Of this I became a minister by the gift of God’s grace that was granted me in accord with the exercise of His power

Wig’s Word of Goid Today 10-20-2010

Of this I became a minister by the gift of God’s grace that was granted me in accord with the exercise of His power. Ephesians 3:7

Ephesians 3:2-12, Isaiah 12:2-3, 4bcd, 5-6 & Luke 12:39-48

When I read the Word of God, I too feel like Paul’s description that “accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in Whom we have boldness of speech and confidence of access through faith in Him.” Ephesians 3:12 My focus draws on the Holy Spirit and you can see me mouthing the Words “Come Holy Spirit, come” as I approach the Alter. I feel the Grace of God upon me and “I am confident and unafraid. My strength and my courage is the LORD, and He has been my Savior.” Isaiah 12:2 We all have been given this Grace and it is up to us to manifest it through our surrender to a life of Christ. Grow in faith and love with your family, my spouse (miss you) and I want to share. Our love of Him a witness. Seeking souls for Christ to care.

The more I grow in the Lord, the more I feel the need to share His Truth. My confidence level of talking about God’s Promise has increased so and I find myself unafraid to speak to strangers about Christ’s Salvation. There is no need to quote Scripture or read out of the Bible to do this. We find strength in the Holy Spirit Who guides our tongue to words of Joy by our practice and prayer of studying God’s Word. As Jesus reminded us, “You also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.” Luke 12:40 By loving your love of Christ, you will be prepared by your practice and prayer and proclamation. Be diligent in His Truth and you too will become “unafraid.”

And so we pray: Dearest Lord, we pray today we are diligent for You. Grant us wisdom and confidence in Your Son’s Truth to share His Salvation with all we meet. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have become near by the Blood of Christ

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-19-2010

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have become near by the Blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13

Ephesians 2:12-22, Psalm 85:9ab-10, 11-12, 13-14 & Luke 12:35-38

All divisions among Humanity have been ended by the Prince of Peace Who shed His Blood on the Cross for all mankind. His Foundation established “The Church” afforded to everyone to reconcile the old with the new where His New Covenant teaches love can overcome anything in this world. No one is denied the right to come to Christ and He will reconcile you by your admission and repentance of sins. Seek to share this peace given to all and live in His Love always.

Do you find yourself vigilant about Christ’s return by your prayer life and surrender to His Will in all you do? Are you ready to meet your Maker with peace, confidence and joy? Carry your Bible with you and be ready for you have no idea when the Lord will come and take you to His Heavenly Home if you are worthy to enter His House. Christ Himself told us to pray unceasingly, “Will not God then secure the rights of His chosen ones who call out to Him day and night? Will He be slow to answer them?” Luke 18:7 The Lord will answer your call by living His Will in good times and in bad times. Be ready to meet your Maker by loving your love of Christ in study, prayer and proclamation.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, grant us Your favor by the Light of Christ Who illuminates all things in our life. Make us a people ready to see Your face with peace in our hearts. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-18-2010

Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves. Luke 10:3

2 Timothy 4:10-17b, Psalm 145:10-11, 12-13, 17-18 & Luke 10:1-9

Sometimes even people we call friends in Christ will abandon the faith because of worldly passions and destroy their own inheritance offered to us by Christ’s Blood on the Cross. Remember only true friends in Christ will never abandon you when adversity enters your life but rally around you to lift you up out of the haze and welcome you in His Holy Name. It’s tough to stay faithful when there is so much “shinning evil” around you. Satan lurks in every dark shadow around us causing us to question our faith and test our commitment to the Lord. The Lord is standing by you as Paul reminds us and He will give you strength to overcome and proclaim the Good News without delay.

The Apostle’s Walk has strong needs in today’s world. I feel the need to accomplish my own Apostle Walk for the Lord and I will allow His Joy to shine in my smile and I will share His Truth to all I meet. My walk is a daily devotion I have to sharing the Love of Christ Jesus. Where are you in your walk for the Lord? Loving your love of Christ while walking the earth will guide you even when you are a lamb among wolves. Seek to share His compassion, His humility and His charity to complete strangers and God will Light your path with His Love and Protection.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, guide us amongst the wolves of sin and show us Your strength when we get weary. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

God Bless,

Guide Your Life

Leave not the Love of Loves
Seek not the darkness of sin
Guide your life by the Light of Truth
Even when people abandon you, you win
Look for the Kingdom of Kingdoms

Imagine your walk along the streams
Angel’s harp will flutter by
While Saints and Apostles dance and sing

