He will glorify Me, since all He reveals to you will be taken from what is Mine. John 16:14

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-16-2012

Nor is He in need of anything, that He should be served by human hands; on the contrary, it is He Who gives everything — including life and breath — to everyone. Acts 17:25

He will glorify Me, since all He reveals to you will be taken from what is Mine. John 16:14

Acts 17:15, 22–18:1, Psalm 148 & John 16:12-15

As Paul walked around Athens, he discovers an altar with an inscription reading “to an unknown God.” Paul references this to the people when he discusses with them how they are to know God Who needs nothing from us for He IS everything around them providing for their needs including their own breath. “The God who made the world and all that is in it, the LORD of heaven and earth, does not dwell in sanctuaries made by human hands, nor is he served by human hands because He needs anything. Rather it is He Who gives to everyone life and breath and everything.” Acts 17:24-25

I think we seem to forget sometimes that we are not in control of the world around us and it is by His Hand that even the wind blows against your face. Jesus continues to remind us in John 16 that His Father’s Way is the Way of the Wind through the Holy Spirit Who represents everything God and Christ are when it comes to being One in the Spirit. The Holy Spirit will reveal the true nature of Christ by your practice, prayer and preaching. Everyday when you begin your Bible study allow the Spirit of Christ to come inside your heart where by the Spirit He will reveal to you the secrets of living a life in Christ.

There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t call out to the Holy Spirit in prayer to awaken my soul with the Breath of Life. I recite a Holy Spirit prayer that has evolved in the antiphons and hymns of every liturgical tradition, especially the Pentecost sequence. It goes like this, “Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth. Let us pray. O, God, who by the Light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolations, through Christ Our LORD, Amen.”

Dear Father in Heaven, we pray to lift our voices to the Holy Spirit in prayer to live in faith, charity and love. We pray for the sick, the lonely and the homeless of the world. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

There is much more to tell

The Spirit will eternally trace

What you can’t bear now from Me

Will come as the wind in your face

Not knowing falsehoods to see

He does not speak on His own

He only speaks what He hears

Declared to you as righteous tears

When He comes, He will show the world how wrong it was, about sin, and about Who was in the right, and about judgment: about sin: in that they refuse to believe in Me; about Who was in the right: in that I am going to the Father and you will see Me no more; about judgment: in that the Prince of this world is already condemned. John 16:8-11

Become a believer in the LORD Jesus, and you will be saved, and your household too. Then they preached the Word of the LORD to him and to all his household. Acts 16:31-32

Acts 16:22-34, Psalm 138 & John 16:5-11

Many of you can remember the date and time when you first received the LORD into your life. Maybe it was at a retreat or maybe it was the moment you decided to read your Bible one afternoon and the Word of God just seemed to make sense to you- as if God were speaking to you face-to-face. How many of you can stop and identify with complete certainty the moment you first felt the Holy Spirit guide you to accomplish God’s Will in your life?

Maybe you heard God speaking to you as if you were a little child who was eager to soak up anything God had to tell you. Once you’ve felt His Presence, you’ll do anything in your power to feel His Spirit again and again and again. Just as Paul told the prison guard, “Become a believer in the LORD Jesus, and you will be saved” and the Holy Spirit will come upon you in your belief to lead you to live God’s Will.

Yes, there must be deliberate action from you to practice, pray and preach. His Spirit will come upon you like a wave along the ocean’s shore and lift you to a height that you can see His Truth instilling in you the same rush as if you were riding the face of that wave like a pro surfer in California Surf Contest. Once you come down you’ll search for God’s Perfect Wave of Spirit every single day of your life. He will come upon you in a moments notice nurturing your love of Christ to become One in His Truth.

Once you lose your fright of being a Jesus Freak, the Holy Spirit will embrace numerous times in a day. Many of these times you’ll be by yourself praying alone and His Truth will illuminate anything that is covered in darkness. The Light of Christ hovers over you like a Beacon to gather the lost, lonely and afraid and it will be up to you to allow the Holy Spirit to bring the Good News of Christ’s Salvation with anyone, anywhere and at anytime. Amen.

