Grant me justice, God; defend me from a faithless people; from the deceitful and unjust rescue me

Wig’s Word of God Today 3-28-2011

Grant me justice, God; defend me from a faithless people; from the deceitful and unjust rescue me. Psalm 43:1

Amen, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own native place. Luke 4:24

2 Kings 5:1-15ab, Psalm 42:2, 3; 43:3, 4 & Luke 4:24-30

There is a commitment we all have chosen to follow by our love and surrender to a life of living the Gospel. Many may say to look the other way at all the sin of a selfish society and stay focused on the Truth Jesus Christ shares with humanity but I beg to differ. I believe God calls us to march into society and provide hope for the less fortunate by leading them by example. This example of love and affection is carried by the Holy Spirit capturing the essence of living in Truth. I believe God calls us to be proactive in leading a life of patience, hard work and service for the sinners of the world to show them faith, compassion and joy for serving the LORD in Truth.

By our example of living the Gospel we will see a difference being made by the charity we share with our communities and we instill the passion of dreaming of a safer place to live, work and play in our towns and surroundings. Jesus found that His own hometown didn’t embrace His message of faith, hope, charity and love but He took His message of love to the world to be embraced by humanity. Even if your own hometown people doesn’t embrace your commitment to sharing the Gospel of Christ Jesus, there are countless towns and people who will embrace the Truth you share to create passion for living the Word of God. Loving your love of Christ requires you to seek the lost, the hungry and the lonely and rescue them from a society filled with selfishness, deceit and sin. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today for justice from a faithless people. We pray we will be given the strength to work for Your Son’s Truth in all we do. Teach us to be humble, proactive and faithful to serve only Your desires for all humanity. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life

Wig’s Word of God Today 3-27-2011

Is the LORD in our midst or not? Exodus 17:7c

For Christ, while we were still helpless, yet died at the appointed time for the ungodly. Romans 5:6

Whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. John 4:14

God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in Spirit and truth. John 4:24

My food is to do the Will of the one who sent Me and to finish His work. John  4:34

Exodus 17:3-7, Psalm 95:1-2, 6-7, 8-9, Romans 5:1-2, 5-8 & John 4:5-42 or 4:5-15, 19b-26, 39a, 40-42

Moses leads the people out of bondage in Egypt into the desert to find no water. Afraid his people will stone him, he calls out the the LORD, “What shall I do with this people? A little more and they will stone me!” Exodus 17:4 The LORD instructs him to strike a rock with his staff and water will flow for the people to drink. Many people today are thirsty for the LORD and are seeking someone to guide them to know His Truth. The LORD our God has given all who surrender to living His Word the ability share the Living Waters of His Truth to satisfy the thirst of anyone by your practice, prayer and proclamation.

We should remind people all the time Christ died for all, the sinners of the world, as Paul reminds us today His Death on a Cross satisfies the debt of humanity. By His Death and Resurrection we live in a state of peace if we are willing to accept this call of faith to give us endurance to accomplish anything in the Name above all Names. “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” Romans 5:1 Many of you might say, “I would die for you” when speaking about a spouse or a close friend but can you die for the unGodly as described by Paul?

To die of self gives you faith, hope and courage to live for Christ’s Truth by helping those who seek God’s love to live in the peace described by Paul here in Romans. Live for Him by your work of love for those less fortunate than you. The homeless are dirty and need a bath. The lost are thirsty and need His living waters in you to drink. The afflicted are hungry and need to be fed God’s Word. Can you work for Him even when the people you help seem unclean, uneducated and unhappy? Jesus speaks to the Samaritan woman by the well and tells her “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again; but whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to Eternal Life.” John 4:13-14 Share your love of loving Christ by giving His Living Waters of Eternal Life by preaching the Gospel. Amen.

I’m sure many of you have heard me ask for prayers for a young man named Jhaysonn battling cancer in Gainesville. I share the following with you to describe how we can share the Gospel with strangers even when we don’t know them. When I was driving up to my friend’s house Friday to stay the night in Gainesville for my friend’s funeral, I saw a man in a yard next door and I stopped and yelled out “are you Jhaysonn’s dad?” He walked out to my car saying “no, who are you?” Well this chance meeting turned into a God-instance of meeting a Brother in Christ as we began to talk about our love of God together in his yard. Today I ask for prayers for him and his family.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, today I pray for James Sullivan and his family to have strength provided by You LORD to raise a 3-year-old little girl who they recently adopted. We pray today for Jhaysonn’s healing and peace as well as his family’s needs in housing and employment. Guide them and all of us LORD to be people of faith, hope, charity and love to serve humanity for Your Glory. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

