Therefore, I bear with everything for the sake of those who are chosen

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-10-2010

Therefore, I bear with everything for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they too may obtain the Salvation that is in Christ Jesus, together with eternal glory.

2 Timothy 2:102 Kings 5:14-17, Psalm 98, 2 Timothy 2:8-13 & Luke 17:11-19

How do you know who is chosen to talk to about the Salvation of Christ Jesus? Do you hear a voice in your head that says “talk to that person about Jesus?” We are commanded to preach the Gospel to everyone we meet but do you really feel this is possible? The answer is a resounding YES! You proclaim by your daily walk by praying to the Spirit, “with all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit. To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the holy ones and also for me, that speech may be given me to open my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Gospel Ephesians 6:18 -19 A surrender to His Truth is shown in everything you do and people will see this.

A friend of mine told me a story of a time he was in a Home Depot and he heard a voice as he was checking out saying, “tell this checkout girl about Jesus.” He scoffed at himself thinking he wasn’t going to do it but as he was departing her he said, “do you know Jesus?” Her reply was, “I know of Him.” He walked away and began to drive home and began thinking of a Rosary he had purchased on a mission trip that was made of rosewood. The voice kept telling him to get it and take it back to her. Well, he did, with some hesitance but as he walked back into the Home Depot he found her all be herself at the end checkout (divine instance) and walked up to her handing her the Rosary. She thanked him with an embrace and more small talk about the Lord and he left. Six months later he received a call from her and she asked if she could come over. Showing up with a small box of candy he invited her into his home and as they sat down she explained what an impact his Christ-like gesture has had in her life the past six months. Her family life has begun a new and her nitpicking of her husband has stopped and their relationship has grown closer in the Lord. She continued to tell him her life had changed from him listening to a voice in his head stating “ask her if she knows Jesus.” Just like the Prophet Elisha, my friend is a man of God who helped a woman clean up her life and heal her marriage by the power of the Lord. Accepting no favors, my friend pursued sharing the Lord for the Salvation of a Soul in need.

What I really want all of you to know about my friend is that he did this in the midst of a battle with cancer never swaying to his illness to give all he has to the Love of Christ Jesus. His battle with cancer continues and his love of the Lord is resolute praying to be healed but accepting the Will of God in all things. Who will you talk to the Lord about today? Can you share the Gospel of Christ Jesus while suffering from any type of illness of troubles? Jesus cleansed 10 lepers but only one returned to thank the Lord giving the one pardon by his faith while allowing the other 9 to remain clean. Loving your love of Christ will allow you to bear all things for the sake of His Truth for as it is written: “This saying is trustworthy: If we have died with Him we shall also live with Him; if we persevere we shall also reign with Him. But if we deny Him He will deny us. If we are unfaithful He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.” 2 Timothy 2:11-13 My friend has persevered even though a terrible cancer is eating away at his body but his soul has received the Promise of the Lord and he is thankful. Are you being thankful today while proclaiming the Gospel of Christ Jesus?

And so we pray: Dear Abba Father, I thank You for giving me the strength to persevere to share the Gospel of Your Son to complete strangers. I ask in faith that you heal my friend allowing him to continue share Your Son’s Truth with the world. I accept all things in Your Holy Name Lord and I confidently proclaim that I will never deny You anytime, anyplace or anywhere. In Jesus Name we pray. AMEN.

I have dealt with great things that I do not understand; things too wonderful for me

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-2-2010

I have dealt with great things that I do not understand; things too wonderful for me, which I cannot know. Job 42:3

 Job 42, Psalm 119 & Matthew 18

The Lord calls on us to understand so little but accomplish so much. There are things we will never understand as humans. His love for us protects us from knowing everything. With such knowledge we would destroy life.  Job recognized this and he announced this to God when God spoke to him. Job’s surrender to God was resolute and could not be broken even when his entire family was taken from him and he was reduced to ashes.  By Job’s response to satan’s demise, the Lord blessed Job abundantly in his latter years and started a new.  The Bible tells us that Job’s daughters were the most beautiful woman in the world because of God’s blessings and his livestock grew into thousands living while Job lived to a “ripe old age.” I must admit my wife must be a descendant from Job’s bloodline for she is the most beautiful woman I have ever known. I too was reduced to nothing, homeless and out of work sleeping in bushes and living from a soup kitchen. His plan for me was too great for me to envision on my own.  A Trust I could give to living His Will.