The harvest will always be plenty
Share His Truth just as the 72
Give peace to every household you enter
Walk among the wolves in Truth
Cure the sick and feed the poor
Guide your life to ever more
Repeating His Love for Humanity’s need
The Kingdom of God is at hand indeed

Proclaim the Word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-17-2010

Proclaim the Word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching. 2 Timothy 4:2

Exodus 17:8-13, Psalm 121:1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 2 Timothy 3:14-4:2 & Luke 18:1-8

Almost fours years ago, a friend at my weekly Prayer Muffin told me he would help me send out my daily study I had just started doing if I ever need someone to do it when I was out of town. I was reminded of him today when I prayed over Exodus 17 drawing the two situations in relationship to one another. Moses climbing to the top of the hill as Joshua fought Amalek below holding his staff high in the air so Amalek would be defeated by God’s army. His arm grows tired and the advantage turns to Amalek until Aaron and Hur placed Moses on a rock and hold his arm up high in place for him. The Bible tells us Joshua’s army “mowed down Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.” Calling out to your God-fearing friends in times of need are so important. Together we overcome any obstacle by trusting in the Lord as One Body of Christ. Be not afraid of reaching out to someone when you are in need of prayer or to help you win a battle of addiction over any thing you may be fighting. God can help you win with His Army in place around you.

I have special feelings about 2 Timothy because I haven’t waivered in proclaiming the Word of God daily in almost four years. My persistence has grown from getting up at 7 AM every day to getting up at 5 AM every day to study the Word of God and sharing with just over 650 people. Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, my motive is always the same: to Glorify God in all things. Jesus reminds us of how important prayer persistence is by the Parable of the Widow and the Judge. Jesus Himself began with the Word of God where all writings are Divinely Inspired as His guide in prayer and prayed and fasted often. I was asked the other day in a prayer workshop directed by a friend, “why did Jesus pray?” Many agreed Jesus prayed to show an example of prayer life and while I agree with that explanation I believe Jesus also prayed to stay in Communion with God the Father to draw strength, persistence and courage to be steadfast to His call of saving the world from sin by dying on the Cross for Humanity. Loving your love of Christ allows you to be persistent in your Practice (reading your bible), persistent in your Prayer and persistent in your Proclamation. Be steadfast for the Glory of God! Hallelujah!

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, I pray today for all people who take the time to read Your Word through my writings that they become filled with faith, hope, charity and love. May we always look to friends of Godly stature in times of need as we call out together to You for guidance and protection. Teach us to be persistent gaining strength from Your Word each and every day. We pray we always Proclaim the Word of God with faith in the Name of above all names: Christ Jesus. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

Wage war over injustice
Seek help from friends in God
Guided by your persistence
Just as Moses held up his rod

Be steady from sunrise to sunset
Learn to share His Word to those in need
God’s Promise is everlasting
Help those learn from your seed

Look to the tops of mountains
Where God rests in the clouds
His love casts shadows of joy
His Word calms even the proud

Be faithful in times of trouble
Be faithful in times of need
Wisdom comes from seeking
The Truth of God indeed

God inspired the Bible
Written by His choice to be
A vessel of His Promise
A storyteller faithful to He

The Word is to be proclaimed in confidence
Shared with the strong and weak alike
Always convenient to the wise of knowledge
Guided by the Strong Arm of Might

A widow in her persistence
Taught us to be faithful to His Truth
Celebrate His Will in judgments
Your faith in Him as proof

For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-16-2010

“For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say.” Luke 12:12

Ephesians 1:15-23, Psalm 8:2-3ab, 4-5, 6-7 & Luke 12:8-12

The Word of God allows “the eyes of (your) hearts (to) be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to His call, what are the riches of glory in His inheritance among the holy ones, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power for us who believe, in accord with the exercise of His great might, which He worked in Christ, raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavens,  far above every principality, authority, power, and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the one to come.” Ephesians 1:18-21 A Great Might which renews an attitude in you to accomplish the Will of God in all things.

Every Friday morning, I get up at 4 AM and I study the bible allowing the Holy Spirit to fill my soul as the words come from my heart to share with Humanity before I go to a weekly Prayer Muffin with about 100 men where we share stories of faith, hope, charity and love. The Holy Spirit directs me in all things including times when I question myself because God’s Will led me to situations that scared me and made me discouraged. It is when we experience times like this is we should call upon our friends in the Lord and ask them for prayers and then get down on our knees or hold our hands high and just ask the Holy Spirit to guide us. In all circumstances the Holy Spirit will guide you by just letting go and letting God rule your thoughts, your needs and your actions. Yesterday morning at 5:53 AM this exact thing happened to me.

