Night and day we pray beyond measure to see you in person and to remedy the deficiencies of your faith. 1 Thessalonians 3:10

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-25-2011

Night and day we pray beyond measure to see you in person and to remedy the deficiencies of your faith. 1 Thessalonians 3:10

Blessed is that servant whom his master on his arrival finds doing so. Matthew 24:46

1 Thessalonians 3:7-13, Psalm 90 & Matthew 24:42-51

The temptations of the world can keep you from your task of serving the LORD with all your heart and soul if you do not pray night and day to keep you focused and vigilant on your faithful performance for God’s Will in your life. You can’t be afraid, ashamed or deficient in your faith in any way if you want to get everything God has in store for you. I know, the temptations of life can place a curve in your path but His Word can keep you in His Glory at all times. Tempted by lust? Turn to His Word. Tempted by drugs? Turn to His Word. Tempted by money? Turn to His Word.

You must seek His Word with confidence not relaying on your own strength but that of the LORD. Even in the midst of chaos, one must keep still and allow the LORD to be the LORD of all your life. “Be still and know that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.” Psalm 46:10  By your faithful and unselfish service to God’s Plan for your life, you will find wisdom of heart and seek only His faith, His hope and His love for every situation and your Master knows your faithful service before He takes you to His Heavenly Home. “Teach us to count our days aright, that we may gain wisdom of heart.” Psalm 90:12

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to be ever vigilant in our love for Your Will in our life. May Your Word always be our guide.  We pray for my beautiful daughter Alexandra’s peace and healing of life’s turmoil. We pray for peace in our own hearts as we seek Your Son’s Gospel of Life. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

Standing Amongst the Holy Ones of Faith

Ever affliction in life you may find

Guides you to see who is Mine

Not by seeking your own path to walk

But My Truth in hand guide you to talk

About His love and charity He gives us all

In your prayer and fasting seek not to fall

To direct you to know His Heavenly peace

By seeking the Gospel of life to increase

You blameless and holy before His eyes to know

How God can right your life-long woes

Standing amongst the Holy Ones of faith

Not seeking pleasures of self for Satan’s sake

Allowing you His Redemption of life to remake

You will see greater things than this. John 1:50c

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-24-2011

You will see greater things than this. John 1:50c

Revelation 21:9b-14, Psalm 145 & John 1:45-51

Do you believe you will see greater things than this, your everyday life? Philip is asked by Jesus to “Follow Me,” and he leaves everything behind to follow a complete stranger just as the others had done but Philip wants his close friend Nathaniel to come along for the ride and runs and tells him, “We have found the one about whom Moses wrote in the law, and also the prophets, Jesus, son of Joseph, from Nazareth.” John 1:45 Nathaniel questions just like you would question a friend who comes and tells you he has found the greatest miracle on earth when you say, “Are you sure?” We find it difficult to believe anything when people first tell us without verification on our own part.

Nathaniel goes and meets Jesus and comes away from this verification a surrendered Apostle for life. Jesus is asking us to be His Disciple in our life today when we encounter complete strangers to share the Truth of Salvation.  We are to tell them, “You will see greater things than these” by sharing the Gospel of Christ Jesus and living the Word of God as a witness to His Miracles He will perform in the life of a true believer. Miracles by God of healing from studying His Truth. Miracles of healing from prayer. Miracles of God of healing by your proclamation to a complete stranger who will change lives by God’s guidance. Miracles created by your testimony of God’s presence in everything you do. Do greater things by your belief in Christ Almighty. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today we may witness greater things with Jesus as our guide. We pray for peace and healing of Alexandra. We pray for our Kairos Prison Ministry Team. We pray this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

How you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God and to await His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from [the] dead, Jesus, Who delivers us from the coming wrath. 1 Thessalonians 1:9b-10

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-22-2011

How you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God and to await His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from [the] dead, Jesus, Who delivers us from the coming wrath. 1 Thessalonians 1:9b-10

1 Thessalonians 1:1-10, Psalm 149 & Matthew 23:13-22

I find myself thinking of the times in my life when I looked upon “stuff” as the idols of my desires. This stuff included anything and everything I played with, partied with or drove. All of these things sent my inner desires to accomplish selfish acts of sin where pleasing my body and mind were the most important acts of living I wanted each and every day. Just sit back and take a look at your life and describe your priorities. What do you see?

When you can consider the importance of God in every aspect of your life, then you are turning to God by the Glory of His Son’s Redemption. We are acting not upon our own regard but that of Christ’s strength to guide our every thought, our every action and our every deed. No matter where I am at I seem to look for someone to share Christ’s love with in fellowship, charity and love. It may be a homeless person sleeping on a bench or walking through a parking lot begging or someone who greets us in a winery in Orlando, Florida. One day we walked into Lakeridge Winery in Central Florida off Highway 27 about three years ago and met a determined lady in the LORD who touched me with her fervent love of Jesus and desire to help the people in Africa.

