Thanksgiving 2012 “Now it is hidden from your eyes?” “As He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes.” Luke 9:41-42

Thanksgiving 2012 “Now it is hidden from your eyes?”

As He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes.” Luke 9:41-42

Revelation 5:1-10, Psalm 149 & Luke 9:41-44

I don’t know about you, but when I accepted Jesus as my LORD and Savior I felt a peace unlike any other. It surpassed the feeling of being protected by my mother, father, brother, sister, family, best friend, or wife. You know, that kind of feeling that makes you all warm inside when your wife or husband holds you or your mom or dad if you’re not married. Now imagine that infinitely. Close your eyes with me now. Do you feel it? The Presence of Christ amongst you? His Infinite Love?

This is the peace God has sent to the world to heal me and you. A sense of protection creating peace unsurpassed. What gives us peace must be revealed by your walk in Christ to bring out of the darkness that which has been “hidden from your eyes” but now illuminates from your Eyes of Christ. We must never lose sight of being thankful to God for all He gives us to share His Message of Peace and Truth.

There are Disciples all across the world practicing, praying and preaching that the world is moving towards a secular dominated society stealing the very religious liberties we fought and died for. The Disciples of the world are saying don’t agree with the age of killing children and marrying against God’s own design.  These same Disciples ask us to be “Thankful” today as THE Founding Father and First President of the United States George Washington proclaimed;

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His Will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor. Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be– That we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks–for His kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation.”

Today we are thankful for God as intended by the first Commander in Chief. I often wonder what these men and women would feel to know how the world’s chase of a dream has stolen the very dreams they risked their lives for. Let us be thankful for prayer today as God intended to overcome the loss of morals in the Truth our laws seem to deny. Let us always be thankful for courage to stand up when most seem to cry. God will surely reward us the faithful to be constant in our proclamation of His Truth and today as I am every day I am thankful for God’s strength to carry on. Amen.

Let us pray: Dear Father of all, we pray today in Thanksgiving as George Washington intended our great country do. I pray for each of you reading with me today and I am thankful for all of you. My prayers are with you all daily as they are peace. Day five of a Novena of prayers for Bruce Wilson. We pray in Christ’s Risen Name indeed. Amen.

Weeping openly He sneered

O’ Jerusalem what makes for fear?

Hidden from your eyes the Truth so dear.

Upon your day the enemy will kill

Palisade raised upon your holy hill

Their flags of occupation the choking pill

All sides smashed in a hole they will fill

Each child within left one stone on another

The Lamination of Humanity is like no other

His own death would soon be watched by His holy mother

Holy, holy, holy is the LORD God Almighty, Who was, and Who is, and Who is to come. Revelation 4:8e

Wig’s Word of God Today 11-21-2012

We learn to obey Him in worship or we learn to submit to His organic love.

Holy, holy, holy is the LORD God Almighty, Who was, and Who is, and Who is to come. Revelation 4:8e

Revelation 4:1-11, Psalm 150 & Luke 19:11-28

I sometimes wonder if people can really be ignorant to this fact: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD God Almighty, Who was, and Who is, and Who is to come.” I mean, look around you where I see God in everything that is. I hear Him in the birds that sing while I taste Him the bird’s delicious delicate wing. I can feel Him in a puppy so soft as I smell Him in Angel Trumpets swaying in the wind hanging alluring, aloof and aloft. I see Him in the smiles so high on life that brings a tear to my eyes allowing His Creation to shine fully alive.

Everywhere we look is God Almighty Who has created all things for our enjoyment, engagement and energy. Everywhere we look we see His Holiness as Mighty Holy and Majestic in everything that was, everything that is and everything that is to come being directed by the Source of all things living and non-living. I see Him in our “Free Will” guiding mankind to live by learning. We learn to obey Him in worship or we learn to submit to His unprocessed love. Yes we can live as we want but we will die as He commands.

I worship Him every moment of every day because He has given me a second chance to love life by forgiving me my sins. The sins of free will that I lived guided by His Will of forgiveness to accomplish His Will in family, fortune and famine to either live for Him or die when we deny Him. It is up to you and only you to find His Way and everyday way of life. Amen.

Let us pray: Dear LORD, we pray today to pronounce You as Holy to anyone, anytime and anywhere. Day four of a Novena of prayers for Bruce Wilson. LORD, we lift up Mr. Alacantara asking You to heal his cancer. We pray in Christ’s Risen Name indeed. Amen.

Those whom I love, I reprove and chastise. Be earnest, therefore, and repent. Revelation 3:19

Wig’s Word of God Today 11-20-2012

I refuse to be the lost of God’s tender touch.

