He was amazed at their lack of faith. Mark 6:6

He was amazed at their lack of faith. Mark 6:6

2 Samuel 24:2, 9-17, Psalm 32 & Mark 6:1-6

David was a leader who made mistakes and repented from them immediately demonstrating to us today the need for faith when it comes to trusting God with every little detail of our lives. The lack of reception from the home region of Jesus demonstrates this “lack of faith” Jesus describes as unwilling followers of a person they have watched grow up as a carpenters son. Not trusting His abilities as a part of His work for God’s glory is depicted when Jesus exclaims, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and among his own kin and in his own house.” Mark 6:4

Many of you may feel this rejection from your own family, friends or coworkers after you find the LORD’s Truth to walk in every day of your life. For years you may have been a different person who followed the ways of the crowd in selfishness but once you surrendered to Christ’s Truth giving way to a new life you will be rejected by those who knew you as the one who used to do this or that. They will reject you for they lack the faith God has instilled in your heart as Truth to live by. We must as people who are saved from eternal torment relinquish also the thoughts, words and actions of judgment and pray for the people who reject the new you to find God’s Only Son as the Rock to stand on in faith, hope and love. Live for He Who sustains you first and all else will fall into place. Amen.

We pray by God, His Son and His Spirit to have faith in Your Word to practice, pray and preach to those who reject You LORD void of judgment centered on prayer. We pray for “40 Days of Life” to overcome the dreadful act of abortion. We pray for an Emmaus Brother’s father who was diagnosed with lung cancer. We pray for LIFE FM. We pray for our wives, children, family, friends, and strangers we pray with every day. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Arriving in His Disciples at His native place

The Sabbath arrived sharing His fate

Teaching with authority God surely made

They rejected Him as crazy unable to relate

Is this not the son of a carpenter came their reply

Taking offense at His Teachings as an utter lie

What kind of wisdom does this carpenter rely?

Not anything we’d accept as they spit in His eye

One Who speaks from God may find hate in his place

His hometown feeling may be substituted for disgrace

Even his own house may rebel at His Holy fate

Jesus was amazed at His hometown’s lack of faith

“Do not be afraid; just have faith.” Mark 5:36c

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-31-2012

“Do not be afraid; just have faith.” Mark 5:36c

2 Samuel 18:9-30, Psalm 89 & Mark 5:21-43

Jesus described faith as something that should relieve the fright of death. Even in the midst of facing certain death Himself, Jesus never relinquished His faith in His Father to overcome anything His Walk was meant to accomplish as the Will of God for His Truth. The synagogue official had faith in a prophet but he soon would learn to have faith in God because Christ reaffirmed his faith by raising his daughter from a certain death. Jesus told the official, “Do not be afraid; just have faith.” I can only imagine what he must have been thinking on the walk to his home to find loud crying and mourning. I’m sure his faith in Christ had some doubts but that wouldn’t deter him from at least allowing Jesus to see her and heal her.

We are not unlike this man in our own walk as we try to live by a faith that is as strong as steel but weakened at any moment by selfish acts of disrespect towards God’s Eternal Promise. We do this by seeking our own methods of living instead of following the proven method of resurrecting your life by living for God’s Will in practice, prayer and preaching. You have to open your Bible to live in His faith. You have to pray unceasingly over every little detail of your life to accomplish true hope in Christ. You must share His love in proclaiming the Truth you learn in His Word. Jesus is telling us not to be afraid but to just have faith. Amen.

We pray by God, His Son and His Spirit to have faith in Your Son’s Gospel to live in faith, charity and love. Amen.

By Faith be Not Afraid of God’s Eternal Home- Mark 5:35-43

A synagogue official stood by as people were healed

Praying somehow Jesus would come from an appeal

People from his house reported his daughter had died

Many asked why trouble the teacher his will did confide

Christ said, “Do not be afraid; just have faith.”