Paula Heidorn took my wife and I on a tour that day and we have been friends in the LORD ever since. We write each other often and pray for one another’s intentions to accomplish the Will of God. Paula has been working hard to go a mission trip to Uganda by holding different fundraisers to make enough money to go. You can find out more about her and her trip to Uganda at www.praiseandprophit.com. She loves to dance for the LORD and you can enjoy a video of her dancing for the LORD here as well. She leaves for Uganda soon with a priest from her parish. Please pray for her and visit her website to help her financially.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today we always turn to You LORD for everything ceasing our dependence on idols of flesh and mind. We pray for Paula as she makes her way to Africa for Your Glory. We pray for peace and healing of Alexandra. We pray for teachers who start their school year today. We pray all of this in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:19

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-21-2011

I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:19

Isaiah 22:19-23, Psalm 138 & Matthew 19

Upon the Rock of Peter Jesus built the Church that became the symbol for His Salvation for the last 2000 years. Every teaching came from the original base of Disciples who accepted Christ’s call to educate the world of His Redemption. When you accept His Call, the remainder of your life displays His love in everything you do. You are asked to continue the Teachings of Truth by your life’s willingness to learn and educate friends and complete strangers alike of Christ’s Salvation.

A very close friend of ours had a party last night to celebrate his healing from a serious illness he overcame after weeks in the hospital. At one point, we thought we might lose out close friend but our prayers became ever stronger during this time. He mentioned last night how powerful prayer is and he thanked us for praying for him. I commented that he displays such humility when he talks about God’s love in his life that God has healed him because of his trust in His Way. “Humble yourselves before the LORD, and He will lift you up.” James 4:10 Prayer is the most powerful tool we have. Us it! Amen!

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today for Humility. We pray today for peace and healing of Alexandra. We pray for teachers as they begin the new school year. We pray this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

Therefore, do and observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example. For they preach but they do not practice. Matthew 23:3

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-20-2011

Therefore, do and observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example. For they preach but they do not practice. Matthew 23:3

Ruth 2:1-3, 8-11; 4:13-17, Psalm 128 & Matthew 23:1-14

Do you know anybody who preaches but doesn’t practice? We’ve all heard the statement, “practice what you preach,” but can you really do that? I struggled for years with cigarettes always saying, “I know it’s bad for me but I’ll quit one day.” But time kept flying by and I kept smoking. I depended on God for nothing but knew He was EVERYTHING. Once I truly trusted Him, I was able to quit. It was obvious I didn’t trust Him until I learned to place all my burdens at the Foot of the Cross and seek only His strength, His love and His Truth in Word.

There’s a sense of being the God in your life when you preach and don’t practice. You rely on your own ways to accomplish your desires instead of seeking the Truth for Humanity in God’s Word of Life. I’ve heard people say, “man, it’s hard to read the Bible.” But it really isn’t. Once you pick it up and read about His Way, you’ll identify with something in your life and begin to allow His love to surround you. You will begin to crave knowing how He can give you rest. What surprises me is His Way of getting into your heart allowing your soul to study His Word to want faith, to want to give charity and to want to love everyone. People will see It before you will ever understand It; God.

People are the resource for instruction of God’s Word allowing you to receive as you learn to seek. Even the people who seem gifted by God to preach have been taught by someone who instilled God’s Word in their heart by the Spirit of Truth. Maybe it was a grandmother or a father or an elder in the church but someone shared His Word with them and gave them the “push in the pool” incentive to practice, pray and preach. You accomplish this in everything you do; your music, your Spirit or your work. Humble yourself to allow God’s Spirit to direct you in receiving the Word in blind faith, instilled action in charity and embraced feeling of love. Listen. Learn. Love.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to practice what we preach. We pray for peace and healing of Alexandra, Shiela and Ms. Juliet King’s mother. We pray for focus to ready our classrooms across America. We pray this in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest? Matthew 22:36

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-19-2011

Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest? Matthew 22:36

Ruth 1:1-22, Psalm 146 & Matthew 22: 14-40

A scholar of the law amongst the Pharisees questions Jesus to test Him expecting His answer to be contrary to the belief of a majority of the society so they may use His statements against Him when bringing charges against Him according to Roman law. They learn as many who challenge Jesus or God for that matter His Word is the Commandments of God where there is no argument just factual Truth.

Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” He said to him, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40

In loving the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your mind and all you soul takes a daily moment-by-moment approach to receive His Word in practice and then reflecting on His Word in prayer then repeating His Word in proclamation. I know, it’s hard to proclaim the Good News because many people are shy and timid but when you allow the Spirit of the Most High God to envelope your soul, you will become more outgoing in the LORD’s work and you’ll be astounded how He guides you every step of the way.

I am reminded of Isaiah 41:10, “Do not fear: I am with you; do not be anxious: I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” If you love your God with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your soul you find a peace and confidence to live each day in celebration of the LORD’s Truth. Only then will see your neighbor as yourself.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to always love You with all of our heart, mind and soul to live Your Will LORD to carry Your Truth. We pray for peace and healing of Alexandra, Kelly and Alysse. We pray this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

God Bless His Truth for America,

The second is a mirror of the first

A Commandment of Truth

I delight to do Your Will, my God; Your law is in my inner being! Psalm 40:9

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-18-2011

I delight to do Your Will, my God; Your law is in my inner being! Psalm 40:9

Judges 11:29-39a, Psalm 40 & Matthew 22:1-14

I am reminded today of the feelings I got when I surrendered all to the LORD by consecrating my life to His Will; a delight! A happy go-lucky feeling I have cherished since the day I said “Yes LORD, I will do You Will.” The Apostles taught the Gentiles they should live guiltless by their giving and trusting in the LORD’s Truth each and every day. There is no difference in anything they taught that we as Disciples in the 21st Century should not be teaching today.