I left my neighborhood on the way to Mass and Prayer Muffin when I changed lanes on a pitch black dark road and out of nowhere I hit a bicyclist going about 45 MPH where his pedal creased my front corner panel and his handle bars took my side view mirror completely off my car with a loud “boom.” I never saw him. As I slammed on breaks I was saying, “Lord please let him be ok” as I picked up the phone and called 911. All I could see in my rearview mirror was a clump on the side of the road. Thoughts of fright entered my mind: “Is he ok? Is he dead? Is he hurt bad?” As my mind wondered in and out of prayer repeating, “Dear God, please let him be Ok.” I was in shock but I thought of a friend in Christ who was going to the Prayer Muffin and I called him at 5:57 AM praying he would answer. “ring, ring, please answer, I need your prayers, ring, hello- Brother, this is Wig, I just hit a bicyclist on a dark road on my way to Muffin, please pray he’s Ok and ask everyone to pray for me.” He said he would and I hung up.

I called upon the Lord repeatedly as I got out of my car and walked back to him to find him walking towards me in the dark, only seeing a small light on his helmet bobbing up and down. “Thank God,” I yelled from a distance, “are you Ok.” He responded with my leg is hurt and I said, “please sit back down an ambulance is on the way.” Before the ambulance arrived I began praying with him as he stated, “I thought you were going to drive away.” Stopping the prayer I was speaking out loud I said, “God would not allow me to do that. Pray with me for your healing, forgiveness and peace of mind.” We began praying out loud to one another as the sirens and blue lights of police cars raced towards us.

The ambulance arrived and the EMT’s gave him a going over with a glowing report of being completely unscathed. There was nothing they could see nor was the man reacting to any of their exam in pain as they rubbed both his legs and looked for cuts or broken bones all over his body. I called upon the Lord as they examined him raising my hands high after making the sign of the Cross all the while a stream of slow moving cars driving by where they could see the shadows of my hands held high from the lights of the ambulance. The man refused to go to the hospital and asked me for a ride home. I agreed and both police cars followed us with his bicycle sticking out my trunk to his house. It turned out he lived in my neighborhood less than 1/2 mile away.

After getting his bike out and before the police gave me my driver’s license back, I again asked him to pray with me. We both prayed together again asking the Lord for healing, forgiveness and peace of mind. The police explained the man should have been wearing a reflective vest, a rear flashing red light and reflectors on his tires and because he wasn’t I would not be charged with anything. I thanked them and said, “May God bless you both in your work and keep you safe.” The Lord’s Will brings us to places of worry, discouragement and second guessing ourselves, but it is through a complete surrender to God that we can overcome anything by calling on His Holy Name.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, I feel blessed to call on Your Name in times of trials as well as times of feasting. Please give the man continued peace I hit yesterday. I trust in You Lord and I know the Holy Spirit will lead me when I speak of Your Son’s Truth Who saved Humanity from sin. Guide me to acknowledge You to anyone I meet. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Cease not to call on His Holy Name
Be exalted in the Author of Life
Where evil spirits are always tamed

Acknowledge Him before all you see
Raise your hands high up above
Praise Him for all you can be

He has conquered the grave for humanity’s sin
Shaking the Cross off His back to forever win
Salvation of souls glorified within
Accept His Truth to forever begin

Protection from Satan’s sinful glove

Speak not ill against the Spirit Who saves
For forgiveness is ruined by the Evil One’s ways
Call upon His Spirit to guide you to see
Mankind’s tongue guided with ease

“There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.”

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-15-2010

“There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.” Luke 12:2

Ephesians 1:11-14, Psalm 33:1-2, 4-5, 12-13 & Luke 12:1-7

Simple stories of truth showing faith, hope and love is what I pray I can write each and every day. I seek to model the compassion Christ He lived here on earth as He walked and talked to people who dropped everything they were doing to follow Him.  Paul reminds the Ephesians we are called according to the purpose of praising God and giving all glory to the Author of Life. The praise and glory we give to God allows us to be a vessel of God to share the Salvation of Sins with all Humanity. The inheritance of this Promise is allowed by Mankind for all Eternity and is bonded by the Holy Spirit to proclaim His Salvation to the world.

As men get older, many of us begin to lose our hair and we tend to put a lot of emphasis of what people around us are thinking about our hair loss. In fact God fashioned us in His Image, so I always imagine God created us this way allowing men to show more wisdom by our look of growing older. Yes, I can imagine myself looking like God because I know He created man in His own image. Luke reminds us, “there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known” so anything we say or do (even to our hair) will be known by the One and Only True God Who sees and hears everything. “Even the hairs of your head have all been counted.” Luke 12:7 If you feel you can whisper and be sinful in the dark without being noticed by our Lord and Savior, then you are not experiencing the Truth of Your Salvation. Loving your love of Christ shines a Light of Salvation on everything you say and do and is watched by an ever powerful God Who sees everything we do. Remember, God gave us Free Will to act in anyway we want to. Are you acting like God is watching everything you do?

