But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-16-2011

Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. Matthew 6:8

But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions. Matthew 6:15

2 Corinthians 11:1-11, Psalm 111 & Matthew 6:7-15

Paul asks the Corinthians to put up with his foolishness of being jealous by embracing others who preach about Christ in a manner that doesn’t coincide with Paul’s thoughts and training from Christ Himself. He compares the preachers to serpents or satanic minds of corruption and asks them to recognize where the Gospel comes from; Christ. “For if someone comes and preaches another Jesus than the one we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received or a different Gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it well enough. For I think that I am not in any way inferior to these “superapostles.” Even if I am untrained in speaking, I am not so in knowledge; in every way we have made this plain to you in all things.” 2 Corinthians 11:4-6 His foolishness is not foolish after all; he wants them to know the REAL Truth.

How many of you really believe God knows what we need before we ask Him? It might be difficult to believe if you’re not in complete communion with Him but once you do, your prayers will be directed to accomplish His Will in all things and He will give accordingly to your faith, deeds and action. Give as He gives; abundantly. Love as He loves; everlasting. Forgive as He forgives; Eternally. Jesus explains to us in Matthew 6 how to pray to our Father by sharing the LORD’s prayer. In all, things, Christ’s prayer to our Father is how we should live our lives each and every day allowing our surrender to His Truth to guide us with no regrets because we live in a Truth where forgiveness is what we live in and what we give. Our love of loving Christ provides our Father warriors for His Son’s Truth to share His Redemption with all Humanity. Share eagerly. Share daily. Share abundantly. For the Glory of God Who lives in all.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today we can always forgive those who hurt us or anger us. We pray today for patience to accomplish Your Will forever more. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-15-2011

Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 6:7

But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father Who sees in secret will repay you. Matthew 6:6

2 Corinthians 9:6-11, Psalm 112 & Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18

Many of today will save and save to buy something we will use only once or twice a year letting it sit in the yard as some sort of trophy. You know what I’m talking about, maybe it’s the boat you always wanted, or a certain car that was a model you used to drive n high school you bought to fix up on the weekends. There was a time I used to think getting every toy was the goal for life. You know, as the poster reads, “The one with the most toys when he dies wins.” Here’s the thing: the lack of enjoyment you’re getting from not being able to afford the gas, the parts or the time to use the toy has turned into a waste of money that could be used to help an older person paint their house or give a homeless person a meal or two a week

When I learned to be cheerful giver, my life took on a different meaning. My worries of money stopped and I began to see graces to help even more. Paul reminds us, “Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written: “He scatters abroad, he gives to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” 2 Corinthians 6:8-9 What a confidence builder by the LORD telling us in Scripture we will always have enough for ourselves and more to give by the graces of God Himself.

Today’s study reminds me of my friends at the Miami Dream Center (http://miamidreamcenter.org/) who took the call of God and began to knock on doors actively seeking to share the Gospel in tongue and in action to help the young, the married and the elderly in need. They might plant a few hundred tress for a small town. They might paint an elderly person’s house fixing things as they go along and even better encouraging the person to get up and clean their house for the first time in a year. Or they may bake a cake for young child’s birthday helping an unemployed mother bring joy to her child’s life. How are you sharing your talent, time and treasures? Are they sitting in the yard or working on an old car? Can you actively make a difference?

Now that you’ve decided to go about doing good for the Glory of God, Jesus reminds us to “take care not to perform righteous deeds in order that people may see them; otherwise, you will have no recompense from your Heavenly Father.” Matthew 6:1 It is sometimes hard not to want to share with people the good things you do but God tells us to accomplish acts of charity for the benefit of the person you are embracing with His Goodness and not the benefit of your bragging.

I believe if you use the opportunity to enlighten others how easy it is to give for God’s Glory instead of seeking praise for the good deed done, and then you are seeking the opportunity to help guide people to know the love of loving His Son’s Truth by your faith, charity and love of Christ Jesus. Amen! Jesus also reminds us to pray in secret in the inner room to be in communion with God. I always suggest choosing a quiet place where you can light a candle or listen to soothing music or natures sounds to pray in a calm joyous manner. I do this daily when I awake to share His Truth with the people I write to each day about God’s Word I study every day of my life. Seek and you will find your place to accomplish prayers and fasting for your needs and the needs of humanity.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, I pray a prayer of thanksgiving for watching over me and guiding me to know how to live Your Will while showing me Your protections for my mind, my body and my soul as I walk to bring Truth back to Washington. I pray I am always a cheerful giver who shares the stories of life for Your Glory. I pray we can be a people of action to accomplish love for all humanity. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-14-2011

Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you. Matthew 5:44b

2 Corinthians 8:1-9, Psalm 146 & Matthew 5:43-48

There are times in everybody’s life that you encounter someone who dislikes you or you dislike them leading to physical altercation or name calling in some sort of way. Maybe it was a guy who stole your girlfriend when you were in the ninth grade or maybe it was someone who challenged you in football game parking lot because you were on the winning team. From complete strangers to obvious friends or family, persecution can come from all angles and have a devastating affect on your life leading to depression, injury or God-forbid; death.

Jesus looked at this type of hate and persecution as a need to prove that love can overcome anything or any feeling allowing a release of conscious decisions to become embattled in a fight or verbal altercation. As a school teacher, I’ve seen children let go in this manner and I’ve seen children who retaliate immediately causing harm and suspension. I’m always amazed at the child who lets ugliness, verbal put downs or intentional pushing lead to their reacting to turn the other cheek or step aside in the name of love. Some of these children I already know there parents are God-fearing but some I may ask why the change of heart? “You, Mr. Cruz-Wiggins,” one little boy said this past year. “I don’t won’t to disappoint you.” A true “ah-hah” moment.

These next 18 months and for the rest of my life I will take God’s Divine Teachings and instill them into everything I do just as I have these last 7 years. I know I’ve made mistakes in my life and I pray anyone I have ever hurt or let down will forgive me for I have found what it means to live in Truth each and every moment of my life. I am unafraid because of Christ’s Truth and Redemption and His love guides me every step of the way. The steps begin today as I officially announce from Key West in just a short 7 hours my intention to run for the Office of Congress for the 18th District of Miami/Monroe Counties of Florida and walk 275 miles to from Key West to North Miami Beach to prove I can be a man of courage and determination to accomplish same.

I am so excited I an barely sleep and here at 3:33 AM EST I look to continue my daily Scripture Study from the side of the road on the Overseas Highway for the next ten days calling on the people of the Keys to help me make it the first 100 miles.  I will also keep a blog from my campaign website at www.cruz-wiggins.com marking my route as I walk North 10 miles each day. Please pray for me. I love my love of Christ Jesus and I will share His Truth as a person of faith, charity and love for the Glory of God the Father.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to always love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us in the Name above every Name, Christ Jesus. Your Son Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

In everything we commend ourselves as Ministers of God

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-13-2011

We cause no one to stumble in anything, in order that no fault may be found with our ministry; on the contrary, in everything we commend ourselves as ministers of God. 2 Corinthians 6:3-4

Should anyone press you into service for one mile, go with him for two miles. Matthew 5:41

2 Corinthians 6:1-10, Psalm 98 & Matthew 5:38-42

As Ministers of God, the LORD begs of us not to cause anyone to stumble. On the contrary, He asks us to lift them up and keep them steadied for the work of Salvation by our walk, our talk and our action. The LORD sent His Only Son to live by example for us to follow and treat each and every human the same as one does him or her self. We offer everything and expect nothing in return seeking not reward but to go unnoticed as a Servant of God. Paul sets forth an appeal to the Corinthians not to live for oneself but to find pleasure in doing what is right in the eyes of God even in the midst of persecution.

These examples follow nine separate types of trials and his call to endure them all for the Greater Glory of God and His Son’s Redemption in Christ Jesus. “through much endurance, in afflictions, hardships, constraints, beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, vigils, fasts; by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, in a holy spirit, in unfeigned love, in truthful speech, in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness at the right and at the left; through glory and dishonor, insult and praise. We are treated as deceivers and yet are truthful; as unrecognized and yet acknowledged; as dying and behold we live; as chastised and yet not put to death; as sorrowful yet always rejoicing; as poor yet enriching many; as having nothing and yet possessing all things.” 2 Corinthians 6:4c-10

Jesus asks the toughest thing a human can do and that’s to turn the other cheek when someone strikes you or does something to harm you. This can come in many forms and is the very reason why God asks us to stop taking an eye for an eye and offer a cheek for a cheek assuming the most powerful position of all; on your knees in prayer. “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.” Matthew 5:43-44 There are people of God everywhere around you and while many of us have been silent for way too long, there are many who are shouting from the mountaintops the Glory of God.

Many you meet in every day places and yet many you meet in places of need. I met a mother and daughter-in-law in a hotel lobby yesterday who were speaking the Truth of Christ over breakfast. When I approached them to commend them on their beautiful prayers and discussion, we prayed together and embraced God’s Glory aloud while sitting amongst several people eating breakfast. I pray we all have the courage to pray with friends and strangers alike to share the Truth of Christ Jesus for the Glory of God but more importantly, I pray we notice those in need around us who may be crying or suffering in some sort of way.

Yesterday during Mass in Orlando, I noticed a man sitting in front of us in the front pew who was crying and praying to God with his Bible in hand. During the kiss of peace I shook his hand and leaned into him saying, “Peace be with you. I am offering my communion for your peace and healing today. I love you brother.” This complete stranger gripped me in a hug of love and replied, “I love you too.” As I took the Body of Christ in my mouth and then kneeled behind him, I lifted my hands towards him and prayed to the Father for his comfort and peace as my body began to tingle and I felt the Spirit of God illuminate my entire being.

After Mass, I asked him if I could pray for him and we prayed together holding hands and he shared with me the need for healing in a stomach ailment. Laying hands on him I looked to heaven and asked God to place His healing presence through my hands to comfort and aid this stranger who has now become a friend in Christ. In loving your love of Christ you will pray for friends and strangers alike anywhere, anytime and anyplace. Amen!

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today for Randy S. of Orlando, Florida. We continue our prayers of healing for his stomach ailment and ask to give him faith, courage and love to conquer his sickness. We pray today to always turn the other cheek and be forgiving to ANYONE, ANYTIME and ANYWHERE for Your Glory LORD. IN Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, so I send you

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-12- 2014

No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:3d

Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, so I send you. John 20:21b

Acts 2:1-11, Psalm 104, 1 Corinthians 12:3b-7, 12-13, & John 20:19-23

I awake today in Orlando, Florida completely rested after a complete Saturday at Wet-n-Wild with my wife, youngest son Jeffrey-Steven and my step-son Julian enjoying a little break after close of school. It’s was nice to sleep in a little bit but my LORD began tapping on my heart by 6 AM and His Word is my waking need and desire. This past Friday I gave witness at our weekly Prayer Muffin and I will be sharing this below.

We celebrate Pentecost this weekend which literally means “fiftieth day” and is celebrated fifty days after Easter. In Acts we learn the fire of God’s love pierces the hearts and souls of the Apostles as they are anointed with the Holy Spirit to begin the history of a Church we call home today over 2000 years later. I can only imagine what they must have felt sitting there in bewilderment from the loss of their Friend Jesus Who ascended into the sky just ten days earlier.

They mourned and prayed in the Upper Room as the Feast of the Passover began and thousands of people were in Jerusalem for the occasion. God’s amazing grace comes upon them in a Wind howling and stirring up their hearts as the Holy Spirit fills their souls giving them courage and wisdom to proclaim the Gospel with fervor and knowledge. So much so they entered the streets and began speaking in tongues of each of the different visitors. Peter boldly announces Christ’s Salvation and our Church has its beginning.

In 1 Corinthians 12 Paul explains we all have all been given a Spiritual Gift by the same God Who gave us the ability to proclaim Jesus is LORD by this same Spirit. This same Spirit guides us each and every day residing in our hearts to lead us in everything we do by praying unceasingly over everything we wish to accomplish. Jesus tells us not to worry what we will speak when we are faced with adversity. “When they lead you away and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say. But say whatever will be given to you at that hour. For it will not be you who are speaking but the Holy Spirit.” Mark 13:11

These gifts come in many fashions and I ask each of you today to ponder and reflect together: What is your gift from God? And how do you use it?

I will close with a few Scripture versus for you to ponder as well. First is my signature, Romans 8:28 “We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.” What has God called you for to accomplish for His purpose?

We all know we are living in times of unrest and uncertainty. I ask you all to remember this Scripture God has given us: 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 10-14

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God…. And from such people turn away! …all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned …”

Are we living these times more than ever in today’s world? Are you ready and willing to let your love of loving Christ be your guide and favor?