But God had greater plans for me by my surrender to His Truth through His Word. The day I picked up a Bible, my strength came back to me and I have lived in His Love every second of every day since. The day was in Jesup, Georgia, and I was looking at a Bible my father had on his desk. The Good Book sat there covered in dust but radiant white with gold letters. I picked it up and felt a change in me and I sat with it outside in the sun on my daddy’s porch and began to read the Truth of Life. My life changed that day as I would soon discover by being told by an Angel to “become a Teacher of God’s children.” Just as Job, I have learned to give everything over to the Lord in thanksgiving. Being thankful for everything He gives me, everything He keeps from me and everything he takes away.  My joy too is resolute and everlasting.

Yesterday, I listened to a pastor talk about Jesus describing us to “become like children” allowing our heart, mind and soul to accept all things God teaches us as humans. His description of being childlike yet responsible captured my desires of giving everything about me to the Lord’s guidance. I agreed with his statement God did not instruct us to become childlike in our actions and responsibilities but to become childlike in our acceptance of God’s Divine Plan for our lives accepting His Truth as our guidance. Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:11-12 reminds us that (as a child) “I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things. At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known.” Loving your love of Christ allows you to experience who will be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven and this Truth will establish Christ-like adult behaviors for sharing His Love with the world. Be child-like in your understanding yet maturely driven in God’s Plan for your life.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, Your wisdom is so Great, we know we can never understand everything but we thank you for the Trinity to give us faith, hope and charity. Grant us wisdom to be child-like in our love for You as we live to see Your Will done in all things. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Angels in Heaven to See

He can do all things
Life is Him abundantly
Created by His Breath
Nostrils of air Eternally

Ashes to dust to repent
His love gives life
Body’s joy completely spent
His Son’s Truth He sent

Latter days can be blessed
No matter what your life impressed
Homeless or troubles to rest
On the shoulder of His Son of no stress

A beauty all can see
In your wife, your children abundantly
Living through His love
Guided by His Truth openly

Knowledge and wisdom to Trust
Ordinances for the just
Discernment on my knees
The joy of learning Your faithful decrees

A Light of Truth You shared
God’s people are like children we dared
Simple understanding so fair
Joined to Christ Jesus we care

Greatest in Heaven to seek
Child-like attitude to greet
Angels in Heaven to see
Shining on God’s face for thee

Which is the way to the dwelling place of light

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-01-2010

Which is the way to the dwelling place of light, and where is the abode of darkness, that you may take them to their boundaries and set them on their homeward paths? Job 38: 19-20

Job 38:12-21/ 40:3-5, Psalm 139 & Luke 10:13-16

Do you ever feel like your living your vocation and not working an occupation? What an amazing feeling it is to live your vocation where the Light of Christ dwells and illuminates everything you do. Do you believe you have found “the way to the dwelling place of light” as you enter your workplace each day? Or is your place of employment gloomy resting in the “the abode of darkness?” Job is being questioned by our God and He sets him straight by asking questions that should make you think even today. “I will question you, and you tell me the answers! Where were you when I founded the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its size; do you know? Who stretched out the measuring line for it? Into what were its pedestals sunk, and who laid the cornerstone, While the morning stars sang in chorus and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” Job 38: 4-7 Can you see the Angels here described as “morning stars” flying about singing songs of praises for the Lord? Job’s answer doesn’t surprise me for what man can really answer the Lord’s question of creation? “Behold, I am of little account; what can I answer You?” Job 40:4

When you find this vocation as many of my friends already have, you find the place that illuminates your path and forms a bond between you and creation where the Love of God is first and foremost in your mind, actions and soul. Everything in your life aligns with the Will of God and you experience God’s graces from the moment you wake up to the moment you say your prayers at night before resting your head in dreams of Christ’s Salvation. When I became a teacher of God’s children, I surrendered everything I do in the Name of the Lord where I am guided by Christ’s statement to proclaim His Truth to all I see for I know in my soul that “whoever listens to you listens to Me. Whoever rejects you rejects Me. And whoever rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.” Luke 10:16 Loving your love of Christ allows you to find your vocation to accomplish God’s Will in all you do.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, we thank you for allowing us live a life of vocation by our actions of faith, hope and charity. Make us a people of Truth who seek to accomplish Your Will in all we do. We pray Your Dwelling Place of Light will give us a Beacon to share Your Son’s Truth with Humanity where fear and confusion leave us and the dark one will never enter our soul. We ask this in Jesus Name Who lives and Reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever. Amen!