Dear LORD, we pray to always be a believer who seeks the counsel of the Holy Spirit to accomplish Your Will LORD. We pray in silence of our own hearts… the greatest intention of our hearts desire. We pray for the Spiritual Counselship I give to anyone I study Your Truth with. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers. Acts 1:14

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-14-2012

When they entered the city they went to the upper room where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers. Acts 1:13-14

Acts 1:13-26, Psalm 113 & John 15:9-17

The first real Christian Community of Jerusalem returns from the Mount of Olivet after watching Jesus Ascend to Heaven huddling together in the Upper Room where they had been staying. They are frightened and concerned for their lives but insistent on replacing Judas who had betrayed Jesus to complete the original 12 Apostles of Christ. Many Biblical Scholars equate this to the 12 Tribes of Israel but nonetheless they choose a successor to Judas by casting lots, which was some sort of voting process.

So they proposed two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also known as Justus, and Matthias. Then they prayed, “You, LORD, Who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen to take the place in this apostolic ministry from which Judas turned away to go to his own place.” Then they gave lots to them, and the lot fell upon Matthias, and he was counted with the eleven apostles.” Acts 1:23-26

What is very significant here is the fact they point out the Apostles devoted their life with One Accord to prayer inviting not only the mother of Jesus but also other women as well to “be My (Jesus) witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Of course this One Accord is the Truth Jesus shared with them in His Good News to become one day the New Testament that we relish as our guide to life today. The devotion to prayer is essential to anyone’s ministry in Christ. It is not a morning, noon or night timeframe but a nonstop sequence of thoughts directed to the Father to see His Glory being fulfilled.

Very early on in the Christian Church many realized the Name of Jesus invoked a Power by which they would be energized. Paul had pointed out in Philippians 2:10 that the very “Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” Many have used the Jesus prayer for hundreds of years. A simple prayer invoking the Name of Jesus to guide their daily thoughts and actions. It goes like this, “O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.”

Paul describes in One Thessalonians 5:16-20 a practice we should all invoke everyday of our lives and that’s to pray unceasingly rejoicing always never despising prophetic utterances. In other words, rejoice in praying unceasingly for this is the Will of God for you in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the Will of God for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophetic utterances.”

Dear LORD above, we pray to devote ourselves to a life of unceasing prayer to accomplish Your Will LORD in Christ Jesus. We pray in silence of our own hearts… the greatest intention of our hearts desire. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Could anyone refuse the water of baptism to these people, now they have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? Acts 10:47

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-13-2012

Could anyone refuse the water of baptism to these people, now they have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? Acts 10:47

Love consists in this: it is not we who loved God, but God loved us and sent His Son to expiate our sins. First John 4:10

No one can have greater love than to lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Acts 10:25-48, Psalm 98, First John 4:7-10 & John 15:9-17

We learn today in Acts the Truth of living, teaching and giving of Christ’s Salvation is not up to mortal man to give but freely given to ALL humanity as Divinely Designed by God Himself. There is nobody in this all-inclusive life that can bar anyone from receiving the cleansing of the Baptismal waters commanded by Christ as the process of eliminating the sin that fouls up the world.

What a beautiful understanding Peter exclaimed to the small group of men in the house of Cornelius in Acts 10:34-35; “In truth, I see that God shows no partiality. Rather, in every nation whoever fears Him and acts uprightly is acceptable to Him.” Many may say, “Why should man fear God?” Without fear of God’s Omnipotence as the Universe’s Creator then you are not giving God the reverence, respect and regard that He is the Judge of all seen and unseen.