Psalm 40 states the reasons why I embrace writing about His Truth every day to accomplish the LORD’s Will in practice, prayer and proclamation. “I do not conceal your righteousness within my heart; I speak of Your loyalty and Your Salvation. I do not hide Your mercy or faithfulness from a great assembly.” Psalm 40:11 How can anyone hide something more important than the Eternal Life given to us by the Blood of Christ on a Cross? We must share His Truth and work diligently to accomplish sharing Christ’s Salvation with family, friends and strangers alike. By His love you too can share His Truth with anyone at anytime and anywhere. Delight in His Will to proclaim His Truth.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today Your Will gives us delight all the days of our life. We pray for peace and healing of Alexandra, Kelly (Yay God) and Alysse. We pray this in Jesus Name. Amen.

Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last. Matthew 20:16

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-17-2011

Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last. Matthew 20:16

Judges 9:6-15, Psalm 21 & Matthew 20:1-16

We study the Parable of the Vineyard Workers today and begin to understand that Jesus was comparing the workers to His Disciples who surrender at different times in their lives to a life of following Christ’s Truth still receive the reward as all the others for God does not discriminate based on the amount of time you begin to follow Him. The payment of Eternal Life in Heaven with the Father and the Son is given to even the dying sinners on a death bed of disgust where the arms of Christ will soothe them and welcome them.

I know, it seems unfair to think that one could live a complete life of sin and yet still receive the reward promised by Christ but it is not out place to judge the wicked but to continually try and lift them up in prayer and compassion. I welcome the life I live as a life of a saint encouraged by God and Christ to live for the Trinity. Yes, God wants us to live saintly lives not lives filled with pride of self where we make “us” the item of our “God.” No, when you become a Disciple of Christ Jesus your pride, self interest and self-sufficiency has been completely erased allowing you to allow God to grant you graces fit for a saint.

This new name you are given erases the old names you lived with for so long becoming a new Child of God filled with faith, charity and love. I don’t know about you but I embrace the Name of God written on the imprints I make in the sand, along the paths of life and across my forehead to help bring anyone at anytime and anywhere to know Christ’s Freedom from sin. I felt it last Sunday when I was leaving my church and a man in 80’s possibly even his 90’s came walking up to me with his wife. I don’t know their names (yet) but she shook my hand as I said “God Bless You” and her husband standing next to me said, “I want a hug.” Reaching out his arms I held him a true hug of Christ’s love as he whispers in my ear, “St Paul says we should greet one another with a saintly hug.” I replied as held him a true “un abrazo,” I will expect this every week from now on.”  This I would describe as loving your love of Christ. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to never worry about where we are in any line of life because we are always first in Your eyes forgiven by the Blood of Your Son on a Cross. We pray for peace and healing of Alexandra, Kelly (thanks Brother), Alysse (surgery today) and everyone we pray for each and every day. Give us Your grace to live strong in You LORD. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for the sake of my name will receive a hundred times more, and will inherit eternal life. Matthew 19:29

Wig’s Word of God Today 8-16-2011

And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for the sake of my name will receive a hundred times more, and will inherit eternal life. Matthew 19:29

Judges 6:11-24a, Psalm 85 & Matthew 19:29-30

There will come a time in all of our lives that we will have to choose prayer over close relationships for family, friends, coworkers and humanity alike because they have chosen to follow selfish desires and not give their all to finding Eternal Life in Heaven with Jesus. You may even have to pray fervently for a daughter or a son who decides the way of the LORD is not for them straining a relationship of love and truth. No matter what you have done in your life Jesus holds His arms of forgiveness open wide where anyone who seeks His comfort can find it by just confessing your sins and turning to a life in the Spirit.

Fulfill the desire of the Spirit or the flesh will drive you to abandon your life for selfish desires leading you to sin but if you embrace the desires of the Spirit you will find the desire to sin will weaken in your life and the abundance joy of knowing Christ’s Truth will guide you to His Eternal Home. I admit my past life wasn’t true to His Call. I was selfish full of desires of the flesh coming from a home where alcohol and violence was the norm. I self-medicated myself for years with drugs and sex to escape my tormented childhood. Only by God’s Grace have I learned to embrace His Word and live for His Salvation. Don’t let the worries of past mistakes guide your success in His Truth for the future.

For “everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for the sake of my name will receive a hundred times more, and will inherit eternal life.” Matthew 19:29

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, I pray today to take away the pain of love I have for a lost child who prefers to condemn rather than forgive. I pray for strength to always find comfort in Your Word to guide me and strengthen me for Your Mission- Your Will. We pray for peace and healing of Alexandra, Kelly and Allen. We pray this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.
