We earnestly desire each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of hope until the end, so that you may not become sluggish, but imitators of those who, through faith and patience, are inheriting the promises

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-18-2011

We earnestly desire each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of hope until the end, so that you may not become sluggish, but imitators of those who, through faith and patience, are inheriting the promises. Hebrews 6:11-12

Hebrews 6:10-20, Psalm 111:1-2, 4-5, 9 and 10c & Mark 2:23-28

There is a desire reaching into the depths of Humanity’s soul by God for mankind to give Him all thanksgiving for the gift of life. He wants us all to come to know Him and His Son’s Redemption but only through our own free will. Our gift of learning how to praise and worship our LORD comes from the Gospel Teaching of Christ Jesus. Through His Holy Spirit we are afforded the grace to understand His Will in our life by spending time with Him alone in prayer. We can go to God’s House on Sundays and worship but it’s our one-on-one relationship we have with the Trinity through prayer in solitude that brings us joys and graces beyond our wildest imaginations. Loving your love of Christ fulfills this eagerness of His Redemption until the very end. Through your faith and patience, you too will inherit the promises given by God.

And so we pray: Heavenly father, we pray today we never become sluggish in our prayer and work for You LORD. May You grant us faith and patience to see Your Promise fulfilled until the very end. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,
Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

Son though He was, He learned obedience from what He suffered; and when He was made Perfect, He became the source of Eternal Salvation for all who obey Him

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-17-2011

Son though He was, He learned obedience from what He suffered; and when He was made Perfect, He became the source of Eternal Salvation for all who obey Him. Hebrews 5:8-9

Hebrews 5:1-10, Psalm 110:1, 2, 3, 4 & Mark 2:18-22

I’m sure many of you can attest to learning obedience to Christ by what you have suffered in your life. God has a way of allowing you to experience His Will in suffering that guides you to understand His Word better or shed’s His Son’s Light on your need to give more to those less fortunate than you. I have a few Crosses on my desk and I often sit and wonder what pain He must have gone through. I can only imagine what Christ endured for my sins as He was nailed to a tree and lifted up for all to see. Such humility and grace hanging there dying for your sin!

There is a story of two men who drew their strength from Christ’s Salvation. They both endured and fought for equal rights for all men and women no matter what their color. One of these men was imprisoned unjustly for 27 and half years never giving up that God would deliver him. He awoke each day knowing Jesus had endured so much more than he but he softened hearts and changed the minds of countless guards in those 27 and half years. He lived in complete forgiveness as his Lord and Savior had taught. He once said, “I am not a saint, unless you think of a saint as a sinner who keeps on trying.”

The other man vowed to never use violence in confronting segregation. He marched and spoke to anyone he could about the need to be free of being denied the right to walk into any hotel or restaurant and for all children to learn together instead of being separated. He never gave up “his dream” and was killed by a societal failure. He once said, “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” Nelson Mandela and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. lead lives of faith, hope, charity and love. Today be thankful for their love of loving Jesus. Amen.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, we pray today for the candidates and team of the Emmaus weekend. May their hearts always burn with Your Son’s love. We pray today for all Humanity celebrating the life Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who instilled a love of You LORD into millions of people everywhere. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Here I am; Your commands for me are written in the Scroll. To do Your Will is my delight; my God, Your law is in my heart!”

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-16-2011

Here I am; Your commands for me are written in the Scroll. To do Your Will is my delight; my God, Your law is in my heart!” Psalm 40:8-9

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world. John 1:29

Isaiah 49:3, 5-6, Psalm 40:2, 4, 7-8, 8-9, 10 , 1 Corinthians 1:1-3 & John 1:29-34

Labeled by many Bible Scholars as “The Greatest of the Prophets,” it is believed Isaiah was created to proclaim the Truth of God’s desires by Isaiah’s witness described in Isaiah, Chapter 6: “I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne, with the train of His garment filling the temple. Seraphim were stationed above; each of them had six wings: with two they veiled their faces, with two they veiled their feet, and with two they hovered aloft. “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts!” they cried one to the other. “All the earth is filled with His glory!”” Isaiah 6:1-3

Isaiah’s reaction to this witness of seeing the LORD was a realization that he was a man with unclean lips who lives amongst the peoples of unclean lips stating; “Woe is me, I am doomed! For I am a man of unclean lips, living among a people of unclean lips; yet my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, holding an ember which he had taken with tongs from the altar. He touched my mouth with it. “See,” he said, “now that this has touched your lips, your wickedness is removed, your sin purged.” Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” “Here I am,” I said; “send me!” Isaiah 6:5-8