In the Gospel we read this Sunday leaves us with our call. I pray we are all up to the task of accepting each of our calls from God to accomplish the Truth set forth by our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. I leave you with His Peace and Truth:

(Jesus) said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, so I send you.”  And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”  John 20:21-23

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, I praise and thank You LORD for giving us Your Word to live by. I pray today for safe travels and I pray for the knowledge to share Your Truth with the people I meet today. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Be not afraid of strangers

It was in Antioch that the Disciples were first called Christians

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-11-2011

It was in Antioch that the Disciples were first called Christians. Acts 11:26c

There are also many other things that Jesus did, but if these were to be described individually, I do not think the whole world would contain the books that would be written. John 21:25

Acts 11:21b-26; 12:1-3, Psalm 98 & John 21:20-25

When you separate yourself from the world by breathing, eating and living the Gospel of Christ Jesus, you are labeled as a Christian. It was during the time in Antioch that the Disciples were first called Christians because they stood out from those who practiced Judaism. In today’s world, for far too long, we Christians have become silent as a majority instead of truly preaching the Gospel as the Disciples did when they were the minority. Think about that: Then they were constantly under the eye of Jewish religious leaders who wanted them to be killed. Now we are allowed to follow Christianity without the worry of being killed. Why on earth have we become so SILENT?

More than  ever in our world, especially here in the United States, we as the majority of Christian United States Citizens have to stand up and let our voices heard. Better yet, we as the majority have to stand up and let the Gospel of Jesus Christ be heard. When you live in a world where disrespecting your elders seems to be allowed by their dress, casual sex and greed, then we have let the secular world separate our faith from our youth and the consequences have been truly devastating to our educational advances as well as our moral objectives to please God.

Jesus reveals Himself to them a third time after He rises from the dead according to the Gospel of John and truly rehabilitates Peter from his denial of Christ at his arrest and establishes Peter’s committed role of building the Church for His Father’s Glory. Now 2000 years later the Church as a whole still has a central mission and that is to share the Redemption of Christ with all humanity to save the world from sin. John closes his book with something we should understand about Jesus and that is He has done so much for the world not all the books in the world could hold His direct affect on the world’s Truth.

So we ask in prayer: Dear Father God, we pray today our silence stops in America and the world of Your glorification in all things. We pray our lives represent the Truth in Christianity and live to accomplish Your Will. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

Lord, You know everything; You know that I love You. (Jesus) said to him, Feed My sheep

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-10-2011

“Lord, You know everything; You know that I love You.” (Jesus) said to him, “Feed My sheep.” John 21:17g

Acts 25:13b-21, Psalm 103 & John 21: 15-19

I awake today to the sound of heavy rain and I am reminded how necessary the rain is to every living thing. I reflect on how necessary Jesus is to every living thing as well for through Him everything was created for the good of humanity in some way. God has left a lot of life for us to figure out on our own but not His love, His love is Eternal and stretches beyond the heavens above. The One thing we can count on in life is God’s love to soothe our broken hearts, our lost souls and our ever wondering minds.

We learn that even when we deny our LORD, He stands waiting with open arms of Salvation no matter how many times we deny Him. In the Gospel today Jesus asks Simon Peter not once, not twice but three times if he loves Him. Obviously, Peter recognizes that Jesus is All and knows all and replies, “Lord, You know everything; You know that I love You.” Many believe Jesus is trying make a point here to the Rock He has chosen to build His Church on because of his earlier denial in Jerusalem when Jesus was arrested and he denied Jesus three times before the cock crowed.

There has not been a time for all of us that we haven’t denied Jesus in some sort of way. Not once, not twice, not even three times but more times than you can count and remember. None of us are innocent in of this Truth because we are after all just human but I beg you to look back and recount the times when you were. Each and every time you did what you know God would disapprove of did you run and hide? Each and every time you did what you know God would disapprove of did you think God wasn’t watching? Each and every time you did what you know God would disapprove of did you think, “I know He’ll forgive me.”

We sometimes think these things because of how we were raised in the LORD but a majority of humanity has been left to fend for themselves and that is why we must use our love of loving Christ Jesus to bring them back to His mercy and forgiveness. We must show that we are not perfect and we have sinned but know God has forgiven us by the Blood of the Lamb Who stretched His arms across a Cross and died for our unrighteousness. We mustn’t ever give up sharing this Truth with others to give back the denial we ourselves lived at many points in our life and prove to family and friends, strangers and Jesus Himself that we repent from our actions of denial and accept Him as our LORD and Savior. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear Father God, we pray today we never deny You or Your Son again. We pray today my life-long friend Randy Kautz who will be Baptized this weekend to repent of his past denials and live in Truth for Your Glory. We pray our lives represent a life of saying “yes” void of the word no forever more. e pray today for a police officer named Noel and a Pastor name Richard Smith. We ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.