Those whom I love, I reprove and chastise. Be earnest, therefore, and repent. Revelation 3:19

For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save what was lost. Luke 19:10

Revelation 3:1-6, 14-22, Psalm 15 & Luke 19:1-10

I am honored to be loved by a God Who seeks to reprove and chastise each and every one of His children as a method adhered to and recorded in His Holy Word. I know, a life surrendered to God seems a bit much in today’s society but the joy is unsurpassing to the death of everlasting hell you’ll feel by not giving your all to God.

I’ve been listening to “I Refuse” by Josh Wilson that rings in my heart the desire by God for us to do more but we are unwilling to help the least of these even though they call out more and more in today’s world of a lost society wanting excess and flesh.

The lyrics are:

Sometimes I
I just want to close my eyes
And act like everyone’s alright
When I know they’re not

This world needs God
But it’s easier to stand and watch
I could say a prayer and just move on
Like nothing’s wrong

I can hear the least of these
Crying out so desperately
And I know we are the hands and feet
Of You, oh God

So, if You say move
It’s time for me to follow through
And do what I was made to do
Show them who You are

‘Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care
I don’t want to say another empty prayer
Oh, I refuse

To sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself
Oh, I could choose
Not to move but I refuse

To stand and watch the weary and lost
Cry out for help
I refuse to turn my back
And try and act like all is well

I refuse to stay unchanged
To wait another day, to die to myself
I refuse to make one more excuse

‘Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care
I don’t want to say another empty prayer
Oh, I refuse

To sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself
Oh, I could choose
Not to move but I refuse

I refuse
I refuse

Let us pray: Dear God, we pray today to never refuse to act on Your Truth. Day three of a Novena of prayers for Bruce Wilson. We pray in Christ’s Risen Name indeed. Amen.

For God knows the faithful who win! Amen. “I hold this against you: you have lost the love you had at first. Realize how far you have fallen. Repent, and do the works you did at first.” Rev. 2:4-5b

Revelation 1:1-4; 2:1-5, Psalm 1 & Luke 18:35-43

The life of a Christian has its ups and downs but is promised something more than any other thing or possession we could fathom across the centuries of time; Eternal Life. The race is not how fast we can get to the finish line but how strong we can endure the trials and tribulations of life while we share the Way to Sin’s Forgiveness and Truth to live accepting faith, charity and love as the Divine Hope we seek in every instance our lives portray.

As I hung out with Mark, my oldest friend in the world, his 12-year-old son Austin and my 13-year-old son Jeffrey-Steven this past weekend, I shared with them the Walk God has instilled in my heart for the Truth His Son shared with humanity some 2000 years ago. I repeated the words “God Bless You” often as I engaged fans of a Gator Game along University Avenue, Veterans in and out of uniform as well as a man holding a sign that stated “Jesus Loves You.”

This love of Christ that directed my heart so much that I repent daily calling out to God in forgiveness, faith and favor to accomplish the Works he asks us all to do. I took them all into my place of Baptism of Saint Augustine kneeling in prayer along the front pew praying in thanksgiving aloud to encourage their trust in Him. The young man asked why I blessed myself with the water at the entrance taking mental notes he shared with me later.

The world around us has fallen so deep it appears we are lowering a rope of Salvation that is too short seemingly never reaching the bottom of a pit of secular hell. I for one do not believe this because the Rope of Salvation is Everlasting working as a tether to Truth no one can deny but many have turned their back on for as long as people have walked the earth. I remind us today that when we have “fallen,” we should get in repentance seeking to accomplish the Works Christ instills in each of our hearts. Amen.

Let us pray: Dear God, we pray today to pick ourselves up when we fall sharing the works of Truth repenting aloud seeking favor, fortitude and forgiveness. We pray a prayer of thanksgiving for my car’s alternator not dying until I drove into the driveway from a five-hour trip from Gainesville. A special birthday prayer for my mom Betty Jean Carter Wiggins Pitts. Happy Birthday! We pray in Christ’s Risen Name indeed. Amen.

Can you give everything to shine brightly like the splendor of the firmament? “Those with insight shall shine brightly like the splendor of the firmament, And those who lead the many to justice shall be like the stars forever. Some to everlasting life, others to reproach and everlasting disgrace.”Daniel 12:3, 2b

Wig’s Word of God Today 11-18-2012

Can you give everything to shine brightly like the splendor of the firmament?

Those with insight shall shine brightly like the splendor of the firmament, And those who lead the many to justice shall be like the stars forever. Some to everlasting life, others to reproach and everlasting disgrace. Daniel 12:3, 2b

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Mark 13:31

Daniel 12:1-3, Psalm 16, Hebrews 10:11-14, 18 & Mark 13:24-32

As presented above in Daniel’s verse three before verse 2, I feel a little backwards after I’m left in areas I’ve been before sharing Truth that separates you from the people you once thought you would live your life out with. What type of life that would have been evident in the welcome of foul language and the smell of alcohol blasting your senses with obvious disdain emanating from my retort. I have seen and heard amazing things in my return to my home spending time with my son and some old friends. The kind of friends you can call on to sleep in the warmth of love’s embrace across a living room floor in sleeping bags or on a couch without complaint.

