There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-29-2011

There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved. Acts 4:12

This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to His disciples after being raised from the dead. John 21:14

Acts 4:1-12, Psalm 118 & John 21:1-14

It happens the first time; the Disciples are put into jail because they heal someone in the Name of Christ Jesus. Being perceived as uneducated men, they speak with authority and knowledge because they are filled with the Spirit of God and proclaim there is no other way to become saved except by the Truth of Jesus Christ which conflicted with the thoughts of the day of being saved by the emperor who was perceived as being God. The amazing thing about living a life of surrender to Christ Jesus is He gives us all the ability to share His Truth with authority by our practice, prayer and proclamation where His Spirit will fill our lips, mind and soul with His Redemptive Truth. As Jesus returns to reveal Himself a third time to the Disciples, He tells the men to feed His sheep and to follow Him. In our love of loving Christ Jesus we must take steps to share His Truth with friends and strangers alike providing faith, charity and love in the Name above all Names; Christ Jesus.

Yesterday, I went looking for the homeless man John who I had promised I would take him to a hotel for a nice long shower and a good nights sleep in a soft bed instead the hard ground he’s been sleeping on for more than ten years. Although I found his campsite last week, I couldn’t find him to follow through with my promise. As I approached the place we met, I saw him walking across the parking lot of a strip mall and pulled up to him stating, “John, how are you my brother?” He smiled opening those amazing green eyes and said, “Just fine. I just finished walking from downtown after being picked up for panhandling.” “Downtown,” I replied. “That’s more than 10 miles away.” “I know,” he said, “my shoes gave out on me and my feet are hurting mighty bad.” Looking down at his swollen red bare feet, I said, “well sir, how’s a hot shower, a hot meal and some hot new shoes sound? I’ve got some new clothes for you as well and we’ll get you cleaned up in a few.” He laughed as he looked at me with that amazing Christ-like smile repeating, “God has sent me an angel again.”

I went over to the door and opened it for him stating, “come sit down and relax and we’ll get started right away.” We drove to a small hotel with a heavenly number called Hotel Seven. I checked him in and told him to take a shower and to go through the clothes I brought as I go to class for a couple of hours. He smiled when he saw the king size bed in the room and stated, “sir, it’s been too long since I’ve slept in a bed and had a hot shower, God bless you for doing this.” I replied, “When God speaks to me, I act. If more people did this we’d see real change in the world. Please get you a shower and relax for a bit and I’ll come get you in an hour nor two and we’ll get you some new shoes and some fish.”

When I returned, the man I left dirty and unclean was transformed into a smiling refreshed clothed man of Christ. He said, “I’ve never felt so good. Thank you for the clothes.” Before too long we’d set him up with some new shoes and a fish sandwich and spent a better part of two hours talking about life, family and God. We prayed and laughed and spoke about our parents and our Savior. He’s chosen a life of solitude that I had to leave him to but I left him feeling closer to God by my actions of faith, charity and love. Holding up the Bible I gave him as I left him after praying and hugging him he said, “I haven’t read this Book in a long time. I will be sure to read it every day and think about your kindness in Christ.” With tears in my eyes I replied, “I love you John and God loves you. Seek Him and He’ll direct your path.”

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to recognize Christ in the homeless of the world, the lonely in our neighborhoods and the lost in our towns. Be our protection as we share Your Son”s Truth of Salvation. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

His Love Will Grant Us Eternity

In His Truth we find faith

In doubt we live in His debate
Without doubt we can’t have faith
We seek His Truth of Divine to relate

We are saved by Him alone
Not in Satan’s burning home
He lives in us to forever share
Without Him how could we dare?

To live in peace and tranquility
His Redemption our prosperity
Give a person a chance to see
His love will grant us Eternity

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