My favorite Hymn has always been “Here I am LORD” because it reminded me of when I first was called by God to become a “Teacher of God’s Children” in the middle of the night when I visiting my father some seven years ago. “Here I am LORD, is it I LORD, I’ve heard You calling in the night. I will go LORD, if You need me, I will hold Your people in my heart.” Yesterday I went and helped out a Men’s Emmaus Retreat and I was reminded by God through my tears of joy that God has called all of us to do His Will by a surrender to His Son’s Truth. The Joy of Christ was in every smile I witness yesterday. The strength of Christ was in every hug or “un abrazo” as we say in our Emmaus Walk I received. This joy and strength of Christ is something I feel every morning when I get up to study and read His Word to accomplish His Will for my life. By loving your love of Christ, you too can be feel the call of Isaiah and know his feeling when he wrote: “I am made glorious in the sight of the LORD, and my God is now my strength! ” Isaiah 49:5c

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, it is with great joy in my heart that I pray today for all men who are completing their last day of the retreat “A Walk to Emmaus.” May their walk be guided by the Light of Your Son’s Truth by their faith, hope, charity and love. I pray they come to know the importance of Your Three P’s of Glorifying You Lord in their practice of reading their Bible daily, their praying unceasingly over everything and their proclamation of Christ’s love. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-15-2011

So let us confidently approach the Throne of Grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help. Hebrews 4:16

“Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.” Mark 2:17b

Hebrews 4:12-16, Psalm 19:8, 9, 10, 15 & Mark 2:13-17

By being steadfast in prayer and calling upon the LORD for every type of need you WILL hear His answer to any prayer you have requested. You have to remember your prayer might not be His Will and therefore you have to call to Him even more in thanksgiving and surrender. When you separate yourselves from the material goods of this world and seek only what is pleasing to God, then you will find that you are living His Will each and every day. There will come a time when you approach the “Throne of Grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help” by your life’s surrender to His Son’s Truth. Upon receiving it or recognizing that you already are dwelling amongst It (God’s Grace), you will fall to your knees and cry tears of joy seeking nothing more in life than to accomplish His Will through faith, hope, charity and love. “Indeed, the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 Many of you may not think of your Bible as living but here in Hebrews, God reminds us He is in each and every word is living to give you His ever reaching promises of Eternal Life and directions to live a life according to His decrees. Allow His Word to come alive in your heart and soul directing your every move in life and feel the power of Salvation.

There is many a person who is sick in the world. You may be one of them right now who are reading my words feeling the call to seek God’s help. God came to the world for you. God came to the world for anyone who is overcome by temptation of anything. Maybe you are fighting a drug addiction. Maybe you’re fighting a sex and porn addiction. Maybe you’re fighting a lost feeling of hopelessness. Whatever you are battling in your heart and souls Christ can heal because believe me every one of us is in need of His Love and Mercy. Humanity is born into sin and is sinners by our nature of being human. There is not a soul in the world that doesn’t need the safety and security of Christ Jesus.. Jesus said He did not come to the world to save the “righteous but sinners” meaning we are all sinners. If someone thinks they are not a sinner then they are not being truthful to their heart. Last night we had dinner in a Cracker Barrel and I was thinking about my call to share Christ’s love with anyone, anytime and anywhere as a man sat down next to us by himself to eat. After each of us finished ordering, I turned to him with confidence saying, “Hello, my name is Thomas Cruz-Wiggins and I believe God has called me to share the love of Christ with everyone, would you pray with us before our meal?” He said yes without hesitation and we all three prayed. In loving your love of Christ, you too can extend a hand to a stranger in Christ’s name to help someone find grace in timely help. Amen.

And so we pray: My Lord and My God, today we pray for an Emmaus Retreat weekend occurring this weekend in St. Louis church. May the team be filled with the Spirit of Your Love to share the Good News of Your Son’s Truth for Your Glory. We pray Tommy Leong’s witness yesterday struck a cord of Christ’s love in the hearts of many men for the Glory of You, LORD. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on earth

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-14-2011

But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on earth  Mark 2:10

Hebrews 4:1-5, 11, Psalm 78:3 and 4bc, 6c-7, 8 & Mark 2:1-12

Jesus is the Messiah; the Son of God. Do you believe it? In your heart and soul does your love of Him ache and want to understand more of His Truth? Then you are responsible for sharing His Gospel with anyone you meet. I know, it takes a lot of courage to talk to complete strangers about God and His Only Son Jesus. But you must for the sake of mankind. “Trust in the LORD forever! For the LORD is an eternal Rock.” Isaiah 26:4 He will guide you just as He guided the paralytic to a place of forgiveness and healing.