How wonderful it is to obey the fright as obedience to love in Christ. Give everything you do in thought, word and deed to feel a complete spiritual communion with the submission you comply with across every plane the universe provides. Peer into life as kids in a playground avoiding the pang of guilt in attempting to figure life out on your own. To obey is to see life more clearly eliminating the guilty conscience of Satan’s despair. Imagine you are to love as a child would in every amazing encounter with another child: approachable amicable adoration.

Be constantly aware of His presence in every corner of your life. When you can see past each corner into an ocean of wonderful simplistic love, then you have intertwined the obedience to faith, charity and love provoking the obedience to sharing Christ’s Salvation. You begin to as Christ describes to lay your life down for your friends wanting to share and experience the Redemption of Christ. To give your life for others is God’s greatest commandment to live invoking His Spirit each step of the Way. For “no one can have greater love than to lay down his life for his friends” Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, we pray to share the Baptismal fonts of Christ’s Redemption to anyone, anytime and anywhere. I pray for peace in the hearts of those who mean the most to me. We pray in silence of our own hearts… the greatest intention of our hearts desire. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Falling at his feet

Peter said stand up and be heard

I too am a human being

Acceptable as a squawking bird

Seek not what is of earth

Seek only Heaven’s space

Every nation can find His reward

Acting upright shows fear of Him

He will accept you for trying

By giving up a despicable life of sin

Peter spoke with such thunder

The Holy Spirit entered them all

Peter spoke the Word of the LORD

Astounded Gentiles also received the call

Speaking in tongues and glorifying God

Circumcised believers knew no one could withhold

The Baptismal waters of sinful cleansing

All in the Name of Jesus Christ the Mold

Convinced that God had called us to bring them the Good News. Acts 16:10b

If the world hates you, you must realize that it hated Me before it hated you. John 15:18

Acts 16:1-10, Psalm 100 & John 15:18-21

Today we celebrate a milestone in our family as my oldest child and only girl graduates from Medical School. This amazing young lady has pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor as far back as I can remember. I’ll never forget taking a 21 hour drive to Boston to move her back to Florida her first year in college. I’ll never forget the time she threw up in my face as I played with her as a baby holding her in my arms high above my head.

One day I pray we sit and talk about her journey to become reacquainted after she gets married and begins her training to become a pediatrician. One week from tomorrow my little girl gets married and all of her dreams will have come true. I am so proud of her for she has never let any obstacles remain in her way to accomplish her goals. Today we raise our prayers for you Alexandra Maria Wiggins. God Bless you and your journey into pediatric medicine.

I’ll keep on studying the Good News to accomplish the Will of God in my life. I will always place God first for I know everything else will fall into place by His Will to live for His Glory. Today I hold on to the Good News of Christ Jesus no matter what hate or discontent I may find in the world. I seek only to live for His Truth and I will accomplish everything I do in His Name. I will practice, pray and preach to live in His Truth as a man of God who wants nothing more than to see God’s Will to reign. Amen.

Dear LORD, we pray to always share the Good News with anyone in need. I pray for my children Alexandra, Allen, Jeff, Julian, and Gabriel. I pray for peace in the hearts of those who mean the most to me. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Seeking to put life to the test

Knowing hard work can’t be shelved

She deserves all she wants to be felt

My Precious little girl gets all she deserved

Locked in my heart her smell reserved

My soul cries out to God to be observed

Who have committed their lives to the Name of our LORD Jesus Christ. Acts 15:26

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-11-2012

Who have committed their lives to the Name of our LORD Jesus Christ. Acts 15:26

This is My Commandment: love one another, as I have loved you. John 15:12

Acts 15:22-31, Psalm 57 & John 15:12-17

My beautiful wife Toni once gave me a sticky note I placed above my head where I write that reads “It is better to have the whole world against me than to deny God.” Jesus reminds us many times in the New Testament that our love of His Truth and surrender to His Way of living will pit father against son and mother against daughter (see Luke 12:53 and Matthew 10:35). People who have committed their lives to the Name of our LORD Jesus Christ are experiencing all sorts of secular disagreements about how and why we are supposed to live our lives.

