Whoever wishes to come after Me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. Matthew 16:24b

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-5-2011

Did a people ever hear the voice of God speaking from the midst of fire, as you did, and live? Deuteronomy 4:33

Whoever wishes to come after Me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. Matthew 16:24b

Deuteronomy 4:32-40, Psalm 77 & Matthew 16:24-28

It’s amazing how quickly people forget what God does by His blessings. The People of Israel were taken out of Egypt by the grace of God yet they still have to be reminded by Moses what God had done for them. I’m sure the same has happened in your life when things seemed to be going so well and then God removes something from your grasp because of your selfish living. God expects a complete surrender from His people in obedience, loyalty and love and His grace has a way of falling away from you when your selfish needs get in the way of your moment-by-moment loyalty. Be loyal moment-by-moment not day-by-day.

Jesus expressed the same thing when He exclaimed; “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” Matthew 16:25 By your complete surrender to His Truth you become obedient to His Word displaying a loyalty and love in everything you do in your life. Jesus cited this love of God as “the greatest and the first commandment,” embracing in itself the whole law of God. When you deny yourself and take up His Cross, you seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His love.

This is why I urge each of us to do more. To be actively seeking to share His Good News in word, in example and in deed. This is why I give examples of this from my experiences with people everyday. I’ve found people are drawn to me because of my outward displays of carrying His Cross. From a lady seeing my Cross on my neck to homeless people sitting in a slump by a store seeing my shirt that says, “I love Jesus,” they all need to hear the Good News in word, action and deed. The lady I speak of noticed my Cross in a Chinese buffet in Orlando last Sunday who ended up praying with me, a complete stranger, by holding hands. Yesterday, I fed three homeless men where one jumped up and hugged me because I shared a meal and prayed with them. Can you hug a complete stranger for Christ? I ask you: Are you denying yourself for the Glory of God? Do more, pick up His Cross and share His Truth by faith in action, charity by example and love in deed.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to always carry Your Son’s Cross with patience, confidence and love. We pray today for healing and peace of Kelly, Alexandra, Jayson and Kevin. LORD, we pray for the three homeless men I met yesterday. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ our LORD and Savior. Amen.

Who do people say that the Son of Man is? Matthew 16:13c

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-4-2011

Who do people say that the Son of Man is? Matthew 16:13c

Numbers 20:1-13, Psalm 95 & Matthew 16:13-23

When people ask you, “Who is Jesus?” what do you say? Do you say He is God? Do you say He is God’s Son? What do you say? For in Jesus Christ we have been given a choice to know the Father and by accepting His Choice we are afforded Eternal Life. When people ask me why I love Jesus so much I simply explain that I desire to live in Truth rather than in deception. I’d rather live in love than in hate. I’d rather live in peace than in turmoil. I’d rather live knowing I will go to heaven by accepting His Redemption rather than spurning it. Why do you love Jesus? Who do you say Jesus is?

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to always know Jesus and to share His Truth forever more. We pray for healing and peace of Kelly, Alexandra, Jeff, Jayson and all those who are searching to know who Jesus Christ is. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

LORD, help me. Matthew 15:25c

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-3-2011

LORD, help me. Matthew 15:25c

Numbers 13 & 14, Psalm 106 & Matthew 15:21-28

Sometimes in life it seems no matter what we get we are never satisfied. The LORD set upon the land of Israel a homeland for all the Tribes but fear and grumbling once again sets in and the LORD has had enough. God simply wants us to trust Him with everything in our lives just as He wanted the Israelites to trust Him when He was establishing their new home. A trust we must all carry to accomplish the Will of God.

This Trust was evident in Jesus’ healings for Jesus Himself often stated “your faith has saved you” granting healing to those who faithfully served His Father’s Glory. The diligence and faith of the woman saved her child from a life of torment. There is always a time when we simply have to call out to God and say “LORD, help me” to bring our surrender into focus and allow our Trust in God’s Divine Plan work for each of us.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray to always ask for Your help when we needed and to be satisfied with our abilities to Glorify You. We pray for healing and peace of Kelly, Jayson, Alexandra and Jeff. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

If a blind person leads a blind person, both will fall into a pit. Matthew 15:13b