This call of sharing His Truth is recognized by being obedient to His Word and living the Gospel in everything we do. “In the same way, the Lord ordered that those who preach the gospel should live by the Gospel.” 1 Corinthians 9:14 The LORD calls us to love your love of His Son by living His Truth and trusting in His Authority to forgive sins of all Humanity. There is a natural joyous suffering that goes along with this call from Christ to be a true Disciple of living His Word. A suffering embraced and relished giving you strength to conquer anything in the Name of Christ Jesus. People will see it written all over your face. Be strong and be not afraid.

And so we pray: My LORD and my God, today I pray for my Brother in Christ Tommy Leong who is giving his testimony at our morning Prayer Muffin Group. LORD, be his heart, be his soul as he shares his love of loving Your Son. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Take care, brothers, that none of you may have an evil and unfaithful heart, so as to forsake the living God

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-13-2011

Take care, brothers, that none of you may have an evil and unfaithful heart, so as to forsake the living God. Hebrews 3:12

Hebrews 3:7-14, Psalm 95:6-7c, 8-9, 10-11 & Mark 1:40-45

The Living God is seen in everything around us giving us faith, hope and love. God wants us to give Him our best worship as He has given our best in everything the world has to offer. If you wake early and pray to Him daily keeping a faithful heart staying away from ugliness, self-righteousness and sin, you focus on the Glory of God giving you His Power to accomplish anything. You have to live in an adamancy or steadiness of renewing your surrender to God and His Only Son each and every day by focusing on the Cross feeling the Power of God. When Jesus touched the Leper and made him clean, He renewed the man’s life by the Power of the Father.

The author of Hebrews seeks to strengthen our commitment to Glorify God and Christ by using Psalm 95 and the story of the Exodus to remind us of God’s faithfulness and His Powerful Judgment to keep us on track of living for His Kingdom of Truth. You must be on guard to keep His Commandments to stand free of guilt when judgment day arrives and live in the Salvation granted to us by the life, death and resurrection of Christ Jesus. The world as we know it will return to God by “encourage(ing) yourselves daily while it is still “today,” so that none of you may grow hardened by the deceit of sin.” Hebrews 3:13 In loving our love of Christ, we seek to have a faithful heart to enter into the rest of God by the Salvation of Jesus Christ.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, we pray today we may always have a faithful heart to Glorify You in hope, faith, charity and love. Be our guide of everlasting Truth. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Because He himself was tested through what He suffered, He is able to help those who are being tested

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-12-2011

Because He himself was tested through what He suffered, He is able to help those who are being tested. Hebrews 2:18

Hebrews 2:14-18, Psalm 105:1-2, 3-4, 6-7, 8-9 & Mark 1:29-39

We all live with temptation each and every day allowing ourselves to learn how to be faithful to God’s plan in our lives. It is something we cannot escape giving us courage to accomplish a Divine Plan laid out for us since the beginning of time. There will be trials and tribulations for each of us in our own special way designed by God through an ever functioning presence He allows to take place by His amazing grace. Every person experiences this temptation; your pastors, your parents, saints of all eternity and yes, even Jesus. These temptations are something we will face because simply put; we are human. It’s how we act on this temptation that defines our lives.

Jesus took the time we learn in the Bible to separate Himself and pray often. “Rising very early before dawn, He left and went off to a deserted place, where He prayed.” Mark 1:35 A trait we must learn to follow ourselves and something I commit myself to each and every day. No matter what I am experiencing in my life through temptation and disappointments, I get up early every day at 4:44 AM to get closer to God through studying His Word, praying and proclaiming. Prayerful living can overcome any type of temptation by seeking God’s wisdom in His Word and surrendering it all to Christ Jesus. We must learn that loving our love of Christ requires us to experience temptation to live a complete life in God’s Will. I’ve heard it said many times in my life: It’s not how you start the race, it’s how you finish it.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, today we pray unceasingly for Jhaysonn’s cure and funding of treatment Medicaid has stopped paying for. We pray people will go to this link Lord and donate if they can to help this young seek a cure for his cancer: www.jhaysonnscure.com. We pray Lord to overcome temptation by Your love to gudide us to be faithful to Your Word. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

“What have You to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are–the Holy One of God!”

