Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence, love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:10

Wig’s Word of God Today 9-4-2011

Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence, love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:10

Again, [amen,] I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my Heavenly Father. Matthew 18:19

Ezekiel 33:7-9, Psalm 95, Romans 13:8-10 & Matthew 18:15-20

There seems to be call in the air; “a call to Revival.” People everywhere are calling out asking God to do miracles with a “give me this and I’ll do this for you God” attitude. The attitude of character. The attitude of self. Our Homeland is obviously aching for Truth. A love your neighbor as yourself making sure you do no evil type of Truth. Following the Law. Honest hard work. Pay your fair share to help your home be safe. Paul asks us to have obedience to authority for authority is an extension of Humanity’s love for God. Even Jesus said in Mark to pay taxes after being asked by the Pharisees, “Is it lawful to pay the census tax to Caesar or not? Should we pay or should we not pay?” Mark 12:14 Not once but twice did the Pharisee ask pay or not to pay the census tax. Our instruction from Christ? “Repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.” Mark 12:17

We want our miracles attitude has proven faulty for America and the World. There needs to be a true revival of Spirit for honoring the Chosen One and His Father’s decrees. Simply put, we must pray. Alone, together with family or in public with friends and unknown neighbors. We must pray. In my heart, I believe a majority of the world loves peace over evil. We must teach this “love does no evil to the neighbor” beacon to our children as ongoing promise to our LORD’s Truth. One-by-one come together and pray for a Spirit filled revival to fill all the hearts of humankind. People of faith know the Power of prayer works when many are gathered in His Name. He promises when two or more come together in prayer, we will receive His Will in our hearts. A Revival of Spirit is being called to bring us together for His purpose and I will ask you all to join me soon in prayer. Here as you read or in person when we pray to keep God in America somewhere across Miami on a regular basis, come pray with me.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, may we keep evil from our hearts and love in our action as we seek to pray for Your guidance and love. LORD, we ask you look over us as we pray for good to overcome evil. We pray for my daughter Alexandra’s peace and healing. We pray for safe travels for the Rodriguez family to Mexico. LORD, we pray for my class in Room 108 to be safe and to always love of learning. We pray this in His Holy and Precious Name Jesus. Amen.

Provided that you persevere in the faith, firmly grounded, stable, and not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard. Colossians 1:23c

Wig’s Word of God Today 9-3-2011

Provided that you persevere in the faith, firmly grounded, stable, and not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard. Colossians 1:23c

His disciples were picking the heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands, and eating them. Luke 6:5

Colossians 1:21-23, Psalm 54 & Luke 6:1-5

Sometimes I think we want to forgive someone but for some reason, we cannot. We hold on to the hurt, disgust and pain for so long it begins to “burn” your body into little pieces of vile egoism. Complete self-interest where your concern for God’s Truth evades your very being. A lost wanted friendship lingering on the edge of gross negligence. Even those in your life who will be just a casual brush in living need forgiveness from every day of learning how to conduct life in His communion with the Father. We learn each time whether we want to admit this or not. This includes the core family of your blood where we should seek and desire a complete and undeniable forgiveness. As Paul tells us, “Persevere in the faith, firmly grounded, stable, and not shifting from the hope.” We have hope to say I’m sorry to live at peace in our hearts to serve Him with no distractions.

When you stop and think about the people who really lived complete forgiveness, you might try to understand the desire God really wants us to be when we live in His Care trusting His every yearning for Humanity to feel forgiveness. From Christ’s Sacrifice for our Forgiveness of Sins to your Surrender in soulistic forgiveness of learning, you live a life of turning the other cheek with the sweet sensation of Jesus on your face, your pride and your heart’s glory for He is the Glory of your life. Not only does Paul instruct us as a Minister in Christ to never shift hope of the Gospel you heard, he instructs us to study and live Gods Word to live in this soulistic forgiveness God instructs us to accept. The Disciples hunger for Christ’s Truth accepted the willingness to let go as Christ described He is the LORD over the Sabbath to the disbelief of the Pharisees. There is a trust garnished in forgiveness lived by those who read the Word of God everyday and understand exoneration of the hurt, disgust and pain is God’s Plan for Humanity. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today we are always perseverant in the faith grounded in the Gospel of Your Son’s Word. Teach us to forgive and forget relying not our own pride but the joy of You. We pray for my daughter Alexandra’s peace and healing. We pray for Mrs. Lulu Rodriguez who is taking her mom home to Mexico where unrest and a kidnapped cousin still remains missing. We pray all of this Jesus’ Holy and Precious Name. Amen.