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-2-2011
You insist on sincerity of heart; in my inmost being teach me wisdom. Psalm 51:8
If a blind person leads a blind person, both will fall into a pit. Matthew 15:13b
Numbers 12:1-13, Psalm 51 & Matthew 15: 1-14
In the silence of my mind God’s Word repeatsin my inmost being teach me wisdom, in my inmost being teach me wisdom, in my inmost being teach me wisdom.” In the Psalms I search for the Divine Guidance of my faith, my charity and my love to accomplish His Will. This seems so personal yet you seemingly begin to want to share His Gospel with complete strangers. It’s hard to walk by somebody without saying God Bless YOU. It’s not done in arrogance it’s done in joy.  You begin to live your life as an intercessor to Glorify God, His Son and His Spirit. Welcoming people to the LORD’s endless love and powerful peace. The Trifecta of forgiveness, guidance and more forgiveness. You might think; “Will He take me back after I did…?” Will you say, “I’m sorry LORD. Please forgive me. I will live for You.” ?
You cannot get there by someone blind to the joys of His Word, His Action and His Protection. You can only find Truth from Truth. You must begin in His Word by study, share and prayer. The only way to share the message is to deliver the Word in conversation, life’s decisions and in deeds initiating in prayer gaining atonement with the LORD. The Pit of Life offers indulgence beyond your wildest imagination of sinful thoughts where the blind grope themselves to evil heights of death’s darkest doom. We are charged by God to help even those who are blind and stuck in Satan’s pit. We have to lean over and make an effort to grab a hand or two welcoming them into our arms of love living forgiveness. Hold them. Share His Word with them. Pray with them and one day you’ll proclaim with them. Amen!
So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray You teach us wisdom from reading Your Word. We pray we can lead the blind to see your Truth. We pray for Kelly, Edith,  A. Ray, Cindy, mi esposa Toni, Alexandra and Jason. We pray for special intentions for Kairos Prison Ministry. We pray all in Your Name. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

O you of little faith, why did you doubt? Matthew 14:31c

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-1-2011

O you of little faith, why did you doubt? Matthew 14:31c

Numbers 11:4b-15, Psalm 81 & Matthew 14:22-36

When we doubt, life will consume us. When we have faith, life will contain us. As the people drew out of Egypt they became consumed with doubt as the manna became old and the desire to eat flesh was upon their carnivoristic lips. “The children of Israel lamented, “Would that we had meat for food!” Numbers 11:4 The doubt consumed their hearts complaining to Moses and the LORD. Moses became a leader that was tired to say the least asking God, “Why are you so displeased with me that you burden me with all this people?”

God provided instructing Moses to bring about 70 Elders who the LORD would bestow the ability to council the people. “I will also take some of the spirit that is on you and will bestow it on them, that they may share the burden of the people with you. You will then not have to bear it by yourself.” Numbers 11:17 The LORD contained their doubt and consumed their complaining and greed. We expect too much too quick with dreadful consequences not being satisfied with our God-given providences.

Learning to have faith is an every day thing of habit becoming desire void of logic. When you desire to please yourself, you instill your logic into your life’s desires expelling God from every step and every corner of your life. When you desire to please God, you draw Him close by separating logic from your actions and remain in constant communal faith living by His Word in prayer to evangelize and share. A faith people can see. A faith people can hear. A faith people can taste. A faith people can feel by the Power of the Holy Spirit. A faith people can smell in a rainy afternoon steam. Faith to share His Truth. The Love to Love for all time. While I believe we crave His Truth, I also believe we doubt His Strength in His Truth. We, humanity, want God to prove something. Show His face and flick a car into space. Yet, He is already here. In your breath. In your tongue. In your fingers. In your nose. You see Him in everything and yet you still want Him to prove something. “O, you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today for faith in You LORD Who we can hear, taste, feel, smell and see in every aspect of our lives.  We seek healing and peace in prayer for Kelly, Jason, Alex, Allen, Jeff, Julian and Gabriel. I pray for my wife Toni. xoxoxo LORD, we pray we live in Truth to accomplish Your Will. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

What will separate us from the love of Christ? Romans 8:35a

Wig’s Word of God Today 7-31-2011

Listen, that you may have life. Isaiah 55:3b-c

What will separate us from the love of Christ? Romans 8:35a

Isaiah 55:1-3, Psalm 145, Romans 8:35-39 & Matthew 14:13-21

The Will of God gives mankind the ability by Free Will to defile one’s mind, one’s words and one’s actions producing a smoke screen of separation from God, His Son and the Holy Spirit. Yes, a smokescreen, for God tells us nothing will come between His presence in our soul and anything of the world. He dwells in us all giving unprecedented faith, courage and desire to face life with God’s Guarantee. Do you have G.G.? God exclaims: “Listen, that you may have life. Isaiah 55:3b-c