We have affirmed our commitment in Christ by our daily walk of faith, hope and love. We live in faith God above has washed away our sins by the Blood of His Son Jesus when they nailed Him to the Cross of Salvation. We provide hope for the confused at heart, the lonely and sick and the homeless and hungry people of the world. We live to provide Christ’s love of any of these but we will not compromise our God given ideals that commits us to His Truth.

The secular world of perversion, lust and greed wants us to accept the liberal idea of agreeing with homosexual marriage stating in some cases Jesus wants us to love each other as He has loved us. Therefore, I shall, I will love all humanity as Christ has loved us and I will continue to pray for the sinners of the world to find true conversion. I will not agree with the secular world of perversion. I will pray for their healing because I have committed my life to the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

If it is displeasing to you to serve the LORD, choose today whom you will serve. As for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15a/c “You may not be able to serve the LORD, for He is a Holy God; He is a passionate God Who will not forgive your transgressions or your sins. If you forsake the LORD and serve strange gods, He will then do evil to you and destroy you, after having done you good.” Joshua 24:19-20

Dear LORD, we pray to always be committed to Your Son’s Truth. I pray for my children. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God, Who can read everyone’s heart, showed His approval of them by giving the Holy Spirit to them just as He had to us. God made no distinction between them and us, since He purified their hearts by faith. Acts 15:8-9

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-10-2012

God, Who can read everyone’s heart, showed His approval of them by giving the Holy Spirit to them just as He had to us. God made no distinction between them and us, since He purified their hearts by faith. Acts 15:8-9

I have told you this so that My own joy may be in you and your joy be complete. John 15:11

Acts 15:7-21, Psalm 96 & John 15:9-11

The Council of Jerusalem brought about a great testimony by Paul and Barnabas to establish amongst the Jews an understanding that God “made no distinction between us and them, for by faith He purified their hearts” for “we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they.” The Disciples had proved their cause and decided not to force the Gentiles to observe Mosaic Law of circumcision establishing instead a group of representatives to take a written confirmation back to the Gentiles in Antioch.

“It is the decision of the Holy Spirit and of us not to place on you any burden beyond these necessities, namely, to abstain from meat sacrificed to idols, from blood, from meats of strangled animals, and from unlawful marriage. If you keep free of these, you will be doing what is right.” Acts 15:28-29

Today, we find ourselves bickering about God’s Divine Plan for humanity from one nation to the next trying to force the thoughts and ideals of other beliefs down the throats of people who believe in one religion or another. I find comfort in knowing our God through His Word teaches us to not judge the ideals of people who live their lives in complete denial of Christ’s Truth and I implore you all to heed Matthew 7:1 while continuing to pray for the lost and confused of the world.

Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.” Matthew 7:1-2

Dear God, we pray to allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in our thoughts, actions and deeds. I pray for my children. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

You are clean already, by means of the Word that I have spoken to you. John 15:3

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-9-2012

You are clean already, by means of the Word that I have spoken to you. John 15:3

Acts 15:1-6, Psalm 122 & John 15:1-8

There is only one Way to remain clean and that’s by living in a complete surrender to Christ’s Eternal Redemption Words abiding by His Truth in thoughts, action and deed. Jesus describes the cleanliness they have already received by remaining in Him as He is the True Vine that offers life everlasting. “Remain in me, as I in you. As a branch cannot bear fruit all by itself, unless it remains part of the vine, neither can you unless you remain in Me. I am the Vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in Me, with Me in him, bears fruit in plenty; for cut off from Me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5

While my arm continues to ache in a healing process, I am reminded how beautiful the silence is by writing in thoughts instead of writing aloud through a program that types for you. I mentioned yesterday to a Brother in Christ how I like the quietness of writing without spoken words. There seems to be a connection there in the Spirit. The lived Will of God takes us through pain and gain. Where there is pain, there is gain too in the midst of muscular, ego and life pain.