He is the image of the invisible God, the Firstborn of all creation. Colossians 1:15

Wig’s Word of God Today 9-2-2011

He is the image of the invisible God, the Firstborn of all creation. Colossians 1:15

Colossians 1:15-20, Psalm 100 & Luke 5:33-39

Faith believes Christ came to the world as the image of the invisible God placing Him as the Firstborn of all creation. He is the First and the Last for He is One in the Holy Ghost and the Eternal Father. A Trinity we cannot ignore or forget for all that is in heaven and earth is created by His Mighty Power of Grace and Love. Many of you know people who can’t submit to the God of all because they say they cannot see Him or touch Him. By your faith, you must learn to share the Word of God to help open the eyes of the blind and create action in the lame of heart.

Remind these types of people, people you meet each and every day that God is all around us in everything we do. Obviously, we know Jesus rests in our heart in a surrendered soulistic embrace of which we are, but step outside with them and sit down in the wet grass and look about on an early morning or walk with them down a crowded street and point out the wonders of God’s Creation and them to see God in their own heart. A small Lady Bug walking up a blade of grass to launch itself into air to find its next meal. A baby being toted in a mother’s wrap eyeing the wonders of the world’s sky. Our proof is all around us. A pure and loving God of joy created all the natural wonders of the world. He is everywhere and everything.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today we can become students of faith allowing us to share Your Son’s Divinity with the blindness of humanity. We pray today for my daughter Alexandra’s healing and peace. We pray for our nation and our leaders of faith who help us understand Your Truth. We pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men. Luke 5:10

Wig’s Word of God Today 9-1-2011

To live in a manner worthy of the LORD, so as to be fully pleasing, in every good work bearing fruit and growing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:10

Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men. Luke 5:10

Colossians 1:9-14, Psalm 98 & Luke 5:1-11

Paul’s prayer of continued progress in the LORD’s Will through and by the death and resurrection of Christ seeks to direct the Colossians to keep their faith in bearing good fruit and growing in the knowledge of God. I wrote a friend yesterday who had written asking my wife and I to pray for her intention of working for Catholic Hospice. Every time I’ve seen her I’ve always thought she was very humble and desired to live for the LORD’s Truth. When writing her, I thought of expressing how important it is to live in His Will by growth in His Word and reminding her that asking for help in prayer is seeking the Community Comfort we all should embrace as treating your neighbor as yourself to give back to humanity.

My thoughts were the following: “I am surely praying for you and your life lived for His Will affording the opportunity for growth in His Truth and Love. If only humanity could accept that in which is True and devote their energy into serving His Will- oh my goodness, life would surely take on a surrendered existence of harmony. Within our own lives, we must become in harmony with His Will by a sweet devotion leaning not our own ways but that of His Word. Seems so simple sometimes but is lost in selfishness.”

Recently I made up a shirt that read on the back, “Follow Me and I’ll make you Fisher’s of Men.” On the front of the shirt I have a heart in the middle of the statement, “I love (heart) Jesus Christ. I think it’s so important to display our love of Christ. You know, “Preach the Gospel- use words if necessary” type of stuff. The great point in this passage of Luke 5 is Jesus told them to cast their net in the water they had fished all night and caught nothing but trusting in His Word they casted and caught more than both boats could hold. When we trust in Christ with our life, His Truth guides us to accomplish the Father’s Will and His forgiveness gives us faith in our heart to see our works for Him is not in vain. He is our forgiveness to live for Him in thoughts, charity and deed. It will always be what we ARE for Him not what we do for Him. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today we always grow in good works and bear fruit by our growth in knowledge of you through our study of Your Word not afraid of seeking to catch men and women for the Salvation of Souls only Your Son’s Truth offers by our repentance of sin and love of You. We pray today for my friend who is looking for a car to accomplish her work in Catholic Hospice of visiting the sick and dying. We pray for my daughter Alexandra’s peace and healing. We pray all of this in the Name above ALL names, Christ Jesus. Amen.

I will thank you forever for what You have done. I will put my hope in Your Name—for it is good, —in the presence of those devoted to you. Psalm 52:11

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-31-2011

I will thank you forever for what You have done. I will put my hope in Your Name—for it is good, —in the presence of those devoted to you. Psalm 52:11

Colossians 1:1-8, Psalm 52 & Luke 4:38-44

There’s nothing more special than spending time with people who love God as much as you do. You can feel the Spirit of God in the air and you can almost reach out and touch His Presence on the shoulders of your friends as you talk of His love and mercy. When you devote yourself passionately to serving the LORD, you begin to understand His love is to be shared with not only your friends but the lost ones of the world whom need His love most. Many may call this service work but one must realize Jesus calls service to be what we are to Him and not what we do for Him.

