Why are you terrified, O you of little faith?

Why are you terrified, O you of little faith? Matthew 8:25b

Genesis 19:15-29, Psalm 26 & Matthew 8:23-27

We learn today that Abraham’s nephew Lot was the only decent God-fearing man in Sodom resulting in the two angels rushing him out of town to save his families life before the LORD’s wrath came upon the town and consumed everyone in fire. The angel warned the family not to look back or they could be swept away and consumed by the wrath of God but Lot’s wife longed for her old life in Sodom and the LORD’s Will turned her into a pillar of salt as she lagged behind her families escape. I for one believe in the LORD’s wrath and urge people to repent and seek the Salvation granted by Christ’s death on the Cross.

When  I was in the Navy, I sailed the South China Seas on a US Naval Fast Frigate named the USS Jack Williams FFG-24. We were sailing the South China Sea in waiting for the Chinese to complete a pass-ex with an American ship for the first time in ions we were told as we experienced the roughest seas I had ever encountered. The ship rocked back and fourth on 10 to 20 degree rolls for an entire week. People were sick and scared as the Captain reassured everyone announcing repeatedly during the week “God will protect us.” I remember the trust I felt in my heart for the captain’s words and how relieved I was one day to wake up to calm seas and a beautiful sunrise.

The disciples fright was a natural feeling in a boat that is being tossed around like a soda can on the sea but their fright turned to amazement as they awoke Jesus to exclaim, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” As the Captain of any ship will try and do, He calmed not only the men’s fear but the winds and the seas with His Divine abilities and thus the Disciples fear turned to absolute wonder when they said to themselves, “What sort of man is this, whom even the winds and the sea obey?

He is the One and Only True God who can calm any storm within our minds, hearts and souls if only we will display the faith He showers on us all by our surrender to His Way of Salvation. He will send angels to carry us out of burning homes just as He did to Lot and his family or He will send you a Captain of faith who will command a Navy ship with confidence in his abilities as a God-fearing Christian. If only you will take your love of loving Christ Jesus and carry the faith of His hope, charity and love. Amen.

So we ask in prayer, Dear God of All, we thank you for the faith you give men and women who surround us for Your Truth to live in joy of Your Son’s Salvation from sin. Give us the courage to live in this faith in everything we do. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

Romans 8:28

Spirit led God inspired Christ fed

His Power Calmed the Winds Fright

The world has its wonders

Only God knows every sight

The deep waters of the oceans

The sea so deep with fright

In His fingers streaming

The stars took their flight

Adding the glow of wonder

Shinning each and every night

Men of destiny rode in Christ’s boat

To see the waves crash in spite

Of God being the Captain

His Power calmed the winds fright

About Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

My name is Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins. I first recognize Christ as my Savior in all things. I am married to my best friend and Soul-Mate in Christ, Antonia Cruz-Wiggins. I am a University of Florida graduate of Public Relations, a US Navy Veteran and a Montessori Elementary School Teacher. I love life and God's help of living it! I follow the Light of Christ in everything I do! I love writing poetry about the Lord and I create a new poem from each Scripture I discern in my daily mediations. You can almost follow the poem by looking at the readings for each day. I started sharing this small yet personal scripture study four years ago when one day I was reading the bible and the Holy Spirit moved me to share the verse with a group of about 40 Christian Men in my Emmaus Ministry who get together weekly to celebrate the Lord and talk about His Truth. Since then the number of people I share my study with has grown to over 650. I enjoy an open loving dialog about anything I write and I have strived to write what I know the Lord wants me to share steering clear of offending anyone’s spiritual beliefs because I share my work with people I meet in public when I strike up a conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took almost 2 years to begin writing what the Holy Spirit leads me to say. I believe that all Christians must unite as One Body of Christ’s Love to accomplish the joy of living with love, honor and respect. I reach out to Humanity to share His Salvation be it Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal or any other religion or belief. I seek to mirror His Compassion, His Simpleness, His Charity and His Love. While I am Catholic, I believe we must all unite in the Lord to become One Body in Christ to bring our children back to The Church. I am humbled to share my study with you. Please feel free to comment any time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my Joy because I am a Disciple of His Truth. I am honored to share my Bible study with anyone you may recommend. As always, I remain, Yours in Christ, Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins
