In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-6-2011

In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world. John 16:33b

Acts 19:1-8, Psalm 68 & John 16: 29-33

Paul is traveling through Ephesus and comes across some followers of Jesus and asks: “Did you receive the holy Spirit when you became believers?” They answered him, “We have never even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” Acts 19:2 He advises them that being Baptized by John was done with water but to truly follow the Christ you must be Baptized in His Name and be Baptized in Spirit by the laying of hands. After Paul Baptizes them in the Name of Jesus and lay hands on them, they go about speaking in tongues and praising God.

I have many family members in Georgia who are ministers or strong followers of Jesus Christ and I am reminded of them when I read about speaking in tongues because I have witness many a tongue speaker when I have attended a service with them or attended a funeral. Once my uncle passed away who was a preacher and it seemed every preacher from miles around had attended his funeral. I sat and listened to one after the other rise and speak in words I have never heard before yet one of my uncles would rise and begin speaking clearly Scripture versus as they were talking. I mentioned to him afterwards his beautiful words I enjoyed understanding and my aunt spoke up and said he had the gift of tongue translation. My uncle was translating the speaking of tongues the ministers were speaking and I could feel the Holy Spirit there as the hairs of my body tingled.

My wife and I watched a special about the Russian writer Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn who was imprisoned during the World War II after being a decorated war hero for writing his college friend and telling him his distain for the Soviet Leader Joseph Stalin. After years of torture and imprisonment, he became many would agree as the man who help tear down the Soviet Communist Empire by his writings. I mention him today because his literary work was based upon what he called living the Truth in God. Jesus tells us today in John 16:33 that “in the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world” and this man used his faith in Christ to ultimately overcome communism, imprisonment and cancer.

He once was asked to give the commencement speech at Harvard University and by people’s opinion he slapped America in the face by his blunt speaking of the Truth. Here is a small yet important piece of this Truth that even Dan Rather said later was very important for every American to hear and learn by.

Hastiness and superficiality are the psychic disease of the 20th century and more than anywhere else this disease is reflected in the press. Such as it is, however, the press has become the greatest power within the Western countries, more powerful than the legislative power, the executive, and the judiciary.” “If humanism were right in declaring that man is born only to be happy, he would not be born to die. Since his body is doomed to die, his task on earth evidently must be of a more spiritual nature. It cannot be unrestrained enjoyment of everyday life. It cannot be the search for the best ways to obtain material goods and then cheerfully get the most of them. It has to be the fulfillment of a permanent, earnest duty so that one’s life journey may become an experience of moral growth, so that one may leave life a better human being than one started it. It is imperative to review the table of widespread human values. Its present incorrectness is astounding. It is not possible that assessment of the President’s performance be reduced to the question how much money one makes or of unlimited availability of gasoline. Only voluntary, inspired self-restraint can raise man above the world stream of materialism.”

On June 8th, 1978 this amazing author spoke up about the world of self and the secular worlds hold on humanity that we as a people over 33 years later are reeling from the effects of the same obvious lack of concern for Spiritual growth than that of material growth causing America and the world to lose touch with it Almighty Creator. It is time we stand up for the Truth in the Word of God as a majority and stop letting the secular world ruin the future of generations to come by our lack of respect to our youth, our families and our worlds Spiritual growth. Stop being silent and show your love of loving Christ Jesus and help save the world from lies and live in Truth.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today for the Emmaus Weekend people of St. Louis. May the Fire of Christ burning in their hearts fill their lives with Truth. We pray Augie Silva’s continued healing. We pray we are never afraid of speaking the Truth even though we know the world will hate us for it. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Consecrate them in the Truth. Your Word is Truth.

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-5-2011

If you are insulted for the Name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of Glory and of God rests upon you. 1 Peter 4:14

Consecrate them in the Truth. Your Word is Truth. John 1:17

Acts 1:12-14, Psalm 27, 1 Peter 4:13-16 & John 17 1-17

We return to Acts today just after Christ’s Ascension into heaven to be reminded that He indeed was Risen for the Glory of God and the beginning point of the “Church” to fulfill Christ’s request to take the Gospel “to the ends of the earth.” I am struck by the Holy Spirit’s need to fulfill the Apostles preaching to all mankind and how important a role His presence is in all of our lives. If you’ve never learned the Holy Spirit prayer, I pray you take it and envelope it into your daily routine of praying to invoke His presence to accomplish Good Works in all you do. I begin each day in this prayer and I seek His Comfort often throughout the day to continue His Truth of accomplishing the Will of God by repeating it often.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created and You shall renew the face of the earth. Let us pray. O, God, Who by the Light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever to rejoice in His consolation through Christ our LORD. Amen.”

There is such a comfort I feel when Scripture tells us that we are blessed to be insulted for Name of Christ Jesus. It is a confidence I carry when I’m seeking to share His Truth with anyone, anytime and anywhere and I share this to bring more souls to know His Redemption. Because of His grace I know He is with me and I find myself been called by God to become more involved in my community and my country because of my love of His salvation. There was a time in my life I would have left the thoughts of becoming holy to my relatives who were loud supporters of the love of God, but the Truth has captured my heart and soul and a desire to accomplish the Will of God in all things.

Growing up in Gainesville and was constantly running away from the Light that illuminated my every step. I recognize now more than ever that this Light was the Light of God and I didn’t fully understand how bright the Light can be until you truly surrender yourself to it burning brightly inside your heart and soul each and every moment of every day. I was full of myself only concerned with how I would get by instead of giving my all to live a life of joy and peace within the Light of Christ.

Today in John 17 Jesus looks to heaven and asks God to watch over his disciples for the mission of the church. “And now I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, while I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are.” John 17:11 He asks that they be consecrated in Truth as His Word is Truth to Glorify the Father in all capacities. I happily admit this is something I have done since my complete surrender to His Will: consecrated my entire life to God’s Will. My complete being has been handed over to the LORD for His Glory. From my home and prayer life to my job and even my car, I dedicate all to His Glory to share His Redemption and Truth with the world. I love my love of Christ! Amen!

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, I pray today for a Brother in Christ whose daughter, Gabby, is suffering back problems. Please heal her and guide her to comfort. I pray today for the continued healing of Augie Silva. I pray by Your Word I instill in my writings the desire for people to consecrate their lives to Your Word and give You LORD all the glory. We pray for the Emmaus Team at St. Louis to carry Your Light of Truth to guide the Retreatants to accomplish more for You. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have come to believe that I came from God

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-4-2011

For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have come to believe that I came from God. John 16:28

Acts 18:23-28, Psalm 47 & John 16:23-28

In the darkness of the morning, a single candle is lit by a Monk who has just awakened in a far away land to illuminate his reading of the Word of God to live in Christ’s joy each and every moment of every day. On his knees he begins to pray aloud the very Scripture each one of us is reading now to open our eyes to see the Light of Christ’s joy as Children of God. He reads aloud to himself, “Until now you have not asked anything in My Name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.” John 16:24 Tears begin to stream down his face as he welcomes this verse in his heart and he knows God has already given him everything he wants: Redemption from sin.

My imaginary Monk is a true example of how God’s Word affects me this morning and every morning as the tears of Christ’s joy roll off my cheeks as I pray for the people I have gotten to know over these last seven years of my complete surrender to His Truth. This morning I am praying how Christ’s love has impacted my life in every aspect of knowing how to embrace faith, hope and love to give true charity to those less fortunate than I and to share His Redemption with complete strangers. Today, many of my Brothers in Christ will awake in a small retreat house here in Miami to continue sharing this hope for about 30 men attending an Emmaus Retreat weekend. Their witness will lay seeds of faith in the scattered hearts of many and bring them closer to God’s Truth to strengthen their faith, their hope and their lives to begin their own Walk to Emmaus which will transform their hearts to burn as bright as the candle I lit this morning.

I lit a candle and just sat back and stared at the Light as I prayed for all those I said I would pray for and all those who have asked me to pray for them and I prepare myself to share a sign of hope to those mothers who are about to abort their child at a local abortion mill. My heart aches for these gifts of God’s love and I’m drawn to pray for our Vice President who met with the Pope yesterday not only because he is a leader in our government but because we know he’s a practicing Catholic who believes in the right to choose. He as every other leader of God’s world receives a prayer from me of hope, justice and enlightenment each and every morning as our LORD has instructed us to pray for the leaders of all countries.

As Jesus explained today, the Father loves you when you embrace Him as the Redeemer of the world and follow His Teaching of love to begin each day. When I awake each morning the first words from my mouth are, “In the Name of the Father Who made me, In the Name of Son Who saved me and in the Name of the Holy Spirit Who sanctifies me, I offer this day I’m about to take on” and I turn to my wife because she’s saying it too and I say, “Good Morning beautiful” because being One in God together I want her to know her beauty reaches every depth of my heart at every moment of every day just as the Spirit of Truth dwells in my soul forever more. Who can you share His Redemption with today to allow your love of loving His Truth to help someone who needs God through you?