And so we pray: Father God, we pray today our secrets are secrets we can share with anyone, anyplace or anytime. Give us everlasting courage to share the Truth of Salvation for the Glory of Your Kingdom. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

“Therefore, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send to them prophets and apostles; some of them they will kill and persecute’

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-14-2010

“Therefore, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send to them prophets and apostles; some of them they will kill and persecute’ in order that this generation might be charged with the blood of all the prophets shed since the foundation of the world” Luke 11:49-50

Ephesians 1:1-10, Psalm 98:1, 2-3ab, 3cd-4, 5-6 & Luke 11:47-54

There are 47 different locations in the New Testament describing persecutions of Christ, Prophets of Old and God-fearing men who by the love of God were chosen to proclaim all Glory for the Eternal One. I pray we never miss an opportunity to uphold life at all costs for anyone, anyplace or anytime by our love of His Word and commandments. Thou shall not kill is not just a Commandment to live by after people are born but rather at the moment of conception where life begins anew by the power of God through His Foundation of the world. When you come across someone talking about abortion, do you shy away from the subject and refuse to be a spokesperson for God’s Divine Plan? As I was checking out of a teacher store the other day, I overheard three young women in their late teens or early twenties discuss “hidden pregnancies.” I listened for a moment until one of them said, “my mom didn’t know she was pregnant with me until she was five months along. She told me I was supposed to be aborted because she thought she couldn’t handle a baby so young.” I spoke up and said, “Well thank God she didn’t. I will add that I pray if any of you ladies ever get pregnant in the future, you too will choose life. As a Pro-Life Reprehensive of my church, I pray for babies as often as I can on Saturdays at a local abortion clinic. By our presence and our prayers, we hope some of them will give life a chance.” With over 3000 babies dying every day in America, an unspeakable genocide has been occurring here in our own backyard. How many scientists, doctors and presidents have we already killed?

Paul in Ephesians 1:1-10 remind all people about the blessings God the Father has bestowed on humanity who believe the Blood of the Cross has saved the world from sin. The secret of God has been revealed by the New Covenant established on earth by God’s Walk among us where before the earth was formed His Truth would be revealed in Christ Jesus. The Will of the Lord Paul explains is to honor His Son’s Truth “He lavished upon us. In all wisdom and insight, He has made known to us the mystery of His Will in accord with His favor that He set forth in Him as a plan for the fullness of times, to sum up all things in Christ, in heaven and on earth.” Luke 11:8-10 By loving your love of Christ, you too are given the title “beloved” for the praise of the glory of His grace that He granted us.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, teach us to be a witness to Your Truth wherever we may be promoting life at all costs. We pray we are Apostles of faith, hope, charity and love. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-13-2010

In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

 Galatians 5:18-25, Psalm 1:1-2, 3, 4 and 6 & Luke 11:42-46

This past week one of our friends from our parish was coming to the end of her life here on earth after a battle with cancer. My wife and I stopped by there on Saturday late afternoon and her two sons said she hadn’t spoke in two days. As this beautiful 74-year-old woman lay there in a makeshift hospital bed brought in by Hospice as the sounds of an air machine sang in a corner, I witnessed the act of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control by the woman I affectionately call my soul-mate in Christ; my wife Toni. She began immediately talking to our friend in Christ-like tones of soothing love while rubbing her arms and legs telling her how beautiful she was and praying with her.

Unknown to my wife, tears of joy began to swell in my eyes while prayers of thanksgiving were being repeated un my mind, “thank You Lord, oh thank You Lord.” My wife made me so proud. I turned to one of the sons and I encouraged him to talk and touch his mom as well by telling her how much he loved her and how great a job she did raising him. With that said her son came closer and picked up her hand and began to rub it repeating over and over again how mush he loved her. He lent down whispering in his mother’s ear, “it’s Ok to go mom, I’ll be Ok.” His mother went to the Lord a short time later. It’s not easy to say goodbye to anyone but allowing the fruits of the Spirit to guide you will give you the courage to face adversity and despair with joy in your heart.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, I thank you for the fruits of the Spirit to guide us in living a life of faith, hope, charity and love. May we always be guided by the Law of Love given to us by the New Covenant of Your Son Christ Jesus. Guide us to be people of thanksgiving for all You have given us. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

You fools! Did not the Maker of the outside also make the inside?

