Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and enter into His glory

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-27-2011

I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the Name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, (rise and) walk. Acts 3:6

Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and enter into His glory? Luke 24:26

Acts 3:1-10, Psalm 105 & Luke 24:13-35

The scene at the “Beautiful Gate” where the Disciples Peter and John walk through on their way to the Temple for afternoon prayers encounter the cripple man who begs for alms there daily to survive. Peter tells the man he has no money but what he does have is worth more than anything in the world: Healing in the Name of Christ Jesus. The man is healed and walks into the Temple with them praising God and rejoicing. This scene reminds me of a time I stopped and talked to a homeless man begging for money near a gas station. I approached him and asked if he was hungry and offered to buy him some food.

After getting his meal, we spoke for a few minutes and I asked him why he was on the streets and asked if he knew Jesus as his personal Savior. I think many of us are intimidated by these people because they are dirty, smelly or full of the unknown but I’m here to tell you they are lonely, scared and full of promise to become a witness of God Almighty, they just need an opportunity for someone to share His Truth with them to give them faith, hope and courage. This man I met needed more than money or food, he needed a Disciple of Christ to share His message of love and forgiveness. We have to leave the outcome to Free Will but we have to offer hope in prayer to seed the desire to become a Disciple of Christ themselves.

I tell people I’ve walked the Road to Emmaus countless times in my life encountering Jesus on the road of life. By my way of thinking I open myself up to His visits daily seeking to mirror His compassion, His humility and His love. It is the road you walk every day when you seek solitude in prayer. It may be a walk during lunch at work or a walk after work at home but the encounter with Jesus becomes vividly present by opening our hearts and soul to His Word. Look to Scripture to guide you in your encounter with Jesus by picking a verse from anywhere and repeating it to yourself as you walk; “Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and enter into His Glory?” or a Psalm such as 105:4, “Look to the LORD in His strength; seek to serve Him constantly.” When you walk your Road to Emmaus, be open to loving your love of Christ and feel your heart burning within you as you walk. Amen.
So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today our walk with Christ will be full of confidence and our encounter with His love will burn in our hearts to share His Truth with anyone, anytime and anywhere. We ask this in His Holy Precious Name, Christ Jesus. Amen.

The Walk to Emmaus Everyone Must Do

Walking alone His Disciples somberly spoke

The tragedy their heart did obviously note
Jesus the Nazorean had been foolishly killed
On a Cross where His Blood forever spilled

Jesus came upon them in complete disguise
They did not recognize the man to report
The unknown they spoke about they did retort
His smile was wide and knowledge a Godly fort

Must not the Messiah suffer these things?
O foolish hearts of trust in God to gain
He shared the Truth from beginning to cusp
Filled with the knowledge the Father His lust

Coming to the place they had traveled to
Asking the man to stay for dinner in leau
Of traveling further because it was dusk
He obliged and sat with them in trust

At the table of forgiveness He said a prayer
Taking the Bread of Life holding it in the air
Take and eat My Body He broke to share
Their eyes opened to Christ Who cared

Were not our hearts burning as He eloquently spoke
Of all that occurred to His heart that was broke
His Blood spilled for me and for you
The Walk to Emmaus everyone must do

Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-26-2011

Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

Acts 2:36-41, Psalm 33 & John 20:11-18

How many of you remember when you were Baptized? I know, many of you were Baptized as a baby and confirmed later but not me, I was Baptized when I was thirty at a Midnight Easter Vigil and I can tell you I felt the Holy Spirit move me to tears as I processed up with many other first timers. I kept thinking, “Am I worthy, Am I worthy, Am I worthy,” while the feeling of His Truth kept resounding in my heart and soul, “I died for your sins. My Truth will set you free.” Well free it did set me. I chose to embrace His Truth in more ways than one; I chose to practice by reading my bible every day. I chose to pray every moment of every day over everything and every deed. I chose to share His Truth by my proclamation to anyone, anywhere and anytime.