It’s easier said than done to follow Proverbs 3:6, “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” In this, we become scared of an outcome instead of living in His income. Here we find an income where money has no worth and the value cannot be measured. We move forward in faith, seeking not our own pleasures but that of God’s Will ensuring a child a smile in times of excess and sin. Amen.

Dear LORD, we pray to acknowledge our cleanliness in all our ways of living for Your glory LORD. I pray for my children. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. John 14:27

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-8-2012

With prayer and fasting they commended them to the LORD in whom they had come to believe. Acts 14:23b

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. John 14:27

Acts 14:19-28, Psalm 145 & John 14:27-31

Our passage in Acts today describes Paul being stoned and dragged out of the city where the Disciples think he is dead but he gets up and goes with them back into the city. In the Free Will of God’s Divine Plan for Paul, he learns to offer up prayer and fasting to not only teach the Good News but to overcome mistake, hardships and confusion. Paul realized that “it is necessary for us to undergo many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.”

We all make mistakes we are trying to overcome as we grow in age and wisdom where we experience things that we ultimately regret. These can range from the smallest of mistakes to the largest of sins where we let on ego get in the way and forget to put God first. By trusting in Christ’s own words of peace, we can learn to overcome even the least bit of fright or troubles learning as we grow to replace anger with reconciliation.

Take my mistake last week of being frustrated with a piece of lawn equipment. As I finished some lawn work, I pulled out my leaf blower and tried to crank it up. It wouldn’t start for nothing. Instead of just putting it down, I let anger get in my way and pulled it countless times in about a five-minute span. My anger caused me to tear a muscle in my right forearm causing seven days later a trip to the Emergency Room after two sleepless nights of sever aching pain to be relieved. As my arm continues to throb today and pain meds made me sleep in a state of recovery past my normal writing times, I encourage you all to learn from the mistake of anger and let Christ’s Peace control your world. Amen.

Dear LORD, we pray to replace our anger with Your Son’s Peace and healing. We pray for my children. I pray a prayer of thanksgiving for Father Paul’s genuine concern and friendship. I pray a prayer of help LORD to allow me fast healing in my arm. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

They preached the good news. Acts 14:7

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-7-2012

They preached the good news. Acts 14:7

Anyone who loves Me will keep My Word, and My Father will love him, and We shall come to him and make a home in him. The Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you. John 14:23/26

Acts 14:5-18, Psalm 115 & John 14:21-26

Acts 14:7 is one verse- One Truth, “They preached the Good News.” God makes it so simple sometimes yet so full of life to evolve our surrender to finding the strength through the Holy Spirit to simply preach the Good News. It’s not very complicated but just in case you find your memory lapsing the Holy Spirit will guide you to include everything God expects you to say to anyone, anytime and anywhere. You just have to trust His guidance in by your practice, prayer and preaching.

What seems so difficult today will transpire to ease and enjoyment tomorrow as you find yourself talking more and more about God to family, friends and strangers alike. Allow God to use you in sharing His Good News of life to a mother in need. Seek out the man who has nothing and see the eyes of Christ in his simpleness. Somewhere in your neighborhood or home surroundings is an elderly man or woman who has need of hearing the Good News by your actions of faith, hope and love. Preaching the Good News is more than words, it is a commitment to being a person of God in deed as well as words. Amen.

Dear LORD, we pray to preach the Good News by the Fire of the Holy Spirit in our heart. We pray for my children. We pray You never relieve the burning sensation in the center of our hearts to live only for You. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Keep my Decrees

Observe to be free

Life void of sins deed

The one who lives to loves Me

The Father will show you

His love so true

By the love of Christ’s Truth

For humanity to prove

By keeping His Word

The Christ will enjoy

Sharing you with His Father

Nothing He will avoid

He will dwell in you

Just as I do

My Words are His

The Fathers Eternal food

For the Words are not mine

My Fathers so Divine

The Advocate to remind

Teaching everything I told you to find