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-12-2010

You fools! Did not the Maker of the outside also make the inside? Luke 11:40

Galatians 5:1-6, Psalm 119:41, 43, 44, 45, 47, 48 & Luke 11:37-41

I was reading an article yesterday a friend of mine sent me written by a human rights attorney titled “Answering the call: by their fruits you will recognize them.” He pointed out as Saint Paul pointes out in Galatians that what one says is not as important as what one does. In other words, you can follow the law or you can follow the freedom guaranteed to us by the Blood of the Lamb and live in faith knowing all things are lived according to the Will of God. What we do as Christians and how we conduct ourselves as Christians is more important than following the law created by man. Live by faith in Christ Jesus and allow your faith to remain strong in Him whether we experience victory or defeat. For it is through a complete surrender of God’s Will can we celebrate all things as the Glory of God Almighty.

Jesus reminds us to live for God and all aspects of living will become clean for us through our acts of faith, hope, charity and love. God is the Creator of All and therefore everything you have or do should be celebrated in Christ Jesus. Remember God sees everything inside and out. When you sin in thoughts you sin in action and what you give in thoughts you give in action. The porn you watched on the internet is not hidden from Him as it is hidden from your spouse or loved ones. Just as the prayer you give in private is not hidden from God or your spouse or loved ones. By your deeds will one be judged accordingly carried by all you do within your soul and outside by the fingers grasping the hand of the homeless or the sick. Give abundantly and receive abundantly the joy of God’s Graces. Seek sin through excessive selfish acts and reap the ugliness of Satan’s demise. By loving your love of Christ you allow yourself to see the good of being clean inside and out growing in the Lord’s grace to fulfill His Will for your life.

And so we pray: Heavenly Father, help us to understand how to live our lives according to Your Will by faith in Christ’s Freedom granted to us by His Death on a Cross. Help us to accept His Blood to cleanse our sins through repentance and to be a vessel of His peace, hope, faith, charity and love. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

For freedom Christ set us free; so stand firm and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery

Wig’s Word of God Today 10-11-2010

For freedom Christ set us free; so stand firm and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

Galatians 4:22-24, 26-27, 31–5:1, Psalm 113:1b-2, 3-4, 5a and 6-7 & Luke 11:29-32

There is a freedom in my heart I feel each and moment I am awake. A freedom from slavery to life’s problems where the Armor of God protects me from all harm. It is a freedom I celebrate with family, friends and colleagues alike allowing me the opportunity to talk about a personal relationship with Christ Jesus. There was a time I was wrapped up in things Satan caused me to do. His feel good medicine did nothing more than keep me away from Christ not allowing me to accomplish a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. Remember, we are who we surround ourselves with. Live in addictions of sex, money and drugs and your friends will be vulgar, liars and cheaters relying on selfish acts of disrespect to our God’s Promise of Salvation. Surround yourself with Godly people and you will experience grace, support and love from complete strangers while living a Promise of Eternal Salvation. By your surrender to a life of Christ, your yoke of slavery will fall to the ground and you will live a life of faith, hope, charity and love. The greatest of these is Love.

Why do we always seek a sign from God proving what we are doing is what He is asking asking us to do? There are times you will pray and pray and pray but nothing: No response. This is when we get even closer to God. When you accept His silence, you accept a more personal relationship with Him and His graces will flow even more abundantly. When you demand God give you what you want, your demands will go unanswered and your desires will cause you misery of heart and soul. It is when you accept His silence as a silence of pleasure; you accept His confidence of living a life of grace. This feeling of trust will allow you to say with confidence and pleasure, “I know God hears me” allowing His Grace to fall upon you. Your ability to accept His silence elevates your intimacy with God where your understanding of prayer is about His Glorification to accomplish His Will in your life by and through loving your love of Christ Jesus. He will give you an answer that is Golden. Accept His answer of silence to live a life of Grace.

And so we pray: Dear Father God, we pray today for the golden joy of silence to hear Your Will in our lives and to live a life of grace. No longer will we submit to a yoke of slavery but by Your Power we will live a freedom of knowing Your Son’s Truth. Guide us to be slaves of His Love allowing us to share a life of faith, hope, charity and love to all He places in our lives. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

Romans 8:28

Words of Wonder

The pain rests along my heart
Seeking not less than the Truth to start
Gaining a love dwelling deep within
A joy of Salvation’s Love to begin

There is more knowledge in a given domain
A person’s ability of silence to sustain
Words of wonder to forever gain
Afforded to all breathe the lame

My Blood flows evenly for all to see
Seeking Truth to share Eternally
God’s grace a joy to forever be
In instrument of peace to forever see