Jesus left the crowd and went to his place

There a commotion of mourning was shown

He was ridiculed for having faith in the unknown

Taking her hand he said, “Talitha koum”

Meaning, Little girl, I say to you arise and be known

A girl of twelve arose and walked around

Utterly astounded people to praise all over town

Give her something to eat came His reply

Keep this act silent and try not to confide

This miracle of life came from the Father I know

By faith be not afraid of God’s Eternal Home

Go home to your family and announce to them all that the LORD in His pity has done for you. Mark 5:19b

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-30-2012

Go home to your family and announce to them all that the LORD in His pity has done for you. Mark 5:19b

2 Samuel 15:13-14, 30; 16:5-13, Psalm 3 & Mark 5:1-20

The LORD has pity for the lost, lonely and confused and you may be the messenger the LORD has appointed in His goodness to help someone like this find comfort, Truth and love. The man tormented by evil spirits wanted to find peace in his life of torment and once Jesus gave it to him, he wanted nothing more than to follow Jesus to the end of his days. Jesus in His grace wanted more for this man as true testimony to his family and told him to go home and announce what the LORD has done for him.

While the LORD wants us to surrender to His Truth, He also wants us to be living testaments to sharing Christ’s faith, charity and love. By our life of devotion, we can provide the hope someone desperately needs to feel loved. Maybe it’s someone at your job who needs an ear to listen to. Maybe someone from your family has a broken heart and only wants someone to hold. Maybe it’s elderly couple in your neighborhood who has no family to help them go shopping for food. God is looking for you to reach out and help someone in His Name to share and announce the LORD’s goodness. Share the LORD’s pity while you practice, pray and preach. Amen.

We pray by God, His Son and His Spirit to announce the LORD’s pity on humanity by our faith, charity and love.. We pray for “40 Days of Life” to overcome the dreadful act of abortion. We pray for financial help the Pathak family needs as they reenter the treatment for their son Jhaysonn’s cancer. We pray for LIFE FM. We pray for our wives, children, family, friends, and strangers we pray with every day. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

A lunatic dweller amongst the tombs

No restraint could hold his frightful doom

Worthless chains and shackles to prune

Evil spirits tortured him as he howled at the moon

Throwing himself at His feet

As Jesus asked what was his shame

He let the unclean spirits enter a herd

Legion of many was the name to blame

Swine ran into the sea and drowned

His spirits of evil all suffered

The man was found to be sane

As he followed Jesus for supper

Go home and announce your freedom

Say the LORD has shown pity on you

Your family will be astonished

Proclaiming the Joy of Good News

I am telling you this for your own benefit, not to impose a restraint upon you, but for the sake of propriety and adherence to the LORD without distraction. 1 Corinthians 7:35

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-29-2012

I am telling you this for your own benefit, not to impose a restraint upon you, but for the sake of propriety and adherence to the LORD without distraction. 1 Corinthians 7:35

Deuteronomy 18:15-20, Psalm 95, 1 Corinthians 7:32-35 & Mark 1:21-28

Paul describes a “good mannered” Christian adhering to the principals of His Truth not as a restraint but as an unleashing of God’s Power over your life to benefit your surrender without distraction. Paul spoke of the power to choose God over everything else living for the Sake of the Cross and Christ’s Redemption in a life dedicated to righteousness in the LORD. Paul lived his life celibate after his conversion fulfilling God’s call upon his soul to live a life free of vices riding himself of sin for the sake and glory of God Himself.

A true example of forgiveness lived and converted in a time where Saul was killing people following Christ’s Way to Eternal Life. Saul became Paul by the miracle of God’s grace I embrace and believe every moment of every day. It is the Truth of His Word lived in faith, hope, forgiveness, and love. God’s Miracles are causing you to read right now. God’s Miracles are received and unleashed by your dedication of living the “good mannerism” of a Christian not allowing the distractions of the world to separate you from your practice, prayer and preaching of God’s Word.

The Savior wiped away our sin while Paul the sinner taught us how to live for the Savior as a Saint. Daily you will encounter people who may try and make you think like they do but to live a life without distraction one must focus on the humble service of God in studying His Word, living works of mercy, and proclaiming mercy by works of His Word. You can adhere to His Will by modest, respectable and decent behavior in living for Christ Himself. We must share the Savior as a sinner to become a Saint for the Savior of life. Our life is now lived as a Saul turned Paul as a Saint to save a sinner by Christ’s Salvation. Amen.