My Father’s Will Comes Before Mine

Coming to a well to drink
Christ asked a girl to think
These waters will not quench
A life you live as a wench

Come to Me and see the depths
Of My living waters of lasting respect
A spring of Eternal Life to fulfill
My water is Truth that instills

Instills love, hope and charity
Even you can overcome abundantly
Living in sin can be forgiven truthfully
By following my Father’s Word faithfully

I am living for His Will to be done
My food is His Truth I share as fun
My Father’s Will comes before mine
In His Word humanity can live in peacetime

Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son

Wig’s Word of God Today 3-26-2011

Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son. Luke 15:21

Because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found. Luke 15:24

Micah 7:14-15, 18-20, Psalm 103:1-2, 3-4, 9-10, 11-12 & Luke 15:1-3, 11-32

Today I am in Gainesville to attend a funeral of life-long friend who died at the age of 48 of liver and kidney failure. His life will be celebrated today as the one who came home to his Father and now is resting in His arms of safety. As Micah reminds us today in our readings, my friend as all of us are special to God in our own divine plan to accomplish His Will receiving the forgiveness promised by His Son’s death on a Cross. “Who is there like you, the God who removes guilt and pardons sin for the remnant of His inheritance; Who does not persist in anger forever, but delights rather in clemency.” Micah 7:18

The Parable of the Lost Sheep is a familiar story who many of us have learned to embrace in our lives. The story celebrates the return of the lost sinner where God opens His arms of forgiveness through His Son’s obedience to His Will. No matter how far we stray off the path of life filling ourselves with lust, drunkenness and sin, our LORD will always welcome us back with a celebration unlike any we have ever experienced. He will guide you to become all you can for His Will to accomplish a Divine Plan that will celebrate your love of loving His Son Christ Jesus. My friend Brett Henley is being celebrated today as a compassionate, smiling and embracing friend of Jesus. As all of us, he will be welcomed home by his repentance and belief in our LORD Jesus Christ. Let us rejoice and be glad for anyone who finds his/her way home to the Eternal Glory of the Father. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today for the soul of all who are lost and have yet to be found. We pray they find their way back home by following the Light of Christ in all things. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,
Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

He Was Truly Lost but Now He is Found

A father gave all to his sons to feel
The love of God for work and zeal
The two were given all from his work
m>One gathered his stuff to exit and look

He left his home to far off lands
Spending his inheritance on sinful sands
Waking one day to see he was broke

His sinful ways stole his father’s yoke

Gathering his things he ventured back home
Stating he would repent and ask forgiveness sown

His father embraced him and covered him in silk
Once he was lost but now he is honey and milk

Fit for embracing as a son who repents
God’s forgiveness will never be spent
Once he was dead his life without sound
He was truly lost but now he is found

By this “will,” we have been consecrated through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all

Wig’s Word of God Today 3-25-2011

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you this sign: the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and shall name Him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14

By this “will,” we have been consecrated through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:10

The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called Holy, the Son of God. Luke 1:35b

Isaiah 7:10-14; 8:10, Psalm 40:7-8a, 8b-9, 10, 11, Hebrews 10:4-10 & Luke 1:26-38

“With us in God” proclaimed by Isaiah, it has been argued Isaiah didn’t need to know he was referring to the Savior of the world by the delivery of a King through the conception, pregnancy and birth powered by the Holy Spirit through the Virgin Mother of God. It was a divine prophesy many have believed that instilled the future of God’s Divine Pan for Humanity. The Apostle Paul shared with us in Hebrews the need to understand the sacrifices and offerings of old according to the law have been superseded by the sacrifice and offering of the Body of Christ. He stated, “it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats take away sins” for “behold, I come to do your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second. By this “will,” we have been consecrated through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

In Luke One we learn of the appearance of the Angel Gabriel who as the messenger of God proclaims to Mary, “Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.” Luke 1:28 “Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of David his father, and He will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of His Kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1:31-33 I can only imagine what it must have felt like to be asked to carry the Savior of the world. Her yes to God was our yes to forgiveness allowing mankind to forever embrace the Redemption of Sins. Amen. Your “yes” to God must be constant in a surrender to His Will in all things. To live His Will one must seek His Word, seek Him constantly in prayer and seek Him in your proclamation. Loving your love of Christ accomplishes the Will of God in your divine plan given to you by God. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Heavenly King, we pray today to always say yes as Mary did when she accepted Your Will in carrying the Savior of the World. We ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.

