The Mighty One has done great things for me, and Holy is His Name. Luke 1:48

Wig’s Word of God Today 12-22-2012

Clearly living virtue’s Truth delight?

There is no Holy One like the LORD; there is no Rock like our God. 1st Samuel 2:2

The Mighty One has done great things for me, and Holy is His Name. Luke 1:48

First Samuel 1:24-28, First Samuel 2:1, 4-5, 6-7, 8 & Luke 1:46-56

To experience the LORD in fellowship is a beautiful thing but to see the LORD in everything you do walking with Him every step of the Way brings about an even closer relationship with God establishing the right God instilled in the world knowing sin more clearly living virtue’s Truth delight. Yes, I said it, Virtue’s Truth Delight! The work of God isn’t work to ignore anymore. God’s work is to implore your thoughts, actions and deeds announcing over and over again, “There is no Holy One like the LORD; there is no Rock like our God.” “My LORD and my God” work me in Your Truth by what I think no matter where I am.

It’s an experience to witness amongst the incarcerated our Kairos ministry visits once a month when a man jailed for God knows how long says, “I’d rather be in jail giving my life to Christ than be on the outside living in sin.” Profound stress to overcome for some: the life of deceit, lust and greed ending in death by unmentionable means. I’ve seen it grab souls and torture them into skin and bones. I’ve seen God squash every ounce of desire to sin bringing forth a faithful, fruitful and focused foundation of living His Word shouting, “The Mighty One has done great things for me, and Holy is His Name.”

I long for this connection with God as much as you do. I tell Him over and over again I’m sorry for my sins and it hurts to the point of tears trembling hands raised above in flight searching for Christ’s Light of faith, hope and love. I know in my heart once you see it and live it by humble submission you will share in God’s Virtue Truth Delight. Oh, what a De-Light! Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to announce Your Holy Name in all we do. I’m beginning a vigil for my life-long friend Greg Bishop. Please call out his name during your days of praying. Prayers are everlasting for God to give us a sign to lead us home. I’m ready, are you? Prayers for our Kairos group and the men living in bars but free in You. Praying for all the men calling out to us for prayers. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

A kinsmen than a stranger will do– Genesis 28-29

Isaac sends Jacob to seek a wife in Paddan-Aram

Reminded not to marry a Hittite woman

Esau watched him go to find his wife

So Esau went and married Mabalath daughter of Ishmael to fight

Jacob went and worked for Laban

His kinsmen the uncle working for none

Laban asked why are you working for free?

Jacob replied to marry your daughter you see

It is better to give my daughter to you

A kinsmen than a stranger will do

For seven years he worked for Laban

Expecting Rebekah his due

At the seventh year Jacob asked for his bride

A wedding feast was given and he was taken for a ride

Leah was the one he married unknown

The next day he asked why he was tricked after sown

Laban explained the custom was not complete

The eldest must marry first to be his treat

After one week you may marry Rebekah too

And his marriage was set to give seven more years in lieu

Jacob had children by Leah alone

God has shown mercy to her unloved by Jacob and shunned

In love with Rebekah he made his retreat

But Leah had God’s favor and three children total were at her feat

Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the LORD would be fulfilled. Luke 1:45

Wig’s Word of God Today 12-21-2012

Believe what God gives us no matter the cost, courage or candor.

Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the LORD would be fulfilled. Luke 1:45

Song of Songs 2:8-14, Psalm 33 & Luke 1:39-45

I think we always have a hard time believing what God says in His Word because we are too caught up in what someone else portrays as Godly or Devout in the deception created by sins ending vice. You can’t be holier than thou through someone else or something gripping your active thought leading to the pleasures of self. We take on personas to pacify the Truth in living without making the choice to completely surrender no matter the cost, courage or candor allowing what you believe to be in communion with God’s Divine Will and not the will of a protagonist’s enticing smile.

God has not been asking you to enjoin Him because of what someone else does for their own life as much as God is asking you to unite your own energies no matter the cost to find Him in everything you live for. Jesus will cost you friends.  Jesus will separate family by what you believe the LORD says to you will be fulfilled. Scripture teaches us in Luke chapter 12:51-53,

Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three; a father will be divided against his son and a son against his father, a mother against her daughter and a daughter against her mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”

There will be costs for Salvation but is there any figure at all we can put on freedom because of Christ’s Redemption? Today we CAN practice by reading our Bible uniting your time with God allowing anywhere, anytime or any circumstance to be skimming the Truth by the courage you find in Him. The courage it took a little Jewish girl to say yes knowing the costs but living the celebration.

God can give people the will to stand up against injustice but God gives each of us the courage to stand up in alone or together in prayer no matter the cost. I mean really, are you afraid of praying in public because someone will look down on you? Living a life of Christ takes courage to say yes as the young virgin did over 2000 years ago living in candor as she did in her Magnificat song of praise to her cousin Elizabeth.

To live in Christ’s candor we must forget about what people think and rely only what God instructs us to preach in His Word. Oh sure, it’ll cost you friends and family alike but the courage you use to preach the Gospel will dispel any notion of conceit by humbly presenting the Truth with candor’s mindful prop.

This Christmas celebrate with God’s union of no matter the cost, courage or candor it’ll take to live for God and God alone. You will practice, pray and preach to respond to God’s Call in Christ just as Mary’s proclaiming candor, “My soul proclaims the greatness of the LORD my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to believe LORD the Truth spoken to us through Your Word. Day 9 of Julian’s Healing Surgery Novena. Constant prayers for Greg Bishop. Prayers are everlasting for God to give us a sign to lead us home. I’m ready, are you? Thoughtful prayers for our Kairos group entering the prison tonight to share the Gospel with men in blue. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

For nothing will be impossible for God. Luke 1:37

Wig’s Word of God Today 12-20-2012

Live Christ to teach nothing will be impossible for God.

Therefore the LORD Himself will give you a sign; the young woman, pregnant and about to bear a son, shall name Him Emmanuel. Isaiah 7:14

For nothing will be impossible for God. Luke 1:37

Isaiah 7:10-14, Psalm 24 & Luke 1:26-38

The young woman will bear the sign that envelops the world in God’s true “discovery” so to speak for until this very moment of birth the human race had not experienced God in the flesh giving us warmth, worth and worry for many who could no longer deny His Truth to gain God’s Only Salvation from sins. We’ve been so indifferent about wronging God we begin living the obvious temptations of sins luring hypnotic thrust the world around you will smother you with.

What used to be considered smut and filth is now seen commonly every day. We live in shock as our children around us are taught by means of electronic equipment and their desires of instant gratification has led to impatience, impurity and infection of the minds we are teaching to lead our world. I pray we will lead our children in God’s spirit of Truth seeking to live His Sign of Possibility. Here God is with us to carry our confidence, courage and conviction every step of His Way in our lives as the world begins to move to excess in the name of freedom.

We seem to already know and begin to live the effects of this paradigm shift happening in the world at our point of history organizing the faithful unlike any time in our past. There will come a day when a sign from above will come with such thrust waking up the world with devastation where God will ask us the faithful to lend a hand to the lost teaching them God’s faith, hope and love. Until this day we as God-fearing Christ loving men and women must live out the sign given in Christ to teach “nothing will be impossible for God.” Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to live out Your Sign of Salvation by the Good News of Your Son Jesus Christ. Day 8 of Julian’s Healing Surgery Novena for surgery yesterday. Constant prayers for Greg Bishop. Prayers are constant for God to give us a sign to lead us home. I’m ready, are you? In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Mimicking the angelic states of God’s Truth. The angel of the LORD answered him: Why do you ask my name? It is wondrous. Judges 13:18

Wig’s Word of God Today 12-19-2012

Mimicking the angelic states of God’s Truth.

The angel of the LORD answered him: Why do you ask my name? It is wondrous. Judges 13:18

And the angel said to him in reply, “I am Gabriel, who stand before God. I was sent to speak to you and to announce to you this Good News. Luke 1:19

Judges 13:2-25, Psalm 71 & Luke 1:5-25

We arrive in flight from our greatest imaginations ever when we think of the Angels we dream and pray about encountering to escape rotten madness we are living or dance in God’s Will in a completely surrendered state. The Greek word angelos and the Hebrew malak refer to the term “angel” meaning “messenger.” Theologians simply refer to Angels as “God’s messengers” intriguing our lives when we hear the stories about the fallen Angel turned adversary purposely delivering mischief, mayhem and madness to as many souls as possible.

We don’t want the bad angels or evil spirits in our lives but we ache to hear what wickedness does to the lives of our family, friends and more importantly foes of our existence. We have a hard time letting go and letting God in more ways than one hindering the communion we live for God. The evil in the world is overcome by the good we live for in mimicking the angelic states of God’s Truth.

The biblical angels we read and dream about are the same angels you unknowingly serve as described by Paul in Hebrews 1:14, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent to serve, for the sake of those who are to inherit Salvation?” Is this not the real reason we live to serve God for? To inherit Salvation as angelic people of love alighting our faith, hope and love as angels of charity. You too can be an angel to companions, strangers and enemies alike in the wings of eternal harmony. If only we’d be His messenger more often we might see humanity transform more readily to angelic flights of Truth. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to be angels of Truth. Day 7 of Julian’s Healing Surgery Novena for surgery today. Praying for Greg Bishop. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

This is the name to be given Him: “The LORD our justice.” Jeremiah 23:6c

Wig’s Word of God Today 12-18-2012

Is the LORD of Justice your daily surrender?

This is the name to be given Him: “The LORD our justice.” Jeremiah 23:6c

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name Him Emmanuel, ”which means “God is with us.” Matthew 1:23

Jeremiah 23:5-8, Psalm 72 & Matthew 1:18-24

We fail to find God with us in every aspect of our lives unless we purposely call out to Him in practice, prayer and preaching to accomplish His Will in everything we do. I know, I write a lot about the “Three P’s of Surrender,” for I know there results of yours truly over the last seven years. Without reading your Bible daily you fall into temptation quicker and are easily swayed by others trying to talk you into this or that.

To believe and live that “The LORD (is) our justice,” one cannot make strides to be One with God without prayer and petition allowing a complete communion with the Maker of Life. We learn as grow closer to God’s Truth to shout His Salvation from the rooftops not being afraid of speaking about God’s Truth by the Holy Spirit directing our every thought, every action and every deed. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to trust You are with us LORD through every high and every low our life lives for You. Day 6 of Julian’s Healing Surgery Novena, update to follow. Praying for Greg Bishop. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

May His foes kneel before Him, His enemies lick the dust. Psalm 72:8

Wig’s Word of God Today 12-17-2012

I encourage prayer over revenge.

May His foes kneel before Him, His enemies lick the dust. Psalm 72:8

Genesis 49:2, 8-10, Psalm 72 & Matthew 1:1-17

We want more than anything else the retribution God promises for the people of the world to sit back and watch the enemies of peace to “lick the dust” as they kneel before Him in submission but we all seem to know this, lacking regard of what to do about it, that God is everything and in everything our reactions to life should align with God Eternal Order of Truth. Ok, stay with me here, if God is in everything and evil still lingers in thoughts, actions and works, how will we know the foes of faith, hope and love presented in God’s Truth bow before Him?

How does humanity feel any satisfaction that wrongs are righted and love prevails? The death inflicted upon us by anyone’s weapons of choice just as the young man did in Sandy Hook Elementary School Friday will ultimately happen again and again no matter the preparation. Where is the wrong righted here or in cases such as these? Is it the death inflicted upon them in suicide or society’s judgment? Did God want that young man to kill and die senselessly?

If God was forced out of the schools by choice to enjoy freedom? Will God be allowed back in schools to enjoy life? We gained freedom by the Separation of Church and State, right? Or have we gone too far lacking the courage to right a wrong God calls humanity to undertake. God’s Eternal Will offers the Truth that each of us will die somehow, someway and sometime; here lies the judgment kneeling before God licking His dust in death unless we seek the Truth in Eternal Life where murder is exchanged for music.

Our desires to have ramifications only God should choose places evil desires on the heart and soul to gain immediate or planned retribution. What we took away from this young man is the very thing we are now calling upon in any situation like this: God. People reported the churches were filled on Sunday. My daily prayer is church should be instilled in everyone from day 1 of all life until God’s Will calls you home. We will continue to ask God over and over and over to show us our desired revenge, “May His foes kneel before Him, His enemies lick the dust.” I encourage prayer over revenge. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to allow You LORD inflicts your retribution on evil as we pray for peace. We are mourning in prayer through Monday evening with flags at half-mast for all victims of Friday’s tragedy in Sandy Hook Elementary School. Day 5 of Julian’s Healing Surgery Novena, update to follow. Praying for Greg Bishop. We begin prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca, story extraordinaire. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Your kindness should be known to all. The LORD is near. Philippians 4:5

Wig’s Word of God Today 12-16-2012

Endangering God’s communion with our soul’s desire to be kindhearted?

Your kindness should be known to all. The LORD is near. Philippians 4:5

I am Baptizing you with water, but One mightier will Baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Luke 3:16a,c

Zephaniah 3:14-18, Isaiah 12:2-3, 4, 5-6, Philippians 4:4-7 & Luke 3:10-18

I think we fail let people know the LORD is near by our complacency of life not living to accomplish righteousness deeds but deeds of dissatisfaction with expectancy, endearment and enlightenment endangering God’s communion with our soul’s desire to be kindhearted. We see it every day but haven’t a clue of how we are to overcome this devastating due. If you think about it, it really is a bunch of doo-doo that leaves a lingering smell of selfishness, greed and flesh because the process of chasing one’s tail allows you to step in the doo-doo over and over and over again pushing the smell into every crevice unless the sweet smell of Salvation smother’s its very thought, trust and testament.

We seem to expect God’s favor without lending the necessary calories of exertion surrendered to His Purpose and His Purpose alone. Use His knowledge in your mind to expect an “honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay.” Share the expectation with your children, husband or wife, friends and family- anyone you meet by wearing Christ’s Smile of Salvation. We all know the best way to bear witness to Christ’s Gospel is to live His Truth by the sweat of our brow only using words to create dialogue not debate.

We should find satisfaction in the compliments of these people we are and live in the Smile of Christ’s Redemption. This form of endearment refreshes the soul eliminating the need for public flattery changing your sacrifices into skills of Salvation upon which God’s enlightenment changes your very chemical makeup illuminated by the Spirit of Truth. I for one have found more satisfaction here in God’s enlightenment where I can feel the Baptizing effects of the Holy Spirit’s fire of Fidelity. What you see here in brevity can enlighten the dimension of kindness measured across the avenues of living. Where you drive is as important as who you’re driving with. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to live Your kindness in everything we do. We are mourning in prayer with flags at half-mast for all victims of Friday’s tragedy in Sandy Hook Elementary School. Day 3 of Julian’s Healing Surgery Novena, update to follow. Children: Senseless death causing us to remain dumbstruck in despair. “O God of Hosts, restore us; light up Your face and we shall be saved.” Psalm 80:8

Wig’s Word of God Today 12-15-2012

Children: Senseless death causing us to remain dumbstruck in despair.

O God of Hosts, restore us; light up Your face and we shall be saved. Psalm 80:8

Sirach 48:1-4, 9-11, Psalm 80 & Matthew 17:10-13

The world is aching more and more by acts that ask us to call out to the God of Hosts because we are bewildered by the evil actions of a person gone mad. We’ve been digging around the Truth as if it were a cancer we want to rid ourselves of but is undoubtedly the faith, hope and love our Creator beckons humanity to embrace. It seems we hear the world reporting only to God when we experience the evil lost insanity of an individual who has snapped to originate despair, desolation and death.

Our jaws drop and our souls sink into a painful abyss that aches only as a sore truly does when we hear children are involved celebrating life innocently gunned down by a person living in resentment experiencing rage. We are asked by our leaders to offer prayers and thoughts of good will seemingly a generation to late as we ask ourselves how, who and why? Now we want know why evil spurted out of a man’s mind making his actions life-altering in an instant. What broke loose from its moor in a brain brought up in much the same way you and I were? How will we learn to tether souls that are lost to God’s faith, hope and love?

Are we avoiding the Truth because we have become numb to the ongoing pain our youth of the world are experiencing? Why do we only call out to God in death and despair instead of calling out to God daily in prayer for His Purpose? We’ve dug an altered route to Truth by our lost morals of flesh, flash and flair of the secular world’s enticing vehicles of instant gratification leading to death causing us to remain dumbstruck in despair. As a teacher, the images of yesterday placed enormous desire to pray and celebrate each child or adult killed. Today I remain numb in prayer filled with faith.

Our measures of excluding God from our children’s needs are evidently out-of-date as much as the need to pray every moment of every day is not being called upon in moments of procrastination. Have we proved yet God should be First in our lives? Today we awake to the headlines of horror instead of the sounds of cartoons for 20 children who just went to school to learn about love and life. Our prayers are steadfast for each mom and dad, brother and sister that go back generations. I pray the victims instill in the world God requests for prayer. As we call out, “O God of Hosts, restore us; light up Your face and we shall be saved.” Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today we call out to You in determination not desolation. We pray today for the children LORD who died. We pray for the parents. Vindication is God’s Wisdom Works “If only you would attend to My Commandments, your peace would be like a river, your vindication like the waves of the sea.” Isaiah 48:18 “Wisdom is vindicated by her works.” Matthew 11:19f

