He humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a Cross

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-17-2011

The Lord GOD has given me a well-trained tongue, That I might know how to speak to the weary a word that will rouse them. Morning after morning he opens my ear that I may hear; And I have not rebelled, have not turned back. Isaiah 50:4-5

He humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a Cross. Phillipians 2:8

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to His disciples said, “Take and eat; this is My Body.” Then He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you, for this is My Blood of the Covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins. Matthew 26:26-28

Isaiah 50:4-7, Psalm 22, Philippians 2:6-11 & Matthew 26- 27:54

Welcome to Palm Sunday where the Son of Man was given a parade by His followers as he drew near to His ultimate death for the forgiveness of sins. “This happened so that what had been spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled: Say to daughter Zion, ‘Behold, your King comes to you, meek and riding on an ass, and on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.” Matthew 21:4-5 People lining the roads waving palms at Him saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David; blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord; hosanna in the highest.” Matthew 21:9b The word hosanna comes from the Hebrew language used to express praise, adoration and joy which was expressed by the children of this parade and Jesus reminds us that “out of the mouths of infants and nurslings you have brought forth praise.” Matthew 21:16e This passage comes from Psalm 8:3: “Out of the mouths of babes and infants you have drawn a defense against your foes, to silence enemy and avenger.” Jesus said this to the Scribes and Elders who questioned Him about the children saying this to silence them as Scripture foretells.

Yesterday I watched a little 7-year-old boy pray for the babies about to be killed at an abortion clinic. He stood by his mother proclaiming the prayers with the adults as a little soldier of Christ. His blonde hair waving in the wind and his blue eyes captured a real love for Jesus. His mother was so proud of her little boy as he read the prayers and prayed aloud with many adults. Many of us as I looked around were brought to tears by the profession of faith in this little man of God and I reminded myself this is what they were killing inside this building we stood in front of and that it was “Out of the mouths of babes and infants you have drawn a defense against your foes, to silence enemy and avenger.”

Somehow someway we have to come together and educate our children of the tragedy’s of abortion. How it hurts women and men. The obvious pain of women from a child being torn out of her womb and the loss feeling of helplessness by a unsuspecting father for the loss of parenthood for the remainder of their lives. I feel this shame often when I think of the child I unknowingly agreed to kill when I was 19. She or he would have been 29 this year and my shame continues for killing a child of God. I was not educated on the effects of abortion or what it really meant. I thought it was nothing and didn’t realize until years later what it truly did to my soul. Here is the reason why I am an advocate for the rights of unborn children and the reasons why I pray for the babies at the abortion clinic almost every week. We must support groups like Christian Family Coalition who lobby for Pro Life efforts here in our state and the nation’s capital. Together we can make a difference.

I know the LORD has given me a well-trained tongue who will proclaim the Truth of Christ Jesus with passion, strength and endurance to accomplish the joy of sharing the Salvation of Jesus’ death on a Cross brought to all of humanity. Paul reminds us today that Jesus “emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, He humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a Cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the Name that is above every Name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:7-11 If you ever notice anyone bowing their head when they hear the Name of Jesus, know they are proclaiming their love of loving Christ with confidence and Truth.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today for people everywhere that they will know the Truth of Jesus Christ to accomplish living in faith, charity and love. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

It Will Be Loosed in Heaven by His Truth

The palms will always be waving

His Truth guiding humanity’s right

Riding high on the donkey of forgiveness

His Passion proving His might

Betrayed by a disciple of greed

Portrayed as the King of Light

Forgiveness is given to all

The poor and weak their right

He was truly obedient to His Father

Opening His Arms across our Cross

His Blood dripped for mankind’s sinfulness

His Salvation built on a Rock

The depths of the Hell can’t melt It

All was bonded on earth for His use

If it was loosed on earth by His graces

It will be loosed in Heaven by His Truth

If we leave Him alone, all will believe in Him

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-16-2011

My dwelling shall be with them; I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Ezekiel 37:27

If we leave Him alone, all will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our land and our nation. John 11:48

Ezekiel 37:21-28, Jer 31:10-13 & John 11:45-56

I can only imagine the population shift it would be during the times of Ezekiel in 627 BC where I’ve read he lived “in a time of moral decline.” During his life he served as prophet amongst a handful of other prophets such as Jeremiah who were also experiencing visions from the LORD. But today we have thousands if not millions of Christian Apostles worldwide. All having their only kind of experiences with God. All of us still claiming with confidence that He is our God and we are his people. There time of moral decline happening then is small compared to the moral decline our world as a whole has fallen to today. His talk of idols worship and abominations occurring then transfer to today’s obsession with selfishness, greed and power proving forgiveness was essential to a life surrendered to God.

Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead and people are freaking out. Step into their world then and witness people u-ing and awing Jesus. The scribes of the day felt threatened not only by His Power but His threat to their way of life under the watchful eye of Rome where ultimately the Church would truly originate. From there the arms of Christ are still reaching the four corners of the earth overcoming oppression and giving divine guidance each and every day. We can still reach the homeless like John who I described yesterday deserves a hug from someone more than once every five-to-ten years. Humanity needs Christ’s Truth to accomplish harmony of living in faith, charity and love. When we live a life of loving our love of His Son, we live a life of Truth guided divinely by His Word to live in His Will. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, I pray today I can live up to Your expectations of my life to live in Your Will. I pray for a gathering of minds to fulfill Your Son’s Truth. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen

The Sins of Humanity’s Eternal Meal

Lazarus walked with a smile
His life restored from Belief
People began to wonder and believe
If Jesus was the Christ indeed

His signs were compassion and wonder
His Father’s work through and through
Simple trust in His Way of living
Guided by His Word to faithfully use

His public walk became hidden
He prepared for His Time to reveal
The acceptance of His death forgiving
The sins of humanity’s Eternal meal

the Father is in Me and I am in the Father

Wig’s Word oof God Today 4-15-2011

Sing to the LORD, praise the LORD, For He has rescued the life of the poor from the power of the wicked! Jeremiah 20:13

If I do not perform My Father’s works, do not believe Me; but if I perform them, even if you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may realize (and understand) that the Father is in Me and I am in the Father. John 10:37-38

Jeremiah 20:10-13, Psalm 18 & John 10:31-42

Today there is a theme of trusting in God’s Will to overcome any and all obstacles including the injustices of people who do not understand the message he shares from the LORD. I met such a man yesterday as I journeyed to my ESOL class in North Miami. He was sitting on a curb slumped over at a gas station/ McDonalds. I approached him without him noticing and I bent down and asked him if I could buy him a hamburger. He slowly raised his head peering at me through eyes of emerald green with a long beard and mustache smiling and said, “I don’t like hamburgers but I sure would like a fish sandwich.” “My friend, ” I replied, “Yes sir, a fish sandwich it is, Would you like something to drink and some fries?” His smile grew wider and he said, “I’m craving a Coca-Cola.” “Yes sir,” I replied, ” I’ll have you some supper in just a bit.” As I walked off to enter the store he said after me, “I didn’t ask you for a thing but the LORD sent me an Angel today to feed me.”

I came back out with a fish sandwich and a Coca-Cola and he was still in the same place. I stepped off the curb and sat down next to him and extended my hand stating, my name is Thomas, what’s yours?” He replied, “my name is John grabbing my hand. Go figure, we both have Biblical names,” as we both chuckled at one another. For the next 10 minutes I sat and prayed with John as we talked about his life as a homeless person and his experiences on the harsh road of living in the streets of America. John was a college educated man, “I went to Baptist college and I was raised in the Word.” As we sat and talked to one another, I noticed John’s tattered clothes, rough hands and dirty arms and legs. His finger nails were broken and black and his exposed areas of his legs and arms were caked in dirt. I asked him, “when’s the last time you had a shower?” He smiled, he always smiled and said, “I can’t remember when.” Tears welled up in my eyes and I told him I’d be back next week to get him and he’d have a place to shower and sleep for the night in comfort.

I was ashamed my busy life didn’t allow me to take him to a motel right then and instead I asked John where he was camping which was just around the corner as he pointed up the street a ways. I then stood and asked him to stand too. He was frail as I took his arms and lifted him up to embrace me and pray with me in a hug that seemed to last for at least a minute. He whispered in my ear crying, “I haven’t been held by anyone in such a long time. God sent me an Angel who has comforted me in my time of distress.” “I am just a messenger of the LORD’s love who can set you free from any bondage,” I replied. “Seek Him and find His Truth. I’ll see you next week!” As I walked away, I smiled and waved and he was repeating, “I didn’t ask him for nothin, no sir, nothin.” When we embrace our love of loving Christ Jesus, we can share the Works of Christ to friends and strangers alike. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, today I pray for John who lives in a world full of uncertainty but lives in a world of faith in Your Son’s Truth. Protect the lonely and give them Angel’s of mercy to give them hope. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

In My Works See the Father

He shared His Father’s Truth
In works of mercy as proof
Death of works has no faith
Stones of nonsense and hate

The Word of God came from He
The Father Who’s works I see
I am Son of God you will need
Your sins will disappear indeed

In My works see the Father
His strength is in me as I in Him
There is nothing impossible to win
I am the Light of Salvation’s grin

Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps My Word will never see death

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-14-2011

On your part, you and your descendants after you must keep my covenant throughout the ages. Genesis 17:9

If I glorify Myself, My glory is worth nothing; but it is My Father Who glorifies Me, of Whom you say, He is our God. John 8:54

Genesis 17:3-9, Psalm 105 & John 8:51-59

The LORD makes a covenant with Abram and promises him as long as he and his descendants will worship God and God alone, he would make his offspring the kings of the world and they will possess all the land of Canaan. The LORD said Abram would now be called Abraham because of this covenant and God would bless him for his obedience. God expects us to be obedient to His Word and when we are not His graces will be absent from our lives. When our obedience slips, His graces become like the wind blowing in our faces yet we cannot see them. It is only when we live our lives in faith, charity and love by our practice, prayer and proclamation will we receive His graces of divine guidance. We will recognize everything we do as the winds of His presence and our lives will be filled with His Will.

Jesus explains to the Jews as we finish Chapter 8 of the Gospel of John that He was present when His Father established the covenant of Abram to be known as Abraham by all the faithful. Of course they did not understand this and began to think He was crazy and blasphemous. He again tells them all they would not taste death if they keep His Word. “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps My Word will never see death.” John 8:51 He further explains that He did not come to glorify Himself but to give all glory to His Father Who glorifies His Son and sent Him to establish the New Covenant of love to bring peace and forgiveness to the world. I’m sure it must have been hard to believe for the Jews that Jesus was present when God made His covenant with Abraham but through faith and trust we all can be obedient to loving our love of Christ Who takes away the sin of the world. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today we will always Glorify You in all things living to accomplish Your Will for all Eternity. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

If you remain in My word, you will truly be My disciples, and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-13-2011

If you remain in My word, you will truly be My disciples, and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.” John 8: 31b-32

Daniel 3:14-20, 91-92, 95, Daniel 3: 52-55 & John 8:31-42

Today we return to Daniel’s story of the servants of King Nebuchadnezzar, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who would not deny knowing their God or worship any other idol in replace of our God. When we remain steadfast in our worship to the One and True God, He abundantly blesses us with blessings beyond our wildest imaginations just as He blessed the the servants of the King who were blessed with life in the midst of fire. This fire is burning up people everywhere who do not show their love and respect for His Word, His decrees and His Son’s Truth. The fire can be anything we use in a life of sin; hatred, blasphemy, sexual misconduct, excessive self-esteem, lying, murder, drugs and alcohol, a wicked heart who plots evil against their fellow man, mischief of any kind, deceitful witness and so on.

Jesus tells the Jews to remain in His Word and you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free. Free from a life of sin and selfishness abiding in the love of Christ to accomplish the Will of the Father for His Glory. There is a freedom that comes from taking the time everyday to read the Word of God and contemplate His guidance in your life. It’s important to note that true contemplation I learned in my retreat last weekend is to abandon everything when you are praying and look for God to guide you to His Will by listening and writing down the feelings you encounter when letting go and being with God. Contemplation is not meditation or reflection but a complete surrender to God’s Truth allowing His grace to work the miracles in every aspect of your life from your marriage to work to acts of charity- His Truth in His Will for you will set you free. Loving your love of Christ will set you free! Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to always be true disciples of yuour love and Truth allowing others to experience Your Freedom. We pray today for my sister Theresa who celebrates a birthday today. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