God Bless,
Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

Nothing is impossible for the LORD of the world- Luke 1

The Angel Gabriel swooped down on Galilee
Seeking the Virgin God choose for Humanity
Hail favored one you will carry the King
His life will be sinless and His death will ring

Forgiveness of sins for humanity to know
His life sinless and His Sacrifice will grow
Strength and courage for all to be
Living a life full of faith, hope and charity

Yes I will be the handmaid of the LORD
I will carry His Son to accomplish life’s reward
“May it be done to me according to your word”
Nothing is impossible for the LORD of the world

My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented

Wig’s Word of God Today 3-24-2011

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose hope is the LORD. Jeremiah 17:7

My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented. Luke 16:25

Jeremiah 17:5-10, Psalm 1:1-2, 3, 4 and 6 & Luke 16:19-31

There is a beauty in a prophet of old who trusts the LORD with all his heart and soul and shares his God-given revelations to save the people regardless of imprisonment or public disgrace. This trust in God came from Jeremiah who gave humanity courage to face evil with faith, hope and courage. His Oracles lead us up to chapter 31 and is commonly called the “Gospel before the Gospel” by many biblical scholars giving humanity a look at the forgiveness the Father will share with all mankind. Jeremiah reminds us to surrender to He Who created all and judges all by his statement; “I, the LORD, alone probe the mind and test the heart, To reward everyone according to his ways, according to the merit of his deeds.” Jeremiah 17:10 Loving your love of Christ will give you strength to trust in the LORD always to serve the poor, clothe the naked and feed the hungry anyplace, anytime or anywhere in the world. Amen.

Jesus tells the story of the unnamed rich man and the poor sickly man named Lazarus. He describes the poor man as the one “lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who would gladly have eaten his fill of the scraps that fell from the rich man’s table. Dogs even used to come and lick his sores.” Luke 16:20-21 Luke describes this parable with an effort to again warn humanity that being one of wealth is not as important as being a person of trust in the LORD keeping us aware repentance is needed before your death not afterwards from the depths of the Netherworld. “‘My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented. Moreover, between us and you a great chasm is established to prevent anyone from crossing who might wish to go from our side to yours or from your side to ours.” Luke 16:25-26

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today we stay focused on the Truth of Your Son to help the poor, care for the sick and feed the hungry. We have continual prayers for the Henley Family. Please give them peace my LORD. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

God’s Redemption a Covenant’s Right

He was rich and unnamed
Seeking to cool Satan’s flames
Not embraced by God’s love
His life of sin judged from above

A poor man named Lazarus lay at his door
Willing to eat his scraps from the floor
His body covered in torment of ugly sores
Even the dogs would lick the wounds he bore

At his death Lazarus was carried away by Angels
To the bosom of Abraham waiting and able
To comfort him and give him God’s love
His death would be honored by God above

The rich man died and was buried
His fate sealed in the box his family carried
To a grave to descend to eternal torture
The Netherworld his fate not his fortune

Begging from below to be comforted from pain
His soul in eternal torment from Satan’s flames
Asking to be cooled by the tip of his tongue
No passing the chasm is allowed by anyone

This line is drawn in the sand on earth
God’s says to repent before entering the dirt
His Son is the Way and the Light of life
God’s Redemption a Covenant’s Right

Whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant

Wig’s Word of God Today 3-23-2011

Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave. Just so, the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. Matthew 20: 26b-28

Jeremiah 18:18-20, Psalm 31:5-6, 14, 15-16 & Matthew 20:17-28

The Father has prepared a place for all of us in Heaven who believe His Son has prepared a Way for those who embrace Him as the True and Only Way to get to Eternal Life. Jesus explained to the mother who wished her two sons will sit on His right and left in heaven that it was not His to give away as the other 10 disciples became upset and bitter. “He replied, ‘My cup you will indeed drink, but to sit at my right and at my left (, this) is not mine to give but is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.’ When the ten heard this, they became indignant at the two brothers.” Matthew 20:23-24