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today for the continued healing of Augie Silva. We pray today for the Emmaus Weekend of St. Louis. We pray to ask You LORD for only the things we truly need to fulfill Your Will in all of our lives. We ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.

Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My Name He will give you

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-3-2011

One night in a vision the Lord said to Paul, “Do not be afraid. Go on speaking, and do not be silent, for I am with you. Acts 18:9-10a

On that day you will not question Me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My Name He will give you. John 16:23

Acts 18:9-18, Psalm 47 & John 16:20-23

We learn of Paul’s vision today in Acts 18 and the vow he takes to be steadfast in the LORD no matter what the circumstance or opposition. Many a Christian speaks of having visions of our LORD in different ways and I can attest that visions of the LORD come when you are in communion with His Truth at all times. Some people will scoff at what experience when you share it with them but remember your surrender to Christ’s love is a one-on-one relationship that no one can take away from you. Just as Paul did when he cut his hair on his journey to Syria, we as individuals take a vow to be in communion with Christ as a surrender to faith, charity and love that no person on earth can break or diminish allowing your love of loving Him to be steadfast and ever present. Amen.

As we walk through life, we have many questions we seek to answer and live up to. We want to understand every facet of living yet we are astounded time-and-time again when we experience such things as breath of fresh air after being exposed to smoke or a flower in bloom when we walk amongst the earth’s surface. When I was in the Navy, I was put into a smoke house and gas chamber and the officer in charge told us to take our mask off and put our mask back on to clear the smoke or gas which was a frightening experience, but as we left the shack we were in each time, the breath of fresh air is as crisp in my brain today as the day I took it almost 20 years ago.

God’s love for me is the exact same thing, crisp as fresh air which I breathe each and every day and my questions about this life He has given me are answered each and every time I read and follow His Word and smell a rose in bloom. My questions have turned into learning to share His Truth to give people hope, faith and love seeking to mirror Christ’s compassion, His joy and His trust He shared when He walked with us here on earth teaching the Gospel of the Father’s love for humanity promising us whatever we ask the Father in His Name He will give it to you. In loving your love of Christ you will discover the joy of asking and receiving from the Father hope, faith and love in graces of love and protection. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Heavenly King, we continue our prayers for Augie Silva healing who begins chemotherapy this week. We pray we maintain our vow of surrender to live Your Son’s Truth each and every day. We send a prayer of thanksgiving for the job offer Jean received yesterday. LORD, I am also thankful for the meeting of Eve and her love of you and her expressions of help You LORD have instilled in her heart to be a guide during my campaign to bring Truth back to our Nation’s Capitol. IN Jesus Name we pray. Amen.God Bless His Truth for America,

Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn, while the world rejoices; you will grieve, but your grief will become joy

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-2-2011

Paul began to occupy himself totally with preaching the Word. Acts 18:5b

Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn, while the world rejoices; you will grieve, but your grief will become joy. John 16:20

Acts 18:1-8, Psalm 98 & John 16:16-20

Paul has made his way to Corinth and has teamed with a Christian named Aquila and his wife Pricilla who had just come from Rome after many Jews were exiled from the city because Emperor Claudius expelled the Jews from Rome ca. A.D. 40 reportedly because they had stirred up controversy about the Messiahship of Christ. Soon we will learn of Paul’s vision from God telling him to keep preaching the Word that he will be protected from harm and be able to share the Truth that Jesus is the Christ.

How many of us seemingly have such havoc around us because we feel afraid of sharing the Gospel of Christ Jesus? One thing Paul can teach us all is how to trust in the LORD will all our heart and soul to accomplish the Will of God. For about a year and half I have been experiencing the same thing in my soul. God has been pulling on my heart to do something He has shared with me as my calling. Do I follow His directions or do I become afraid of the unknown?

Writing and sharing poetry has become my passion for His Truth guided by the Holy Spirit each and every day but in private God has been sharing with me a need to take His Truth back to our Nation’s Capitol. For the last 18 months I have been training to take a “Walk” for the Will of God. This “Walk” will begin June 14th and I will be walking 10 miles per day from Mile Marker “0” in Key West 200 hundred or so miles to North Miami Beach carrying a 15 foot flag pole with an American Flag and POW Flag.

I’m affectionately calling it, “Congress Walking Cruz-Wiggins Petition Drive.” With no money and a small amount of food and water, I will accept His Call by Trusting in His Word to bring about people who will help me through the first 100 miles by feeding me and allowing me to sleep in their front yards, hammocks or couches to accomplish bringing people together for the “Common Good of America.” The back of my shirt will have Psalm 119: 105-106 reading: “Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a Light for my path. I make a solemn vow to keep Your just edicts.”

Jesus speaks today of the Resurrection before it happens. “You will weep and mourn,” He tells His Disciples, “but your grief will become joy.” His Life, Death and Resurrection have become our joy to share in His Redemption for Mankind. In this Truth, I know Gods is calling me to take a leap of faith and seek to share this joy in His Word, in His Truth for a stronger America which was built in the opinion of many by the Founding Fathers and Mothers of the USA through His Divine Teachings. I believe in these Divine Teachings and it’s time to take back our country form the Secular world of sin.

Today, anyone who reads this will discover a preemptive announcement to pray for my protection and guidance to accomplish the Will of God as I walk for His Truth. Stop right now and please say a prayer for me as I undertake the biggest challenge of my life. A Samson and Goliath challenge. As I walk by your homes, your churches and your towns, honk and wave to Keep America strong for people like me who have gotten tired of sitting back and allowing our country to be taken away completely from our Christian Heritage for the benefit of the few. We ARE the MAJORITY in America and it’s time WE as Americans stand up for His Truth. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: My LORD and My God, today we pray for continued healing of Augie Silva. We say a prayer of thanksgiving for Jhaysonn who yesterday received the news his cancer has miraculously been healed after years of intense prayer. Thank you LORD for his healing. We pray today that by my announcement I am fulfilling the beginning steps of accomplishing Your Will in my life for Your Glory and the sharing of Truth for America’s need. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

He will glorify Me, because He will take from what is Mine and declare it to you

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-1-2011

Rather it is He Who gives to everyone life and breath and everything. Acts 17:25b

He will glorify Me, because He will take from what is Mine and declare it to you. John 16:14

Acts 17:15, 22—18:1, Psalm 148 & John 16:12-15

Sometimes I think it’s hard to believe let alone conceive in our minds how the Disciples of Christ seemingly took His Gospel and spread it over all the world and here 2000 years later we are living His Truth by this very beginning. In Acts 17 today, Paul is in Athens walking about and encountering one idol after another and he’s determined to tell the Hellenist their philosophy is wrong and the religion of Christ Jesus must be followed to receive Eternal Life.

Once Paul delivers his message in the highest judicial and legislative council of ancient Athens called Areopagus, many scoff at the idea of someone being raised from the dead yet Paul still converts a person or two. Today we encounter the same thing time-and-time again by the disbelief of people we encounter when we share Christ’s Truth with them because they are caught in a selfish net of Satan’s sinful ways wanting nothing more than to have the most stuff, the most lustful pleasures and the most money.

Yet God states we still are charged to make sure they have every opportunity to believe even as Martha in John was told by Jesus Himself. “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in Me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 We must as believers seek to share to His Redemption even if the fright of being turned down may occur as it does so many times when anyone preaches the Love of God.

Jesus began John Chapter 16 with, “I have told you this so that you may not fall away,” as He describes how the Advocate, the Spirit of Truth, will guide them in Words from their mouths, courage in their hearts and action in their beings to accomplish the sharing of His Resurrection to gain Life Everlasting in Him. The Holy Spirit will share in our hearts and souls our love of loving Jesus by what has already been told not any new prediction of what will come. Christ has fulfilled all Prophesy in His Life, Death and Resurrection. He has made sure they shared His Gospel with us so we will not fall away. Amen.

But when He comes, the Spirit of truth, He will guide you to all Truth. He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify Me, because He will take from what is Mine and declare it to you. Everything that the Father has is Mine; for this reason I told you that He will take from what is Mine and declare it to you.” John 16:13-15

So we ask in prayer: Heavenly Father, we continue our prayers today for Augie Silva and we ask for healing and peace. LORD, we pray today to Glorify the Father and to admit mistakes when they happen to learn from friends whom we trust. We pray for all who read my study to be lifted up by Your Truth in Word, Deed and Spirit. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Let love be sincere; hate what is evil, hold on to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; anticipate one another in showing honor

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-31-2011

Let love be sincere; hate what is evil, hold on to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; anticipate one another in showing honor. Romans 12:9-10

Romans 12: 9-16, Isaiah 12 & Luke 1:19-56

Stay steadfast in the joy of being a loving, honest Christian who can give his or her last penny to a person in need. Say yes as Mary said yes to God so many years ago and treat each day as gift from God Himself. For the rush of the day and the tricks of Satan’s selfish needs will overcome you if you don’t practice the three P’s of Christianity: Practice (read your Bible, Pray (unceasingly over everything) and Proclaim (the Gospel with confidence.)