Remember to always approach your life as an Apostle, Disciple or Follower of His Ways as being devoted to Christ Jesus not any particular belief or doctrine. Take our work for our country for example; serving Jesus is not about being a Democrat or Republican but being an American who is devoted to Christ’s love in His Word to guide us to freedom beyond the boundaries of living amongst a secular world of self, lust and greed. When you live a life devoted to Jesus, you live a life touched by the Spirit of God and finally see Who Jesus really is—the True Source of your devotion.

We see too many times today that the Word of God has been replaced with personal belief where people are devoted to causes while so few are truly devoted to Jesus Christ. Jesus expects us to more than just His friend, He wants us to be devoted to His Truth in thoughts, speaking, and in action to create obedience to living the Will of the Father. Jesus was devoted to living the Will of God not humanity.

We must come to find the significance of being a meek person with a humble heart to accomplish His Will enabling us to touch the lives of humanity. Personal belief will always end up tired and destroyed but devoted belief in Christ Jesus will live on forever even when people treat you with disrespect. Devoted love to Christ wills a never ending waiver of understanding His Truth.

I will thank you forever for what You have done. I will put my hope in Your Name—for it is good, —in the presence of those devoted to you. Psalm 52:11

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today our love is devoted to Your Son’s Truth. We pray to day for my daughter Alexandra’s peace and healing. We pray all of this in the Name above all names; Christ Jesus. Amen.

Encourage one another and build one another up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-30-2011

Encourage one another and build one another up.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6, 9-11, Psalm 27 & Luke 4:31-37

Today I find myself struggling to write after waking up to the weirdest feeling of dizziness and extreme heat flashes combined with sweating. I know many of you are saying, “go to the doctor,” but I feel committed to making my Lector duties at an early morning Mass and I find it difficult not to be in class for my kids at the start of a new school year. I ask you all to pray for my recovery as I center my discernment today on encouraging one another today and building each other up.

Yesterday, the father of a young man we’ve been praying for healing from some type of terrible cancer who by the way has been healed wrote me sharing his feeling about obedience to faith. I pray his words have some meaning to us all that I cut and paste here:

“I believe that the most important habit of all that underscores and embodies our ability to excel as Christians is Romans 14:13. I wish there were more attention and discussion about this principle than anything else because it is the foundation that cascades into repairing all the malaise of humanity. Fundamental and simple, Romans 14:13 should be the bulwark of effort by everyone in pursuit of compliance with obedience to faith.”

“Then let us no longer judge one another, but rather resolve never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.” Romans 14:13

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to always build one another up not judging but keeping each in prayer and spirit around Your Holy Will. We pray for my daughter Alexandra’s healing and peace. We pray my feelings today are temporary. We pray all of this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

Tell His glory among the nations; among all peoples, His marvelous deeds. Psalm 96:3

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-29-2011

Tell His glory among the nations; among all peoples, His marvelous deeds. Psalm 96:3

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Psalm 96 & Mark 6:17-29

How does one form Godly habits? Psalm 96 invites all humanity to sing praise of Glory to the LORD Who alone is the sole God of our Universe. We can start forming Godly habits by recognizing this when we get up each day and focus our life around His Word in prayer and proclamation and then lay down our life for His Truth. This does not mean die as I have said before but it means to deliberately share your friendship of Christ Jesus with the lost souls of the world. They may be the homeless or the elderly or maybe just a friend but share His Truth to garnish their need to repent.

God will then write a new name across your soul as His Disciple to erase from your life the pride, self-interest and self-indulgence of the physical life to accomplish His Will for His Glory. You will see not self pride in your actions but that of a humble Disciple wanting to nothing more than to “tell His glory among the nations; among all peoples, His marvelous deeds.” This love of Him allows me to search out the lost ones to share His love and passion for Truth and Joy. There are so many lost souls in the world searching for Truth finding only guilt and despair. Find them and share His Love.

I recently visited a retirement government home of a friend and when we arrived they were giving out free bread, cakes and pastries from a local grocery store. Every elderly person in the community made their way by walkers, wheelchairs and half-steps to the community center to search out the sweet tooth desires of their heart. As I stood there watching them, I noticed an elderly lady who later I learned was 87 in a walker having trouble collecting her sweets so I offered to help her take them to her apartment. She replied, “Oh, God bless you,” signaling to me I could help. We walked slowly back to her apartment and sat and talked for a bit holding hands as I began to leave to pray with one another. Her tears of God’s Spirit rolled down her face as I blessed her diligence in loving the LORD learning I will embrace His Truth forever. There is such a need to give comfort to the elderly and I pray we take a more active role as Christians to share Jesus with them. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we today to always tell of Your Glory amongst all the nations and peoples of our life. We pray for peace and healing of my daughter Alexandra. We pray for our Nation to overcome our need to separate God from our lives. We pray this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 16:25

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-28-2011

For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 16:25

Jeremiah 20:7-9, Psalm 83, Romans 12:1-2 & Matthew 16:21-27

When you lose your life by taking up Christ’s Cross and following Him, you do not die for His sake yet your old life has fallen away and the new you in Christ has come alive in a surrender that gives hope to mankind. I’ve heard it said it is much easier to lay down your life and die than it is to become One with God in all things in giving up your life for His Truth. Think of that High Calling from God. Are you willing to give up everything for Him to dwell in your heart forever guiding you to an Eternal Home?