We pray by God, His Son and His Spirit to adhere to your Word in practice, prayer and proclaiming the Gospel of Salvation. We pray for “40 Days of Life” to overcome the dreadful act of abortion. We pray for  financial help the Pathak family needs as they reenter the treatment for their son Jhaysonn’s cancer. LORD, they are in need of Your grace and we pray they receive it as Your Will LORD. Then He asked them, “Why are you terrified? Do you not yet have faith?” Mark 4:40

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-28-2012

Then He asked them, “Why are you terrified? Do you not yet have faith?” Mark 4:40

2 Samuel 12:1-17, Psalm 51 & Mark 4:35-41

The existence of Christ has calmed the fear of persecution for ever for once one believes in the Power of God’s Only Son then the fear of persecution, punishment and death are focused into joy of Christ’s Gospel. You begin to stand on both feet with faith that calms even your worst of fears of any threat imaginable. Standing up to fear is faith in action not for doing something that is wrong but for doing something that is right.

For some reason some people are afraid to pray in public. We think of praying when we are in our homes but we fail to make the Sign of the Cross and exclaim our joy of Christ in public. It befuddles me to think every God-fearing man, woman and child can’t pray and be thankful for everything at any time they want. I know in my heart mankind wants to be openly thankful for God’s Omnipotence of our existence but I guess pride, self and Satan get in the way.

I personally believe we should stand up and give our all in thanksgiving or should I say kneel down (?) to our God whenever we want in public and private. Praying for the harmony God designed. Praying for the children to be taught to pray “constantly” as God’s Word directs us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Praying you and me stand up or kneel down with arms up openly proclaiming our faith rests in Him. Give Glory to the LORD in the Spirit of Christ Jesus’ Salvation for all of us.

When you want something so bad you’ll do whatever it takes to earn it with faith of Truth resting in your soul. Think of Faith in God as that strength you feel when you have to live your life for others rather than suffer the torment of selfish sin. See this Faith in the mirror of life. Trust His Strength to live in His Strength. Find success in God’s grace. Amen.

We pray by God, His Son and His Spirit to have faith in Your Son for every moment You offer us in life. We pray for “40 Days of Life” to overcome the dreadful act of abortion. May our prayers there today divert the parents fright life to Christ’s breath. We pray for  financial help the Pathak family needs as they reenter the treatment for their son Jhaysonn’s cancer. LORD, they are in need of Your grace and we pray they receive it as Your Will LORD. We pray for LIFE FM. We pray for our wives, children, family, friends, and strangers we pray with every day. Shaking with fear the disciples didn’t know

As awakened He would command all calm

To return to His rest in God’s Mighty palm

Quiet! Be still! He spoke to the sea and winds

Enough was enough for His journey to win

Why be afraid came His question then

Do you not have faith to Eternally begin?

As the awe of God’s Power shown before men

Even calms the wind and sea of God’s Dominion

Behold, You desire true sincerity; and secretly You teach me wisdom. Psalm 51:8

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-27-2012

Behold, You desire true sincerity; and secretly You teach me wisdom. Psalm 51:8

2 Samuel 1:1-17, Psalm 51 & Mark 4:26-34

When we sin against the LORD by any means available, He watches our reactions with a forgiving heart allowing us true repentance if we admit our sin and seek His Truth to overcome our wretchedness. King David’s story is not unlike any of our own when it comes to taking our pleasures of self and acting out against God’s Decrees without thinking of the consequence or trying to cover up the deed with more nonsense. David saw a beautiful married woman and took her for his own ultimately killing her husband by sending him off in battle for selfish sinful reasons.

He was wrong and he knew it calling out to the LORD ultimately in repentance seeking the forgiveness promised in God’s Truth. We experience this daily if we try and cover one lie with another hoping the truth of our sin remains covered but our LORD desires “True Sincerity” and will secretly teach you “His Wisdom” by the effort we place at the Foot of His Son’s Cross. King David relied on the goodness of God to forgive his transgression but we have the Blood of His Son to wipe away our disobedience if only we repent and seek His Truth to live for His Glory. Amen.

We must revive our life to live in accordance with His Truth by thought, action and deed. There are so many ways of doing this and we all must find our own God-given talent to live by as we seek to share the Salvation granted us by the Cross of Christ Jesus. We must practice, pray and preach with “true sincerity” knowing the wisdom He shares with us in our love of loving His Son will be our calling to live in His Truth. Are you being true to God in all sincerity? Maybe there’s something you are doing in darkness that the Light of Christ illuminates that needs to be repaired. God wants “true sincerity” and without it He’ll wait to teach you His Wisdom of faith, charity and love until He finds you calling out to live in His Light of Truth. Amen.