The message of Peter he shared on that first Pentecost day after Jesus’ Death and Ascension is as important today as it was then. “For the promise is made to you and to your children and to all those far off, whomever the Lord our God will call.” He testified with many other arguments, and was exhorting them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” Acts 2:39-40 I would argue that the generations of people since have grown in corruption and sin. One only has to look at a television program and see how sinful behavior is exalted over the Truth by selfish acts of sin. Our culture will promote excessive sex and cheating on your spouses is ok and then celebrate this with the actors as a good example to follow. Our world is missing the values of loving thy neighbors, family and Truth through living the Word of God so much I believe the LORD’s wrath will fall upon on our world to clean up this mess before too long. Be examples of His Truth and stay steadfast to your love of loving Christ Jesus for the good of all Humanity. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: My LORD and my God, we pray today Your gift of the Holy Spirit dwells in our souls to live every moment to Glorify You and Your Son’s Truth. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

He received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father and poured it forth, as you (both) see and hear

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-25-2011

God raised this Jesus; of this we are all witnesses. Exalted at the right hand of God, He received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father and poured it forth, as you (both) see and hear. Acts 2:32-33

Jesus met them on their way and greeted them. They approached, embraced His feet, and did Him homage. Matthew 28:9

Acts 2:14, 22-33, Psalm 16 & Matthew 28:8-15

The Feast of Weeks- “Shavuot,” as the Jews called it was celebrated seven seven times after Passover literally meaning 50 days. In Greek it came to be known as the Pentecost and Peter and the Disciples had all been keeping a very low profile in Jerusalem and now they were all together in one place during the “Shavuot” as a Great Wind came rushing upon where they were at on each one of them as Tongues of Fire and each began to speak different utterances being filled with the Holy Spirit as a Great Sign from Heaven above. One must remember the words of John the Baptist at the Baptism of our LORD where he said, “He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.” This caused the city great wonder as the Jews began to follow each other to the site of where the Great Wind and sounds were coming from.

There the Jews heard them speaking great words of wisdom about God and Jesus being the Son of God in their own languages. Yes, these uneducated Galileans were speaking in the languages or “tongues” so each could understand. What does this mean? It means God had instituted the spreading of the Gospel of His Son’s Truth to all nations of the earth. Jesus Himself appeared to the Disciples teaching them before He Ascended into Heaven asking not to leave Jerusalem saying wait for “the promise of the Father about which you have heard Me speak; for John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 1:4-5 By loving our love of Christ we can trust the Father will guide us to this “great and magnificent day” by our practice, prayer and proclamation taking refuge in the LORD’s mercy for “everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” Acts 2:21

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today we are always ready to accept your call by our practice, by our prayer and by our proclamation. We pray this in the Name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

The Christ the King is LORD over the Meek

Seven seven times equals the Feast of Weeks
His time after He rose lasted less than we seek
He promised the Father would heal the weak
Baptizing wind and fire tongues they did speak

Children of the world hear and repeat
The love of God’s Son will save you
Know this you lowly and rich to complete
His Salvation of your soul all who are weak

God did raise His Son to prove He was He
The Mighty One of the world always at the peak
Put down your defenses and always fully greet
The Christ the King is LORD over the meek

This Man God raised (on) the third day and granted that He be visible

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-24-2011 Resurrection Sunday

This Man God raised (on) the third day and granted that He be visible, not to all the people, but to us, the witnesses chosen by God in advance, who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead. Acts 10: 40-41

If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Colossians 3:1

For they did not yet understand the Scripture that He had to rise from the dead. John 20:9

Acts 10:34a, 37-43, Psalm 118, Colossians 3:1-4 & John 20: 1-9

I awoke early on the Third Day to hear two of His Disciples running by my hut muttering, “she says the tomb was empty.” I looked out and saw one running faster than the other and I slipped away from my three children who were still sleeping to follow them and see what had happened. As they approached the tomb, the enormous rock over the entrance had been rolled away and the one named Simon Peter had just arrived. They both went in and appeared a moment later saying, “He has been taken.” My heart rejoiced for I knew in my heart no one had stole the body of Jesus the Christ for I had overheard Him saying He would rise on third day. Quietly I returned to my hut and prayed to God Almighty that His raising had occurred in accordance with His Teachings.

