Wig’s Word of God Today 12-19-2010
Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the Gospel of God, which He promised previously through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures. Romans 1:1-2
Isaiah 7:10-14, Psalm 24:1-2, 3-4, 5-6., Romans 1:1-7 & Matthew 1:18-24
While I sat with about eighty men and prayed last Friday morning, one of my Brother’s in Christ pointed out to me this passage, “a slave of Christ Jesus,” saying, “I like this, He was a Slave of Christ.” I replied with an, “Amen Brother. A Slave of Christ Jesus! Hallelujah!” To be a slave of the Truth allowing yourself the joy of being One with God as Isaiah and all the Prophets where He resides in your soul to guide you and teach you. Paul teaches those of us who believe in Christ to be “proclaimer’s of His Truth” in an abiding reality of not being holy men and women but sharing His Gospel of Redemption.
After countless hours of studying the Bible and learning more about the Saints and Martyrs, I have come to understand that personal holiness is an effect of Redemption and not the cause of it. One cannot be focused on his own holiness to receive Redemption or place this desire above getting to know God. We must all strive to relinquish our own desires and surrender totally to living a life of Christ to Proclaim the Gospel with confidence and joy. When you let go and let God run your life, loving your love of Christ becomes your strength, your confidence and your calling.
And so we pray: My Lord and My God, we pray today for safe travels of Christmas shoppers. I pray today for my family’s well-being, my wife, my daughter in Medical School, my son in Hollywood, California, my son in Orlando and my two sons here in Homestead. I pray as always for everyone who has asked me to pray for them and all those I said I would pray for. I pray to accomplish Your Will Lord in all I do. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Christ’s everlasting properties
Rejoice in all humanity
The Gospel we read today
Is the Gospel we need tomorrow
The Source of Life that pays
Lifelong joys to borrow
Shinning Bright alone the rivers
