Wig’s Word of God Today 10-17-2010
Proclaim the Word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching. 2 Timothy 4:2
Exodus 17:8-13, Psalm 121:1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 2 Timothy 3:14-4:2 & Luke 18:1-8
Almost fours years ago, a friend at my weekly Prayer Muffin told me he would help me send out my daily study I had just started doing if I ever need someone to do it when I was out of town. I was reminded of him today when I prayed over Exodus 17 drawing the two situations in relationship to one another. Moses climbing to the top of the hill as Joshua fought Amalek below holding his staff high in the air so Amalek would be defeated by God’s army. His arm grows tired and the advantage turns to Amalek until Aaron and Hur placed Moses on a rock and hold his arm up high in place for him. The Bible tells us Joshua’s army “mowed down Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.” Calling out to your God-fearing friends in times of need are so important. Together we overcome any obstacle by trusting in the Lord as One Body of Christ. Be not afraid of reaching out to someone when you are in need of prayer or to help you win a battle of addiction over any thing you may be fighting. God can help you win with His Army in place around you.
I have special feelings about 2 Timothy because I haven’t waivered in proclaiming the Word of God daily in almost four years. My persistence has grown from getting up at 7 AM every day to getting up at 5 AM every day to study the Word of God and sharing with just over 650 people. Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, my motive is always the same: to Glorify God in all things. Jesus reminds us of how important prayer persistence is by the Parable of the Widow and the Judge. Jesus Himself began with the Word of God where all writings are Divinely Inspired as His guide in prayer and prayed and fasted often. I was asked the other day in a prayer workshop directed by a friend, “why did Jesus pray?” Many agreed Jesus prayed to show an example of prayer life and while I agree with that explanation I believe Jesus also prayed to stay in Communion with God the Father to draw strength, persistence and courage to be steadfast to His call of saving the world from sin by dying on the Cross for Humanity. Loving your love of Christ allows you to be persistent in your Practice (reading your bible), persistent in your Prayer and persistent in your Proclamation. Be steadfast for the Glory of God! Hallelujah!
And so we pray: Heavenly Father, I pray today for all people who take the time to read Your Word through my writings that they become filled with faith, hope, charity and love. May we always look to friends of Godly stature in times of need as we call out together to You for guidance and protection. Teach us to be persistent gaining strength from Your Word each and every day. We pray we always Proclaim the Word of God with faith in the Name of above all names: Christ Jesus. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
God Bless,

Romans 8:28
A Vessel of His Promise
Wage war over injustice
Seek help from friends in God
Guided by your persistence
Just as Moses held up his rod
Be steady from sunrise to sunset
Learn to share His Word to those in need
God’s Promise is everlasting
Help those learn from your seed
Look to the tops of mountains
Where God rests in the clouds
His love casts shadows of joy
His Word calms even the proud
Be faithful in times of trouble
Be faithful in times of need
Wisdom comes from seeking
The Truth of God indeed
God inspired the Bible
Written by His choice to be
A vessel of His Promise
A storyteller faithful to He
The Word is to be proclaimed in confidence
Shared with the strong and weak alike
Always convenient to the wise of knowledge
Guided by the Strong Arm of Might
A widow in her persistence
Taught us to be faithful to His Truth
Celebrate His Will in judgments
Your faith in Him as proof

Until we go out of our way to Proclaim the Word of God, God wont go out of his Way to bless us.
How true. Humanity’s Salvation comes from acknowledging the Word of God in every aspect of our daily lives by our practice, by our prayer and by our proclamation. Proclaim with confidence and share anytime the Salvation of Christ Jesus. Amen.
Very Correct Tomas… Just true