Our imaginary mother has witnessed the empty tomb. Not an Easter Bunny hopping away. Not a hidden egg behind a rock but an empty tomb and has believed. The Son of Man has returned to life from the Power of the Father to prove His Divine Truth and we celebrate this fact over 2000 years later because He has shown us His Life, Death and Resurrection occurred for the Forgiveness of Sins for all Humanity so we may live in harmony with one another and gain Eternal Life for those who believe. Paul tells us in Acts 10 that Jesus was appointed by the Living God to judge the living and the dead and “to Him all the prophets bear witness, that everyone who believes in Him will receive forgiveness of sins through His name.” Acts 10:43

We celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ as an embrace of our complete surrender to His New Covenant of Love allowing Humanity to have forgiveness of sins giving us faith, hope and love to share with all mankind. His Resurrection bears witness to God’s Divine Plan for mankind giving us Redemption of hatred, jealously and greed providing a hope of Salvation to all. This is a true celebration of life over death that can only come from God. You too “were raise with Christ” giving you a complete sense of trust deep inside your soul where the Son dwells in Spirit providing you a Oneness with His Truth through your practice, prayer and proclamation. As Thomas Merton once wrote, “you must actively participate in Christ’s Truth to overcome doubt and to live in faith. For faith means doubt of a human person seeking the divine.” In His Resurrection you celebrate your love of loving His Truth and embrace Him as the Way of living in joy and sorrows of life. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Heaven King and Almighty Father, we pray today to always celebrate Your Son’s Resurrection through our faith, our charity and our love of His Truth. We pray our celebration of His Resurrection will give us confidence to provide hope for the imprisoned, the lonely and the sick. We ask this through Christ our LORD Whom lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit One God forever and ever. Amen.

His life was shameless providing hope
His life was honored allowing you to cope

You can see Him in every living thing
You can see Him pouring in the rain

You can see Him in the faith we gain

You can see Him in a beggars smile
You can see Him solve a fight
You can see Him you have the right

If, then, we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-23-2011

My love shall never leave you nor My Covenant of peace be shaken, says the LORD, Who has mercy on you. Isaiah 54:10b

If, then, we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him. Romans 6:8

His appearance was like lightning and his clothing was white as snow. Matthew 28:3

Isaiah 54:5-14, Romans 6:3-11 & Matthew 28:1-10

Allow yourself to be taken back to the point of Jesus’ death on the Cross. You are a bystander who has heard His Teachings and yet you are dismayed they have Nailed Him to a tree because He spoke of being the Son of God. You witnessed His healing Power in a man being raised from the dead and you believe He is the Messiah, the living Son of David. As you watch from a distance with your three children, your oldest exclaims, “He is praying for the ones who tortured Him mommy.” Your eyes fill with tears and your baby girl who you are holding in your arms begins to cry with you. You look up and witness His Blood dripping from His torn skin, nails in His Feet and Hands and the thorns they placed on His head and your middle child exclaims, “they just put a spear in His side and water came out! Why must they hurt Him over and over? He is dead.”

As you lay awake on Friday night, you wonder why such cruelty has happened to a man who was filled with such love for all mankind. His eloquent way of teaching made so much sense. “Love your neighbor as yourself” you repeat to yourself aloud as the darkness of a somber night surrounds you. Finally, you drift off to sleep and dreams of Jesus being alive fill your head and there becomes a peace in your heart and soul. You awake the next morning refreshed and filled with a renewed feeling of hope yet you are unsure why. The day is filled with talk of wonder and dismay because Jesus is gone but you feel something has changed. You are renewed by the unknown reality of Christ’s sacrifice for all and your day ends again with you repeating “love your neighbor as yourself” as the sounds of children sleeping surround you.

You are witnessing the reality of something we thought was wrong yet turned out to be something that was absolutely correct. As Isaiah reminds us, “My love shall never leave you nor My Covenant of peace be shaken” is a feeling we carry today over two thousand years later and will continue for all Eternity. By your surrender to His Truth you have died with Him be shedding your sins and allowing yourself to live with Him in Truth and wonder to accomplish the Will of the Father. This cruel and unusual act of terror has been replaced with a thankful peace because you completely understand the acts of violence and ultimate death of Jesus was for your peace and ability to live an Eternal Life where resurrection of self comes into play every single day of your existence. “Consequently, you too must think of yourselves as (being) dead to sin and living for God in Christ Jesus.” Romans 6:11 Our love of loving Christ gives us hope to live His Resurrection every day of our lives. Amen!