Wig’s Word of God Today 12-14-2012

Vindication is God’s Wisdom Works

If only you would attend to My Commandments, your peace would be like a river, your vindication like the waves of the sea. Isaiah 48:18

Wisdom is vindicated by her works. Matthew 11:19f

Isaiah 48:17-19, Psalm 1 & Matthew 11:16-19

I think I’d agree many are over stressed in today’s world worrying about this or that excluding God in decisions which could affect the future of their faith foundation. I’d like to point out you never destroy the ability to have and honor forgiveness it’s just that many of us deny and denounce forgiveness by our lack of concern for living in Truth. Mankind since the beginning of time has always placed the blame for their mistakes on the other guy, gumption and gorge to deny God’s Truth in falsehoods stealing our soul’s spiritual union with a God Who desires a unity unfathomable by most.

When we seek to get even without allowing God to be God, then the desire to take revenge consumes your love of life destroying the unity and peace God promises since the beginning of time. The Bible tells us God knows we want to have vindication that He is in control of and the destiny guaranteed by His Authorship of Life. This type of wisdom lived by you and me demonstrates our confidence in God’s faith, hope and love. It is the “wisdom is vindicated by her works.”

The ability to say I’m sorry and I forgive you goes a long way and should always be emphasized when someone does you wrong. God’s vindicates by a Right we have no place in planning. Our prayers overcome this desire to take and eye-for-an-eye by the confidence we place in His Divine Will for each and every one of us. People of Good Will are seeking harmony with each other by wisdom living in peace. I am reminded of Leviticus 19:18; “Take no revenge and cherish no grudge against your own people. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.” Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to allow our grudges to be judged by You. We pray John Martin’s Novena for healing and peace gives him comfort to know You are in charge. This is the one about whom it is written: ‘Behold, I am sending My messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way before you.’ Amen, I say to you, among those born of women there has been none greater than John the Baptist; yet the least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he. Matthew 11:10-11

Wig’s Word of God Today 12-13-2012

The least is greatest in Heaven by Truth.

Isaiah 41:13-20, Psalm 145 & Matthew 11:10-15

Why would John the Baptist be lower than the least in Heaven? A seemingly confusing statement that should say something like: “There is none greater than John the Baptist for the least in Heaven inspires to be just like him.” Right? I mean you’d think Jesus would refer to HIS messenger differently but here what Jesus did was make us more aware of just how much a privilege it is to be in the Kingdom of Heaven for the least who have it have more than anyone who doesn’t.

Jesus also was in the midst of rebuking John’s unbelief by even sending someone to ask from his jail cell if He is or He isn’t the One the Jews had been waiting for to come. Not since Malachi had Israel had a prophet to seek counsel in as they awaited the fulfillment of or to live out the Savior’s coming as described by prophets of old. Somewhere in the midst of 333BC to 444BC Malachi was writing his love of God turned prophesy so Israel surely had been waiting for some time.

While Jesus readily admits John is a Prophet, in Matthew 11:4-6 Jesus sends the messenger back with His message of fulfillment seemingly to ask, “Haven’t My miracles been enough.” “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the Good News proclaimed to them. And blessed is the one who takes no offense at Me.” John may have wanted and expected fire and brimstone from “the One Who is to come” but Jesus institutes love to overcome all evil something we live for today. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to live for the privilege of entering the Kingdom of Heaven. We pray day eight of a Novena for John Martin’s healing and peace. Day 1 of Julian’s Healing Surgery Novena, update to follow. Praying for Greg Bishop. We are free in Christ LORD and we thank You. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Yours in Christ,

Romans 8:28 Genesis 19:26

Lot’s wife looked back to be salt to this day– Genesis 19

The Two Angels entered Sodom in the night

Lot took them to where he thought was out of sight

The townsmen came demanding they come out to play

Derelicts of sinful lust decapitated their stay

Lot offered the misfits his daughter if they must

As the Angels pulled him back in blinding them in dust

As bright as the morning fire of God’s brimstone fuss

Blinding the entrance to the home he’s made of Trust

Send your family on their way

Do not look back consequence to pay

Lot’s wife looked back to be salt to this day

A pillar she stood to end her stay

As Abraham watched from far away

Lot was spared settling in the forest hill hay

For Abraham witnessed the fire and brimstone that day

Life was lonely in the hills they stay

The daughters wanted to preserve their father’s name
Hatching a plan to make him drunk to gain same

Both succeeding bringing forth two boys to gain

Moab and Ben-Ammi created Moabites and Bene-Ammon to sustain