When you read or listen to the Word of God aloud you hear the Words of Life give you detailed instructions on how to live by His Guarantee. Even in the times of chaos from psychological, physical and personal reasons, God tells us His Son’s Redemption keeps you as One with His Will. One with His Truth. One with Him. There is no separation only His Free Will to live Smoke Free. Free from the smokescreens of life allowing His Will to envelope you. Can you say God’s Will envelopes you?  As Paul teaches us in Romans: “No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through Him Who loved us.” Romans 8:37

It’s conquering the fear associated with sharing His Truth in words, action and deed that prohibits true evangelization to happen in our lives. Could you imagine what would happen if everyone began greeting each other in Psalms and Scripture teachings? What if we began actively seeking to help one person every week of our lives? Can you talk to strangers about Jesus Christ? Can you talk to friends about Jesus Christ? Can you conquer fear by His love? There are stories in your life God has yet to share with you. Nothing can separate you from living them but you.

So we ask in prayer: Dear Father, we pray today to always listen to Your Word learning how to share It with confidence. We pray today for continued healing, protection and peace of Kelly, Jason, Augie, Alex and Jeff. We pray all this in the Name of Christ Jesus our LORD. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

This Man is John the Baptist. He has been raised from the dead; that is why mighty powers are at work in Him. Matthew 14:2

Wig’s Word of God Today 7-30-2011

This Man is John the Baptist. He has been raised from the dead; that is why mighty powers are at work in Him. Matthew 14:2

Leviticus 25:1, 8-17, Psalm 67 & Matthew 14:1-12

Herod Antipas the son of the Herod the Great was known as tetrarch; the ruler of the fourth part for having received one quarter of his father’s land. By all accounts he seems interested in the Works of God but is unwilling to accept the Word of God’s guidance as it is written in Leviticus 18:16 because Herod had relations with his brother’s sister. This Scripture verse is the reason John the Baptist was placed in prison to ultimately die from beheading at the request of a dancing little girl. As Herod stated in Matthew 14:2, Herod thought Jesus was John raised from the dead performing acts of healing. Isn’t it like anyone to come to a source because they want share in their miracles or tricks as many would call them?

One doesn’t have to go far to find people doing tricks all around you but to find miracles you have to create them on your own and share God’s Truth of faith, charity and love allowing you to experience God’s Mighty Powers at work. You’ll see them in a smile from a child in need. You’ll see them in a parent whose willing to bleed. You’ll see them in the elderly from tears of Christ’s release. You’ll see them in dying from the look of Christ’s peace. His Mighty Powers are at work in you now and all you have to do is ask God how. He will teach you and guide you to His Word for Truth to say; “Christ is the Truth for Eternal Life to stay.” Seeking His Work is more fulfilling than selfish acts of greed. Seek out a person whose life is in need. In need of God’s faith. In need of God’s love. In need of God’s charity searching from Heaven above. Get to know His Mighty Powers of Deed.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today for Your Mighty Powers to always be at work in us to live for Your Will LORD.  We pray for Kelly, Jason, Adam, Bruce and Alexandra too. We pray for everybody whose life is in need of You. We pray for peace and joy for knowing Your Love. We pray this in the Name of Jesus Who sits with You LORD in Heaven above. Amen.

I am the Resurrection and the Life; whoever believes in Me, even if he dies, will live

Wig’s Word of God Today 7-29-2011

I am the Resurrection and the Life; whoever believes in Me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. John 11: 25-26

Leviticus 23, Psalm 81 & John 11:19-27

Everyday I try and write what the LORD is leading to share in brevity. Something short yet meaningful that has an impact on our lives and represents His Truth; God’s Truth. When I live in Christ Jesus, my surrender to His Way affords me an Eternal Life and that alone brings true peace of faith, charity and love. Martha and Mary were obviously upset over the passing of their brother Lazarus but they both knew that if only Jesus was here Lazarus would surely live.