There is a lot to be said by His reply because it shows us the importance of serving here in earth is not about position and status but serving the less fortunate than you and giving your all to proclaiming the Gospel providing faith, charity and love to the lonely, the sick and dying and the hungry and homeless. Establish in your heart the need to be giving not worrying about where you will sit in Heaven but how you will share Christ’s love here on earth. In the eyes of the needy you will find Christ’s smile of forgiveness and love. Loving your love of Christ will open your eyes to His Truth providing faith to those who need His love the most sharing a roadmap to His Eternal Kingdom. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear Heavenly King, we pray today for the soul of Brett Henley who passed on to Your care yesterday at the age of 48. May his wife Erica and family find peace knowing Your Truth embraces his soul. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted

Wig’s Word of God Today 3-22-2011

The greatest among you must be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted. Matthew 23:11-12

Isaiah 1:10, 16-20, Psalm 50:8-9, 16bc-17, 21 and 23 & Matthew 23:1-12

Try immersing yourself into everything Holy. You know, get up with God on your mind and go to sleep with God on your mind. How does one keep the Fire of Christ burning inside their heart continually? You must be willing to humble yourself like a child to become Christ-like in all things. You must be willing to open your Bible and practice reading every word until you find every instruction to follow every day of your life.

You must be willing to read the Bible over and over again. You must be willing to pray unceasingly over everything in your life. Seek and you shall find should be a motto to follow every single moment of every day. You cannot do “life” alone for He is the reason to live for everything you want. In loving your love of Christ you become His servant to humble yourself before all creation to live for His Will. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today for my lifelong friend Brett Henley that You LORD may give him peace and receive his soul in Heaven if it is Your Will LORD. I pray for his family’s peace as well as our own. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven

Wig’s Word of God Today 3-21-2011

Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Luke 6:37

Daniel 9:4b-10, Psalm 79:8, 9, 11 and 13 & Luke 6:36-38

Everyone agrees we seem to be living in the times of chaos where “supernatural” things are occurring worldwide. From earthquakes to tsunamis and everything in between, we are living in troubled times. Daniel describes a society full of sin in need of repentance because they have not followed the laws and commandments presented to them by the prophets. “We have sinned, been wicked and done evil; we have rebelled and departed from your commandments and your laws. We have not obeyed your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, our fathers, and all the people of the land.” Daniel 9:5-6 The funny thing is a majority of the people in today’s world believe mankind should repent and follow the ways of the LORD but as a humanity nobody seems to understand what we should do about it. Obviously, there is nothing funny about the ugliness of sin in our society and the answer is to repent and be steadfast in your practice, prayer and proclamation. Amen!

Jesus tells us to stop judging and condemning and to forgive as we too will be forgiven. There was young 9-year-old boy I met this past Saturday fishing who kept saying he was sorry over and over again for asking me to borrow bait and bait his hook. “I’m sorry,” he would say in that innocent southern child voice, “but I can’t get my bait to stay on my hook. Would you please put it on for me?” Once or twice a year, I take my now 12-year-old son, Jeff, fishing in the University of Florida catfish ponds in Gainesville. UF Fisheries opens the ponds for a family fishing day for free as long as we turn the fish loose once we land them. I was wearing my “I love Jesus Christ” T-shirt with the “Follow Me, I make you fishers of men” printed on the back. The little boy asked, “are you a Christian?” I smile proudly showing him the front of my shirt. “Me too” came the answer after reading my shirt. Just as the little boy kept saying over and over again that he was sorry for asking me to help him, we too must say we are sorry for judging and condemning and repent repeatedly to accomplish the Will of God.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today we can forgive guided by Your Word to accomplish harmony, forgiveness and peace. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our Lord, nor of Me

Wig’s Word of God Today 3-20-2011

So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our Lord, nor of Me, a prisoner for His sake; but bear your share of hardship for the Gospel with the strength that comes from God. 2 Timothy 1:8

And He was transfigured before them; His face shone like the sun and His clothes became white as light. Matthew 17:2

Genesis 12:1-4a, Psalm 33:4-5, 18-19, 20, 22, 2 Timothy 1:8b-10 & Matthew 17:1-9

Are you ashamed of your testimony in the LORD? Do you pray in public before your meals? Paul reminds us to bear our share of hardship for the Gospel, the Truth of Jesus Christ. By sharing His Truth we become strengthened by God’s Spirit to accomplish more in faith, charity and love.

He becomes the reason we rise and we fall and bearing witness to His call allows us to accept all as the Will of God. Where our love of loving Him shines like His Transfiguration before the Disciples in our smile, in our action and in our life. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray we are never ashamed to be a prisoner for the sake of the Gospel. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen