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, please forgive me for being in such a rush this morning. We pray today for Augie Silva’s continued healing. We pray we will always hold on to what is good and rid ourselves with evil. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Whoever hates Me also hates my Father

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-30-2011

Whoever hates Me also hates my Father. John 15:23

Acts 16:11-15, Psalm 149 & John 15:23- 16-4

Today in Acts we learn of a woman named Lydia who listened to Paul preach becoming a believer Baptizing her family and afterwards said to them: “If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my home.” Acts 16:15c There’s an immediate beauty in accepting the LORD Jesus as your Savior that moves mountains and opens doors to even absolute strangers. The door of this woman’s house was opened to Paul and Silas because they shared the Truth of Salvation with her and her family. A Truth that can open doors to complete strangers for the Glory of God. “Knock and the door will open.”

This weekend I listened to a story of doors opening when strangers come knocking to share the Truth of Christ when the directors of the Miami Dream Center (www.miamidreamcenter.org) shared lessons of helping the people of Little Haiti and other less fortunate areas of Miami. What amazed me the most is their absolute resolve to go back time-and-time again to the same area allowing the Holy Spirit to move people’s heart to accept Christ’s Salvation when door after door is closed in their faces from the start. The Guiding Light of Christ is allowing them to illuminate people’s hearts to Trust and Accept their help in the Name of the LORD Christ Jesus. Often people will say no to their request to pray for them but more often than not they will eventually open their doors to their work of prayer with persistence of Christ’s love. A lesson to learn and accept in all of our lives. The Joy of Salvation will open doors by His Persistent Love of Humanity. Be persistent and share His Truth. Amen.

Such a powerful in your face statement by Christ: “Whoever hates Me also hates my Father.” John 15:23 How can we love the Father if we don’t love the Son? There’s only One Way to the Father and that’s through the Son. Jesus tells us towards the end of John 15 that people will makes excuses for their sin but He reminds us, “But in order that the word written in their law might be fulfilled, ‘They hated me without cause.’” John 15:25 People will hear and witness true miracles in the Name of Christ Jesus but yet still not believe. Their life of selfish acts of greed, excess and lust are more important than anything they witness because Satan’s grip of their soul is pulling them away from His Truth. From our persistence in exposing the shame of excess of the secular world we will provide a true testimony of our love of loving Christ as a open door to His Salvation. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today for continued healing of Augie Silva. We pray to knock on the locked doors of lost souls with confidence void of fear to share Your Son’s Truth with all Salvation. We pray for all the souls who lost their lives serving our Great Country this Memorial Day. Bless them LORD will Eternal Rest in Your Arms of Salvation. We ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be the Will of God, than for doing evil

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-29-2011

For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be the Will of God, than for doing evil. 1 Peter 3:17

On that day you will realize that I am in My Father and you are in Me and I in you. John 14:20

Acts 8:5-8, 14-17, Psalm 66, 1 Peter 3:15-18, & John 14:15-21

There are times in your life when you are going to suffer for doing good even though you feel the LORD has forgotten you because of your suffering but in Truth you will see He has blessed you by your hurdle with patience to overcome the discourse to accomplish His Will for all eternity. Even from the smallest things in life, God has a plan to strengthen your morals, your desires for His Truth and for His graces.

Paul describes in 1 Peter 3 a need to overcome evil with good even in the midst of feeling their spite and evil anger directed at you in the midst of doing something worthy. “Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but, on the contrary, a blessing, because to this you were called, that you might inherit a blessing.” 1 Peter 3:9

When did you realize God’s Only Son dwelled in your heart and directed your every thought and action? Was it in the car? Was it in a church? Was it in a dream? Mine came from an Angel telling me to become a teacher of God’s Children and my life has never been the same since. I seek to embrace His Will in all things and I look to live only for Him.

Because He is in me I was led to an amazing weekend in the LORD giving back to the community in Truth, effort and action by participating in the God Squad for Miami Beach. Today’s journey lead me to Miami Beach by 6 PM and after some assignments and dinner we were told to wait for a briefing by Miami Beach Police. As I waited, I chose to go outside and listen to music on my iPhone and I became lost in God’s Spirit and was singing song after song out loud in a sea of volunteers and beach goers alike.

With my arms raised high I would belt out Amazing Grace with such fervor that I caused some Christian ladies and men to join in without me realizing it who were also on the God Squad. I learned my love of loving Christ caused them to go inside and begin a sing along with the entire group of volunteers. One walked by saying, “you’re the cause of this,” with a smile on her face as many joined in singing “praise God, praise God, praise God, praise God.”

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, a prayer of thanksgiving for keeping the God Squad volunteers safe. We continue our prayers for Augie Silva LORD. And today I include special intentions for a dear friend and his wife, Kelly and Karla. LORD, we pray we always seek good and turn from evil by living Your Son’s Truth. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Keep Him in your heart
Share His Truth as you start
To talk with strangers or friends alike
Be not afraid of the unknown to part

People will seek a reason for hope
His love will guide them to truly cope
Conscious clear and full of love
God’s grace enjoyed from above

His suffering for sins Redeems your soul
Only once did He take up the Cross to know
The unrighteous might need to be shown
The death of flesh is Spirit grown

If the world hates you, realize that it hated Me first

Wig’s Word of God Today 5-28-2011

If the world hates you, realize that it hated Me first. John 15:18

Acts 16:1-10, Psalm 100 & John 15:18-21

Jesus tells us today in John 15:18 that “if the world hates you, realize that it hated Me first.” I was reminded last night that up to 90% of all people were raised in a Christian belief and I have to admit most embraced our presence as a sign of faith, charity and love instead of showing signs of hate. For the first time in my entire life I walked amongst the people fervently praying constantly as a smile rode across my face wearing an orange t-shirt that reads ‘God Squad.”

I have to admit I was overjoyed with His Spirit of Trust constantly repeating the words “God Bless You, God Bless You” as hundreds if not thousands of people walked by my group of about 15 people who wore the same t-shirt seeking to provide order, answer questions of concern and be a Godly presence.. There were times of true ministering mixed with true appreciation from Memorial Day weekend goers of Miami Beach where this weekend thousands of Hip Hop fans pack South Beach to enjoy the South Florida atmosphere. We were there to remind people that you are in my house so please respect my home.

My day began on Miami Beach at 4 pm as I waited to be taken to the Miami Beach Police Department to be photographed for an I.D. card which we all wore around our necks. My day ended at 3 AM when I walked into my home in Homestead inundated with the Holy Spirit yet exhausted completely from my day of work as a teacher and volunteer work on the beach. Yes, volunteer work on the beach.

Why would a person want to walk around the beach amongst thousands of people to submit themselves to the physical exhaustion  and mental rigors of spiteful visible sin? The reason why we all rise each day; God’s Truth of Redemption from His Only Son Jesus Christ. There were times I would hear the words, “God Squad pray for me and save my soul” as I spoke to a homeless man giving him God’s reassurance he isn’t forgotten.

As a Godly presence, we helped police officers conduct crowd control, keep order and answer questions about anything from “why are we there?” to “where’s the bathroom?” The true enjoyment came from people seeking Christ’s smile in our faces and His Truth from our tongues as we shared our love of loving Christ Jesus. Yes, those who do not embrace your love of Christ and are engulfed in sinful ways of self do not know the Father as Jesus taught His Disciples. “And they will do all these things to you on account of My Name, because they do not know the One Who sent Me.” John 15:21 Yet, I was reminded last night as well that God said “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” Matthew 7:1

So we ask in prayer: Heavenly King, we pray today we for Augie Silva’s continued improvement. We pray today for the people who volunteered their time this weekend to serve on the “God Squad” of Miami Beach. We pray Your guiding hands will keep them safe and Your Light will shine in their faces a radiant Light of faith, charity and love for those who need Your Truth most. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

From the Father Will They Hide-John 15

His Disciples learned

Hate is what you see

Truth unknown to perceive

Only because they know not Me

The world is their joy

They belong to self

Where love of own

Is Satan’s guiding help

He will choose you

Free Will to be

Only more than the world

Truth will set you free

The sin is your slave

It’s not your Master

Persecuted from Truth

No light is ever faster

They will hate you

As they hated Him first

Keep His Word

His Truth your flirt

His Name is the reason

Hate or love to abide

Not knowing the Son

From the Father will they hide