Take courage. For just as you have borne witness to My cause in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness in Rome

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-9-2011

Take courage. For just as you have borne witness to My cause in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness in Rome. Acts 23:11b

Righteous Father, the world also does not know You, but I know You, and they know that You sent Me. John 17:25

Acts 22:30; 23:6-11, Psalm 16 & John 17-20-26

Paul’s return to Jerusalem was nothing short of chaos. He was rushed upon by the whole city and dragged into the Temple area where they were intent on beating him to death. “The whole city was in turmoil with people rushing together. They seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple, and immediately the gates were closed. While they were trying to kill him, a report reached the cohort commander that all Jerusalem was rioting.” Acts 21:30-31 The commander believing he was the Egyptian who had come to the city prior in a sweeping rampage killing politicians attempting to tear down the walls of Jerusalem and killing thousands of Jews. Of course Paul was not the Egyptian and he addressed him in Hebrew asking him to allow him to speak to the people.

Now Paul has a chance to recount his journey to Damascus and explain his conversion to the Sadducees and some Pharisees, “the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection or angels or spirits, while the Pharisees acknowledge all three.” This led to the an uproar of debate while one side or the other was shouting at each other the commander felt it in his best interest to rescue him from their midst. “A great uproar occurred, and some scribes belonging to the Pharisee party stood up and sharply argued, “We find nothing wrong with this man. Suppose a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?” The dispute was so serious that the commander, afraid that Paul would be torn to pieces by them, ordered his troops to go down and rescue him from their midst and take him into the compound.” Acts 23:9-10

Paul receives his directions and  reassurance from Jesus the following night. Christ reassures him that he is to go to Rome and bear witness to His Name for Paul being a Roman citizen would have an umbrella of protection not only because he was a Roman citizen but because Jesus would give him courage and strength to share His Truth as the final chapters of Acts begin to come to a close. God has given us reason after reason to abide by His Truth by Paul’s witness. Amazing acts of miracles, protection and rescue yet many still will not take courage in the LORD’s Word.  This lack of relationship with God and His Only Son leads people to a life of sin and self reassured by the excess of having it all where too much is never enough.

We can be reassured by Paul’s journeys and Christ’s Truth that we are all here to bear witness to His New Covenant of love established for all Redeeming us from sin. The sin of excess, lies and cheating. The sin of greed, lust and yes, even killing. This Redemption is not an open ticket to be a humanity of recklessness. No, it is Redemption to share faith, charity and love allowing mankind to know the Truth of living in one accord with the Father for His Glory. When you embrace His Truth, there is a peace a midst the uncertainty that no one can take away from you. What you can’t see in God is visible through the faith of His love each and every day. He is everywhere and everything, yet only you can make the choice through your free will to accept his Truth or deny It and live free as Jesus describes in John 8:32-33; “If you remain in My Word, you will truly be My disciples, and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.”

So we ask in prayer: Heavenly King and Almighty Father, we pray today to we always seek Your Truth for the love of You to accomplish faith, charity and love. We pray today for all teachers, students and parents as we end our school year with joy. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God will arise for battle; the enemy will be scattered; those who hate God will flee Psalm 68:2

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-8-2011

And from your own group, men will come forward perverting the Truth to draw the disciples away after them. Acts 20:30

God will arise for battle; the enemy will be scattered; those who hate God will flee. Psalm 68:2

Consecrate them in the Truth. Your Word is Truth. John 17:17

Acts 20:28-38, Psalm 68 & John 17:11:19

Thirty-three years ago today,  Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn gave a speech at Harvard University that rings true throughout the Word of God in our Scripture study this morning coming form the central theme of Truth. Today seems to symbolize even more than any other year of its anniversary because this is its 33rd year since the speech was given representing in my eyes the complete life of Christ Jesus. Keep this in mind as you read just a small excerpt from the speech below and remember the One Who lived sinless for these 33 years lived in COMPLETE Truth establishing a New Covenant of Love and Truth for Humanity to be Redeemed by.