So we ask in prayer: My LORD and My GOD, we pray today to have patient peace to see, feel and live the Resurrection of Your Son’s Truth to provide faith, charity and love to those in need. We pray this in the Name of Christ Your Son Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit One God forever and ever. Amen.

It is finished. And bowing His head, He handed over the spirit

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-22-2011

A grave was assigned Him among the wicked and a burial place with evildoers, Though He had done no wrong nor spoken any falsehood. Isaiah 53:9

Son though He was, He learned obedience from what He suffered; and when He was made perfect, He became the source of Eternal Salvation for all who obey Him. Hebrews 5:8-9

When Jesus had taken the wine, He said, “It is finished.” And bowing His head, He handed over the spirit. John 19:30

 Isaiah 52:13—53:12, Psalm 32, Hebrews 4:14-16; 5:7-9 & John 18:1—19:42

Many a child has asked me, “why is the Friday before Easter called Good Friday?” I always say because Jesus Christ was Crucified and died that day to fulfill the destiny of God’s Only Son eliminating sin from humanity for those who believe because His death and resurrection proved God’s Divine ability’s enabling humanity to have a release from sin. All things good happened by His death my children allowing those who believe to have an Eternal Life free from Satan’s grip on our soul. Our freedom was Eternally Won giving us the Truth God wanted mankind to know and understand to accomplish faith, charity and love for all of history. As Paul so eloquently wrote in 1 Peter 2:24, “He himself bore our sins in His body upon the Cross, so that, free from sin, we might live for righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.”

There must be reconciliation to live in peace and many have proved God’s Eternal Love for us has changed the minds and hearts of countless people. By our actions of faith, charity and love we learn to live amongst ourselves in harmony seeking to be proactive in our homes, neighborhoods, communities, countries and our world for the love of justice and peace. My amazing God-fearing wife has been troubled as have I with a neighborhood situation lately of children fighting and causing children and families alike to be hurt and afraid. Through her prayers and guidance of God we have held hands and prayed with our neighbor’s parents and children by holding hands and asking for forgiveness and peace to overcome their desires to retaliate and further destroy the harmony and peace of our world. She began to pray of a way to promote peace and harmony in our neighborhood sharing her plans with a close friend in Christ and was called by God to initiate a neighborhood feet washing to follow the examples Christ Who washed the feet of His Disciples and commanded them to do the same.

Her friend made 33 sandwiches and my wife made signs and posted them on her car at our neighborhood park stating “Free Feet Washing.” I wasn’t surprised to hear that the first feet they washed were our neighbor’s mom and daughter who have been trying to stop the fighting with her children. Many more came and spoke with my wife and her friend where they prayed, washed their feet and spoke of God’s love to change the minds of all people involved on both sides of the conflict. Children of the neighborhood came as well as other residents and received copies of prayers to follow, rosaries and explanations of why Jesus washed the feet of His Disciples. Her last foot washing was a man who said he would let them wash his feet if he washed theirs. This was a beautiful way to initiate a resurrected weekend by being proactive to accomplish the Will of God for faith, charity and love. By loving your love of Christ we become Apostles of His Truth to lead by example. Amen!

So we ask in prayer: Heavenly King and Father, we pray today for all things Good to be examples of our love of loving Your Son by our actions, by our prayers and by our life’s examples. In Jesus Holy Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,
Thomas Joe Cruz-Wiggins

Eternal Life the Reward of Holy Friday’s Deed

A garden was His last place to pray
Accepted fate as God’s Will that day
Miraculous healing of an ear he touched
His love of humanity His only guided lust

The betrayer led them to His prayerful place
Jesus the Nazorean was called to face
A crucifixion for sins shame though sinless
The Father’s Will His Truth and blameless

He faced Pilate with true humility
His fate sealed by the Cross of Reality
Forgive them Father was His formality
Humanity’s sin forgiven His totality

Not a bone was broken as He hung on our Cross
Blood and water flowed from this cost
Covering the sins of all who believe
Eternal Life the reward of Holy Friday’s deed

I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-21-2011

This day shall be a memorial feast for you, which all your generations shall celebrate with pilgrimage to the LORD, as a perpetual institution. Exodus 12:14