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-11-2011

In their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit; he cried out, “What have You to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are–the Holy One of God!” Mark 1:23-24

 Hebrews 2:5-12, Psalm 8:2ab and 5, 6-7, 8-9 & Mark 1:21-28

The Son of God proved Himself humble being subjected to all things human to conquer sin by overcoming death and therefore being exalted above all creation. Through His life, suffering and death, Jesus showed Humanity what the Father was willing to allow happen to accomplish the forgiveness of sins by His Only Son being nailed to a Cross for the Salvation of Humanity. “For it was fitting that He, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many children to glory, should make the leader to their salvation perfect through suffering.” Hebrews 2:10

Jesus came and taught with authority because He was the Son of God and while He was able to have everything subjected to His power, He lowered Himself to be one of us to show His true humility of living a life free of sin as a poor carpenter’s son. The people were astonished by His teachings; “All were amazed and asked one another, “What is this? A new teaching with authority. He commands even the unclean spirits and they obey him.” Mark 1:27 By loving our love of Christ we embrace His Truth and follow His teachings to accomplish the WIll of God by glorifying the Father.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, we pray today to solve special intentions by living Your Will in a complete surrender to Your Son’s Truth. Happy 74th birthday to my father Thomas Earl Wiggins in Jesup, Georgia. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

He spoke to us through a Son, whom He made heir of all things and through whom He created the universe

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-10-2011

In times past, God spoke in partial and various ways to our ancestors through the prophets; in these last days, He spoke to us through a Son, whom He made heir of all things and through whom He created the universe. Hebrew 1:1-2

Hebrews 1:1-6, Psalm 97:1 and 2b, 6 and 7c, 9 & Mark 1:14-20

Hebrews is known as a “message of encouragement” to strengthen your belief in the One Who came to proclaim the Truth of God. Your Apostleship here on earth is rooted in a relationship with God’s Only Son Christ Jesus. Today’s world is full of different causes to follow but the One and most important Cause is the Eternal Life offered to us by our surrender and love of the Father’s Son. He is the reason why Simon, Andrew, Zebedee and John left their boats to become “fishers of men.”

By learning how to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, these ordinary men of the time became extraordinary preachers of the Gospel. There is a need to be passionate about your love of loving Christ to accomplish the Will of the Father in all things. God never said following His Son was going to be easy. On the contrary, it’s going to be tough. Your diligence in being faithful to His Decrees brings you and me to special place amongst His Heavenly Angels. It is up to you and I to continue this “message of encouragement.”

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, today we pray for my son Jeffrey who turned 12 yesterday. May he learn Your love will guide him forever more. We pray to always be a message of encouragement rooted in the Gospel of Your Son. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

And a voice came from the heavens, saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-9-2011

And a voice came from the heavens, saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17

Isaiah 42:1-4, 6-7, Psalm 29:1-2, 3-4, 3, 9-10, Acts 10:34-38 & Matthew 3:13-17

As Jesus comes up from the water from being Baptized by John, the heavens open and the Spirit of God descends on Jesus and the people hear “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Many biblical scholars contribute this to several areas in the Old Testament that include Isaiah 42:1, Psalm 2:7 and Genesis 22:2. Each of these point out a particular action of God being well pleased with the fulfillment of His Will. This fulfillment of God was completed on earth through the life and death of Christ Jesus. Amen!

Many of us want to rush the plan God has for our lives. When you can’t understand what God is calling you do then you must wait. Be prayerful and seek to sanctify your life in His Will by becoming more involved in service work for the Lord. There are times you may experience a business relationship gone bad, a friendship ending or situations that seem to take years to work themselves out but we must wait and be patient with God. Don’t rush His Will in your life by acting on impulse. Be prayerful and allow God to work His miracles in your life. God is teaching you through His timing to become more Holy and experience His Son’s Truth in a way that delivers us complete in a Surrender to loving your love of Christ Jesus. Amen!

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, we pray today for the unexplainable acts of violence that occurred in Arizona. We pray for the victims and the families of all people concerned Lord. Heal them and give them peace. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