We pray by God, His Son and His Spirit to seek You LORD with true sincerity allowing Your Wisdom to touch our faith, charity and love. We begin our prayers for “40 Days of Life” to overcome the dreadful act of abortion. We pray for the NJ Emmaus Team and candidates of the June Emmaus Retreat. So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our LORD, nor of me, a prisoner for His sake; but bear your share of hardship for the Gospel with the strength that comes from God. 1 Timothy 1:8

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-26-2012

So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our LORD, nor of me, a prisoner for His sake; but bear your share of hardship for the Gospel with the strength that comes from God. 1 Timothy 1:8

For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to Light. Mark 4:22

2 Timothy 1:1-8, Psalm 96 & Mark 4:21-25

Our testimony of our life of Christ comes to the forefront of everything we do by the actions we take in thought, work and deed. This testimony is designed around your every step from the moment you touch your feet to the floor in the morning to the point of taking them off the floor at night to return to rest in His arms. The joy of feeling this testimony even in hardship brings about an emotion of safety and joy in God’s Holy Word you open each day for the sake of His Redemption lived and shared with humanity.

Mother Theresa once said her work as Jesus pointed out started with one sick and lonely person on the street of Calcutta, India and is never ending as the love of God is for all mankind. Your testimony too begins with opening the first page of the Bible to find His Way of life in faith, charity and love ultimately using the strength you find in His Truth to live for the poorest of the poor without regard to personal hardship or loss of selfish reward.

Many have asked if I am frightened to talk to the homeless of the world but I am more frightened if I don’t seek them out more often than I do my own selfish needs. Thomas Aquinas once wrote, “Three things are necessary for the salvation of man: to know what he ought to believe; to know what he ought to desire; and to know what he ought to do.” Everything you desire for God will be made visible by acting on what you know God is calling you to do by sharing your desire and belief of Christ’s Salvation. Do you believe, desire and know what you ought to do for God? In His Gospel and His Word you’ll find the answers God is asking and He’ll reveal what you ought to do by this practice of faith. Amen.

We pray by God, His Son and His Spirit to never be ashamed of our life of faith, charity and love for the Gospel of Your Son Christ Jesus. We pray for the NJ Emmaus Team and candidates of the June Emmaus Retreat. We pray for young man named Brandel Bryant. We pray for LIFE FM. He said to them, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15

He said to them, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15

Acts 22:3-16, Psalm 117 & Mark 16:15-18

There comes a difficulty we are called to demonstrate by our practice, prayer and proclamation we know in our heart is the hardest request of Christ to accomplish and that is talking about His Truth to anyone, anytime and anywhere. In our celebration today of remembering the most influential person’s conversion of Christianity, Paul accepted this directive in a Light in which by we are educated of His Truth today. Because Paul drew from the “Well of Knowledge” and lived the Three P’s to perfection, humanity has a better understanding of a lived example of what it means to practice, pray and preach.

How can you live this request of God’s Only Son? How can it be the meaning of your life that you are not afraid to think, wear and live? We all must begin in His Truth. We must take the time to read and live the Word of God. You may never understand the Mystery of God’s Truth but you can live it by your practice, prayer and proclamation. A man named Saul became the messenger of His Truth to pray over everything he lived to accomplish the Will of God. This example of prayer is a part of combining the Three P’s of living for Christ. Saul became Paul and he continued proclaiming the Good News even after his death for in his words we find the reason to live the Three P’s of Christianity.

There is always going to be someone devout who can lead you out of your blindness just as Ananias did after Saul’s conversion on the Road to Damascus. Listen to his words here to Saul turned Paul in Acts 22:14-16 and possibly you will find the courage to proclaim Christ’s Truth forever more: “The God of our ancestors designated you to know His Will, to see the Righteous One, and to hear the sound of His voice; for you will be his witness before all to what you have seen and heard. Now, why delay? Get up and have yourself baptized and your sins washed away, calling upon His Name.”