The world has become a distorted place where the flash and flare of media has destroyed people’s perceptions of living in Harmony with God, not just here in America but throughout the world. Thirty-three years ago today, ironically enough, a Russian writer who changed the course of history by bringing down the “Iron Curtain” through his writings of the Soviet prison system and horrific treatment and lies portrayed by the Soviet Communist Regime because he knew in his heart that “the Truth will set” Humanity “free.” This Truth is the theme Humanity will garnish a complete enjoyment of existing in harmony with one another to accomplish living in the Will of God enjoying His Graces of faith, charity and love.

The title of his commencement address was “A World Split Apart” and has as much impact in today’s world than any other time in our history. My insertion of parts of his speech today is done in succession with key strategically placed elements where his discussion of living in Truth is necessary to embrace the Will of God. His speech alone was twelve pages of 12 point type and exactly 6, 136 words long. May we learn to live in Truth never forgetting or thanking God who created us.

June 8th, 1978 Harvard University Commencement Address by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn- (not in its entirety )

“Harvard’s motto is “Veritas.” (meaning truth) Many of you have already found out and others will find out in the course of their lives that truth eludes us if we do not concentrate with total attention on its pursuit. And even while it eludes us, the illusion still lingers of knowing it and leads to many misunderstandings. Also, truth is seldom pleasant; it is almost invariably bitter. There is some bitterness in my speech today, too. But I want to stress that it comes not from an adversary but from a friend.”

‘A World Split Apart’- “The split in today’s world is perceptible even to a hasty glance. Any of our contemporaries readily identifies two world powers, each of them already capable of entirely destroying the other. However, understanding of the split often is limited to this political conception, to the illusion that danger may be abolished through successful diplomatic negotiations or by achieving a balance of armed forces. The truth is that the split is a much profounder and a more alienating one, that the rifts are more than one can see at first glance. This deep manifold split bears the danger of manifold disaster for all of us, in accordance with the ancient truth that a Kingdom — in this case, our Earth — divided against itself cannot stand.”

‘Well being’- “When the modern Western States were created, the following principle was proclaimed: governments are meant to serve man, and man lives to be free to pursue happiness. (See, for example, the American Declaration). Now at last during past decades technical and social progress has permitted the realization of such aspirations: the welfare state. Every citizen has been granted the desired freedom and material goods in such quantity and of such quality as to guarantee in theory the achievement of happiness, in the morally inferior sense which has come into being during those same decades. In the process, however, one psychological detail has been overlooked: the constant desire to have still more things and a still better life and the struggle to obtain them imprints many Western faces with worry and even depression, though it is customary to conceal such feelings.”

“Active and tense competition permeates all human thoughts without opening a way to free spiritual development. The individual’s independence from many types of state pressure has been guaranteed; the majority of people have been granted well-being to an extent their fathers and grandfathers could not even dream about; it has become possible to raise young people according to these ideals, leading them to physical splendor, happiness, possession of material goods, money and leisure, to an almost unlimited freedom of enjoyment. So who should now renounce all this, why and for what should one risk one’s precious life in defense of common values, and particularly in such nebulous cases when the security of one’s nation must be defended in a distant country? Even biology knows that habitual extreme safety and well-being are not advantageous for a living organism. Today, well-being in the life of Western society has begun to reveal its pernicious mask.”

‘Socialism’- “it is almost universally recognized that the West shows all the world a way to successful economic development, even though in the past years it has been strongly disturbed by chaotic inflation. However, many people living in the West are dissatisfied with their own society. They despise it or accuse it of not being up to the level of maturity attained by mankind. A number of such critics turn to socialism, which is a false and dangerous current.

I hope that no one present will suspect me of offering my personal criticism of the Western system to present socialism as an alternative. Having experienced applied socialism in a country where the alternative has been realized, I certainly will not speak for it. The well-known Soviet mathematician Shafarevich, a member of the Soviet Academy of Science, has written a brilliant book under the title Socialism; it is a profound analysis showing that socialism of any type and shade leads to a total destruction of the human spirit and to a leveling of mankind into death. Shafarevich’s book was published in France almost two years ago and so far no one has been found to refute it. It will shortly be published in English in the United States.”