I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do. John 13:15

Exodus 12:1-8, 11-14, Psalm 116, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, & John 13:1-15

This week all over the world the Feast of Passover is celebrated by Christians and Jewish people alike. The Jewish People celebrate the liberation from slavery and we Christians celebrate the Last Supper which was conducted as a Passover meal. The New Covenant of Jesus Christ was instituted to share in His Body and Blood for all eternity. Just as the Blood of the Lamb protected them from the wrath of God, so too does the Blood of the Lamb protect and guide us for evermore. Jesus commanded us to partake in the eating of His Body and Blood by His Command; “While they were eating, He took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is My body.” Then He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank from it. He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant, which will be shed for many.” Mark 14:22-24

In John there is an amazing connection Jesus makes with His Disciples by the washing of their feet. A beautiful display of Christ’s love for His Disciples and a model to follow as well as His undying humility. I have been in retreats where the washing of feet took place and I can tell you it is a powerful act of humility and respect for your Brothers and Sisters in Christ. I would have to say it was probably one of the most moving and emotional times I have ever felt the Holy Spirit enter me when I had my feet washed by my good friend George Labelle in my very first Emmaus weekend. This big brute of a man towering over me bent down and washed my feet took away any feelings of hesitation of giving myself completely to a life of Christ. Right there and then my life was changed because a man instilled in me the love of Christ Jesus allowing me to understand how much I loved my love of He Who shed His Blood for me. To this day, a cherished memory I will always remember.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to always have the humility to wash the feet of our brothers or sisters in Christ embracing the model Christ Himself gave us to follow. May our act of humble servitude guide us to be better proclaimers of His Truth. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray Me

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-20-2011

Morning after morning He opens my ear that I may hear; and I have not rebelled, have not turned back. Isaiah 50:4c-5

For the LORD hears the poor, does not spurn those in bondage. Psalm 69:34

Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray Me. Matthew 26:21b

Isaiah 50:4-9a, Psalm 69 & Matthew 26:14-25

Isaiah calls to the LORD in times of need continuously and is steadfast in this prayer of surrender. His ability to discern the LORD’s guidance in his writings gives humanity the knowledge to overcome any fear. Where are you in your surrender to God? Where are you in your closeness to His Written Truth each and every day to shore up your needs to serve Him and praise Him? Every morning I quietly sit with the Word of God and listen to His guidance trusting the decisions I make based on His Truth. Are you seeking His guidance to accomplish His WIll in your life?

Today we read the account of the Last Supper in Matthew where Judas is identified by Jesus handing him the dipped morsel of bread. Our reading begins with Judas asking the Pharisees what they are willing to pay to have Jesus handed over to them. Yesterday in John Judas does not deny he is the one who will betray our LORD but instead leaves quickly to accomplish his work of giving up Jesus to his foes. I’m sure all of us have had our times of giving in to Satan’s pleasures instead of living each moment of every day in His forgiving love. Somehow, someway we must strive to give an unconditional love of loving our love of Christ Jesus. Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, We pray today for open ears to hear Your Truth and to never rebel by betraying Your love in selfish acts of sin. make us a people of faith, charity and love to fulfill Your Will in our lives. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

God Bless,

As I have loved you, so you also should love one another

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-19-2011

I am made glorious in the sight of the LORD, and my God is now my strength! Isaiah 49:5c

I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. John  13:34

Isaiah 49:1-6, Psalm 71 & John 13:21-33, 36-38

Day after day the reason I get up and write to my heart’s content is to share Christ’s love providing examples of faith, hope and charity allowing the heart of those who read my writings and poetry to experience a daily communion with God through His Word. Many of you have shared that because of my writings and poetry you have established a routine to read your Bible along with me and we share His Truth together. Many have ask: How do you study the Bible? I simply get away daily at the different times and begin reading the different Gospels to lift my spirit to accomplish His Will. As Isaiah explains today in chapter 49, I believe God has called from the very beginning to accomplish sharing His Truth. “The LORD called me from birth, from my mother’s womb he gave me my name. He made of me a sharp-edged sword and concealed me in the shadow of his arm. He made me a polished arrow, in his quiver he hid me.” Isaiah 49:1b-2 The LORD has readied me able to serve and preach His Word with diligence, precision and confidence to accomplish His Will for the greater Glory of God. Amen.