For if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-12-2011

We have sinned in complaining against the LORD and you. Numbers 21:7b

That is why I told you that you will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins. John 8:24

Numbers 21:4-9, Psalm 102 & John 8:21-30

People have been complaining about our LORD from the beginning of time. “Why have you brought us up from Egypt to die in this desert,
where there is no food or water? We are disgusted with this wretched food
!” Number 21:5 Moses had delivered them from slavery yet they were still whining. We hear people whine everyday about everything from jobs to spouses but it is our trust in God even when times are tough that we should get down on our knees and thank the LORD for life and the ability to praise Him. God’s Wrath is an eternal damnation for living a life of unfaithful sin of unrighteousness. We don’t like to talk about His Wrath but it is real as the Truth His Son brought to the world. Either you believe in His Wrath or one day you will experience first hand.

Jesus knew unbelievers would experience the Wrath of His Father and spoke of it often. Here in John 8 Jesus explains He has much to say about being condemned for not believing in the Father or Jesus saying, “I have much to say about you in condemnation. But the one Who sent Me is True, and what I heard from Him I tell the world.” John 8:26 Obviously Jesus knew His Father would allow those who do not believe to die in their own self fulfilling prophesies and come to taste death without knowing the Eternal Life and Truth of Christ Jesus. “That is why I told you that you will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.” John 8:24 We live in His Protection by our love of loving Jesus and we are commanded to share His Truth with the world. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, I continue my prayers for Jhaysonn and his healing. Today we pray for courage to be a people of thanksgiving in good times and in bad. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

The Father Taught Me What to Say

Far away to the Light I will go
Where only the Truth can be seen
To follow His Truth you must show
Love for the Father and of Me

The depths of fire you will see
As I ascend to the heights to Be
Seated at His Right Hand to judge
By every Word written by His decree

This world is where you belong
It is not where I will stay
Unless you believe that I AM
My Father’s Wrath will be your pay

You must lift up the Son of Man
To share in His Eternal Glory
The Father taught Me what to say
His Word is not the end of the story

O eternal God, you know what is hidden and are aware of all things before they come to be

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-11-2011

O eternal God, you know what is hidden and are aware of all things before they come to be. Daniel 13:42

Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her. John 8:7c

Daniel 13, Psalm 23 & John 8:1-11

The sin of lust and greed has affected humanity since the day of Adam and Eve. Daniel describes the events leading up to the accusation of Susanna the wife of Joakim who by description was “a very beautiful and God-fearing woman.” Susanna would take walks daily in her garden where two elders who were also judges began to notice her and failed to “look to heaven” and began to lust after her. It seems that every day the two would watch her from afar until one day while she was bathing in her garden the two came down and plotted to bribe her to have a relation with them.

Being of God-fearing stature, Susanna refused and screamed aloud. When the elders came the following day to put her to death. “Through tears she looked up to heaven, for she trusted in the Lord wholeheartedly,” and after being accused Daniel stated he would not be associated with the killing of an innocent woman and asked to question the two knowing they were lying. He proved they were providing false witness against her and they both received what she would have received if Daniel hadn’t proved her innocence; death. In trusting the LORD, we must endure the lies of evil people who seek to accomplish lustful acts of sin but we will be vindicated by the Truth of God in our hearts.

Jesus is brought an adulteress woman who the Pharisees accuse of having an affair. They stood her in the middle saying, “Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” John 8:5 Jesus kneeled down and began to write on the ground with his finger representing a passage of Jeremiah that states, “Those who turn away from Thee shall be written in the earth, for they have forsaken the Fountain of Living Water.” Jeremiah 17:13 Jesus knowing these Pharisees were not without sin and were forsaking the Son of God replied with, “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” One by one they walked away leaving her alone with Jesus where His forgiveness is bestowed upon her and she is told not to sin any more. When we love our love of Christ, we are forgiven and should seek His Truth in His Word and by prayer and proclamation and attempt to live without sin to accomplish the Glory of God. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today we always bear true witness to our brothers and sisters and seek forgiveness by repenting daily through studying Your Word. We pray all of this in the Name of Jesus Christ, our LORD. Amen.

Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

The Living Waters Flowed to Prove

A woman was lead before Him
She was accused of being untrue
Her life of adulteress living
Led her to Christ Who foreknew

Jesus foreknew her accusers were sinners
Throw the first rock if you live in truth
One-by-one they left her
Not a one had lived sinless by proof

Jesus asked where are your accusers
Writing upon the ground to move
The souls of many who trust Him
The Living Waters flowed to prove

Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-10-2011

I will put My Spirit in you that you may live. Ezekiel 37:14a

Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. Romans 8:9e
And Jesus wept. John 11:35

Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believe you will see the glory of God?” John 11:40

Ezekiel 37:12-14, Psalm 130, Romans 8:8-11 & John 11:1-45

I begin today with an apology because I am so late today sending my study. I know, many of you have already been to “service” today soaking in the Word or relishing the Mass or both of course. This weekend lead me to a silent Ignatius Retreat called Magis. In many ways it was a magical weekend full of silent one-on-one contemplation with the LORD where I wrote and encountered Jesus and the Holy Spirit but I learned it’s hard to stay absolutely silent when the world is beckoning at your door. Magis means more in Latin. The ability to give more yet expect less. Yes, less is more in charity and love. This was my first real silent retreat but indeed it will not be my last. St. Ignatius of Loyola went from a mean fighter to seeking sainthood after 30 years of roughneck carousing. Many of us can attest to seemingly waiting until we are older to give it all to the LORD but Ignatius’ all lead him to writing an amazing insight of prayers that ultimately has given many people the opportunity to be in communion with God.

This amazing saint broke down praying and giving it all to the LORD through a step-by-step process. Yes, I’m sure there are many types of prayers in the world but if you want to get in communion with God his writings will change the way you view giving your all to the LORD. He recognized the need to surrender to the LORD every moment of every day. Each little thing by examining your conscious to allowing the Blood of Christ to drip on your sin itself. There is so much to seek when you consecrate yourself to living a life of Christ in your thoughts, in your conscious and your deeds. The retreat will allow you to withdraw and contemplate God’s Will and discern Christ’s call for more- more of us in giving the world faith, charity and love taking on the reality of Christ in day-to-day to nourish the Spirit. I will describe this nourishment as more than a surrender, a communion with the Trinity of God in all things; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is no coincidence the study today was being One in the Spirit as Paul so eloquently wrote, it’s learning to conduct all affairs in the Spirit of God that gives us strength, courage and love of living the Gospel for the greater Glory of God. Amen.

Today’s Gospel message in John 11 Jesus shows us a side we are sure that’s there but not displayed often. He went to a Cross without crying or stammering or begging for His life. He accepted His task as God’s Will while being in pain from whips and chains to having His hands and feet nailed to our Cross; our Cross of Salvation. He lead by example and His example gives us guidance to accept the LORD’s Will establishing in us a desire to be His messenger of sharing His Redemption. The Bible tells us Jesus cried when hearing of the death of His friend Lazarus. His reaction is one of His humanistic quality but His Majestic Power raised Lazarus to show He was the Christ, the living Son of God. He paved the way for giving more while receiving less and He gave His life to prove it. When you can give your life of more self to loving your love of Christ you can experience less worries and live in a complete confidence of His Truth to guide your every moment of living. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today for Your Will to accomplish Magis in our lives for the greater Glory of God. My wife and I pray especially for the new found friends who taught us how to embrace a Christian Life Community in everything we do. In Jesus Name we pray.  Amen.

Magis

In silence I learned
A word in Latin to yearn
Magis is the word
Meaning more to be heard

Acquire this surrender
A life of Christ to see
Where more is less
Less is everything to be

Where all senses seek
His creation to respect
The world is a gift
Treat Her with no regret

Empty yourself of sin
Asking to give more and win
Redemption when we fall
God’s Son Eternal Call

Incarnation from self
Mary’s worry she shelved

We too must find
God’s love in the Divine

Two standards we learned

Good and evil to discern
A battlefield of sin
Christ’s standard will win
Now it’s time to discern
Open our hearts to learn
God will overwhelm our soul
True freedom to forever show

Take on His Passion
Live to testify rejecting sin
His suffering in others

His Cross of death turned Eternal Life to win

We live in contemplation
We abandon our life for Him

Allow God to take control
Christ’s reflection in the wind

We are the church

We live and believe to see
His Spirit guiding us all
To teach humanity One Body His decree

His community was set
On the Cross He did bleed
Cleansing all to witness
His eternal life for you and me

Our Magis retreat is over
More is less to fulfill
Christ’s call to conversion
Ignatius life to live His will

Therefore, thus says the LORD: See, I bring upon them misfortune which they cannot escape. Though they cry out to me, I will not listen to them.