Some as indicated above are still struggling with God’s Free Will of their own demise lost and lonely feeling despised. We are as the faithful Christ-believing God-fearing sect of society charged with leading the many to justice who may remain uneducated or mentally unwell from years of substance abuse. We will separate those who will live in “everlasting life” (from) “others to reproach and everlasting disgrace.” This is a duty we must remain faithful to even though we seem to be losing the battle struggling to make sense of the obvious lack of many people’s concerns.

Some of us will falter by the secular desires fanned in your presence but for those of us who remain persistent we will gain profit, perseverance and purpose established by God’s Divine Will of His Grace. His Word will not pass away and it will endure in our hearts forever if we would practice, pray and preach with diligence, determination and duty to Christ’s Salvation of Eternal Life. Will you help lead the many to justice no matter the cost? Can you give everything to “shine brightly like the splendor of the firmament?” Will you approach the unknown and pray openly with people in public?

You can find the time and place to do this by being open to God’s Will of prayer. I encounter it often by placing my prayerful thoughts out in front of me when checking out of a register or walking along the paths of a college football game. We see and happenstance people along the way that are aching for God as much as you are. The checkout clerk might have a gold Bible pendant around her neck prodding you to openly pray with them. Of course a man standing with a sign that says “Jesus Love You” would indulge you in open prayer. We must be always willing to “shine brightly like the splendor of the firmament.” Amen.

Let us pray: Dear LORD, we pray to shine brightly like the splendor of the firmament. We pray for help LORD. We pray for safe travels today. Thank you God. A Novena of prayers for Bruce Wilson. We pray in Christ’s Risen Name indeed. Amen.

Caught up with the decisions of tomorrow in persistence today? “When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?” Luke 18:8c

Wig’s Word of God Today 11-17-2012

Caught up with the decisions of tomorrow in persistence today?

When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth? Luke 18:8c

Third John 1:5-8, Psalm 112 & Luke 18:1-8

The Parable of the Persistent Widow described by Jesus as bothersome to the “dishonest judge” encouraging him to “deliver a just decision for her lest she finally come and strike” him sets to point God’s desire to see us tireless in our effort to live in His Spirit. The Spirit of Action developing the Spirit of Prayer acting on the Spirit of Truth. God wants us to be persistent as He reminds us today we can never give up His quest for humanity to live in His Salvation of love gesturing Truth in every movement across the plains of civilization.

We now see a divided America where the youth of today have caught up with the decisions of tomorrow and we must utilize every effort in our aching bones to share anything we may have jest in the past by not following God’s Way to lift them up in the cloud of Truth. We can’t stop saying, “Life begins at conception. God created everyone to pro create. His Word is unfailing.”

We must never stop praying for the world to know God’s love. Without failing because we know God is on our side. In death and life we must honor Him. “The LORD said, “Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says. Will not God then secure the rights of His chosen ones who call out to Him day and night? Will He be slow to answer them? I tell you, He will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?” Luke 18:6-8 Amen.

Let us pray: Dear LORD, we pray to remain persistent to share Your Truth. We pray LORD for good weather today here in Gainesville. Let my eyes and actions personify You LORD. God please help us. We pray in Thanksgiving for my friends Greg and Kim and Harley and Kathy. We pray in Christ’s Risen Name indeed. Amen.

Anyone who is so “progressive” as not to remain in the Teaching of the Christ does not have God; whoever remains in the Teaching has the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:9

Wig’s Word of God Today 11-16-2012

Remaining in the Father and Son we pray.

Anyone who is so “progressive” as not to remain in the Teaching of the Christ does not have God; whoever remains in the Teaching has the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:9

Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses it will save it. Luke 17:33

Second John 1:4-9, Psalm 119 & Luke 17:26-37

The other day I was going to feed our cats when I encountered a raccoon on our back porch lounging in a patio chase. The reaction of the critter stirred my emotions these past few days because it reminded me of when I was lost seeking to hide from anyone’s suspicions of being a sinner.

As the furry little guy walked away from me on the porch, he looked back at me in a nervous suspicious sort of way and disappeared out the cat door as fast as it could. How many of us can identify with the hidden shady parts of life where we hide our real intentions every time someone asked about our well-being or totally hid our alter lives due to shame and selfishness?

In today’s world, we are experiencing more and more the reality of the secular movement changing our minds, moods and moralities in every hidden corner of the world. What used to be obviously immoral has now become some sort of behavior we are supposed to embrace as “ok” drawing our minds and hearts away from Christ’s Teaching and into the hands of awaiting evils. I find it ironic that people call this type of truth “progressive” and “normal” when the outcome is anything but.

God reminds us today we cannot preserve our lives in sin but we can lose our life in Truth to save the soul by living in faith, hope and love. While God tells us not to judge others, He also tells us not condone the behavior of the sinner as goodness coming from God’s love. I will always love the sinner but hate the sin. We are to set the example of God’s Truth by our actions, attitudes and abominations we witness through prayer and dialogue not seeking to embrace the sin only cuddle the sinner. Amen.

Let us pray: Dear LORD, we pray today to remain in the Teaching of Your Son Christ Jesus. We pray LORD You will be a part of everything we do. We pray for travel plans today. God please help us. We pray for a Happy Birthday for my brother Chris Wiggins. We pray in Christ’s Risen Name indeed. Amen.

The Kingdom of God resides in everything we say. “No one will announce, ‘Look, here it is,’ or, ‘There it is.’ For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.” Luke 17:21

Philemon 1:7-20, Psalm 146 & Luke 17:20-25

Many a person has wondered what the Kingdom of God will be like willing to risk life’s calling on the desires of the heart excluding God’s Decrees as rubbish. What we fail to recognize is that Jesus reminded us the Kingdom of God is within us as the Gospel He preached and healings He performed are given to those who by faith work the same miracles He did by living in His love for everything you do. To be One with God instills in your heart the Unity God allows by living in faith, hope and love for His Truth to affect the world around you.

The Kingdom of God is a place of faith, hope and love to accomplish His Miracles of love for anyone you meet allowing a unified presence of charity instilling God’s amazing grace of peace. We can find His Truth in His Kingdom by living what we share. We will find His Truth in His Kingdom by seeking out the less fortunate to share more than just money or food but the real presence of the Kingdom of God in being present in a hug, a hand shake or a conversation of love and encouragement. “No one will announce, ‘Look, here it is,’ or, ‘There it is.’ For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.” Amen.

We ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, deluded, slaves to various desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful ourselves and hating one another. Titus 3:3

Wig’s Word of God Today 11-14-2012

Believe in God devoting themselves to good works.

We ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, deluded, slaves to various desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful ourselves and hating one another. Titus 3:3

Titus 3:1-7, Psalm 23 & Luke 17:11-19

The thoughtless acts of disrespects we lived not only to others but ourselves seemingly passed along without notice or worry until the day we too found God’s love more irresistible than the life we led in sorrow, silliness and sin. We would run until we were out of breath but slither back into the pain we cause ourselves as well as those closest to us before realizing we were chasing our tail like a dog on a hot Sunday afternoon. Our pleasures are short lived taking away the Truth God instills in all humanity to live in Communion with His love for order, organization and obligation to each other as Children of God.

 “This saying is trustworthy:

Advice to Titus. I want you to insist on these points, that those who have believed in God be careful to devote themselves to good works; these are excellent and beneficial to others. Avoid foolish arguments, genealogies, rivalries, and quarrels about the law, for they are useless and futile. After a first and second warning, break off contact with a heretic, realizing that such a person is perverted and sinful and stands self-condemned.” Titus 3:8-11

Let us pray: Dear LORD, we pray to devote ourselves to good works. We pray for guidance to keep us away from heretics. We pray in Christ’s Risen Name indeed. Amen.

For the grace of God has appeared, saving all and training us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live temperately, justly, and devoutly in this age, as we await the blessed hope, the appearance of the glory of the great God and of our savior Jesus Christ. Titus 2:11-13

Wig’s Word of God Today 11-13-2012

Living justly in hope rejecting godless ways.

For the grace of God has appeared, saving all and training us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live temperately, justly, and devoutly in this age, as we await the blessed hope, the appearance of the glory of the great God and of our savior Jesus Christ. Titus 2:11-13

Titus 2:1-14, Psalm 37 & Luke 17:7-10

How would you go about teaching the Christian life to complete strangers? Paul teaches Titus to reject “godless ways and worldly desires and to live temperately, justly, and devoutly.” He was instructed to motivate the people by evidence of works associated with their faith in God. Faith by works is pretty hard to disguise as selfish acts of greed for you give away your time, talent and treasure as acts of love.

We all want a better world and this my friends must start around you. We must act accordingly to the teachings of a person who wants more than ever to share the feeling of Salvation. The feeling of knowing God in every aspect of your life where the smile on your face is more than just a casual hello but the absolute desire to live as Child of God. We must live as we say we live in Christ to accomplish the Glory of God Himself. Amen.

Let us pray: Dear LORD, we pray to reject godless ways to live in hope for Christ Jesus.  We pray for Truth to be the center of life. We pray in Christ’s Risen Name indeed. Amen.