Today in John 13 Jesus describes who is traitor is during the Last Supper and expedites his planned behavior in the midst of the Twelve to accomplish the Salvation of Souls for all Eternity. When God speaks to us, He calls into action as He even called Judas to complete his work to stay steadfast on the plan God had revealed to Him to shoulder the sins of the world. Obviously, Jesus could have called upon an army of Angels to protect Him and save His life but His Father revealed His Plan to save humanity from eternal damnation. Jesus experienced all things human; pain, sadness, despair, crying immense torture, joy, and love. The Father kept nothing from Him except sin for our benefit to lead by example giving us faith, hope and love to share with the world.  He lived a life of poverty instead of riches and He discerned good versus evil. He walked with humility and chose this humble life over honor or wealth where He shared His humiliation over pride. He proved He would conquer death and establish a New Covenant of Love providing mankind an escape from an eternal life of sin. He said to love one another as He loved us providing a joy in loving your love of His Truth. You are forgiven and Christ is your strength! Amen.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today for my good friend August who has been an example of Your Son’s Truth. We pray for his healing and his peace LORD. We pray today we live to provide hope and charity for the those less fortunate than us through our love of loving Christ Jesus. Today I ask for special intentions to pass my certification exam. In Jesus Holy Name we pray. Amen.

My Cross Will be Your Guide to Form

He reclined with the Twelve
His Last Supper was set
Troubled and worried gave way
He called Judas to action with no regret

Simon Peter asked with a nod
Who my LORD can it be?
The one who accepts the morsel I dip
At once he took it he left for his evil trip

Glorified in Him was the Father
He accepted His call with no bother
Where I go you can’t come just yet
Your duty is to reassure humanity will get

My Truth and love in written form
Though you denied me three times
Your love of Me will overcome the scorn
My Cross will be your guide to form

I believe I shall enjoy the LORD’S goodness in the land of the living

Wig’s Word of God Today 4-18-2011

I believe I shall enjoy the LORD’S goodness in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13

Isaiah 42:1-7, Psalm 27 & John 12:1-11

Isaiah speaks of the LORD’s covenant where He will bring a Savior for the world who will be “a Light for the nations, To open the eyes of the blind, to bring out prisoners from confinement, and from the dungeon, those who live in darkness.” Isaiah 42:6f-7 Many of us live a life of goodness in the LORD where we accomplish all as the Will of God. We are not afraid to answer the call of God and live for His Truth providing hope, charity and love for the troubled hearted. Sometimes we must actively get involved when the unknown is present. My beautiful wife sent me a text on Saturday to describe just that. While I was away at a meeting Saturday with the Christian Family Coalition, I get a message from her asking me to pray for a neighbor who was fighting and many people had gathered to witness and talk trash to one another. My amazing God-fearing wife stepped out of our front door to stop two girls teenage girls from fighting. There were close to twenty people encouraging the fight as well as yelling obscenities as she yelled out to stop.

Apparently the girls stopped but the crowd continued to talk trash to one another and she went back inside to call the police. Once I arrived home an hour or so later, she asked if I would go over to see them and pray with them. I must admit I was hesitant at first, but I was confident the LORD had a plan for her. We went over and spoke to the mother who had been at work the whole day and just arrived home. My wife asked if we could pray with them and we all went inside to where the girl who had been fighting was with her sisters and brothers and we all held hands as my wife spoke a prayer of peace and forgiveness. Sometimes we must get involved when the LORD calls us even if we are frightened or unsure of our abilities to handle a situation. We must trust in the LORD and conquer the fear by allowing the Spirit of God to lead us. I am so proud of my wife’s passion of sharing her love of loving Christ Jesus and praying with our neighbors or strangers alike that I hope this story shares some courage Christ Jesus brings to all who embrace His Truth.

So we ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to always have Christ’s courage to share His Truth by our faith, our charity and our love to mankind. Be our Guide and our Protector. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Christ Knew His Intentions

A meal was enjoyed with Lazarus

His sisters joining too
Mary anointed Christ’s feet with fragrant oil
While Christ rebuked Judas a fool

The poor will always be with you
But I must die very soon
Christ knew his intentions
As Mary dried His feet of perfume