His Truth will set you free from desires of flesh and self by the Brightest Light the world has ever known illuminating every step you take making simple chores of life seem rewarding. The Light will illuminate your heart and soul when you empty yourself of all worldly desires and walk in His Light of Truth to accomplish faith, charity and love. To do the Will of the Father takes practice by reading your Bible more than just once a week.

The Will of God demands your attention to detail in giving Him your all in every situation even when the Light seems dim. It is precisely at these times when you must turn up the Flame of Christ by your practice and prayer ready to proclaim His Good News to the ones you love and don’t love. Make no distinction between the ones you know and don’t know or like or dislike. His Truth is meant for anyone at anytime and anywhere in world. For, “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” Matthew 16:25

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today our life always represents Your Will to proclaim Your Glory. We pray today for peace and healing of Alexandra. We pray for the people encountering the winds and rains of the hurricane near NY as well as my brother Chris who’s there living amongst its arrival. We pray all this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

Aspire to live a tranquil life, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your [own] hands, as we instructed you, that you may conduct yourselves properly toward outsiders and not depend on anyone.

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-27-2011

Aspire to live a tranquil life, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your [own] hands, as we instructed you, that you may conduct yourselves properly toward outsiders and not depend on anyone.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

1 Thessalonians 4:9-12, Psalm 98 & Matthew 25: 14-30

Paul reminds us today to live for the LORD’s Truth in life of the mundane as well as the life of supernatural grace by forming Godly habits through faith, charity and love in practice, prayer and proclamation. We are not born with habits or character; we must strive by our decision to allow God’s only Son to be our strength and Salvation to create Christ-like habits in our everyday life. The life of normal day-to-day things that seem boring and dry of God’s presence is when we must lift our hands high and be one with God in every step we make.

The tranquil life of serving the LORD can and will have those moments when every part of you is illuminated with His Spirit lifting you out of a cloud of despair and haze in situations you feel lost and hopeless by. There might be a great Light of Truth illuminated in your mind and soul that takes you to His Resting Place allowing you a feeling of safety and peace. But God is not going to give you Godly habits without effort on your part by diligently seeking His Truth more so in the times when life seems dry and lacking God’s flair. It is in these times of common moments that we must learn to live with the Power of God to fulfill His Will in everything we do. Seek His Kingdom by effort in charity and love to accomplish true communion with His purpose for you and the habits you create because of His Grace. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to live a life of forming habits for Your Truth by sharing Your Son’s Gospel with the people we know and don’t know. Give us strength of Purpose for Your Glory. We pray today for Alexandra’s peace and healing.  We pray a special prayer for Christine O’Donnell who fights for God’s Right to be everything the USA was meant to be. God Bless you and your work. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

This is the will of God, your holiness: that you refrain from immorality. For God did not call us to impurity but to holiness. 1 Thessalonians 4: 3 & 7

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-26-2011

This is the will of God, your holiness: that you refrain from immorality. For God did not call us to impurity but to holiness. 1 Thessalonians 4: 3 & 7

1 Thessalonians 4:1-8, Psalm 97 & Matthew 25:1-13

The Word of God teaches us today to strive for holiness because this is the Will of God. What does it mean to be Holy in your eyes? Going to church every Sunday? Attending Bible study once a week? Sticking a $20 bill in the plate? Helping your church conduct a Sunday picnic? Yes, all of these things are just the beginning of being Holy in the Eyes of God but there is so much more. Paul instructs us to give faith, share charity, live hope and be love.

Each and every moment of your life is conducted for the Glory of God allowing you live in Holiness with our LORD. He expects nothing less and wants us to give even more. God wants more of your time seeking Truth in His Holy Word by actively studying His Word several times a day to live in practice. God wants more of your talent in building up His Church in prayer by praying over everyting you do. Pray when you wake up. Pray when you eat. Pray when you drive. Pray when you when you work. Pray before you sleep. God expects more from you in sharing His Truth by your proclamation in word, action and deed. God has called you to Holiness. Do you feel Holy?

So we ask n prayer: Dear God, We pray today to be Holy for Your Glory. We pray for peace and healing of Alexandra. We pray for teachers and children learning in schools. We pray this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.