We pray by God, His Son and His Spirit to proclaim Your Son’s Truth with anyone, anywhere and anytime. We pray for the NJ Emmaus Team and candidates of the June Emmaus Retreat. We pray for the intentions of Shannon Blaylock’s youth ministry. We pray for young man named Brandel Bryant. We pray for LIFE FM. Whoever does the Will of God is my brother and sister and mother. Mark 3:35

Whoever does the Will of God is my brother and sister and mother. Mark 3:35

2 Samuel 6:12-19, Psalm 24 & Mark 3:31-35

Our Almighty and Awesome God is looking for countless volunteers to share His Word of faith, hope and love. I write volunteers because God gives you Free Will to live or die in the dream or misery of life based on your own drive or lack of drive thereof. Each volunteer is afforded the same Eternal Promise by accepting His Son Christ Jesus as your LORD and Savior to live in a Redemptive State to accomplish His Will and not your own. Jesus said, “Who are my mother and [my] brothers?” in Mark 3:33 as He looked around the room at numerous people describing the ancestors of you and me driving home the point as He finishes with, “Whoever does the Will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”

He is calling you by name and to accept allows your life to be transformed for His Purpose. Today more than ever, God is asking you to volunteer to instill His Good Name into all of society to overcome the secular evil ways of the world. As I sat and prayed for my wife last night because she wasn’t feeling well, a volunteer for God came a calling for Him and America. She was asking people of faith to get out and “Champion the Vote” (please see www.championthevote.org) to help reenergize Americans to stand up and let our Christian voices be heard.

As we talked about how people everywhere could get involved, the Holy Spirit had illuminated my heart and soul with sensations of His Truth and we prayed together before saying goodbye. God is calling YOU to volunteer for His Truth too. How are you going to live in His Will? Will you become a volunteer to help His cause of Redemption? The year of 2012 brings us the ability to help volunteer and create substantial change in America that reintroduces the Name of Jesus to all of society. People want to live in Truth of God not selfish promises of living for sinful pleasures. Remember: God equals faith, hope and love in Eternal Life. Selfish sin equals death and living in hell. How will you volunteer to share and live in His Will for the good of America? Can you help “Champion the Vote?”

We pray by God, His Son and His Spirit to live to volunteer for Your Will LORD by sharing Your Truth with anyone, anywhere and anytime. We pray a prayer of thanksgiving for the work of Beverly Martin and Champion the Vote. We pray for the NJ Emmaus Team and candidates of the June Emmaus Retreat. We pray for Pam Bishop and Mario Fusco. We pray for LIFE FM. We pray for our wives, children, family, friends, and strangers we pray with every day. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Jesus Himself was replying to the Scribes who had labeled His work as work of the Devil and not that of God Himself.

In Matthew 12:30-32 Jesus describes this unforgiveable sin by saying, “Whoever is not with Me is against Me, and whoever does not gather with Me scatters. Therefore, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.”

Paul reminds us in Hebrews 6:4-6 that once we hear the Good News and believe and fall away, we are in jeopardy of becoming not being forgiven again. “For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened and tasted the Heavenly Gift and shared in the Holy Spirit and tasted the good Word of God and the Powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to bring them to repentance again, since they are recrucifying the Son of God for themselves and holding Him up to contempt.

St. Thomas once wrote about the “Six Types of Blasphemy” that God would not forgive because they deliberately reject God’s mercy in choosing to ignore the Holy Spirits’ ability to forgive sins by Christ’s death on the Cross. They are:

  • · Despair: one’s own malice greater than God’s Mercy
  • · Presumption: obtain glory without merits or pardon without repentance
  • · Resistance: to the known Truth
  • · Envy: of a brother’s spiritual good, the increase of God’s grace in the world
  • · Impenitence, i. e. the specific purpose of not repenting a sin
  • · Obstinacy, whereby a man, clinging to his sin, becomes immune to the thought that the good searched in it is a very little one.

Many Biblical Theologians agree that Christ’s death on the Cross wipes away any offense if one will confess their sins, repent and follow the Good News of God’s Only Son. Amen.

We pray by God, His Son and His Spirit to always embrace the Holy Spirit in our walk for Your Glory LORD. Amen.

Romans 8:28

Spirit led God inspired Christ fed

By God, His Only Son and the Spirit do we Win- Mark 3:22-30

The scribes labeled Him possessed

Beelzebul His deeds we can attest

By demons He drives out the pests

Not seeing Truth in the Holy Spirit’s best

Christ spoke to them in parables

Asking how Satan can drive out Satan

No kingdom divided will stand against itself

As a house will fall if it fights amongst themselves

Satan will not stand to fight His own stand

The end of him is near cutting off his own hand

Even a strong man’s house cannot be plundered

Unless he is tied up to a post as he thunders

All sins and blasphemies will be forgive them

Only wrong against His Spirit proves an everlasting sin

Because they said He had unclean spirit to begin

By God, His Only Son and the Spirit do we Win