Martha goes to Jesus when she hears He is coming and exclaims “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You. ”Martha believed Jesus was the Son of God and whatever He asked of the Father the Father would give Him. Jesus simply said to her, “Your brother will rise.” He comforted her with words of faith that at first she didn’t understand but Jesus went further and explained.  “I am the Resurrection and the Life; whoever believes in Me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.”

Jesus is the Way in life and death. By loving your love of His Truth you will too will live forever in His Truth. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today for the belief to give us Eternal Life. We pray for the continued healing of Kelly, Jason and anyone else who loves you and wants t understand Your love. We ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

“Do you understand all these things?” They answered, “Yes.” Matthew 13:51

Wig’s Word of God Today 7-28-2011

The glory of the LORD filled the Dwelling. Exodus 40:34b

My heart and flesh cry out for the Living God. Psalm 84:3b

“Do you understand all these things?” They answered, “Yes.” Matthew 13:51

Exodus 40:16-21, 34-38, Psalm 84 & Matthew 13:47-53

I wonder some times if people feel the Glory of the LORD the same way I do. You know that down right dwelling in the soul feeling? Every step of the way feeling? Yes, I feel and experience everything you do; fright, jealously and anger but I always want to shower it (life) with God. He can and will fill you with His Glory every moment of every day. You must simply let your heart and flesh-your soul, cry out and be filled the Glory of the LORD. The Living God Who drives you to hold hands with complete strangers to hugging an 84-year-old woman in tears from the LORD’s Glory; His Glory is your testimony to His Truth living a life of living for His Truth.

The Disciples wanted to know they understood His Truth and asked Him to explain sometimes His meaning. When they said yes, they said yes to His Way of Salvation establishing a foundation the Church dwells on today. They said yes to teach something people said they couldn’t see yet many of us today feel, know and see it in people every day of our lives. I see the eyes of Jesus in the young and the old and I know they are craving for Truth. I hold their hands and pray aloud in public to be a vessel of His Truth. I know His Truth in the people I live my life for.  “Do you understand all these things?”

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, We pray you dwell in us always. In sickness to heal us. In health to teach us to live for Your Truth. We pray today for Jason Bailey and his healing and peace. We pray for Kelly Layfield and I’m pulling for you to call me when you are ready to say hi and pray together, Ok? We ask for Your help LORD, our country, our world is in need. We ask this in Jesus Name. Amen

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. Matthew 13:43a

Wig’s Word of God Today 7-27-2011

The skin of his face had become radiant while he conversed with the LORD. Exodus 34:29b

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Matthew 13:43a

Exodus 34:29-35, Psalm 99 & Matthew 13:44-46

I have spent the last two days shinning like Moses helping an old friend run some errands and move in Gainesville. We’ve had a lot of opportunity to talk and interact as we drove around.  I lived life as I would any day at in any place at any time; to serve the LORD. As we parted yesterday, he thanked me for helping him and commented about how I react to everyday things with prayer and reverence for God. “You say ‘Thank You Jesus’ a lot. Smiling as he continued, “even for parking spaces. And how you talked to that homeless guy. You made him feel loved. Your face is different. Man, you have taught me so much in such a little time. I want what you have.” The LORD has a way of using Scripture you have been studying with people you interact with saying to my friend, “Kind of like Moses coming down from the mountain-radiating God’s faith, charity and love.”

Do you ever feel like you radiate God’s love? Sometimes it seems we just go through life not sharing love but fulfilling a selfish need. There are so many people who need to be shown the example of how to sow good seed and there are so many ways to go about it. Jesus tells us that “the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father” by your walk and your talk. Your walk is the action of everything you do and how you do it. Do you ask the LORD for guidance every step of the way? “Dear LORD, guide me to accomplish Your Will.” Your talk is the sharing of God’s Word from your study and should be used for every little situation to shed Light on greed, hate, lust and forgiveness.

People will react to hearing God’s Truth from His Word differently. An example might be 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, “Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor boy prostitutes nor sodomites nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.”  Or “’You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.” Matthew 25:43-44 In your actions search out different ways of helping the elderly, the hungry or the lost by making a commitment to carry God’s Shinning Light in your thoughts, your words and your action.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today our lives represent the Light of Your Son shinning across our faces. We pray we are always thankful for Your Truth. We pray we can make a difference by our commitment to carry His Light of Truth. We pray for Kelly’s continued healing. We also pray for a guy named Jason I met and prayed with who is undergoing chemo therapy next week. We pray this in Jesus Name. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,