‘The Turn’-“To such consciousness, man is the touchstone in judging and evaluating everything on earth. Imperfect man, who is never free of pride, self-interest, envy, vanity, and dozens of other defects. We are now experiencing the consequences of mistakes which had not been noticed at the beginning of the journey. On the way from the Renaissance to our days we have enriched our experience, but we have lost the concept of a Supreme Complete Entity which used to restrain our passions and our irresponsibility. We have placed too much hope in political and social reforms, only to find out that we were being deprived of our most precious possession: our spiritual life. In the East, it is destroyed by the dealings and machinations of the ruling party. In the West, commercial interests tend to suffocate it. This is the real crisis. The split in the world is less terrible than the similarity of the disease plaguing its main sections.

“If humanism were right in declaring that man is born to be happy, he would not be born to die. Since his body is doomed to die, his task on earth evidently must be of a more spiritual nature. It cannot unrestrained enjoyment of everyday life. It cannot be the search for the best ways to obtain material goods and then cheerfully get the most out of them. It has to be the fulfillment of a permanent, earnest duty so that one’s life journey may become an experience of moral growth, so that one may leave life a better human being than one started it. It is imperative to review the table of widespread human values. Its present incorrectness is astounding. It is not possible that assessment of the President’s performance be reduced to the question of how much money one makes or of unlimited availability of gasoline. Only voluntary, inspired self-restraint can raise man above the world stream of materialism.”

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today we look back on this speech as a learning tool for Humanity to further embrace our decision to surrender to the Your Glory for all things. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

I glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work that You gave Me to do

Wig’s Word of God Today 6-7-2011

If only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to bear witness to the Gospel of God’s grace. Acts 17:24b

I glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work that You gave Me to do. John 17:4

Acts 20:17-27, Psalm 68 & John 17:1-11

Paul being drawn by the Spirit to return to Jerusalem by Pentecost announces to the Presbyters in Ephesus that he is returning knowing he will probably not see any of their faces again because of the hardships or possible death for proclaiming the Gospel. “But now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem. What will happen to me there I do not know, except that in one city after another the Holy Spirit has been warning me that imprisonment and hardships await me. But now I know that none of you to whom I preached the kingdom during my travels will ever see my face again.” Acts 20:22-23 /25 He is unafraid only concerned with finishing his ministry of bearing witness to the Truth of Christ Jesus.

How many of us can really say we are willing to risk it all to proclaim the Truth of God and His Son’s Redemption? Jesus tells us today He has Glorified the Father living His Work to accomplish the Will of God and He knows it’s almost finished because He will soon be handed over by Judas to fulfill all prophesy. Yet again, He goes about His Work with patience, strength and love. The hour is calling all people to see this patience, strength and love to return to God by ending the silence of voting practices, removing God from our history and allowing the minority of the secular world to dictate the Spirituality of humanity’s majority.

This fight we are up against is being scandalized by the few in the secular community of America and in our silence, we have become afraid of being labeled fanatics. Yes, I boldly proclaim I am a fanatic of Truth because in my heart and soul I know it is wrong to allow secular belief to ruin our youth’s future of being consumed with selfish acts of greed, lust and sin. Can there really be a future without God as our guide? The ruling hand of Communism thought it was the only way to survive and they learned a country without Spirit, morals and Truth was doomed from the beginning and cost their country millions of lives.

Today in America we are up against so much more because we too have eliminated God from our landscape, our schools and our heritage by claiming we wanted to separate Church from State affairs. Obviously, our great Republic was created to have liberties and freedoms instilled in our daily lives where we are free to choose whom we pray to as well as freedom to choose who will represent our best interests in the creation of laws but somehow the moral majority of Americans have allowed this to separate us from a sense of Spirituality in loving God. In doing what is right.

Our government of the people has become a government of career politicians advancing their own agenda without keeping a true connection to the American Public. This disconnect has caused people to see those who serve as liars and thieves not knowing the true heartbeat of the American People. Our government has grown too big and the people are suffering the consequences of greedy power hungry individuals. God wants America to continue a moral growth just as much Americans want our government to stay out of our lives. Without God America will become embedded in unrest and turmoil as the unemployment rates rise and people continue to lose their homes and businesses. With God boldly proclaimed America will once again see His Graces of faith, hope and love to accomplish His Will of prosperity.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today for continued guidance of our work to Glorify You by bringing a sense of action from people to accomplish faith, hope and love. We pray the silence will stop and people will once again indentify themselves as Children of God. We pray to be Christians of Action to live by Your Truth. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
