as one in God obedient to His wilderness

Maybe taking the desire to serve God to the point of vocation

As a priest, deacon or lay person devoted to the sick substantiation

Sharing Christ Who receives Last Rites confirmation

As it used to be called in the Seven Sacraments of Faith’s Reconciliation