God Bless,

How little We Are in Life to See

Through a storm of uncertainty
To a life of vocation
Trust in His Word
To guide every situation

Shake the wicked from the trees
Falling to the ground on their knees
Seeking a Truth of every need
Seeing and believing in His Truth to see

Be careful of the darkness behind hell’s gate
Waiting to capture your soul to create
The death of souls and wicked relate
Rebuke these spirits of satan’s state

How little we are in life to see
God’s Graces for all to be
Allowing our work to be truly seen
A reflection of God’s Love Eternally

Your journeys He will Light from His joyous Love
Look to the stars floating above
Not a care in the world or fright to feel
The Holy Spirits joy seen and real

Everlasting guide from what you become
From His Word and Salvation from His Only Son
Seek His Truth to share with the world
Heaven’s accord will guide your door

He who rejects you will never know
A God whose Love will forever sow
The Blood of Salvation from Calvary
Dripping to cover the world from eternal tragedy

The LORD is my Light and my Salvation

Wig’s Word of God Today 09-30-2010

The LORD is my Light and my Salvation; whom do I fear? The LORD is my life’s refuge; of whom am I afraid? Psalm 27:1

Job 19, Psalm 27 & Luke 10

This morning I awoke early at 4:44 AM.  I hurried to my computer to open my Bible and study His Word and I noticed the Internet was down.  Ug.  I immediately called Tech Support to find out what I already knew: sector outage.  Ug.  My study would have to wait until lunch as I rushed home just now to type as fast I can to declare my love of the Lord.  I have already read the three readings for the day but I was called by the Holy Spirit to share “The LORD is my Light and my Salvation; whom do I fear? The LORD is my life’s refuge; of whom am I afraid?” Psalm 27:1  Obviously, the Lord’s Will teaches me patience and my desires sometimes take a backseat to His Will.  Job we learn continues to hold steadfast to our Lord for all things.  Not cursing our God but longing to witness He “Whom I myself shall see: my own eyes, not another’s, shall behold Him.” Job 19:27

I too believe I will see the Bounty of the Lord by my faith, by my hope and by my charity to mankind.  I will give until I have no more to give but my body, my mind and my soul.  My courage and determination to give all I have to the Lord comes from knowing His Promise by the Blood of His only Son, Christ Jesus.  Seek not fleeting passes with work, joys of the flesh and stupidity but grasp a hold of His Promise and empty yourself of all desires other than His Riches of Eternal Life.  Allow people to see this Light from you that shines from a far and gives Eternal calm and soothing pleasure.

And so we pray:  Dear Lord, today I continue to learn patience from Your Will where I accept anything life has to offer as goodness of learning Your Truth.  Guide me to be an example with the joy of Discipleship urging my every move.  As I walk for You, I walk in Truth covered by Your Grace.  Make me an example of Your Son’s Love for all to see seeking only to accomplish Your Will.  In Jesus Name we pray.  Amen.

God Bless,

Romans 8:28

Rich I am in the Lord

Seeking His Glory
Can’t come fast
Sometimes we are afforded
Eternal Life to grasp

I prey upon the lonely
I prey upon the drab
I seek to share His Wisdom
Eternal Love to nab

Place not pity on me
See His Light shine through
I am His servant
In everything I see and do

In the Lord I have courage
His Truth to ever abide
A life of Surrender
Joy of Christ to guide

I will walk about without any money
Rich I am in the Lord
I can buy anything my heart desires
Forever living by His Accord

Laboring has come up short
From an harvest abundant and true
Gifts from the Holy Sprit
Will guide Salvation anew