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-9-2011

This is truly the Prophet. Others said, “This is the Christ.” John 7:40-41

Therefore, thus says the LORD: See, I bring upon them misfortune which they cannot escape. Though they cry out to me, I will not listen to them. Jeremiah 11:11

Wisdom 2:1a, 12-22, Psalm 34 & John 7:1-2, 10, 25-30

There’s an escape of joy when one can close their eyes and imagine being in the crowd where Jesus is teaching and listening to His eloquent manners and soothing voice. I often sit back and close my eyes and listen to His voice speaking as I read His words of faith, charity and love. My mind tingles and my heart will glow as the sounds of His Magnificence instructs my soul to accomplish His Will. Just close your eyes after reading the daily verses and imagine the feeling of knowing Him and trusting Him even more when people mislead you and lead you to sin.

The LORD will open His Arms of Forgiveness and soothe your aching soul by your repenting attitude and action. Those who come and go will earn their just reward by being unfaithful and on the fence when deciding to a complete surrender. The LORD of all wants all of you! He wants your gratitude and your commitment to share His Son’s Redemption. Let us love our love of Christ in all situations sharing soothing forgiveness to anyone we meet. Share His love today with a stranger or that friend at work needing a permanent fix; Jesus Christ! Amen!

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today for patience as my wife and I attend a weekend silent Ignatius retreat. Give us the aitence to be silent in sound yet open in heart and soul. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Whoever chooses to do His will shall know whether My teaching is from God or whether I speak on My own

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-8-2011

And they knew not the hidden counsels of God; neither did they count on a recompense of holiness nor discern the innocent souls’ reward. Wisdom 2:22

Whoever chooses to do His will shall know whether My teaching is from God or whether I speak on My own. Whoever speaks on his own seeks his own glory, but whoever seeks the glory of the One who sent him is truthful, and there is no wrong in him. John 7: 17-18

Wisdom 2:1a, 12-22, Psalm 34 & John 7:1-2, 10, 25-30

Where and when does one finally understand the importance of seeking the counsel of God by practice, praying and proclamation? Did you find it in the streets of loneliness looking for a thrill? Did you find it in the bars of strip clubs seeking to ruin your marriage? Did you find it in the bedroom with a man or woman you knew didn’t love you? We seek hidden thrills of life yet fail to recognize the Truth to accomplish the Will of God because we are too busy seeking the pleasures of life. The LORD wants us to know His Holiness and reap the innocent soul’s reward by seeking His hidden counsels in reading you Bible daily, praying unceasingly and sharing His Son’s Good News with anyone, anywhere at anytime. There is a wisdom we receive allowing us to be steadfast in His love by our practice, prayer and proclamation. Amen.

In John today we learn how the people of Galilee began debating if Jesus was indeed the Christ, the Holy One of God as Jesus Himself remained hidden until He decided to teach once again in the Temple area. His teaching astounded many because He taught with Authority as a Rabbi does because they are taught by one another yet Jesus had not been taught by anyone but God Himself. “The Jews were amazed and said, “How does He know scripture without having studied?” Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not My own but is from the One Who sent Me.” John 7: 15-16 I have learned the importance of seeking the Glory of the Father by my love of doing His Will to accomplish in me works of faith, charity and love. When we learn to empty ourselves and fill our days with His guidance and glory, we learn to live in surrender to His Truth by loving our love of Christ for the Glory of God. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today for the strength to remain silent during our Silent Ignatius retreat this weekend. I ask for Your mercy to hear Your instruction and be guided by Your Holy Spirit to enlighten my heart, mind and soul for the Glory of You. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Death of Sins for All of You- John 7

To Galilee He went
To attend the Feast
The Tabernacle was set
The future place retreat

In secret He had gone
Only His Word He shared
Openly He sought to give
His Father’s love prepared

Many thought He was Truth
Some thought He was a lie
Did the authorities know He was Christ?
Even as He was prepared to die

You must know My Father
For life to be given anew
Sent from Heaven above
Death of sins for all of you
